My wife’s family’s child is a FZL, plays suicide, and plays with jumping off buildings, truly worries people to death.
It seems that some of the LZ‘s original posts and pictures were deleted or “harmonized”. The picture on the left is supposed to be the girl.
The general story is that this girl’s parents are divorced, she often cut her wrist, and also once tried to kill herself by jumping off a building. However, she was not successful and was in the hospital for over a month and this news appeared in the LZ‘s hometown.
FZL is “fei zhu liu” (非主流) which means “anti-mainstream”. It is similar to “emo” and refers to young people who are characterized by how they dress and their attitude about life. Many people dislike fei zhu liu because they feel these kids intentionally do controversial things to get other people’s attention or to be “cool.” Here was an old post about fei zhu liu in Anhui.
