    Anybody with even a passing aquaintance with life in mainland China will be au faix with the liberal attitude towards secretions.

    Though on the more extreme end of the scale, I once saw a guy jack of in a net bar, then wipe his *nut-butter* on the sofa.

      there are many bad habits (pick up nose,throw rubbish,spit everywhere…)for Chinese, the reason : most people grow up in the poor and low education families, the family was struggling for living, the parents did not know how to educate the kids ,didn’t teach them how to behave decently in public place. when they grew up, they do these as normal conditional reflex.
      yes Chinese is bad behave at some public,but they didnt mean to no harm anyone,there is reason for the behave.
      as your mind is much worse than Chinese, one is reflex, one is inside your mind , racial towards other people who is the worst one?

    My students aren’t little kids, and they pick their noses all the time. One of them even eats it. She licks her fingers as if she had just finished a tasty drumstick at KFC.

        The girl in this video doubled that immune system boost by smearing them on the bacteria/virus/apocalyptic-plague-ridden back of the seat in front of her, then cramming that same finger right back into her nose. The stickiness of the common booger (especially ones that seemingly difficult to remove) ensures that most, if not all, bacteria and viruses will be removed from the seat and put directly in line to assault her spinal column with a healthy dose of meningitis blast.

    Geez some of you are real wankers. Ever walked the streets of New York? Hey I stayed right next to Madison Square Gardens and random dudes were just pissing right the side of the street while other homeless people were lying in row down the pavement. Walk any Western city at night be it in the US, Europe, Australia and there’ll be someone pissing behind a bin in an alleyway somewhere. Hell I do it after a few beers.

    So stop being a bunch of hypocritical asses. So what if someone was picking their nose? If it’s filmed then we can all laugh at it. But it’s not as if nobody here hasn’t picked their nose in private. So saying you’ll be sick and that it’s so ‘typical mainlander’ or ‘these people’ is just your crappy little inner selves coming out – needing a relative comparison to make yourself feel better in this world. Because let’s face it. A lot of you live in China, a country you love to hate and are addicted to the feeling of superiority it gives when you comment about the natives. Only difference between now and colonial times is that you really don’t belong to the elite class, in fact many of the ‘natives’ actually are doing better than you and you’re only there because you know back home you’re just another loser.

    If it makes you feel better why don’t you look up video of some guy pissing on the sidewalk? Maybe instead of disgust some of you will actually be swooning.

    Many people are going to get particles in their noses because of the air pollution. People can get sick from snot on bus seat. All people must breathe the air full of chemical pollution, this is a larger threat. Seems netizens upset more from social misbehavior than actual health threat.

      Keep your misinformed opinions to yourself. Cleaning diseased boogers from your nose and wiping them on a fucking seat doesn’t decrease the intake of chemical pollution into your lungs, “the larger threat”. A booger is essentially a collection of dust gathered up by mucus created within your nose, dust, not “chemical pollution”. If you want to breathe in less of this dust, and have less nose shit, wear a cyclists mask….don’t share yer grime with the public.

    Surely, if anyone, da lu ren should be best at replying to this one…the strategy is to create a bigger gap. I would imagine that by opening ones jaw and pushing the upper lip down, you can widen your nostril and as such, get a deeper penetration into the nasal cavity. Try the stretch and see. It’s like finger hooking a girls ass while you’re hittin’ it, a little stretch and you can tighten the sides and widen the slit. Transferable Skill-sets 4 the win.

      This is particularly helpful to create small gaps in between hardened boogers and your nasal tissue. You can nicely work these gaps with your finger nails. The idea is to loosen and remove large portions of material from the higher up parts of your nose that your fingers can’t get to. It is always quite a thrill when that happens. Use the finger hooking analogy on this at your own risk.

    I’m surprised no one’s posted the famous pictures of Henry Kissinger picking his nose.

    This reminds me of the time I was watching a “news conference” at 2AM in the morning on CCTV9 (yes I have insomnia). For some reason they allowed the camera to linger on a journalist picking her nose for about 45 seconds. Was everyone asleep in the gallery, why didn’t they change to another camera immediately?

    ho-hum. See it every day. whats the big fuss? Never had a taxi driver sat at a red light nonchalantly pick his nose? I always get the right change for those guys – or let them keep it.

    My favourite is the “lean forward, block one nostril and blow it out the other” practice that is absolutely disgusting to say the least. They do this as they ride along on their bicycles too. Grosses me out if I am anywhere behind them!

    Running (and pilates) is one of the few sports I enjoy. When I am out on a long 2-7 mile jog, sometimes you have to “cross country blow.” Which is described accuratley by “sad”.

    It’s not about being gross. It’s about handling bodily functions in an appropriate manner under stress. What would you do, soldier?

      I agree sometimes it is necessary to do the “bushman’s blow”. However, there’s such a thing as being discrete…. You don’t have to advertise it to the world, and make disgusting hocking sounds, like a cat coughing up a fur ball, when u need to spit. Tissues are a pretty awesome invention too….

      Sometimes I think they’re gonna blow their brains out, or poke a finger into their brain. I can see it one day here on Chinasmack: Someone digging for gold one day on the bus and the brakes get slammed on, thereby lodging their finger halfway into their brain and causing brain damage. Oh well, no sympathy from me… I think it’s kinda poetic justice for being a dirty, uncouth pig.

    As someone pointed out. She is most likely uneducated. Doing that on a bus is really odd. She may also be mentally handicapped. Eitherway, I don’t really feel like mocking her. Im sure she didn’t expect to be put out on the internet like that. Now, she will face a lot of dirty stares from people. Its really quite a shame. The guy recording, could have a least given her a tissue…

    On the other hand, that is over picking. There are no boogers that require THAT MUCH picking. The booger inside of the human nose, requires very little pressure for it to come out. All I need is a tissue and about 5 seconds, to release a booger mound. Which is why I am not defending her either. She was over doing it bit. Not sure why… Were her booger cryogenically frozen inside of her nose? Also, wiping it on the seat is in poor taste. I know poor people have better manners than that.

    Truly vicious boogers sometimes have an ungodly adhesion coefficient. really difficult to get out. Everyone picks their nose… fewer do it in PUBLIC.
    EVEN FEWER PASTE IT ON THE SEAT OF A BUS. The pople (Germans will laugh),,,oops PEOPLE who defend this kind of border line retarded woman, do so out of some strange kinship of nostril picking or just a knee-jerk ‘Da Lu Ren stick together’thing. No idea.

    Not a day goes by that I don’t see someone in public picking their nose or spitting a loogie in China. I once saw a cook standing outside of a resturant and proceed to spit and pick his nose.. he did this without any shame and all the while customers inside were eating thier food. I guess this type of behaviour is acceptable in this country. I’ve been living in China for several years and I must admit that i’ve rarely seen a Chinese person use a tissue. Personally I think it’s gross and anyone including non-chinese folks that pick thier nose or spit in public (without use of a tissue) are pigs. I don’t think these people that display this type of behaviour accually realize how stupid and retarded they look.

    For crying out loud!!! USE TISSUE PEOPLE BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IT’S FOR!!!!!

    If you ask me what is wrong with picking the nose, I’d say nothing’s wrong – if you do not make others feel uncomfortable.

    But there is a difference in:
    - picking the nose in public
    - picking the nose in public then rub off on a surface other than a tissue/disposable material
    - picking the nose in private with proper nasal hygiene conducts such as washing off/disposing the dried nasal mucus, the finger(s) or tool used.

    Nose-picking as like belching and urination in public, is not socially appreciated or accepted. What’s private should be kept private.

    Perhaps I am alone in believing that public nose picking is inconsiderate. Think of the yummy germs left on the nose pickers’ fingers that touch the door handles, keyboards, phones, and every other shared surface in your office and you might start to agree with me.

    If you are a nose picker, for the health of yourself and those around you, there are other ways to dispose of the crunchy mucus gems that bother you. You can go to your nearest restroom and blow your nose with a tissue. I understand that sometimes stubborn snot deposits are difficult to blow out, so if you must force your finger up your nose, at least cover it with a tissue first. However, no matter what, it is imperative to wash your hands with soap and water after you are done removing the offending debris from your nasal area.

      but one problem. sometime if the stubbron snot bother you its difficult to find a restroom around you. therefore i really appreciate that in england law push all of citizen to lend restroom to strangers if they need. is that true? all english here?

    of course you can meet a lot of decent behave Chinese people. the questions i answer means poor conditions is one of the reason, doesnt mean have to. family education is also one of the reason.
    i am sure in the future there are more and more decent behave young people than their old generation.

    for sure, it is very disgusting to pick the nose in the public or even in someone’s private place, but it is unfair to say that’s the typical chinese, i assume who wants to say this needs to think and speak out carefully. honestly, I know many foreigners and found out they also have many bad habit, lol.

    The very first Chinese girl I ALMOST dated…”almost” is explained here…spoke English pretty well, but was unclear about some words. So during a “how do you say this” session, she gets this look on her face and says “how do you say this??” and rips the most disgusting fart I had ever heard. Maybe the disgusting factor was amplified by how adorable she was prior to said event…but still. “First of all, that’s called ‘a fart’ or ‘farting’ as in ‘stop farting. it’s disgusting’, second of all…that’s sick”. I know it seems a little shallow, as we all fart…but I was afraid that this deliberate soiling (no pun intended) of my ideas that cute girls don’t fart was a little bit too much to handle.

    Of course, I hadn’t been there for too long…and after three and a half years of compromise and getting use to the hell that is the lack of manners in expelling bodily fluids and gas in China…it doesn’t effect me TOO much. Just as long as it isn’t a malatong fart. My god.
