Father Drops Daughter For Foul Ball At Taiwan Baseball Game

In Taiwan, a wife glares at her husband at a baseball game after he dropped their daughter in a rush to catch a foul ball.

The following video featuring a Taiwanese father who drops his daughter in an effort to catch a foul ball at a baseball game has already been very popular on YouTube and many foreign websites but has finally risen up to become one of the most viewed videos on Youku today, 2 days after it was uploaded. It currently has over 425k views…

Comments from Youku:

不得随便:

This father deserved being scolded! I feel sorry for that little girl.

███㊣㊣███:

That look, he’s doomed. 搞笑

lndzj:

Seeing the mother’s stare I laughed.

宏发广告制作:

The father is screwed, I bet he’s not going to get any for a month. Hahaha!!!

lan564161249:

Watching a game and getting really into it, brother [referring to self] can understand. But, [dropping] the daughter is your mistake.

男勃鸡妮:

The guy’s expression was really cute when he was trying to explain.

ZHYOO:

Lousy child, get out of my way!

470928171:

A ball was flying towards him, so of course he had to block it, otherwise what would happen if it were to hit the child? What did the guy do wrong? It wasn’t as if he was trying to catch the ball.

英英美戴子:

Actually it was that child herself who wanted to catch the ball, but because she didn’t have a good footing and was too excited, she fell over.

龙虾吃番茄: (responding to above)

Are your the forensic medical expert in that “was suicided” case?

A father at a baseball game in Taiwan reaches to pick up his daughter after dropping her in an effort to catch a foul ball. His wife glares at him a few seats away.

¥¥小人物¥¥:

He tries explaining afterward, that the ball was flying towards the daughter, that if he didn’t throw away the daughter to catch the ball, then the ball would’ve directly hit the daughter! Haha!

zhengdejiade:

搞笑 This father is such a bastard!

ccrr888:

This woman actually can be considered quite calm. If she were a mainland woman, she would’ve immediately demanded a divorce with all household assets. 赞

的,没。:

Didn’t you guys see his gestures at the end? He felt the ball was going to hit his daughter. The broadcaster too was just stirring up trouble.

龙虾吃番茄: (responding to above)

That was him making excuses~ If it really was to protect his child, then he should’ve been using one hand to protect his child and the other hand blocking the ball rather than using both hands to try catching the ball, almost even standing up [to reach further].

风余风雨: (responding to 的,没。)

Heh, that’s an excuse. If he was really thinking that, then the normal action would have been to block, not rising up to go catch.

wanghuicopy: (also responding to 的,没。)

Then he should be using his hand/arm to block, not throwing his child out.

新莽夫:

This is the most reasonable/deserved glaring I’ve ever seen~

Hahaha, the funniest thing today!

I would have done the same thing.

bwahahahahaha…this is classic! Wonder if he’d have done that if he jumped from a comfortable sofa? Would mommy still be mad if the girl was dumped onto a nice sofa? Nah…

If a look could kill. No bedroom privilieges for min. 6 month. The guy has thrown his ticket away.

  • coala banana

overreactions from the commentators, i think that the ball was going to hit his daughter and in addition its a normal human reaction when things flying at you at high speed you raise your hands or try to grab them. It was unfortunate that he had at the same time his daughter in his hands. He had no time to turn his back. The ball would have either hit his daughter or him. Apart from that, the mothers look is priceless.

    • Loopins

Check it again…he was stood up and leaning forward trying to get the ball. I disagree he had to throw his kid down the next level.. he could have moved sideways with the girl. he had room to move.

      • TomTuttleFromTacoma

He thought the ball was going to hit his kid and that was the only play.

Sure it landed harmlessly 3 rows in front of him, but it’s hard to judge a sliced foul ball (just ask Steve Bartman).

People who don’t play baseball and chicks (like his wife) just don’t understand.

        I applaud HERO DAD.

  • Wily Wanker

Always thought this was something only an american would do. Remember that one guy who ended up dying for a ball?

C‘mon Trolliver McTrollster… draw up an analogy that incorporates Taiwan, separatist attitudes, the south China seas and an aircraft carrier.

Teh funny “flies” in the face of your black and white perspective!

    • Just John

Sorry, don’t think it will work.
Most of our trolls seems to have abandoned ship.

I do not see vic2u around anymore, TIM didn’t even last as long as vic2u, and Hongjian seems to have mellowed when s/he is seen anymore. Johnny Basic finally seems to have quit stalking you (Didn’t last long though).

Justin did seem to be in the Taiwan/China debacle though, and since he is still around, maybe he will come troll for you. Greg however does not seem to lurk these halls anymore though, and I have not seen PRC in forever, so don’t think they will bite.

I think you would need to either reference blacks to get Karl to bite, or Japanese/Koreans to get Cleo to bite.

Good luck on your troll trolling.

      • http://candosino.wordpress.com terroir

Good job. Someone will come to take second watch and relieve you of you post.

Remember: we must be absolutely certain to never ever let one of those in here, because [trails off]..

Ripley: Hicks, if one of them gets to me, you’ll take care of it, won’t you?

Hicks: Well, if it comes down to that, I’ll do us both… but let’s make sure it never gets down to that, right?

        [end of flirtation.]

Always thought the original had the best cast, but it’s the only flick where the sequel was better than the original.

I certainly mean it when I say there’s a new breed of chinaSMACK commenter.

I haven’t been around for all three years, but there used to be some real heavyweights that would articulate the finest point in the most delicate way that would of course be tromped upon by the other side (comes to mind: Kai, AndyB, and the always entertaining PUSAN playa). Like rock stars, they burned bright and went out in a flash/bang.

In their stead, now there are all of you hard-core guys who’d rather joke than fight, but because you have been all immunized to trolling and frequenting one of the most dangerous websites on the planet (to your mellow disposition), you guys have taken the wind of the sails of the boats of hate and ignorance.

I guess what’s left is for us to turn upon each other. Or, we can actually have conversations. A thing people do in which they exchange ideas and aren’t always just listening to themselves.

It’s happening. Euphanism by euphanism, double-entendre by double-entendre. What’s for certain is that chinaSMACK will remain a dangerous place to frequent.

We can always eat our own young.

Are there kernels of truth, wee diamonds in the rough, gems to be found in a poll dancing article, guy who drops his kid vid or the clip of Bubbles the Wonder Girl.

Seems to me the articles are getting light and not being refreshed.

We all liked the the “big eared guys” whacking the cetaceans, we ran amok with that, plenty of uncorroborated facts, odd links, quotes from unknown sources, geography lessons and even a few recipes flying around.

Toss out some meat and the hyenas will return…

Seriously though every married guy knows that look. I think he just lost his “season ticket” and probably the snack bar concession too.

  • Brett Hunan

Hahahaha, that was funny. The kid was still holding onto that paper cone and she didn’t shed a tear. It was as if this scenario was meticulously composed and played in his head many times before the ball was even hit. He knew exactly where to drop her.

That happens at games in America as well, there was a video circulating a few months ago where some guy let the ball hit his girlfriend because he was scared of it

  • Wily Wanker

Watching that video, the most important thing to me, was staring at the legs of the woman sitting in row before them.

    • Just John

      Hey, thanks for highlighting that.
I had to go watch the video again to catch it.

Sadly, I did not really watch it the first time.
The whole concept of baseball sort of bothers me, taking sticks to balls. I don’t want sticks near my balls…

Now basketball is better, 5 guys trying to get the ball through the hole, and they made it easier to hit by putting some hair around it.

    • Tengu

The babe in the beige holding two paper cones? Didn’t notice her….

      • Just John

Yes, she has a nice short skirt and long legs. You can see almost to her ass at one point.
        Glad be pointed that out=P

        • Wily Wanker

I noticed it in the YouTube still. And not just long legs. Meaty in the shapely vain. A very good figure. Wish it were more common with asian women here.
That guy’s wife ain’t bad either IMO. He’s got two kids by her at least so you know he enjoys that pie too. He might not be eating it for awhile tho’.

  • 平凡人

Spare him, I think he got a lot of shit from his “Battlle Axe” already.

I should add: that is a perfect Chinese girl. Doesn’t cry when dropped. Doesn’t complain. Will give up her career for family, and will marry whomever best ingratiates themselves with mom and pop.

How much more perfect can she be? Are her feet bound? If captured by a Japanese commander, will he patriotic defiance intimidate this Japanese running dog?

    Oh. And straight-ass bangs.

I’ll even up it a notch… I’ll drop two kids at once.

All the commenter here seem to think that the wife glaring at this guy is enough. If China were a culture that truly loved and protected it children the way people always claim the guy would have been investigated by the police or a children services agency. The announcers can’t stop laughing, they think it si the funniest thing they have ever seen. The little girl is probably abused in many ways at home by both parents.

    • anon

You’re a moron. A father who accidentally drops his daughter in an excited moment to catch a baseball at a baseball game is hardly sufficient cause to suggest any probability of the girl being abused in many ways at home. What the fuck is wrong with you? Or are you just trying too hard?
