gh72:

I have told my LG [老公, lao gong, husband] to sit when urinating, so this way it will not spray on the outside. He replied with one sentence: “As long as one is a man, he will never sit down to pee”. He even continues to say how embarrassing it would be if he were to be seen by others [sitting down to urinate]. MMD, when pissing at home, other than me who else would see? Outside, I do not care if you stand or sit, it isn’t me who cleans the toilet, crazy!

NOV_NO.2:

I am a relatively careless/unconcerned person, never knowing how much my pay at work has increased, but CN he is far more calculating/stingy than I.

I say I want to buy something and he always generously says, “buy it, buy it, don’t be so frugal,” ce na, other people hearing this all say how truly generous my husband is, but in reality he is just letting me use my own RMB to buy. 汗 撞墙

心肝宝丢:

My husband will pick his feet and then smell it, pick again, then put it under his nose again to smell, repeating this endlessly, his expression even being full of enjoyment.

When I can no longer take it, I say “friend, are you sniffing drugs?!!!”

He replies to me: “All men are like this.”

吐血 吐血 吐血 吐血 吐血

beulah0122:

Hahaha~~~when taking my husband to go buy groceries, he does not know much. When I buy lily (to make green bean soup), he quietly says to me: “If you didn’t tell me, I would have thought it was garlic!” I tell him that soy beans [黄豆] are the same as soya beans [毛豆, edamame?], just that soy beans [黄豆] are older soya beans, but he refuses to believe me and only reluctantly believed after asking his mother~~~I faint!

11291129:

1. No sense of responsibility. When he will not be coming home at night for dinner or will come home late, [he] never knows to inform me, and even naturally says he has never had this habit.
2. Likes to boast, likes to be shrewd/deep with me, even saying to me: “Can you make me feel that you have a little bit of shrewdness? CN, what shrewdness is there between married couples. If he really encounters someone who is going to take advantage of him, he’s dead meat.
3. Does things sluggishly, talks sluggishly. Say 10 sentences and he will reply with 3 sentences. If you ask him too many questions, he’ll consider you annoying. CN, I married a mute.
4. Foolishly filial [always listens to parents regardless], his mother can never be criticized, NND, When living under one roof, when sleeping at my mother’s home, he will not even know to help open a window [will not help with anything].
5. Does not like to exercise. Almost 103kg, with a stomach that is like 8 months [pregnant], yet still too lazy to move. Every time he comes home it is the computer. After eating, sleep. Snores like thunder.

Too many too many~~

luilay:

I like to watch tvb [Hong Kong television channel], and he says I lack ambition..
I watch entertainment news, and he says I gossip.
As long as I am watching television, he will say I am obstructing him from working…in reality, every time we are watching television, he watches with great enjoyment..
Okay, now we might as well neither watch…one computer per person…clean and clear…

小阿咪:

Mine:
1. Everyday when he comes back at night, he will not bathe, and his face, a rinse counts as having washed. In the morning before going to work, however, he must bathe completely, making himself look so clean. No matter how many times I complain about this to him, it is no use.
2. Even when he does bathe at night, if there is no one else at home, he loves walking around naked. His physique/body I will not mention, from the side it is like a “B”. His bosom is better than mine.
3. Housework is for women, this is his ultimate principle. Him washing the dishes is an additional/unnecessary display of his incomparable love for me, but any little thing I do not do right is me not carrying out my responsibilities properly. cn!!
4. He never knows to show concern for me. I have a little sick and his first reaction is: “What is wrong with you this time?” Makes it seem like me being sick is a burden for him…such a cold heart…
5. When it comes to talking, he has a lot to say, but when it comes to actual action, there is nothing.
6. Never remembers any anniversaries, including our daughter’s birthday…cn!! Where did all these days disappear to..
There’s more, let me think!

kelianxixi:

When I married him, a part of the reason was because he is very handsome. Now that his weight of 100kg has destroyed his appearance, thinking of this is really sad. 偷笑
I remember before we were married, my mother-in-law said I was homely, and even said with an air of superiority that having a child that looks good is a kind of asset, that [him] finding a wife would not be a concern for them [the parents], that there are girls who will give them money [to marry him]. Although, at the time, there was a girl with a family net worth in the millions (considered rich at that time) who was chasing my husband. Later, however, my husband felt more secure with me in the home [less worry of wife cheating], that my temper is good, that I always listen to him, and so he chose me. Now that I think about it, I bet my mother-in-law is even more sad than me! Her beautiful son turned out this way! That was her arrogance! hoho~

kelianxixi:

I have a bad habit, which is that I occasionally secretly check my husband’s mobile phone text messages.
Yesterday, one of our good friends’ wife gave birth to a daughter, and I secretly saw that my husband sent him [the friend/husband] this kind of text message:
“I guessed that you would have have a daughter, because guys like us who cannot control our wives will be controlled by daughters in the future, poor us!”
Seeing this I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

taotaosally:

He wanted to make love and I refused, so he became furious! He’s is still mad at me, after 3 days!

  2. Hey where is the mens complaints about wives

  3. Man, I just don’t get the first post. What is the deal with men in China not knowing how to pee properly? Every urinal that I’ve ever used in China has puddles of piss around it on the floor, and the first post on this story the wife’s complaining about how he sprays pee all over the seat when he goes. Dude, I learned to pee properly when I was like 5 or something.

    • “Every urinal that I’ve ever used in China has puddles of piss around it on the floor”

      Lots of foreigners

      • Dude, compare your average Chinese public restroom with your average Western public restroom….world of difference.

Are you going to also blame “foreigners’ (general term for anyone who isn’t Chinese) for the crotchless pants Chinese babies wear instead of diapers?

I suppose it’s all the fault of foreigners than Chinese parents and grandparents allow (possibly encourage) their babies and children to urinate and deficate in public places such as supermarkets and buses.

Get real and stop blaming everything on foreigners, that’s absurd.

In fact, when I was in China I found that usually only bathrooms belonging to foreign businesses and companies were cleaned/maintained and supplied with soap and toilet paper.

        • comparing public toilets to ones for wealthier business people??

I live in a western country and believe me, public toilets anywhere in the world are horrible.

You also like to complain about the previous comment blaming ‘foreigners’, but you like to join in with people who just like to take any opportunity to make racist comments about chinese.

  4. im actually surprised at how mundane these comments are

judging from my experience it seems like women would complain more about their husbands drinking and whoring living hundreds of miles away and only seeing them a few times a year but i guess these are shanghainese women and dont have the same problems women in other parts of the country might have

  5. I’m surprised I didn’t see any wives complain about a husband’s nose-picking. I wonder why?

  6. The one about the husband picking his feet “with a face full of enjoyment” just slayed me. Yo, how do these guys even hook up in the first place? Wake me up, I’m on Mars, son!

    • It’s called foot fetishism. Most women love their man doing her feet(don’t ask, they wouldn’t admit!), but this dude turned to his own ones after wedding and his wife got pissed off.

  7. These Chinese wives’ complaints are so entertaining….wish we could compare them with western womens’ complaints about their husbands to see what the differences and similarities are.

  8. Dear Sir/madam
It is common sence to learn to pee 1 on the inside of the pedistal with legs close to it and nothing will drip on the rim or the floor no body taught me how to use your tolite I observed so should your husband otherwise he will be classed as ill bred

  9. It goes without saying that after each of these posts it is written in invisible internet ink: “But I love him with all my heart and would think of being without him.”

“You that picks your feet and smells the fingers, you complete me!”

  10. “3. Does things sluggishly, talks sluggishly. Say 10 sentences and he will reply with 3 sentences. If you ask him too many questions, he’ll consider you annoying. CN, I married a mute.”

Sounds like this chic talks too much. I bet he wishes HE had married a mute.

  11. - Later, however, my husband felt more secure with me in the home [less worry of wife cheating], that my temper is good, that I always listen to him, and so he chose me. Now that I think about it, I bet my mother-in-law is even more sad than me! Her beautiful son turned out this way! That was her arrogance! –

I like to see how she has become

  12. 2 ideas stand out prominently as i read these posts with my adorable wife (yes, im a foreign boy married with a super fine ZG ren): 1)these complaints make us good guys look even BETTER! and 2)the divorce rate in China has already begun to reflect these sad truths as time wears on… good luck ladies – give ‘em hell and don’t take their $#!+. chinaboys – grow the f up! or your ladies will certainly continue to seek elsewhere.

  13. Wow. Why in the world do Chinese women get married in the first place? Was it not possible to know what type of person you were marrying? How is it that you did not know any of these things about your future husbands before you were married?

Why get married in the first place if all you are going to do is complain?

I don’t have a perfect marriage, however, I would like to believe we’ve worked out our differences to the point that if we have a legitimate complaint, we can talk about it.

Maybe none of these couples should have been married in the first place.

    Very odd.

  14. Chinese women complain way too much. I think they should take a look at themselves and maybe realize that maybe other people or men are the cause of their problems, but it’s themselves. They need to take responsibilities for their own problems. Instead of constantly complaining, they need to make a change. I am not sure how Chinese men can put up with so much complaints. I am beginning to understand why Chinese people prefer boys over girls. Chinese girls will grow up to be complaining Chinese wives.

  15. Husbands in China, and in other countries, definitely need more discipline! What about sending ALL boys into the Army, where male AND female drill instructors would train them to be clean and to respect women? Isn’t that a brilliant idea?

  16. I suggested in my previous comment, as a half-joke, that boys should be taught to be clean and to respect women as a part of their military training. But I think that learning to respect girls should begin at an early age, and not just in China. School is the right place. Respecting women should be part of the ciurriculum, first explaining to the boys how they are expected to be nice and considerate to the school-girls, and punishing them if they don’t, at least a public apology + some useful work like cleaning the class-room or the school-grounds.
I am 100% percent aginst corporal punishment, though, and I hope it does not happen in Chinese schools.

  17. I read these comments today and realize I am a great catch, haha. I have a Chinese GF and she said to me the other day, “My God, are you real? You are completely perfect.” Haha, of course I am not perfect. I think I am normal. I am not sure why they love me so much. Here are the keys to girls really digging me:

    1. I am confident and good looking, I am from Los Angeles where guys have to look their best because there is too much competition – that means trimming your body hair so it’s not too long, plucking your eyebrows so the shape looks good, but not feminine, even cutting nose hair and ear hair, if you have any that needs to be trimmed. Your nails should always be trimmed – feet and toes – and no nasty long little finger nail – what the hell is up with that? This grooming is pretty common sense, but there is a line between guys maintaining yourself and being NSync about it. I’m not talking about doing it that way, just maintaining yourself.

    2. I am clean but not phobic. I never piss on the floor or the rim. If I accidentally do, I’ll take some tp and clean it. Everything is organized and clean. When girls visited my place in LA (no bullshit) they would always say, “You don’t really live here. Where is all the crap on the counters, etc? This place looks like a magazine photo.”

    3. I have good fashion sense. I wear DG, Prada and my white sneaks are always white. If they get dirty, I clean them.

    4. I am very kind. If someone slips on the bus because the driver accelerates, I will catch them. If there is vomit on the ground and another person is walking and not paying attention, I will say, 小心,and point it out. I never litter or spit anywhere. I love animals. If I see a homeless dog, I give it water from my water bottle or feed it if I have food that is ok for dogs to eat.

    5. I know how to make money. I understand the balance of a steady job while at the same time entrepreneuring to create wealth.

    6. No irritating habits. I would never pass gas in front of a girl – never or pick my nose or feet. I shower everyday and have excellent hygiene. I don’t snore.

    7. I am a great communicator. If she is unhappy, I will try to understand her feelings. I really listen to her. If she is right, I will admit it and follow her way.

    8. I don’t smoke or drink in excess. I don’t go out with the boys and leave her alone. If I want to go out, I will bring her with me.

    9. I don’t play video games. If I wanted to play a video game, we would choose it together and play it together.

    10. I am a considerate lover. I get the most pleasure from making her feel good.

    11. I would never put my mother’s opinion above my girl’s. My girl is the most important person in my life, no one else – including friends, even comes close.

    12. I am generous. I would never make a girl to buy her own things. My money is completely her money. I would never hold anything back from her. Her happiness is my happiness.

    13. I genuinely appreciate and love Chinese culture and the people. They are so friendly – especially in Beijing! I take the time to learn the language and love to visit many places in China.

    14. I respect women. I would never degrade them, insult them or talk down to them. Your girl is your partner and she is usually right about most things. so it is better to have an open mind.

These are just the basics. I know, most of you are thinking how arrogant I am. But really… am I? To me, all of these things are basic common sense. I didn’t talk about anything great about me that you also can’t have. The part about me being good looking basically just meant taking care of yourself, eating well and exercising. This is all normal, isn’t it?

Ok, so what about flaws? I really don’t like doing dishes or the laundry. Fuck, I really hate it. But, I will do it sometimes to make my girl happy. That was the big thing my last girl in LA complained about, so I should work on that. Also, I spend money too fast. My last girl got angry about that sometimes. I’m learning to budget myself in China so that is good.

About Chinese girls being gold diggers or just wanting a green card. That is way over-rated. I have never met a girl who asked me to buy anything for her. Not one, in China. A couple in LA, but not one in China. As a matter of fact, Chinese girls have spent way more on me than I have spent so far. They are the sweetest, most wonderful girls I have ever met. I have the reverse problem of what I had in LA. In LA, it was, “All these girls are not genuine. How can I marry one? I need a good girl.” In China it’s “Oh my God, these girls are so incredibly great, how the hell do I choose one to marry?” I have been in China for about 5 months and I am loving it.

Everyone has problems. But the question is, do you want to be better? Think about it? What can you do to be a better person, a better life partner? You will be more happy, I guarantee it.

    • 1) Many of your habits sound a bit______.
      2) 5 months is a NEWB. You have to be here a while longer than that before you can pass judgement on what Chinese girls do. I know Chinese girls who can hold their guts in for 5 months … no prob.

    • TLDR

But I know one thing your girl might start complaining about:

“He loves himself more than he loves me! He’s only good to me so that he can make himself look good compared to other guys!”

    • darkandlovelykissedbythe

Your 1st proposal via the internet. Marry me.

  18. Murci,
what an arrogant piece of a little boy.
    Be humble and grow up.

  19. Men of the China, Chinese Men worldwide and Men of the World, read the article on the link and be cautioned on what is happening :

    http://www.henrymakow.com/feminism_is_key_to_making_of_a.html

  20. “As long as one is a man, he will never sit down to pee”

Score one for masculinity, Chinese brother!

    Hoo Rah! LOL =)

  21. my chinese roommate said she will marry her current boyfriend she has been with for about two or three months. I said ‘wow really?’ and she said, ‘i am at the age now where i should be getting married, and my boyfriend and i get along well and we are a good match, so it is only common sense.’
i live in a little hunan town, but i feel like this traditional attitude might be china’s in general. maybe its this rush to get married that these girls and guys are caught up in that makes them forget some of the other things that might come up in a marriage. (for example her boyfriend pees everywhere, i can vouch for that since every time he is here, our bathroom smells like a public toilet!! I hear for you poster number 1)
but then again, my romantic ideas about marrying because of love might not get me much of anywhere either :-)

  22. I personally think a lot of this tension is from the Chinese women withholding sex to get whatever they want and the guys get pissed off. After all of that both sides start doing things to piss the other side off. Personally I think if the men in China are lazy bumbs after they get married and the Women think they can withhold sex for everything. Both sides are full of BS!!!!!! Anyway, being a guy I’m bias so I think witholding Sex is the worse of the two and women you should know that witholding sex doesn’t work, it just promotes cheating!!!!!

  23. Again no surprise, and yet the men complain about the local women going to foreigners… If Chinese men had a clue how to treat a woman, how to behave around a woman (and learned about foreplay) well perhaps the women (wives) would complain less about them and maybe stop trying to get with the foreign men.

  24. At my work, theres puddles of pee around the urinals. I worked for the same company back home, no puddles there. Even in China the ayis clean up the toilets every hour and do a decent job, but somehow it takes about 15 minutes, and it’s back the same way it was. And these people are white collar university educated workers, not countryside folks. There must be something wrong with the Chinese male’s depth vision.
