Chinese Ships Hijacked & Sailors Murdered in Golden Triangle

On Tianya and Mop:

Shocking murders in the Golden Triangle, over 10 Chinese sailors massacred

2011 October 5th noon, a Chinese ship (Hua Ping) and a Burmese/Myanma ship (Yu Xing 8) were hijacked by an unknown armed group. The over 10 crew members of both ships were Chinese sailors.

The location of the hijacking was the Golden Triangle between the borders of the three countries of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

The unidentified armed group used guns to force the Chinese crew to increase speed sailing towards Thailand.

When the ship sailed into Thailand, they encountered Thai water police and both sides exchanged fire.

Afterward the Thai water police boarded these two ships. Apart from discovering a male body in the mess hall of the Yu Xing 8, there was no one else on the ships but traces of blood were everywhere.

Found on the ship were over 900,000 tablets of illegal drugs.

The Chinese crew were all missing.

Now bodies have been found on the Mekong River, with one verified to be the captain of the Hua Ping, with another being a sailor for the Yu Xing 8.

Both died very brutally, the captain with both hands handcuffed together, and two bullet holes in his abdomen. The sailor’s head wrapped with tape and innumerable bullet holes on his back. Another sailor’s body is currently being salvaged and identified.

Tonight I have finally seen the same report on both Sina and iFeng, and I really hope President Hu will also see it too and that the Heavenly Kingdom will get justice for its people. For a long time now my own business has relied upon the hard work of the ship/boat captains on the Mekong River. Now the shipping lane has completely stopped, and I don’t know how long it will be stopped for, or how much the losses will be. [But] comparing this to the sacrifice of the captain is unimportant. Wiping dry my tears, I want to say: Rest in peace, dear friends, heaven has no gun shots!

liu.1987:

Looking at the photos is really uncomfortable. They died so tragically. Go-vern-ment, just when are you going to get justice for our dead compatriots?!

Inch_Mount:

If these were American sailors, war would’ve already erupted within Thailand’s borders!

散户是蟑螂:

Don’t lodge strong protests anymore!
Deploy military to the Golden Triangle, level the poppy fields, deploy the drones, shoot the drug lords~~~ in the name of anti-terrorism and narcotics~~~ If others can find an excuse to deploy troops to Afghanistan and Libya, why can’t the great Heavenly Kingdom?

China [the government] is too useless!!! Even when people die no one dares to stand forth and demand an explanation/justice from foreigners!!! If something were to happen to American sailors on Chinese territory…you tell me what would happen then?????

Comments from Tianya:

lg1300:

All Chinese ships in the Mekong River have suspended their shipping, but no sight of the Chinese government doing anything. This isn’t the first time that Chinese ships have had people attacked and killed, is this going to left unresolved/unsettled yet again??????

zhenlinqq1:

Chinese citizens have encountered problems outside the country, and what more, it is a massacre at the hands of unidentified armed groups. Strongly demand that the Chinese government take action and solve it. These two ships were both commercial ships. If this isn’t properly dealt with, then Chinese citizens will have no assurance of safety whatsoever outside the country, and Chinese commercial products will face even greater challenges in the ASEAN marketplace.

First let me express my sorrow. You guys will not have died in vain. Sooner or later, we will sort out/punish all of the surrounding countries, so that they will accompany you in death!!!

I’m reminded of “Saving Private Ryan“, for something like this to happen in our country, fucking Golden Triangle, I really want to go blow it up.

幽灵公主H:

Ugh, so horrible. Isn’t our country’s military strong and powerful? Strong and powerful to to the point where small bordering countries can bully us this way? No backbone at all, soft and easily pushed over when dealing with others, all your powerful weapons are useless. Fuck, give each person a gun and let’s go destroy this bastard small country.

透明感觉1:

Looking over Tianya, [I'm] becoming more and more disappointed with our country. China’s government is useless! And what’s more, it seems like a lot of the commenters believe that these murders are the result of a “small country” bullying them, when obviously it is the work of a criminal drug network. What kind of thinking is this, that any non-Chinese hurting Chinese is in fact a matter of national policy?

      • 覃伟忠

Yep, exactly. Goes right back to that same old insecurity complex. Coz that’s all I see when I read these Chinese posts. Heaps of nationalistic warmonger blather, misdirected towards the “small surrounding countries” rather than at a group of scumbag pirates who have no national affiliation. They think these pirates are representative of the countries in which this happened? Yeah, if they were Thai, Im sure they just bleed the colors of the Thai flag and were singing their national anthem after murdering the Chinese sailors, right? Knuckleheads. I fear for the future with so many irrational, misguided people clamoring for their twisted ideas of justice. I think the Chinese gov’t should insist on forming a task force (like the one off the Somali coast) as a joint endeavor to be shared with the bordering governments to go in and clean that shit up. But they won’t because all the right people are taking a piece of the action in return for turning a blind eye.

Didn’t find anyone on board, left 900,000 hits on the “Yu Xing 8.”

You can move 900.000 hits easily, don’t need two boats…most of it was probably offloaded already upriver…or not!!!!!!.

Colombians were snagging “clean boats” for years…you just never heard about it, ruin the tourist business in the Gulf and Caribbean. Now thankfully they’re using homemade subs or driving it up right through Central America…and very successfully.

Something’s missing from this story, why hijack two boats, nothing was found, no hijackers found, why torture these guys, just kill them and dump them…it’s business, these guys were killed for revenge.

What was found on the “Hua Ping”….no mention…

Welcome to the new China: “We’re a superpower now bitches” If we are really unlucky the Chinese govt will try to make hay out of this one and launch a punitive mission on the ,Mecong river area. If the Thais don’t sort them out then the Karen, the Miao and every other bunch of dipsticks who have been running that area for the last 50 years [including what's left of a KMT chinese army] will hand them their arses. • mr. weiner

Well , let me see, The Americans last 55,000 dead in the 15 years they were there. The Chinese lost 30,000 [estimated]in the 6 months they were there and that was mainly to the Vietnamese equivilant of the home guard. On points I’d say they got their arse kicked.

          • whododat

Well by your reasoning that would mean that the US won the war, because Vietnam lost over one million soldiers and as many as another million civilians.

And besides the Vietnamese have been killing foreigners for over 20 years, so they are good at killing but not the Chinese chickenshit PLA, they only know how to kill their own.

          • mr. weiner

The Vietnamese like the Chinese have never cared about the loses they have in war as manpower is their most ubundant resource. All I’m saying is the last time the Chinese blundered into indochina over the mistreatment of other Chinese they achieved nothing except the lose of an allie who hates them to this day, no gains in territory and a humiliating loss of face [kind of like you do every time you type one of your stream of conciousness tirades]

        • http://thecapitalinthenorth.blogspot.com jixiang

I’m betting the Americans also killed a lot more Vietnamese civilians with napalm than the Chinese did. Does that mean they win even more points?

      • Chad

They were not shipping drugs you twat. That’s just a dumb assumption you (and many others here) made. The gangs in the area hijack ships and use them to smuggle drugs. The Thai police and army both said this.

        • Tengu

@Chad – “The gangs in the area hijack ships and use them to smuggle drugs.”

Look above, that’s what’s called a “clean boat.”

“They were not shipping drugs you twat.”

The original crew members were not, but where’d the 900,000 hits come from, personal consumption?

          • Chad

The point is the original crew were not shipping drugs, which is what Brett was implying.

          • Tengu

@ Chad, no one knows if they were. Possibly not, but it looks like someone spent a tad too much time on them, hands, duct tape, hoods, gags. Business is business, time is money, shoot ‘em, leave them below. Colombians used to just toss them over the rails, kids everyone.

            BUT

No one on board and $2 mil worth of product left on the table is strange, no matter how you slice it that’s a little odd.

Someone mentioned a “furious 30 minute gun battle with police.” Two groups of “professionals”, some carnage would have been left behind.

There’s more to this than is showing up, just the nature of it this business thrives on corruption.

The Opium Trade was one of the most influential facets in bringing about the existing “Free Market System”…huge money, it never left and it always adapts.

        • 覃伟忠

NO, common. those guys were involved in the drug operation. the cartels steal boats all the time. why would they murder 10 sailors in cold blood? that doesnt happen much. they couldve easily just dumped those guys off alive and handcuffed and this wouldve never even made the news. now look at all the heat thats gonna come down on them. why would they do that? because it was personal. furthermore, if they were just innocent sailors, they wouldve been worth more alive as hostages or bargaining chips. i dont see why they wouldve just killed em off unless. of course i have no more facts than you, im just sayin, it makes sense.

Wait a minute, these guys were transporting drugs. Obviously somewhere in the organization there is a rat. Reading the Mop comments, I think the Chinese people have blindly taken nationalism to a whole new dimension.

    • Brett Hunan

      Dead on…

Obviously being bound and executed is shitty, but the netizens are feeling bad for this group that could have been planning to take the junk back to China for all anyone knows.

In that game, murder is as much business as drug manufacturing and transportation.

Not to mention, what would have happened to them if they brought the stuff back to China and got caught? Bound, and shot in the back of the head.

      • KfU

Some people might say that if “caught”, where caught means it is politically expedient to parade some low level mule, or, there is no way of making the story go-away so some one must be seen to be guilty and in turn die, then yes someone would be executed if they attempted to bring this in to China…

Some people might also suggest that the drugs trade in China (and the provinces of Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam) is, like the Shenzhen – Hong Kong Prostitution, Gambling, Real-Estate, and Fine Dining Company… or the Mynamar – China Timber, Rubber, and Various other UN Sanctioned Goods International Trade Company (often and wrongly confused with the Kunming Municipal Government Department of Foreign Relations)… financed and controlled by… well, no need to say really….

Some might add further that it is safe to assume that no one of real importance would be executed… as turkeys don’t vote for Christmas…

However others will say that those evil drug criminals from Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam (3 countries in no-way controlled by China) murdered some innocent Chinese seamen whilst conducting their evil drug trade.

… and some crazy people might speculate that the deaths of these boatmen, added to the extent of the Chinese maritime trade on the Mekong – might lead to the Chinese government demanding / highlighting the need the “protection” for Chinese boats travelling up and down the Mekong.

… and some really crazy people might go further and suggest that when this can’t be guaranteed by Vietnam, Laos, or Myanmar, then China will have no option but to send its own “protection” to the area…

… but personally I don’t think that could be true – as if those people were right, and of course they are not, then those in charge of protecting shipping on the Mekong would be the same people who control and finance the illegal trade of narcotics and UN sanctioned trade goods throughout southern China and Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam.

… a sort of State Owned Monopoly, if you like….

    • Chad

“I think the Chinese people have blindly taken nationalism to a whole new dimension.”

And I guess you’ve taken jumping to conclusions to a new level as well.

They were not shipping drugs you twat. That’s just a dumb assumption you (and many others here) made. The gangs in the area hijack ships and use them to smuggle drugs. The Thai police and army both said this.

      http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/asia-pacific/11-chinese-sailors-killed-on-mekong-river-near-golden-triangle-2-others-missing/2011/10/09/gIQAWUDqYL_story.html

      • KfU

Sorry Chad, but where do I say that the men on the boat were trafficking drugs?

In your rush for self- righteous indignation and profanity (twat – really? – nice… cunt maybe, but twat – come come) it seems you merely skim-read what I wrote…

Kind of like jumping to conclusions about accusing someone of jumping to conclusion… is that irony? maybe…

I can break it down for you, if it’s easier….

        1) Unlike Brett Hunan suggested, I think it is unlikely that anyone of Chinese origin in the upper echelons of the narcotics trade in China would be executed – unless they pissed-off someone even higher up.

        2) That like prostitution in SZ and HK, and the illegal timber and rubber trade from Myanmar to China (to be exported as of Chinese origin so that circumvents US and EU sanctions – you can go to the border and watch the trucks roll past if you’re in doubt) narcotics is controlled by “powerful and connected” people (and a knat can’t get across the border without paying the correct people – let alone tonnes of narcotics).

So far all about Brett’s point, nothing to do with the poor seamen… so not sure why you are so irked….

        3) That one interpretation could be the official one.

        I agreed with you here…

        4) That the Chinese gov’t might seek re-assurances of the protection of Chinese shipping in the Mekong Delta (which they officially did this afternoon).

Well, it turned out to be true – so 4 can’t be the source of your vexation….

        5) That when this condition can’t be met – China might suggest it deploys protection vessels to the region (which would make sense – other countries do it in major shipping lanes to protect their national interests).

This would seem highly plausible, not least because of the on-going dispute between China, Vietnam, Laos, etc. . .

        Maybe it was 6?

        6) That the P * A and their associates are key players in prostitution, the trade of prohibited goods, and the import of narcotics in southern China, especially SZ, HK, Yunnan, and other border provinces – and if they were put in charge of patrolling the key shipping lanes of S.E Asia, then this would allow them to increase their influence and control outside of China’s borders…

Yeah, that’s based highly on supposition – but not in the realms of fantasy by a long shot… and certainly makes no reference to the seamen who were shot…

So, Chad… what was your point again?

Oh, and not that i’m disputing what you’re saying in anyway… or that the official line isn’t true, but the Thais saying something doesn’t make it true… your gov’t and mine (I’m assuming you’re American with the W-Post link and Chad) said Iraq had WMD’s – and that turned out to be a pile of crap…

        • Brett Hunan

That Washington Post news report is a good way for Thai police to raise opposition against the Shan and gain favor of the Chinese gov’t at the same time. Why everyone believes that the AP is uncompromisable is still an enigma.

          Chad, don’t be gullible.

  • pervertt

Just wait till the new aircraft carrier is operational. The PLA Navy will teach the pirates a lesson they won’t forget.

    • Dr. Jones Jr.

Yeah. The lesson might be titled, “How to capsize an aircraft carrier in the Mekong.” Assuming the aircraft carrier could even arrive in one piece, as it would likely have to be shipped overland to get there.

    • Adjutant

Aircraft carrier is completely unnecessary. All that is required are cruisers and destroyers.

If you just want to park it in the middle of the ocean to “make a statement” well then that’s different, not exactly teaching the pirates “a lessong they won’t forget”

      • GodsHammer

You guys are missing the picture entirely… the Mekong river is not the ST. Lawrence river. It’s really not that big…you can’t just pilot ocean going warships up her…or fly, sail etc your warships WELL inside some other country’s sovereign borders.

It’s like I have to give a history, economics, geography joint course in this place.

        • pervertt

Irony doesn’t go too far here in this forum. GodsHammer comes closest to the point I was trying to make, which is there seems to be very little the Chinese government can do to protect its citizens under threat outside China’s borders. To do this you need a rapid deployment force, a means of deployment and arrangements with other governments to use your forces on their turf. An aircraft carrier is about as useful as a battle tank in this situation.

      • Medical Advisor

        ditto sir. dit to.

      • Just John

You are right. As we see in the story of the two year old, Chinese are superior in not paying attention to the suffering of others.

As we see in the story of China’s rivers, Chinese culture is definitely superior in the way they mess up the environment.

As we see in the case of an anti-corruption official being stabbed over 10 times and it being ruled as a suicide, Chinese culture is definitely superior in the way that anti-corruption officials are dealt with.

Of course, it could all be a paradox, and you are trying to say western culture is superior, but that would also be incorrect on many points too.

Guess you will loose either way.

        • Medical Advisor

There was also a case of US citizen caught having sex with pigs.

          • Just John

If you would stop having sex with them, there would be no one to catch.

  • Hongjian

Happens all the time in the golden triangle. Just this time we have pics. I’m originally from Yunnan, btw.
No worries, though. The PLA Chengdu MR and the local PAP mobile divisions are always combatting trafficking there, up to the point of raiding tourist busses with road-blocks and with SMG-armed officers entering and checking people for drugs and shit. Now, this time some PAP river guards have missed their chance for a promotion…

    Better luck next time.

  • Hongjian

Also, news has it that out of the 13 sailors, two of them where female cooks, whose tongues where cut out by the drug-trafficers. Perhaps just for fun or ritual purposes, seeing that they were already tied and about to be shot, and could in no way ‘speak out’ against them in any case.

All in all, the criminal case itself is quite typical, albeit the outcome is not: The crew refused to cooperate with the criminals to help them smuggle the drugs, and got killed for this. They wouldnt have been killed, if they surrendered their ship and cooperated with the drug trafficers.
If true, it is indeed quite astonishing of my chinese compariots, who are more known for being spineless cowards who would rather bark for the one with the gun or the most money, than to risk their asses for a principle…

With this, the rage of the netizens and fenqing are quite understandable. The people killled here, were probably members of the already endangered and dwindling minority of the chinese population, who still havent surrendered their spines, even though they have to risk them (and more) everyday to make a living. In harsh opposite to 99.9999% of the Shanghai population, who would even assist the criminals to tie up and murder their countrymen before falling on the knees infront of the hijackers to continue sucking them off, for just a small hope of saving their own asses…

Seeing this, I hope China and Thailand could reach an agreement with each other to allow Chinese forces to assist or even lead the hunt for that ethnic Shan group who are suspected of this crime.

    • GodsHammer

If that is indeed the truth of the matter then I retract my previous scornful accusations. However…I doubt it is the reality.

      • Chad

Why do you doubt it? Because the Thai police said so? Because the Thai army said so? Because media all over the world is reporting so? God damn it people here are so stupid.

        • Brett Hunan

          • Brett Hunan

I guess, I can’t remember, but I guess the only point I was trying to make was that your argument of “the Thai police and army said it so it must be true” is void.

It is true that Chinese have been involved with the drug trade for some time now and, up to now, no one really knows 1oo% if that ship was moving drugs or not.

In the future I may eat my words, but on the other hand, you might too.

    • http://candosino.wordpress.com terroir

      Hongjian,

thank you for putting forth a measured response with reasons that back up your argument. Regardless of whether we agree or not (which we do it this case, but not entirely), I applaud you for being rational and civil.

My biggest hope is that you and I and others like us can disagree in a manner just like this. Like gentlemen; and, uh, ladies.

  • xiaopengyou

    > Found on the ship were over 900,000 tablets of illegal drugs.

Why was everyone from Mop and Tianya so horrified of this incident and demanding the Chinese government get strong?

Does the Chinese government have a policy that resolutely protects drug traffickers?

    • dim mak

State media is claiming that the sailors were innocent and their ship was hijacked by drug dealers to traffick the tablets. Which is likely true, as this happens all the time

Then again there’s probably some involvement on the Chinese side as well, so who knows

      • Hongjian

Bribing local officials and inspecteurs are always within the realm of the possibilities. But this doesnt normally include murder of that scale. Eve if corruption is regularily involved, what I believe is indeed the case here, the drug trafficers still overstepped the line of official tolerance they have “purchased” with many hongbaos, by this murder.

This whole case wouldnt have been published, if something hadnt go seriously wrong, making it impossible for the local authorities to close an eye on it.
So, I believe this here is indeed severe, no matter in what degree corrupt chinese mandarins were involved.

      • Chad

Aside from the “state media”, the Washington Post via the Associated Press reported the same thing since that’s what the Thai army and police reported.

Isn’t China trying to make a stake in the South China Sea, and so is now trying to drum up support and nationalism against those nefarious countries that are also trying to make a claim in the area?

      • whododat

Yo terrible terroir, do you know where the South China Sea is?

It is much closer to the USA, that’s why there are so many US naval ports and ships fucking around in the SCS and in that part of the Pacific ocean.

        • Tengu

“It is much closer to the USA,…”

          Vasco da Gama you’re not.

      • Hongjian

China and Thailand’s relationships are pretty good, since Deng traveled there before the ’79 invasion of Vietnam, to personally reassure that the coming war was only aimed at containing the common enemy of both Thai and Chinese a that time; the “vietnamese expansionism”, fueled by USSR’s support, with the first victim being the Red Khmer regime of Cambodia, that was both supported by China and Thailand (with the US also backing, since the Khme were anti Viet/anti USSR).

Even nowadays, Thailand’s royalty are travelling to China regularily for health checks and holidays.
So, if anything, China nad Thailand do not have any territorial or even political conflicts with each other.

        • hooots

I have no facts to back this up, but I’m thinking Thailand’s healthcare is better than China’s. In my experience that’s seemed to be true.

@ pair o’ boxers – have you ever actually seen a pair o’ DD’s, proportion, proportion, proportion.

You do make a valid point, but your example isolates a very, very miniscule segment of the entire medical community. Popping silicone or saline bags into the pecs of 110 LB boys does not an excess of medical availability make.

That’s cosmetic surgery and cosmetic surgery alone.

I live in the4 US with some of the most famous hopitals in the world close by, burnt over 80% of your body, 2 month old kid with a hole in her heart, transplants, orthopedic surgery, microscopic eye surgery…come here.

You want a fake pair of boobs….go anywhere. You can probably get a pretty decent pair of knobs in Romania.

You and I can probably figure out how to do it with “Boob Jobs for Dummies” and open up a clinic somewhere….

But, considering they grafted a guys toe to his hand the Chinese may have a lot to learn from the Thai Medical community, not like the Thai’s ever put a fake knocker in the middle off a guy’s back!

The case seem to be perplexing and multi-parties involved.

These netizens are not too bright are they , just because the communist party controls their every move apparently even drug cartels and the people who hi jack boats and commit a massacre. still does not mean that other countries run like that.
The golden triangle , where this incident took place is “between” the boarders of Burma Lao and Thailand, yet the netizens want to dispatch military to start a war against the country “Golden Triangle”.

Who were these sailors, what were their ship carrying , the way they were executed seems to me that they had an dispute. But that’s just speculation.

in the meanwhile, street vendors are beaten to death, miners are suffocating in the coal mines, innocent people jailed for speaking their mind others are suicided, inside China. But you know the Chinese are too nice, too civilized.

People should understand the situation better before overreacting.
-The original crew (ie. the dead ones) were not smuggling drugs but shipping ordinary goods.
-They were highjacked by unidentified drug smuggling pirates (who most likely ethnic Han as well)
-The Thai police found the ship after it was abandoned
The bad guys in this story are ethnic Han drug smugglers not the Thai

The Thai government already co-operates with China in many aspects dealing with the drug trade, and Thailand is one of the countries that does respect China. (their current and past 3 presidents are all ethnic Han)

China wants to be a superpower. Chinese dream of a new Middle Kingdom. They create epic movies about past glories and discuss how different peoples became empires…

Well, there is one key condition that is common to empires throughout the history: the weight of the own citizenship.
A Roman citizen was a sacred thing. Remember that story in the Bible when Paul says he is a Roman citizen and the Greek who had just whipped the f*ck out of him were all like “Oh God what have I done”?
Killing a British in the colonies was a guarantee of having your ass kicked to eternal oblivion.
There’s a short set of magic spells which are actually effective nowadays. One of the most powerful is “I am an American citizen”. It makes good things happen! (unless you are in a country that is clearly hostile to the US, but why are you there anyway?)

A Chinese citizenship is not a privilege but a burden. It is more like a guarantee of getting YOUR ass kicked to oblivion. And when you say “I am a Chinese citizen” some people wonder if you were smuggled into their country. So the Chinese can get the world’s biggest army, a huge territory and lots of nukes, they are still a third world country.

Hideous indeed. However keep in mind that America LOOKS for excuses to start wars and occupy countries. We have politicians calling for an invasion of Iran for chrissakes over a plot to murder the Saudi embassador. Our military budget consumes half of our wealth and we spend more on the military than the rest of the world COMBINED. • Jack

This would look familiar to Mexican police – a drug deal that went badly wrong. Why has nobody been able to find out exactly what all those drugs were doing on the Chinese vessels, and why there was no other registered cargo?

These weren’t just nice Chinese fishermen out on a pleasure cruise. What do you think is mostly traded in the Golden Triangle? I think the reluctance of any side to mention the business of the Chinese crew, or to pursue a full investigation, says a lot about how much the Chinese authorities want to reveal about this case.

    • 麵條

Drug traffickers killing drug traffickers, saves the police a lot of work me thinks.

      • Just John

Actually, if you will note, it does not say the ship was used for drug trafficking by the original captain and crew. It says it was high jacked by drug traffickers and then used to traffic illegal drugs.

It was probably a normal boat used for transporting goods from one venue to another, ie. normal goods transportation, not illicit goods transportation. If you could highlight where it states the original captain and crew were actually doing something illegal, than you may have a valid argument, but based on what I read, there is no mention of the original captain and crew doing something wrong, just being in the wrong place and the wrong time.

As for the issues Jack points out, I would sure like to see where he got this information, because this story does not say anything about no registered cargo or anything else. Not as if the golden triangle cannot be a path from China to India for goods transport, so to assume that someone there is only running drugs is to make a pretty wild accusation. Could be there went through the area on the way to their port of call.

Not saying you two are wrong in your speculation, just saying I would like to see where you are getting the information from about these speculations.

        • 麵條

You could call it a gut feeling.
If by chance the vessel was used after the murders for the purpose of trafficking drugs, one must ask why did they leave their precious cargo behind?

          • Just John

Possibly because the cargo was taking up valuable space and they wanted the space to ship a higher volume of drugs.

Me, I am just speculating, same as you. This is why I asked if there is another source of information for where you two are basing your information from, or if you are just speculating.
