Lmao, i found it amusing how many people are afraid of something that could just happen to anyone, at least they didn’t get sting to death or anything.

So stop over reacting for whatever little abnormal thing is posted

Such skill. It’s amazing how the one dude beat the other dude with a few kilograms more bees landing on ‘em. I wish I was able to stand still and wait.

This idolation for Bruce Lee has gone too far: this is simply an outrageously cheap way to copy his yellow-and-black suit from “Game of Death”.

Wow, nice poll. Currently 12 people have clicked on the image of the person covered in bees to view the article, read the article whilst viewing all the images and then claimed they have an intense fear of such images. Retards.

    • http://candosino.wordpress.com terroir

Millions of people watched “Friday” just so they can say they hate Rebecca Black.
Millions of people can’t be wrong.

      • Jim

“Millions of people can’t be wrong.” ???

        Ummm… religion.

        • http://candosino.wordpress.com terroir

Dude, God/s doesn’t exist because millions of other believe in God/s, God/s exist because you believe.

Moving along here, the ”Friday” example was brought up because sometimes people click/watch things not because they like it/aren’t afraid of it.

But now look where we are! Any time I bring up Rebecca Black, I always provoke a backlash against the existence of God/s! I can’t take anymore of this! TGI… oh noes, et tu, Thursday!?

If you Google Trypophobia, I don’t think its actually the right term for the fear being discussed here. Trypophobia is about holes in the skin. This is more like being covered with bugs or seeing a lot of bugs crawling all over the place. However, I checked for definitions of the original Chinese term they used in the article and it does reference “Trypophobia” so I don’t know. Anyway, holes in the skin are definitely not cool. Google and see if the images bother you.

I saw a lot of lotus fruit, which didn’t disturb me, I have eaten hundreds of their kind and have suffered no reprisals at their hands. I also saw some photoshops that made me feel really itchy.

Actually, I’ve had dreams about such things, usually abscesses deep in the skin where small, round stones come out when they are pried. I suspect that the people making the photoshops have such dreams too, the human subconsciousness is surprisingly similar from person to person. To me, they have never been something of horror, more of a sensation of cleansing and purity as I prize out these foreign lumps, leaving only a small hole and an empty cyst, which will heal, leaving me stronger than I was with these things unknown inside my skin.

      • Tengu

        Apiphobia or Melissophobia….

  • lonetrey

Eww. Well, I personally wouldn’t mind sitting there watching… as long as I was behind an inch of glass between me and the bees. I think that would be justified, no?

And perhaps flamethrowers should something go wrong.

    • http://candosino.wordpress.com terroir

As you’re sitting there watching, have a sifter of brandy to pass the time and a barbeque lighter with which to blow brandified-fireballs at any erant bees. If any bees are going to die, why not have our little honey-combers go out like a candy flambee?

Also, I’m surprised no one has said it yet:

    HALP! I’M COVERED IN BEES!

  • Foreign Devil

I used to keep bees with my brother when we were younger. But I started getting more and more reaction to their stings (increased swelling) so I had to quit. My brother would go as far as not wearing gloves. . but not me! However some beekeepers would actually go shirtless on a hot day. . usually getting a few stings in the process. However if you open a hive on an overcast or stormy day you will be in for a shitstorm of stinging bees.

    • anon

Since you seem to have some knowledge about the subject, how exactly are these guys getting the bees to land on them anyway?

      • Foreign Devil

It looks like a bee swarm. . . what happens when bees abandon their hive en masse to find a new home. Basically wherever you put the queen bee the whole hive will follow and swarm around her to protect her. So probably they have captured swarms and attached the queen bee to these guys so all the hive will stay close to her. If the queen bee dies and the hive has not raised any new queen cells, the entire hive can die if a new queen is not found quickly.

  • Ptah

Honey bees are actually pretty mellow, as long as you don’t make them feel threatened. They die after they sting you, so they like to avoid it if possible. Stinging wasps are nasty tempered and can usually sting more than once, so those are the ones to avoid.
Sometimes I’ll put a tiny bit of honey on my finger outside, and a honey bee will fly up and eat it, then fly off. I’ve never been stung. My grandmother used to pet bumble bees. Not sure I’d ever be that brave.
