Today when I got online, I got a message from my husband.  He said “Today, Beijing is dying hair yellow for free”.  I had no idea what he was up to.  It turns out it was the sandstorm.  I laughed my ass off.

Looks like people have been lazy with the anti-desert and greenification projects~~~

xinfeng11a:

砖头到:

A thousand years from now, Beijing will become a part of the Gobi.

猫小舞:

I originally moved from Beijing to Chengdu because of the sandstorms. And now this year Chengdu also has sandstorms … cups!

  1. FUCK ALL THIS IGNORANT IMMATURE “SHAFA” BULLSHIT

sorry, just had to get it off my chest…

  2. Why bother with BMWs in this town? A good Bactrian camel will only set you back a couple thousand.

  3. > Very yellow, very violent. chinaSMACK personals.

    Ha ha, genius.

  4. Now, the Chinese girls don’t need to get their hair colored, save some RMB for BMW.

Why is my pic not showing up?

  5. Beijing has a yellow sandstorm and no asians to be seen anywhere, that’s a first.

  6. You get sandstorm in the name of development.

  7. I really don’t envy poor Beijing girls.

  8. The Sand People are easily startled but they’ll soon be back, and in greater numbers.

  9. How many digital camera have been destroyed by the sand… I could never imagine cycling in that kind of storm, the gears would get eaten down quite quickly!

  10. sandstorm even got to Taiwan last week…

  11. A thousand years? LOL. The Gobi is what, 250 km from Beijing and the Gobi grows at 15 km a year. In the 17th year, the Gobi will reach Beijing.

    Also,

“I’m in Beijing. The sky is yellow. Is this a sign of 2012?”

Somehow, I don’t think it is.

  12. Brother River Crab… err… I mean, Obiewan, I do concur. We’ve got to get out of here before the Sand People return.

  13. This is another reason why Northern Chinese should not get eyelid surgery.

  14. fuck China and its government

  15. Hurray…
China is getting its just desserts! (environmentally)

don’t care if china is the strongest nation in the world if there is no fresh water to drink :)

  16. China is on a volcano now that is going to break any time. The land, the people in China are both suffering physically and psycologically:
*In YUnman all the trees are taken out to make papers and now there is severe draught. People have to escape their land to survive
*In Hubei the big lake is are buried to build apartments in spite of all the protest
*In many parts of CHina people are kicked out of their own house for a tiny amount of compensation, so [some company]can demolish their house and build new ones and then sell it for 10 or 100 times of price. But people can not do anything coz the land has been sold by government to the real estate company (but we can not really tell the difference of the two anyway)

Earthquake, snowstorm, sandstorm, draught, flood, what else? (Nespresso)

No wonder some people say CHina is a ********. What happens here is really terrible!!!

  17. There are nice cities in the desert, like Dubai and Novosibirsk.

  18. thank god I got out of Beijing in October before these storms. It is still incredibly dusty in that city at the best of times. Most of the dust is probably from overgrazing and deforestation in and around the Gobi dessert and western China. Enjoyed my first illness free winter in a long time.

  19. You people fail to realise that some of these problems are of nature cause. If you want to blame everything on Government then go blame US for their recent flooding and disasters and Austrailian government for their drought and so on……………..

maybe US did more environmental damage 50 years back when they were developing then all of the developing countries now.

bunch of naive people that just want to get any chance they have to point their devil finger at chinese government!

  20. How well you keep track of that mb?

  21. I demand death for her who yellow China’s hair.

  22. I die my hair red this very day. Think Sylvie. I rise with my red hair. And I eat men like air.

  23. I live in Beijing. The sky was only yellow for two mornings, satruday adn monday.

  24. It's not so good to use a too long cyber name

    Maybe it’s US weather weapon.

  25. You have not seem the sandstorm in Saudi Arabia. I was on the street waiting for the taxi for about 5 minutes. I have a table spoon full of sand in my shirt pocket.

  26. Is it me or is the girls in the first photo kinda of hot?

  27. Beautiful photos. Interesting to mother nature.

  28. i still like beijing

  29. WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING TO

  30. All ye who listen. And it was good. And you did. We rejoiced and all was good. And He said “put your thumb in your ass”. And we did. And He was happy and we knocked one out. Hallelujah.

    Amen.

  31. Over 90% of the pollution in China is generated by manufacturing that was outsourced from US businesses.

Biatch all you want, but you’re obviously too weak to walk the walk.
