2011 Japan Tohoku Earthquake, Chinese Netizen Reactions

Smoke rises from a fire in Tokyo.

Note from Fauna: A magnitude 8.9 earthquake hit northern Japan this afternoon at 2:46 pm, the largest earthquake in Japanese history. A tsunami followed, causing major flooding in many areas of Japan, as well as many strong aftershocks. The death toll so far is in the hundreds. When news of this disaster reached China, many Chinese netizens expressed condolences and their support for Japan and the Japanese, remembering that Japan eagerly helped the Chinese during China’s 2008 Sichuan Earthquake. At the same time, many others celebrated Japan’s misfortune, citing their grievances from past history.

Below is a collection of photographs of Japan following the earthquake and tsunami and a selection of Chinese netizen comments on popular Chinese online video sharing website Tudou translated into English:

I’m so happy

关内帅哥:

The entire world will look at the reaction of Chinese people, can you please not make us lose face? Don’t forget that only yesterday Yunnan had an earthquake, do you want to completely lose face for Chinese people?

gf:

I don’t want to be like the mental retards on 2chan Futaba channel. The Japanese government has its faults, but the people are innocent. I hope they can recover quickly just like China.

血的诅咒:

I won’t say anything other than 2012 is almost upon us. Everyone quickly do some good deeds, so at the least after dying you will be able to enter heaven, instead of dying and going to hell, its not worth it.

fsy1987:

First, I hope there isn’t too much damage. Second, I really regret seeing some people taking pleasure from this disaster. Third, the Japanese are surprisingly calm and orderly when facing an earthquake. I saw photographs on Sina of people coming out of the subway station, and they were still lining up. Fourth, one must learn common earthquake knowledge, to be prepared. Fifth, treasure every minute every second of life.

潘小腊:

Yeah, if there’s a quake so be it. I hope in the next few years earthquakes will have a new impact on scientific development. Bringing even more new discoveries!

楼猪缺心眼:

Japanese people are so blessed!!!

天空白云的彼端:

Good!! Excellent…

Our compatriots will get better, and have already gotten stronger. But history will never be forgotten! This is where we and the Japanese are different, we can separate who is right and who is wrong, we won’t lump them together. However, the more we post this kind of stuff the more we will remember Japanese fascists cruelly murdering thousands upon thousands of Chinese compatriots!

土豆小工:

I wish the best to every single kind-hearted Japanese citizen, but I like to watch the ugly behaviour of Japanese politicians (may those beasts quickly die off).

皎月·孤影:

The people of Sichuan send their congratulations!

The era of resisting the Japanese has already passed. Stop gloating at others’ misfortunes. No matter what, the Japanese are also people!!

noname11: (responding to 天空白云的彼端)

What’s wrong with you?

zfw09:

One earthquake allows us to clearly see the problem:
First, we should wish the best for the Japanese people! Second, we should learn from the Japanese government, for being able to organize and train the Japanese people to be so cool-headed and well-trained. Third, reflect upon Chinese people’s foolish conceit and despicable narrow-mindedness.

自然免疫:

@ PhoenixTV’s chief reporter Li Miao in Japan: During the Wenchuan Earthquake [Sichuan Earthquake], many Japanese ordinary common people organized donations on the streets, while restaurants, 24-hour convenience stories, and many other places all had donation boxes. Japanese rescue teams deployed at the earliest time possible (waiting for the “yes” from the Chinese side), waiting an entire night for orders at Narita Airport; Apart from the government, various political parties also did what they could, the Liberal Democratic Party chartered planes to deliver supplies to Chengdu, and as the only Chinese journalist in the same industry, I can confirm this.

多库洛:

I want to ask, those who are cursing [saying bad things against the Japanese], have you guys experienced a major earthquake before? If you have, I suggest you go to Japan right now and experience it before coming back and cursing them! No matter what Japan [did, these] are still ordinary common people! The ordinary common people are innocent, despise the Japanese warmongers.

19921119zx: (responding to above)

Innocent?? Are you sure you are saying this word? You say innocent, then how innocent were the hundreds and thousands of people that were killed by Japanese? And you don’t allow people to gloat at others’ misfortune, that’s so funny, truly so funny. I just know a life for a life, retribution paid in kind.

耶路撒冷的猫:

I won’t say too much, but did the Japanese government donate money during the Wenchuan and Yushu earthquakes? How many Japanese people donated money? Apart from Teacher Sora Aoi who donated a little…weren’t the other Japanese also looking and laughing at Chinese people…?

马甲No.1:

Those Chinese students studying abroad in Japan and those overseas Chinese living there, I just don’t know what to say now, it seems a lot of people here wish you were all dead.

well the article tells everything, I have got 6 Chinese friends studying with me here in Finland . Today i got a huge sock . story goes… there were redcross people at the school they were telling us what happened in japan and how people can help in a different ways .all the students agreed to help but I saw those chinese were talking something on their own language while the teacher and redcross people were still there.I later realized that actually they were talking about not to help physically or financially, they didnt sign up for redcross program for Japan , they didnt donate any money ….strange, later I asked to this chinese gal why not ? she said clearly she doesnt like to help japanese and she will never help because of the history . I was so socked how human can think other human in such way unfortunately i dont have answer . after all this I came home and try to search about china and japan things and found this site .I am not against any chinese or any human jus writing here how i felt today . one more interesting thing all 6 chinese are quite educated ,
one is former lawyer one is economist others have bachelor degrees and migrated here in finland.

Online polls have shown that 90% of Chinese say they support Japan.

But there is probably a lot of ignorant people out there.

Well, from personal experience though some of these Chinese international students can be pretty nationalistic on things like Taiwan…

Fuck I don’t like it… oh well. I think it’s all fucked to begin with. I’m leaving this site. Confusing ass website.

Im from Brazil and I just saw this news from a famous website here. I did my phd in Japan and at that time I had many chinese and korean fellows also granted with scholarships paid by the Japan government. About half or one 3rd of the classmates in international classes were chinese and korean.
I never saw any episode of prejudice among chinese and korean from the japanese, actually, they always were extremally educated, polite and friendly with any foreingers at least in the University.
I dated a korean girl so I kind of understand the feelings towards Japan, coz they learning the tragic history since they were small, but hey you should move on.
This generation and the next one have nothing to what happened in the past.
And the greatness of a people come with compassion not with cheap revenge. If you look to the human history, you will see many kind of wars throught the history, Roman Empire, Alexandre the Great, Catholic church, Nazism, US but we must be the generation that will do different, not promoting revenge or anger but peace and love. And last but no least, you are ruining the chinese image worldwide. The reaction in Brazil for this news was that chinese are not human being. I still have chinese friends and some of them are studying or working in Japan and I know that this dont reflect their thoughts. So think how chinese people want to be recognize in the future.

Most of the online hatred of Japanese victims are coming from Chinese, not S.Koreans. Actually, S.Koreans are overwhelmingly sympathetic towards the Japanese earthquake victims. S.Korea will also send its biggest aid package ever, both private donations and government donations to Japan. Dozens of Korean pop stars have called for donations and donated tons of money for the relief effort. S.Korean newspapers are full of stories of Japanese bravery in the face of adversity. There are many editorials urging Koreans to leave behind bad feelings toward Japan, and help out. Donations are flooding in, as people are lining up to donate whatever they got. There were couple of remarks by some Christian preachers who said it was punishment from god, but they were booed and drowned out.
The Korean government is doing all it can to help out materially as well as morally. They have sent 120 rescue people, first to arrive in Japan. They also redirected LNG to help out the shortages in Japan after the nuclear blast. They also said yes after Japan asked Korea’s help in providing nuclear coolants which Japan is in dire needs. President Lee Myung Bak has gone on TV to say we must help out Japan at her most need. There were some articles in Korea that says this incident will forge a new relationship of trust and cooperation between the two countries.

On the other hand, I see the Chinese poll which says 65% of Chinese think that the earthquake in Japan is a good thing. That’s really sickening in my opinion.

“The reaction in Brazil for this news was that chinese are not human being. ”

My reaction to this is that Brazil must be full of idiots who listen to any bullshit anti-Chinese propaganda from the West.

      • 0311

        So your from Brazil?

      • Diogo

Full of idiots as much as in China. And your moron, there is no anti-Chinese propaganda cut this crap out. There was a link to this page saying that there are mixed reviews. And the first comment on this page is Coz is Japan im happy, dont you know how to read?

  • http://procon-8.deviantart.com coconut

Is it sad that I expected these reactions from half of the Chinese posters?
Or am I just really negative.
I wish the Japanese a swift recovery, and pray for those who lost their loved ones, or had their own lives ended so soon.

  • Chris

Ha Lets piss off a little more those morons of nationalists who are against everything, and say someting positive : How to help Japan people who actually need NOW !

Google ( again ) did some positive initiative : a special page to help people recovering from the quake:

Isn’t it awesome how a few Chinese people happen to be insensitive and everyone starts bashing China and saying how chinese people suck etc etc etc, while the people who give examples of how people around the world also are insensitive about others’ misfortunes (japanese on sichuan earthquake, americans on japanese and chinese earthquake), yet these same people make excuses for the japanese and american haters?

    hypocritical idiots.

When the 2008 Earthquake in China happened, Lots of people from around the world helped China, including Japan. Japan had help China on many levels, throughout the 2nd half of the 20th Century and into the 21st Century, with donations, economic aids, etc. China had received many help from Japan alone. Yet Here we are, seeing some Chinese not only being ungrateful, but yet happy about Japan’s misfortunes. How SHAMEFUL!
I know that not all Chinese are like them, so to Those who are happy about Japan’s misfortune, can you really be called a human? Do you have no dignity? Not even deserved to be called humans.

Japan had helped many nations via donations, financial aids, food, medicine, everything it can to help those from around the world. During this crisis, many of those nations came to Japan’s aid, including your own countrymen. China sent a team to help in search-and-rescue.

    • L

seeing some Chinese not only being ungrateful, but yet happy about Japan’s misfortunes. How SHAMEFUL!

      I totally agree with you!

    • Kong

So you are comparing the actions of the Japanese COUNTRY with the actions of a percentage of China’s CITIZENS. 1) you are a bigot and/or 2) you are an idiot and/or 3) you get off on saying stupid things (AKA a troll) for shock value.

China promised 4.something million dollars in aid to Japan. Come off it.

      • L

Some Chinese are bigots & idiots and they also are heartless & cruel should be cursed.

        • Kong

My post was in response to Roger, but since you “totally agree” with what he wrote, it also applies to you.

Some *people* are bigots and idiots. Chinese are not the only ones. To single out Chinese people is bigoted.

          • L

Some Chinese are bigots & idiots and they also are heartless & cruel should be cursed.
            You’re the one- stupid!

      • me

The Chinese government has donated over $4million in aid and a majority of Chinese are sympathetic and have made donations to the Japanese victims. Yet this forum focuses on the smaller percentage of those with small minds gloating about the disaster,
who are no less despicable than westerners who did the same after the 2008 quake.

  • Chef Rocco

I really admire the 50 and later additional 130 unclear plant workers who are risking their lives staying to fight the leakage. They are real heros. If they die from radiation, their ash should be sent to Yasukuni
Shrine for worship, replacing those enshrined kami of first-class war criminals still kept there for worship…

  • Lisa

You have no right to speak aboout innocent people in that way. Are you so sure that your own country has never done anything wrong? The chinese hurt their own people more often and a whole lot more than what happened in the 30′s and 40′s!
Who caused the cultural revolution? The Japanese didn’t do that to you. Plus, I can happily point out that this is one of the reasons foreigners have a hard time being with Chinese people. You have no compassion. The British do not wish death on all Germans. That would be stupid and ignorant. I wish that Hitler could come back and die a thousand deaths, but not the children of the nation. Japan helped China during the earthquake in Sichuan. I would have thought that as a country that had suffered as much loss and devastation as that would be the first nation to truely understand the way the people of Japan must be suffering.
No one on the planet deserves to go through that. No one.
And for those of you who are cheering the deaths of those thousands of families and Children, maybe when you have a child of your own, imagine how you would feel if it were YOUR child!
You think it’s smart to sit there and type your nasty little comments online. When actually you are proving how small your brain actually is. You can’t think outside of what you were taught to think. “Japan is bad” “you must hate Japan” “All Japanese deserve to die” But you have no problem using their technology or taking their artwork or wearing their clothes.
Use your own head for once and consider that if a member of your family had been there, how would you feel??
If that isn’t enough and you still want to hate, then hate the Germans and the British and the french and the Spanish, all of whom have done awful things to China in it’s history and NEVER apologised for it either.
Case and point Hong Kong! Duh! Britain owned it for how long?? Why don’t you hate the British?!?!

    • jiang

whether the chinese hurt their own ppl or whether they hate the govt doesnt change the fact the chinese people WISH to hate on the japs. it’s their WISH to hate yanks if wanted, whiteys, japs et, maozedong. no one forces them. even overseas chinese dont think highly of japs (like mainlanders)

it’s not up to foreigners to tell chinese which to hate more. most young people these days do not WISH to care about maozedong. that’s the past AS well or tianmen incident etc. that usually comes from outsiders. the dislike for japs come from the chinese people themselves. it’t their choice. if u understand my meaning

Thank you Lisa and those who like Lisa having thoughtful comments .
    I am Vietnamese Canadian .
I and all Vietnamese pray for the Japanese . We love the Japanese . They are good people . Nowadays , They help our country and other countries a lot and contribute a great deal to world charities and activities . They are fair , respect justice & law , no corruption , no showing arrogance , no threatening and trying to control the other countries .
This is opposite completely to big China , who always cause troubles and do cruel things in order to get control the other countries , and not much contribute to world as a big country should do .
all bad mouths of the Chinese ( unfortunately, it can be a lot ) who blame the Japanese for wrongdoing in the past and say karma to the Japanese should shut up .
Remember NO CHINESE SHOULD BLAME THE JAPANESE AND THE CHINESE DO NOT DESERVE AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO BLAME JAPAN , BECAUSE YOUR COUNTRY AND YOUR PEOPLE DID AND HAVE DONE SO MANY CRUEL & INHUMAN THINGS TO THE OTHER COUNTRIES AND PEOPLE, AND STILL IGNORE AND DENY THAT . SO , STOP YOUR CHINESE UNREASONABLE AND CRAZY PATRIOTISM , TO LISTEN TO , TO FEEL WITH HEARTS THIS WORLD , TO UNDERSTAND AND LOVE THE OTHER PEOPLE TOO AND TO BRING PEACE TO THE WORLD LIKE THE JAPANESE NOWADAYS TRYING TO DO . STOP TRYING INVADING , INTERFERRING , EXPLOITING , SUPPRESSING THE OTHER COUNTRIES JUST FOR YOUR COUNTRY’ S BENEFITS , STOP SPREADING POISONOUR AND HARMFUL ITERM OVER OVER THE WORLD , STOP DISPOSING WASTE CARELESSLY , STOP DESTROYING FREEDOM & DEMOCRACY ….
and any way , if use your brain , will see millions & millions of Chinese died from crazy , cruel regime of communism and much more people died from diseases , disasters…and live in very poor conditions , and now become richer after open door to receive capitalism , but the whole society and country become more and more losing morality .
No innocent people should receive Karma , but if talking about Karma , you can see who is receiving Karma , It is your Chinese .( some of my ideas got from some friends in web , thank you )
PRAY FOR THE JAPANESE AND JAPAN AND WISH THE BEST TO JAPAN .

I have only two comments after so much seemed to have already been said…. not unrelated

First of all, Everything equal, it is easier to befriend someone rich( that someone is not a Chinese, its probably Japanese)
Americans and rest of the world like Japanese better because of envy for their electronics and cars.

secondly, some Chinese peoples hating comments toward Japan s incident stirred such long debate or discussion. But if you really look, only 3 0ut of 10 is hating attitude, the rest of them still show compassion and good will. 3 is a big number but still minority why should it represent all Chinese?

What do you expect from the troll at 2ch…It’s just the same as what do you expect from the troll in China.

I’ve been hanging out in Japan and China’s internet for a long time, I went to both countries before also. Internet wise, both country gives me that “半斤八两” feelings to me, both-side trolls act just the same in the virtual world, whoever gets serious debate over those comments you just got professional trolled really bad.

There’s several Japanese TV shows are about debating China social issues, the worst part, broadcasting studio actually invite/bring exchange student that can’t speak Japanese fluently to debate with professional, and the result is pretty certain.

As for this, I don’t want to mention any name of the country or bring nationalism pride whenever a place is involved with disaster, that will just keep bringing up superiority complex over another, fighting disaster is somewhat a thing that all humanities should be doing together, without dividing ourself with nation, culture and any sort of differences.

      お疲れ様でした。
Thanks for doing much of the work for me. Although, it might have been better if you had used link from more reputable sources, such as Channel Sakura or Sankei Shimbun. THIS is the true face of Japan, not whatever bullshit other people are saying. Japanese have wanted to exterminate the Chinese since the Meiji era, and to this day, those feelings have never changed. It’s really not surprising to understand why the war criminals wanted to kill off all chinese; you can clearly see their scorn even in today’s generations. Hell, Channel Sakura has fans and worshipers from as young as middle schoolers.

It’s funny how none of the weaboos are now jumping up and done to defend Japan when people present REAL evidence of Japan’s ugly side. Keep masturbating to Hello Kitty and think that Japan is such a cute and generous country, morons.

      • dim mak

lol you really got this ingrained in you

This is the face of 2ch, not Japan. I was browsing through 2ch’s news boards at the time of the 08 quakes, it is nothing surprising. Unfortunately it’s also the exact same thing you’d find on qiangguo or tiexue or even just mop right now, but you wouldn’t characterize that as the true face of China right? Neither would I.

I’m pretty sure you know Channel Sakura is hardly mainstream news, and afaik most Japanese see Sankei as too liberal, at worst brutally honest like most finance-based news are. Instead of frequenting nationalist hovels you gotta meet some living people man, live in the real world etc. I mean why keep imaging they’re the worst enemy ever if they’re not? It’s a waste of time

  • jiang

lol at least the chinese has reason to say ‘karma’ regarding the japs. the yanks/aussies who talks about pearl harbour/whale dolphin massacre at least atomic bombed those japs whereas chinese were the only ones that didnt get revenge. so it’s a balance out thing, no revenge/no apologising from japs, this 8/10 karma comments from chinese will continue till like year 5000. people just need to suck it up as a consequence.

there are plenty of ppl who wrote bad thing about sichuan (which isnt even in beijing or majority han chinese ethnic in the first place, tibetan and qiang irONIcALY lmao) coming from japs/whiteys

    • Hoa H. Nguyen

it is such ridiculous and unhappy that after many comments , no learning and regretting attitude .
      - until when , you will understand that no Chinese should hate or say Karma to Japanese when Chinese have been done worse things to the other people of other countries . All of you seem still ignore and deny and do not care and think about that .
      - for what you wrote ” plenty of people who wrote bad thing about sichuan … coming from Japs/whiteys ?????
      BRAINWASHED , PREJUDICED , ABNORMAL ???
INSTEAD OF BE ASHAMED AND REGRETTED FOR ANY THING WRONG OR NOT DOING GOOD ENOUGH , THEN TURN TO DEFENSING AND SELF ADMIRING .
IF DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CRITIZE OURSELVES AND REGRETTED ABOUT OUR MISTAKES BEFORE BLAMING THE OTHERS , HOW CAN WE KEEP FAIRNESS , JUSTICE , KINDNESS AND CONSCIENCE.

    • B-Real

One thing it has nothing to do with Karma. It was just the right time. But the hate from anybody would blame it on any super stition and still hate them after the fact.

Sichuan was a direct result of nature testing your nations weak supervisory over building codes that were well established over 50 years ago. The usual defense of china is or was a poor nation at the time they were built, then they had no business building them and will never fly especially when the gov are responsible for everything that happens in it borders. Any one could tell this was corruption, cheating and every other negatory word associated with what happens in China.

As for getting revenge on Japan during the time of war again a chinese problem. You were weak then and as long you depend on US currency to build your millitary you are weak now and forever will be. The Chinese and everyone else needs to take responsibility for the safety of their own nation’s security failures.

Japs opologised over and over with a few instance of denial but you refuse to hear or accept it blinded by hate and hope to hit them back when confident strong enough. Also a chinese problem.

      • Kong

Why is it a “chinese problem” and not a western problem? Everything China has done has been a reaction to the West. Who told the world that countries need to be judged by military power and GDP? Who thought that globalization was a good idea? The fault lies with everyone, not only Chinese people. Don’t they have the right to be mad with what Japan and the West did and are still doing?

Who has the right to complain? The poor Westerners whose countries were built on the backs of Africans and Asians? How about the Japanese who tried to do the same thing? Every country has done terrible things to one people or another people.

If it’s not your problem, then it is nobody’s problem. If it is China’s problem, then it is everyone’s problem. Who are YOU to set the rules for what China is and is not allowed to do? you all want China to be more self-critical? How about listening to your own advice first.

        • Hoa H. Nguyen

          To Kong
You are such brainwashed, prejudiced and narrow minded person. You are using the general things to fight back any comment about your China. Be listen to people about your China negative aspects and wrong doing in order to correct.
          1) any country has mistakes and wrongdoings. Yes, but each event , people from the world will discuss and comment about that . This time is because the Chinese like you have been bring up the blames and bombed Japan with hatred and say Karma when the innocent Japanese are receiving disasters .
This behaviour and attitude are very bad , shocking the whole world and all people considered it as cruel and inhuman attitude ( except the inhuman Chinese )
So , they are giving the comments and you turned into saying the example of the Westerners using the black slaves long time ago . We wonder if many Chinese have the problems like you??
          2) B. Real brought up the story of Sichuan earthquake with around 70,000 deaths. And majority of deaths in Sichuan are from the buildings built carelessly due to people and corruption. So, feel angry to the government and those bad Chinese and give your voice , rather than dare not say anything , but shouting loudly in the event of Japanese disaster. B.Real just reminded all of you about that problme : the problem of dare not fighting back with the government and your bad people. It seem serious and deep problems of Chinese people , especially from mainland China
          2) regarding the world war II and Japanese invasions . Yes , Germany and Japan were wrong , but B . Real would like to emphasize that there were alot of problems at that time from your previous government to make your country very very weak but still close the doors to outsider’s trading . Then your country again made itself so miserable with more than 45 millions of deaths and miilions live so miserabley under Mao regime and communism , up to delay all civilization and update human rights and many things ….It is not due to Japanese invasion , it has been due to your country to make your country like that after war .
So , when B. Real used the word ” problem ” , he does not mean to criticize that there are all ” bad things or crimes ” . He just meant to show that there are things your country and your people should correct and repair , and the most important thing is to learn to accept weakness and improve , rather than ignore and deny the weakness or wrongdoing , but always keep the hatred so much that even enjoy or indifferent with the disaster to innocent Japanese . No way for any one in this world and with all good Chinese to accept that cruel and inhuman attitude . Because of those bad Chinese provoked the good hearts from people all over the world , so we are reacting. IF you really love and respect you country , your bad Chinese should stop do or say inhuman things towards innocent Japanese. or else people in the world will lose love and respect to your Chinese ( maybe bad Chinese do not care about love and respect toward China , they are only in dreams of China control the world with military power and economy).
          3) B. real reminded to all Chinese that Japan in fact , apologised about their wrong invasion into your countries , eventhough there is some denial because they said they did not do that much bad . But , at least your Chinese have to accept that part of apology , and all things Japan helped your country a lot ( helped China build alot alot of things , and in Sichuan earthquake Japan helped a great deal) .
So , B. Real would like to remind all bad Chinese that when you receive something , you have to thank and owe that , it does not matter what you think inside ( you can think wrongly and crazily , but if you show that , people in this world feel look down on you ) . So , learn how to improve and become good person and human attitude.
Be aware of ‘ Chinese problem ” to correct . Yes , all countries have ” country problem ” , but when you are the first person to bring up the problem of blaming the Japanese , and the others bring up your problems just in order to remind your bad Chinese about your problems needed to be improved , rather that blaming people . Then your turn to get mad again and again . What a shock !

          • Kong

I am well aware of the problems that China faces. Are you aware of the problems Vietnam faces? How about the problems the USA faces?

I am not Chinese and I have never defended the Chinese who have decided to hate on Japan. In fact, I have never said bad things about Japan either. I love Japan and China and I have very good friends in both countries.

            1) Why should I listen to you? Do you think I do not know about the problems that exist? DO you think you are better and more intelligent than I am?

            2) You call Chinese “inhuman”. That is a hateful and untrue thing. Do they not feel pain? Do they not work hard to feed their families? Do they not also die?

            3) The reason why the West is so grand is because of the resources they took and slaves they brought from Africa. Should anyone forget about that? Japan tried do to the same thing in Asia. Should anyone forget that? China also has tried to do the same thing. Should anyone forget that? Every country has things to think about. Why do you care so much about another country instead of thinking about your own country’s history?

            4) If you have a “right” to complain about China, then China has the right to complain about you. If you disagree, then you obviously think you are better than everyone else.

            5) Do you blame all of Chinese people for the things that its government did? Do you blame all the Chinese people for the things that only a few people said on the internet? That is racism, and it is hateful.

            6) China has been under the influence of other countries ever since the Opium War in ____. China tried to make itself stronger so it would not be treated poorly by Japan and the West. Unfortunately, China failed. Many people were hurt. Many are still hurt. They did this because of Japan and because of the West. Of course they have responsibility, but so does everyone else. The world is not separate–it is interconnected.

            7) Why does China have to accept anything? Because you said so? Who do you think you are? Some powerful god? China is China is China, not your servant. You want to know why some Chinese do not accept the apology from Japan? Because Japan apologized to the Chinese government, but not the people. The Chinese government was not hurt by Japan; the PEOPLE were hurt by Japan. All the money and apologies that Japan gave went to China’s government, not the people who were hurt. Until Japan directly apologizes to the PEOPLE of China, some Chinese will not forgive.

            8) Some Japanese hated China during the Wenchuan Earthquake, now some Chinese hate Japan during the Sendai earthquake, so you say racist and hateful things to the Chinese, so I remind you that everyone has problems too, so you act racist and superior to me, so I reply to tell you what a dick you are. Why am I not allowed to express my feelings? Only you are allowed to? Do you have no problems? It is my responsibility, not your responsibility, to think about my problems. You are not any better.

Stop telling other people what to do and start thinking about yourself.

          • Kong

Why did my date not show up? It should say “…Opium War[s] in 1930s….” Well, I guess it doesn’t really matter.

        • L

I totally disagree with what you said. I hate to say that bad things happen in everywhere by disasters, if multiple disasters happen in China one day, I believe the bad Chinese will have a deeply understand that they are so cruel and inhuman attitude to attack innocent Japanese now. “Love” people instead of “hate” people is a big lesson to the all rude & cruel persons need to learn.

          • Kong

There are bad people everywhere, so why do all of you like to pick on Chinese? Chinese are normal people, just like everyone else. The Chinese government is not unique.

Why do you disagree? If you only want to “love”, then why do you think that the Chinese should be hated?

        • L

I said ” Love” people instead of “hate” people is a big lesson to the all rude & cruel persons need to learn” !
Where did I say: Chinese should be hated? Please read the comment carefully.
Why do I need to agree with you? I only agree with people who full of love and courteous. People should be cursed if they are happy to see other nation suffer in pain by disaster.

          • Kong

I do not think you need to agree with me. I just want to know why you disagree.

You say, “People should be cursed” and “if multiple disasters happen in China one day, I believe the bad Chinese will have a deeply understand that they are so cruel and inhuman attitude to attack innocent Japanese now.”

You obviously think that Chinese = bad and Japanese = good. If you call someone “bad”, then you are hating them. If you say they should be cursed, then you are hating them. There are bad Japanese and good Chinese too.

You think some Japanese have never hated the Chinese? Of course they have. How can you say that you “love” people when you call other people you do not know “inhuman”? Really? They are not human? They do not have feeling and live lives like normal humans? Who is the hateful one?

        • L

I don’t think it is worthy to reply any comment again to the person who has mental problems.

Again, people should be cursed if they are happy to see other nation suffer in pain by disaster, no matter he or she is Chinese or not!

          • Kong

In what way do I have mental problems? If you want to write hateful insults to me, that is your choice, but it would be nice if you could explain why.

Yes, curse the hateful japanese, the hateful chinese, the hateful americans, the hateful australians, the hateful…. Let everybody curse them without thinking about why they are so hateful.

  • Hoa H. Nguyen

    To Kong
this is the last time I write to you because you seem to have some mental problems or very poor to understand things . Then you wrote so many things irrelevant , inappropriate and unmatching to what the others wrote and you fought back to what you imagined that we are very difficult to discuss with you. We could not find out our contents and we almost got lost because we have no ideal about what you accused. So I try the last time .
I make a simple way for you to understand :
    - group A: refer to the Chinese who wrote first on many websites to blame the Japanese with hatred , to say karma or heaven punishment and even showed happy to Japan disaster. We called them THE BAD CHINESE .
    - group B : refer to those who ( mainly not Chinese ) feel uncomfortable and upset to group A.
some B1 just say gently that group A is wrong to say and feel like that , everyone should feel sorry and help innocent Japanese.
some B2 : stronger reactions , consider group A as bad and cruel persons , or even as inhuman people.
Group B also usually brought things to show the facts and evidences that China as a whole and many of its Chinese might do many things wrong too, and China also suffered a lot of disasters.
Group B purposes are just to make those bad Chinese goup A to understand that they should review their country and their people too , any country can make mistakes and they should not say/feel bad about innocent people . That is all.
But mr. Kong and some crazy people never want to read carefully anything above and do not accept the consequence cycle : group A caused group B reaction. Group B is not bring up anything about China if no bad comments from group A. Group B just wanted to talk mainly to those Chinese like group A. Group A should be blamed to cause anything, not group B.
He started shouting : why you said the Chinese are bad , why you prick on the Chinese , why you said the Chinese are inhuman , why so hateful and untrue ….etc ……..all over long paragraphs .
But, ridiculously , many of those accusations are not related to what the others said at all .
So, to all people in group B who never want to insult the Chinese and just wanted to give a voice to oppose group A- bad Chinese : no need to talk to Mr Kong again, he is into a cycle of complete mix up everything, and continuously blame us with many sentences and meaning he put on us and questioned us, but we have no idea to answer him.
I give up now. Who can deal with one brain like that, just continue.
Bye bye, thanks to those who give the voices to Japan. They deserve our respect and love, eventhough they made some mistakes and wrongdoings. We are never able to change those who are happy or say cruel things and heaven punishment to the Japanese. They never know how to look at themselves and they are not self – reflected and kind at all . Try to learn what is fairness, justice and conscience

    • Kong

If you do not understand what I wrote, just ask me and I will try to explain it in another way.

You are always talking about blame, and you choose to blame everyone but yourself. That seems rather childish. I am simply upset that so many people can easily blame all Chinese people for what only some people said, and not even care about why those Chinese think that.

Even worse, some people will say terrible things about Chinese people and then say that they only want “love”. What hypocritical bullshit.

You call me “brainwashed, prejudiced and narrow minded” and say that I am Chinese and that Chinese are inhuman. What mean thing have I said to you?

I wrote the same advice to you that you recommended for “the Chinese”. All you can do is whine and insult me and insult Chinese.

I can only assume that you are very young. I hope that when you grow up, you will understand that things are not so linear ’cause and effect’. The world is much more complicated than that, and if you want the world to stop hating each other, you need to start with yourself.

        To Kong
I tried to read some recent comments, but I could not find many things you accused the others in their comments.
        1) personally, Hoahongnguyen seemed frustrated with you and considered you as brainwashed , prejudiced , mental problem…it is not related to the matter if you are Chinese or not. If You are not Chinese, Hoahongnguyen still said the same.
        2) B.Real, L., Hoahongnguyen…did refer to those bad Chinese who had cruel attitude towards Japan disaster in their writings.
They were just trying to make the point that any country and its people could make mistakes and wrongdoings. Then they gave examples/ evidences or comments about China and it’s people did wrong in the past. However, all of their saying : inhuman, cruel…were just for the bad Chinese. Hoahongnguyen in her last paragraph even confirmed that she is just in group of people who reacted to the bad Chinese and hope that they can change their attitude , not to say generally to the whole Chinese. Infact, in some paragraphs, in order to make shorter, some writers wrote” the Chinese” but if reading the whole meaning and content, the readers easily understand that they were talking about the bad Chinese and the governments in certain times.
But all of your long paragraphs accused them about hating, insulting, being unfair, being pricking on the whole Chinese. So it is difficult for anyone to follow your comments because the comments were not relevant to what the others really wrote.
Here I posted some of what you wrote:
You call Chinese “inhuman”. That is a hateful and untrue thing. Do they not feel pain? Do they not work hard to feed their families? Do they not also die?
You obviously think that Chinese = bad and Japanese = good. If you call someone “bad”, then you are hating them. If you say they should be cursed, then you are hating them. There are bad Japanese and good Chinese too.
I am simply upset that so many people can easily blame all Chinese people for what only some people said, and not even care about why those Chinese think that.
Even worse, some people will say terrible things about Chinese people and then say that they only want “love”. What hypocritical bullshit.
I wrote the same advice to you that you recommended for “the Chinese”. All you can do is whine and insult me and insult Chinese………………
Hope that you finally understand. Or else, I have to agree with them that you have some mental problems because People explained very clearly their points and then I also have to give up on you.
        Thanks.

    To Kong again
I read some beginning comments . I found out that there was one Kong ( were you?) to write some thing quite fair about the Japanese.
There was one comment: Japan never offcially appologised to the Chinese.
But Kong fought back and said that : it was not true……
Reading that part made me feel that you had some fairness and understanding.
So, I hope this time you understood that many people such as L. , B Real , Hoahongnguyen …did not mean to hate, to insult, to criticize, or interfere to China and its Chinese things.
So, no need to fight back to them.
I guess that you may have good hearts and good motivation, but hopefully do not accuse the others in what they did not mean. They will feel very happy if you understood that they just want to criticize bad Chinese and also wanted to say that any country having wrongdoings.
    Thanks.

    • Kong

Hello, Mike. I will explain here, clearly what set me off.

“As for getting revenge on Japan during the time of war again a chinese problem. You were weak then and as long you depend on US currency to build your millitary you are weak now and forever will be. The Chinese and everyone else needs to take responsibility for the safety of their own nation’s security failures.”

B-Real squarely blames China for being raped by Japan. What a horrible thing to say. You blame someone for being weak and having its people murdered?

What about US money? All of Europe was built with US money. China? Absolutely not. China was built by Chinese with the help of the Russians. B-real is clearly old enough to understand how a market works, but still he says something as stupid as “China depends on US money”? What about Japan? How did they build themselves? Japan has been relying on the US for 50 years!

“Japs apologised over and over with a few instance of denial but you refuse to hear…. Also a chinese problem.”

How is that a “Chinese problem”? If person A kills your sister, then it is person A’s responsibility to apologize, not person B’s responsibility to forgive person A. Japan has never apologized to the Chinese PEOPLE; only to the Chinese government. So you can blame the government all you want, but the PEOPLE (the ones who are still hateful) are the ones who suffered.

      As for what “L” wrote:
L totally disagreed with me. Because L disagreed with me, I assumed he agreed with B-real. Therefore, I 1) asked why he disagreed and 2) the same things I told b-real.

      Regarding Hoa:
The assumption that I am Chinese is important because from that point, Hoa referred to Chinese as “my people”, and the entire thing made me feel disgusted. I have seen many of Hoa’s posts here, and they are are patronizing of Chinese people. Hoa may have said “bad Chinese” here, but the way Hoa talked to me and “Chinese people” was not something I could abide.

B-real did not reply, which is cool, but L and Hoa decided to reply to me. I have an equal right to recommend things to them, if they was to recommend things to “my people”. The world is not as simple as “good” and “bad” people. In the end, both of them ended up writing insults to me instead of being “loving” and “understanding”. Is there a reason I should treat such disrespectful people with a good attitude? Respect gives to respect.

I respect “Mike”‘s response because you seek understanding. However, their comments to not admit that China’s problems are related to other countries’ actions. This demonstrates a difference of opinion between them and me. This is why I reply.

      • david le

        To Kong
I think that now Mike agreed with the other people that you are really having something weird in your reasoning( I do not say something wrong with your heart) . Maybe I will be the last person to write to you. Here, I write some opinions and suggestions , If you think that they are nonsense, just throw out of your mind.
your example: B killed A’s sister, so A has the right not to forgive B. It is not a relevant and matching comparison.
1)many people are upset that many bad Chinese feel happy or talk ” heaven punishment ” to the Japanese disaster and do not want to help.
So, it is not about the topic of forgiveness or not for things in the past, but no one should do or say something cruel to innocent people who are suffering from disaster, and even we should try to help no matter what happened between two countries in the past.
        2) the problems between country to coutry are different topics. because any country might do bad and cruel things to the other countries ( for example, China have been very cruel to Vietnam, Tibet, Korea, Campuchia…) . So, any country and its people should review their attitude and wrongdoings too, and should not keep their hatred so much and so long that become to build up cruel attitude.
if keep like that, the whole world will become disordered and full of hatred.
Moreover, if some Chinese think they have the right not to forgive , which leading not to feel sorry or help the innocent Japaness, so they are free to do that. But for sure, people outside will feel gruesome and frustrated about that and we also have the right “to feel ‘ gruesome and frustrated “to those bad Chinese too and the right to oppose to them.
        3) Japan did apologize many times , eventhough they denied some parts. And Japan has helped China a lot,a lot, a lot. What you said: “They apologized to the government, not to the Chinese people” does not make sense.
        4) I, personally, do not see what is wrong to call those Chinese who enjoyed or said bad and do not want to help the Japanese as BAD CHINESE.
and I think that all writers you blamed have the ultimate purpose to make those bad Chinese understand deeply how wrong they are.
        5) If you want to fight back one point. Just say it directly.
Your last paragraph is having some improvement in this.
You blamed the other writers generally, such as “why you hate Chinese ………….” in long paragraphs , which made people confused.
So, maybe they might say something not clear or wrong ( with you). Then you just focused discussing directly to that point. Do not write all over like long lecture, just made people got lost and laughed.
And try not to find faults with words, try to focus on only some very important points to argue.
        Thanks.

        • Kong

Yes, I understand what you are saying. It is hard to focus on one point when there is so much that I see problematic with someone’s argument.

I know Mike was siding with those 3 other posters. I do not expect anyone to side with me. There aren’t only 2 sides anyway; there are many perspectives.

What I was attempting to point out was not that those 3 posters were wrong, but that their attitude was arrogant, simplistic, and sometimes hypocritical. Hoa criticized how “general” I was being at first, so I decided to be more specific.

As far the the example, you are right: it is simplistic, but not unrelated. Some of the Chinese posters generally feel that Japan has not been sincere about their mistakes. The only “hurt” that China has inflicted on Japanese is on their feelings. There are hurt feelings on both sides, however, and I do not think it is unreasonable to expect the side hurt the most (Chinese) to feel resentful. It was only 50 years ago. These things take time to change.

          1) no one is saying that those Chinese fenqing are right. I just want to point out that their feeling have a historical origin, and the origin is not 100% “made in China”.

          2) You are exactly right, but what I aimed to point out is that the people in Vietnam and Korea who curse China are no different than the Chinese that curse Japan. It is the same hatred.

          3) Perhaps it does not make sense to you, but it makes sense to me so allow me to explain. All apologies and aid that Japan gave to China went to the Chinese government. The Chinese government, was never hurt by Japan (in fact Mao even remarked that the Japanese helped the Communists win against the GMD). Japan heavily hurt local Chinese people—most of whom have never seen any kind of apology or reparations from Japan. Why? Because Japan gave it all to the Chinese government, who used it for other purposes. My point is that those Chinese people (if you ever go to Nanjing, you will know what I mean) have a pain and anger with no way to express it. They cannot blame their government (for obvious reasons), so they blame the other person who hurt them: Japan. If Japan REALLY wanted to try and settle things, it would send official envoys to local places in China where feelings are strong, and have them apologize directly to the people. I hope that was a little clearer.

          4) Those writers have more than one purpose. As I said, I did not challenge that the bad Chinese are bad. I challenged their arrogant attitude toward Chinese.

          5) This is where I disagree with you again. One cannot explain what is wrong without pointing out the specifics words the person uses. Words like “inhuman” have a pretty strong meaning.

          • david le

            To Kong
I decided to write to you again some opinions. This will be my last time, because I have no more opinions and I am busy working again after a few days off.
            1) it does not matter how much hatred from the Chinese towards the Japanese because of Japan invasion, almost no one will accept or justify at all for the attitude of those bad Chinese who are happy or say cruel things towards the innocent Japanese during disaster.
In fact, everyone understood the cause and the original of that hatred. Everyone understood that Japan was wrong and people understand the feelings of those Chinese who still can not forget and forgive that painful memories. However, those Chinese can use many other opportunities and other times to fight back or express the hatred to Japan than showing that during Japan disaster. So:
            - should not use the pain and hatred due to the past to justify or defend for any Chinese who showed bad attitude or words toward Japan disaster.
            - should not bring the topic of hatred to Japan during the time their innocent people are suffering from disaster.
            2) those Vietnamsese ( me too ) talked about the hatred in the long term between Vietnam and China , but different from what the bad Chinese were doing currently towards Japan disaster.
            a) China is still currently causing a lot of threatenings, invadings and damagings to our country and many Asian countries.
I will not go into this argument.
            b) However, most important, we bring up that topic of hatred just to make those bad Chinese also should look back to its country and its people, in order to understand that its people suffering in the past by Japan, but many other people also suffering a lot by China . We do not mean to emphasize on our hatred and our conflicts toward China in this website
            c) we bring up the topic during this time when the Chinese are not on any disaster. And we did not say Karma or heaven punishment at all to any Chinese disasters ( for example , Sichuan disaster) . We, in fact, tried to help the innocent Chinese ( many Vietnamese in Canada sent money to The Red cross to bring to China ). We do not express hatred or any bad words during Chinese disasters or miseries.
So, I agree that Vietnam and other small countries keep and show hatred to China, just the same China showed hatred to Japan so far. But, at least, we do not bring that up during any Chinese disasters. If I know any Vietnamese had that bad and cruel attitude ( yes, for sure there are ), I will criticize them right away no matter why or how they hate China. And if those bad Vietnamese said bad and cruel things to China during Chinese disasters, many writers will bomb them with all heavy comments and I will not feel sorry or need to defend for them at all ( I know many of my Vietnamese friends have the same opinion with me)
I am living in Toronto and working in one health care clinic which has a lot of Chinese patients. I care and love all of my patients the same, it does not matter they are Chinese or Vietnamese or others. Eventhough there are tension, conflict and hatred between 2 countries till now.
            3) I still keep my opinion. It is the same to apologize the current government and helping a lot to many other areas versus to the people in the most damaged area of the war . And I think that the Chinese should be aware and open minded to those appologies and helpings from Japan. However, maybe Japan should do more appologies and efforts to heal the Chinese wounds because they were wrong anyway.
4+5) About the other writers , I am sure that they have the ultimate purpose to write to the bad Chinese because they were quite upset like me. But I am not sure about the other purposes or not as you said because I, personally, do not see that. But I dare not say that you are wrong. However, here , I give some of my opinions from what I think when I read some comments.
            a) for B.Real: I think that he used the words ” Chinese problems”, did not mean that China and its people were wrong or had faults or did mistakes and Japan was not wrong.
I think that B. Real is the type of person who always review any of his weakness ( or problems ) before paying attention to the others wrongdoing. So, He did not say Japan was not wrong and he did not say China was wrong or China’s fault.
China at that time was just out of very much rotten+ stupid + narrow minded last dynasty, then went on complex internal wars. So, there were really a lot of problems and extreme weakness of China at that time, which made easy for the invasions of the other countries. It is obviously wrong of Japan and Germany as terrible faxicism, not of China as a victim.
So, I do not think that B.Real meant at all that China deserved to get that and its people had to get killed /raped because of their problems. You think that far , make people startled and disagreed. And you still insisted about the ideas you put on the other writers. However, remember that your thinking may not be right.
So, in my opinion, you may criticize the way he expressed ( the word ” Chinese problems ” seem some annoying and misleading to you and some people. But I do not agree what you think that far and deep to accuse him that much.
For US currency something like that, I am not sure about what he and you talked about, so I do not comment. But in Sichuan earthquake , I agreed with him that there were a lot of problems of China ( for example , much corruption) and need to improve.
I can feel how upset B.Real was towards the bad Chinese when he opened his first line of writing:” no thing to do with Karma”
            b) For Hoahongnguyen , I also can see her much upset towards the bad Chinese. First, it seemed that she thought that you are Chinese and the same group with the bad Chinese. So she wrote in one sentence ” to all Chinese like you ” . It meant that she thought that you were the same group of the bad Chinese and tried to cover for them. She did not mean” you are Chinese and all of you guys Chinese ” .
And furthermore, because she wrote quite a lot. So, in some sentences of arguing she just put” the Chinese “. However, if reading the whole things, we can see that she just meant to mention about ” the bad Chinese ” ( honestly, I made the same mistakes as her, hopefully no one found out and misunderstood).
Any way, I am not trying to say for them at all. I am just telling you about my feeling and thinking when reading their comments. However, there may be some other readers having the same your thinking.
Generally, I agreed with you that they used strong words. I did too sometimes when I am upset. I will think over about what you said and will try to be more careful.
But to tell the truth, I do not see them arrogant or looking down or hate and pricking on the Chinese generally.
( I and other Vietnamese talked about the hatred of Vietnam towards China (certain governments and policies), but we do not mean to hate the Chinese generally. In fact, most of Vietnamese have a lot of Chinese friends – even close friends- it is funny and nice in the relationship of our 2 countries).
Regarding arrogance of one country, I think that both USA and China have some arrogance. But we are annoyed, hateful but scared to China government because we are close to them and they are very greedy and invading ( the Manila time on March. 07 /2011 said ” China is a regional bully ) .
Sorry to say something out of the topic, but I can not tolerate communism, so I really hate Vietnam and China communist governments and other communist governments.
summary: before saying goodbye for returning working, I just hope again you will have more short, but concise and focused on writing comments ( I will learn that too, or else most of people do not spend time to read or reply), and try not to make too many accusations or too deep and far accusations.
If there are something right from the other writers, we take it and agree with it, especially if it is the important point.
            Thanks.

            David Le:

I appreciate the time and consideration you have given your comments, and that you have done it without resorting to petty insults.

The only thing I have to say is that Chinese, just like everyone else, strongly criticized those hateful Chinese, just like we do with people we know who are hateful. The majority of Chinese heavily lambasted those foolish fenqing already. They 1) do not need extra foreigners telling them what to do, and 2) no matter what anyone writes here, those fenqing will probably never see it.

            Good talk; take care

    - China Smack open to invite the foreigners to read and write the comments related to China and its people. If you want to stop all foreigners ‘ opinions, ask the editor to close or limit maximum what the foreigners want to say, the same as what China communist government has been doing.
    - Any way, people wrote the comments here to show their reactions towards those terrible Chinese. Not mainly to tell the Chinese what to do. But it is nice and good if all Chinese can see how the others appreciate highly fairness, justice and compassion through their comments.
    - nowadays, things become more and more international. And this way has many good points and values. People start thinking and concerning what is right or wrong, what are the ultimate goals of humankind and the world, what are the others’ points of view, what are the others’ differences and good values …… , even sometimes more concerning those mentioned above values than what our people of our country like.
    - Everyone should welcome the other countries’ comments and freely debate on those.
    - are you sure that majority of the Chinese ( who can access to the websites like this) do not need the foreigners’ comments . Or it is just your opinion and you stated as if it is from all Chinese people.
-However, any way, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is that the way you were using about the foreigners is distorted and negative in expression already.
The Chinese appreciate the foreigners to take time, energy and concerns to write comments to give opinions and ideas. But you change to ” the foreigners telling them what to do”. This expression sounded more unpleasant.
So, the comments about bad things in China or its bad Chinses ( which China SMACK still encourage the foreigners to tell what they think and want to say) became ” telling the Chinese what to do”in your mouth . You made me think that you are as a high official of the current China government, who always use this propaganda way to object any voice internationally for their wrongdoings, and as an arrogant Chinese.
You should not put your ideas in the foreigners ‘ mouths and in the Chinese ‘s mind too and expressed in very negative ways for the foreigners.
    - nowadays, all countries and their own people still try to respect any country and its people. But, it is different from the past. People internationally and any country should give voices to many wrong events in another country. And in fact, this should be encouraged, and sure that this will be more and more prevalent in new centuries, no matter how any government and any one do not like. And this way should not be considered as ” interferring with” like some communist and dictatorship countries are using.
What are freedom of speech and communications, especially through internet ? everyone should respect that and appreciate good opinions to share and help your countries ‘ bad sides. And if bad opinions, just do not take them to learn.
I, personally, still give my voice to object the invasion of China to Tibet eventhough China stated Tibet as the part of China.
I still write the comments to blame the corrupted officias in China that made Sichuan earthquake more damaged than expected and wrote the comments for the bad Chinese when they enjoyed about Japan earthquake.
Yes, eventhough they may not read or change at all after reading, and eventhough there are some persons like you think that these comments are telling the Chinese what they should do, at least they, you and all of us recognized that there are so many people ( may be the whole world and including the good Chinese ) unite together as a strong unit to object the bad things.
    - in my opinion, please do not use your opinion as the Chinese’ s opinions, or else many of them may be ashamed of those comments you wrote, eventhough seemed on their sides.

Chinasmack for the foreigners the opportunities to give their voices, expressed their emotion and thoughts, offered their opinions, as well as suggestions to China and its people ( I guess that somewhat stupid solutions are still welcomed, because I may not be smart and knowledgeable enough) . At the same time, the world can know more about China and its people.
    - now, it become” telling the Chinese what to do” ???
    - extra foreigners ‘ voices are not only for those bad Chinese, but also for those Chinese who are in the midde/ in the dilemma to understand more and those good Chinese to confirm more about their decisions, and the whole world has more connections between people who have the same the ultimate goals for human beings and the world.
    - no thing to be upset or say in the way : ” no need for extra foreigners telling more ..” if the Chinese are doing good and right things.
    - personally, I believe that most of the Chinese ( in the atmosphere of democracy and freedom) will appreciate foreigners’ comments, no matter if these comments criticize or oppose to China and its people in such points.
Not like what mr. Kong said.
