Putin holds back tears announcing election victory

March 5th, Russian Federation Central Election Commission Chariman Vladimir E. Churov, in accordance with preliminary results, announced that the “United Russia” party presidential candidate Vladimir Putin has been elected the new president. Over 100,000 Putin supporters gathered at Moscow’s Manezh Square next to the Kremlin to celebrate the general election victory. Putin and Dmitry Medvedev attended and gave speeches. While speaking, Putin had tears in his eyes. However, Putin later said that he did indeed have tears during his speech, but they were caused by the blowing wind.

Putin is not a representative of the Russian Communist Party, but a strong man! When he was president for 8 years, he grew Russia’s economy eightfold! On this alone, the Russian people like this leader. Returning to the Kremlin this time, elected with 65% of the preliminary vote, a “Strong Man” with a face full of tears! These tears are tears of confidence, a display of continued devotion. If he doesn’t do well, he can still do a second term–12 years. If we go by his past 8-year 8-fold speed, what would Russia’s economy, military, politics, and society be like in 12 years? Let us wait and see! I have great hopes for him. Simultaneously find a better way of communicating with him!

There’s one thing you need to be clear on: Russia’s economy growing several times is the work of the Russian working people, not the work of Putin by himself.

网易贵州省贵阳市网友: (responding to above)

The Russian people are the same Russian people as before. Why were they one way before and suddenly became better when he took office?

terminalman [网易广东省深圳市网友]: (responding to above)

Just a historical trend. When the Soviet Union collapsed and became the Russian Federation, there was a painful transformation, like going through labor after 10 months of pregnancy. Russia today is much better than the past system, with ample resources and little population, so there is no reason why the ordinary common people’s lives would not be better than before. Of course, Russia’s road is long, and it is still a very young and not fully democratic country.

卧槽舞矛犬假 [网易河北省网友]: (responding to 网易贵州省贵阳市网友)

I only have one thing to say: The years when Putin was in office happened to be when oil prices were skyrocketing throughout the world. Even a pig could make resource-rich nation prosperous [like Russia during that time]!

China had full democracy before during 1912-1928. The full democracy only brought warloadism into China. Today example is Afghanistan. Democracy (people’s power) was and is major force behind most genocides in the history.

Dictator or Moarch is still better.

      • moop

no, totalitarianism is behind most recent genocides, that and religion. don’t try to argue against democracy, the only point you may have made in your post is that when uncivilized people have democracy they are still more or less barbarians. good point

But most Germans were supporting Hitler’s policy of genocide. Your racist comment is obviously doubl standard.

          • Young Man

‘Ethnic Cleansing’ is when you move a large number of people of one race into an area dominated by another race- perhaps you will uproot the second race, perhaps exterminate them, perhaps just breed them out.

Armenian Genocide, “young turks” overthrow the long standing absolute ruler, the Ottoman sultan with a populist, democratic and progressive government. In turning the Ottoman empire into Turkey, they decide what to do with the non-Turks in the Turkish metropole. They were not an issue under an empire, but in the self-determined nation state they were building, they had no part. Resolution was to kill them, 1.5 million of them.

Yugoslavia? After Tito’s lifetime of iron fisted repression of nationalist setiment and enforcement of peaceful tollerance through a heavy handed police state comes to an end, Serbs freak out after a Serbian farmer is analy violated by Albanians and decide to wipe out their race. Country falls into chaos, thousands die, eventually Nato has to come in and fix the mess.

In Rwanda, after giving power back to the Hutu majority, first order of business was pretty much to kill the Tutsis. The Tutsi minority takes the country back (after having a full half of its women and children raped and murdered) and the country returns to stability.

Cultural revolution? Mao tells the PLA and police force to back off and allow students and young people to physically excersise their rights to show anger towards the state. They celebrate their freedom by vandalising the country, killing Chinese war hero Peng Dehui, chairman Liu Shaoqi and others and setting the country back one generation.

You are 100% wrong on blaming totalitarianism for genocide, police states are secure enough in their repression to not bother with it. The only good example of state genocide is Nazi Germany, and that was a historical freak, abhorent for its novelty as much as for its scale. Genocide has been historically a feature of “mob rule”, which is democracy in its purest, undiluted by the liberal thought that allows the interest of minorities to get served in proportional amounts.

“Liberalism” is what you mean, respect for the rights of others. Democracy is simply a manner of giving control to the people, what the people will do with that power is reflective of the people’s values and beliefs.

          • A GUY

            You are a tard.
Here are some numbers for you.
            Mao.
            78,000,000
            Stalin
            23,000,000
            Hitler
            12,000,000
            Tojo
            5,000,000
            Pol Pot
            1,700,000
            Kim I’l Sung
            1,600,000
            Sadam
            600,000
            Franco
            30,000
            Castro
            30,000
            ETC…

Yep it may not all be Genocide but it’s the same result.

Just cause some A-hole uses populist sentiments to encourage evil doesn’t mean that it is Democracy that causes it. It is caused by hatred.

Putin is scum. He’s probably crying at the joy of another rigged election.

          • donscarletti

Most of those numbers are based on government incompetence and external wars, not government sponsored civil violence (genocide). About as relavent to the original topic as cancer mortality statistics.

Khmer Rouge actually is a good example of my point, chaos begets violence, they never bothered to build a proper police state, just went around spreading fairly indiscriminate terror.

French Reign of Terror is another one I forgot.

          • donscarletti

Anyway, if you want to call someone a tard, try making a coherent rebuttal to his argument, rather than just quoting a few big, frequently-used numbers and leaving their relevance to the imagination of the reader.

          • moop

ccp government incompetence= mao knowingly selling rice to foreign countries while millions starved to death?

soviet and communist mongolian incompetence= mongolian great purge resulting in the deaths of 18,000 buddhist lamas?
            soviet government incompetence= katyn massacre?

i normally agree with some of the things you say don but you’re starting to sound like an apologist

          • A guy

The original comment was about warlord-ism in China when democracy was “tried” 1912-1928. I’m just saying that the death toll after that period when the Chinese were under pretty heavy handed control is much worse. The problem with China is that it has never really been a coherent state politically. The reason warlord-ism prevailed is because most of those places were not bound to China by political will but instead by violence, and a prerequisite for Democracy is political will to be one nation that treats all it’s people with equal respect. America had this problem until the 60′s, the reason it stayed intact was the fact that the oppressed was a very small portion of the population. The subversion was wrong and is still being mended, but to say that the democratic system in America today has the potential for genocide is preposterous.

Other nations like Rwanda and Yugoslavia are due to a lack of a will to be one country, and for the sides to respect each other. China may actually be ready for Democracy now, they may have problems in Tibet, Xinjiang, and some southern border areas, but I think they may even leave with all those regions buying in to the new system.

Thinking like your’s hold humanity back. The initial release of oppressed and anger may make Democracy volatile for a time, but dictatorship is only suppressing these things. The cost of this suppression to me exceeds the worst case scenario for a democracy gone wrong. (therefore the numbers)

The previous statements by others that some nations aren’t civilized enough for Democracy is also wrong, they are ready but, there should be an orderly change. In China’s case I would not liberalize in one fell swoop. It is my hope that China will find it’s own way to reform and will find the joys of liberal democracy on their own terms. Russia however is more than ready.

My point is not that Racial based violence is not more prevalent in failed Democracy, but that the first statements obvious conclusion that somehow Dictatorship and Monarchy are better is absurd and disgusting.

That is why you are a TARD. I find your comments as dangerous and counter productive to the advancement to the human race as holocaust deniers.

Democracy brought warlords to Afghanistan because it clashed with the teachings of islam. Not because democracy somehow gave the people power. They took it. The afgani warlords were fighing off communism that was there at the time and before that there was only tribalism and monarchies.

The worst of genocides were commited under monarchies and dictatorships hand in hand with religious fanatics.

        • fabulous

Well you’ve all missed the point.
All of these atrocities and genocides were committed by people. Not a dictator, a monarch or a religious leader.
          People.
Not a political group or form of government. Not Democracy, anarchy, theocracy or fascism.
          People.
People went out and killed their neighbours. People went over to someone else’s house and raped their wife. People stood by while stupid decisions were being made. People helped implement those stupid decisions. People whose desires can be manipulated.

Hitler wasn’t superman. He didn’t fly around rounding up Jews and exterminating homosexuals with heat vision. He told people that they were the best and how nice it would be if everyone was like them. They said “thanks, We are beautiful and unique snowflakes.”

Hutus didn’t vote in the candidate whose platform was “Genocide and low taxes”. They just realized that they had the power and could do the things they had wanted to do all along.

People are full of pent up desires that are just itching to take form. People will take any opportunity to excuse their own behaviour. All this talk of Democracy is worse than Dictatorship, Religion is worse than Atheism is missing the point. People will manipulate things to fulfill their desires.

Look at wars of Christianity. Do these conflicts make Christianity inherently wrong? Jesus said when someone strikes you on your right cheek give him your left cheek to strike. Jesus said blessed are the meek, blessed are the peacemakers.

Look at Socialism. Does the implementation of Socialism make the idea of sharing inherently wrong? If people freely gave up their property for the greater good and everyone worked together, giving to all as they have need, would there be any need to occupy Afganistan, Hungary or Wall Street?

People are selfish, envious, greedy, vain and easily led.

it is unrealistic to expect everyone to be an american. just like its unrealistic to expect the white man to stop chasing after chinese females. and its unrealistic to expect hanjians to stop supporting falun gong

      • Winterb4Spring

Most INappropriate, firstly, to bad-mouth the Falun Gong (again) over some strong personal views on other matters. Secondly, this topic is on Putin-Russia-Election. Thirdly, it is not technically true that “THE white men chases Chinese females”. Another important point, it seems to me, by the look of history, that the communist party possesses every culture out there, destroys the existing ancient culture of the land it possesses, call it its own with “Chinese/Russian/Korean/etc characteristics”, then kill and torture its own people. The “hanjian” aka “traitor” mentioned above seems more related to the communist party. On the contrary, from my observations, Falun Gong has never engaged in violence (besides the few so-called incidents CREATED BY the COMMUNIST party & the infamous/nose digging/song singing/ex President of the commie party, Jiang Zemin, as PROPAGANDA, since other countries around the world have no problems with Falun Gong). Also, anyone, regardless if they are Falun Gong, Christians, Tibetans, democracy activists, AIDS activists, Chinese lawyers, white people, black people, yellow people, purple people, babies, just anyone, who chooses to speak up against injustices by the communist party, is then demonized. When the commie party loves you, it’ll say that you “love the motherland”. When the commie party dislikes you, it’ll say that you’re a “traitor”, “cult”, “running dog”, “anti Chinese”, “anti-China”, etc etc…geeeeezzzzz =.= And it baffles me that this doesn’t happen in any other free (or free-er) countries besides those controlled by totalitarian authorities … **sigh**… themig’s comment –> unrealistic + generalized + discriminatory + hateful + in disguise = possible propaganda = tsk tsk tsk

        • bscalled

@Winterb4Spring – I find your rather long and exhaustive comment, although informative, quite maligned by the Falun Gong. Are you a member of the cult? Is it true their Founder/ Leader/ God believes he can levitate and walk through solid walls? Just wait and see how tolerant the countries that host the Falun Gong now, will be when they start recruiting non-Asians. If you are a member, please don’t bother replying.

this is why American can be perceived to be better than other countries is because of the fact that we have freedom of religion. Americans tolerate Wiccans, Mormons and Scientology – I have no judgement of them regardless of their beliefs. They hurt no one so who cares. Well, that’s debatable as far as the mormons who often have polygamous marriages involving children and cultish behavior. Rather than systematically persecute the entire religion, people who exploit the members of their religion are arrested and jailed.

I have read about some of the things that have happened to falun gong people and I was rather saddened and disgusted. There is no excuse for inhumanity of any sort. People certainly don’t need to be reprimanded online for their spiritual beliefs.

I believe, people in general need something to aspire to, spiritually and so long as it makes the person better, all the good. If not, then that is their choice.

        • Bruce Tutty

Lots of countries have freedom of religion, which includes Muslims, Jews, and atheists….not just the weird cults.

For the 100th time on ChinaSMACK I have made a comment that is not related to America and ended up with people assuming I am American. I am not American, America is also a fucked country. I hate America, death to America. America is the worlds pussy.

Now please stop calling me american. It just shows your ignorance to think everyone who writes in english is american.

“I am a dick and dicks fuck pussy”

Honestly, when looking at inter-human dynamics, the “dick, pussy and asshole” analogy from Team America seems to hold true far more often than cheap profanity should.

If only they had throught of them instead of the Four Humours, then the human soul would be far better understood by now.

U are right Shanpao…Those comments show how much the chinese natizen know about the rest of the world: a few…Of course it’s not their thought, or maybe a little, as they prefer search on internet photos of chinese VIPs than looking for genuine world news, and not just for “tingshuo” (at second hand)

      jesus, get a life

      • Kewell

        ahahah…U r ridicoulus man…

All the people that use internet can have a good knowledge of “what happen in the world”…U just have to search the news…That’s all…Of course it’s not as live in that coutry but is a beginning, and it’s something really useful, because only watching different point of view u can understand if u r doing well or not…
But this must not be your case…

        • White Thrash

Looking for information is just the beginning, as information can be pretty selective and subject to interpretation (ie propaganda).

The only thing you need to know, is that you don’t know and that all your values could be wrong somewhere else…
In other words, you just have to be open enough to understand other people, other civilizations have other standards and beliefs…

I mean, in all honesty, judging by the comments here, chinese people mind tend to be really narrow.
No wonder they always considered themselves to be the center of the world in the “Middle Kingdom”.

      • 山炮 ShanPao

Ah ha ha ha. I would say at least 10% (which is more than in China) but more likely about 60-70% have a good idea what’s going on out there. There are many reasons for this of which some of the most basic include:

        Freedom of the press
        Freedom to ignore the press
freedom to choose which press you read
        unrestricted access to the internet
        freedom of expression/protest
freedom to distribute your own material/leaflets/newspapers etc
EDUCATION NOT CONTROLLED BY GOVERNMENT (textbook content etc)

As I said these are just a few things that we have and the Chinese dont have. I am not saying my country is heaven… certainly not… far from it. It does have its own problems, but at least people have the right to access information and educate themselves on what is happening.

And all this takes place in one of those fucked up African countries the Chinese look down upon in their deluded minds which are a product of their fucked up education and lack of access to information.

Back to the drawing board for you.

Don’t you think it is a little pathetic of you to be so preoccupied with how I might disagree that you preemptively declare you don’t care?

      • 山炮 ShanPao

Ok… and for what reason are you replying my superior brother? Because you ‘dont care’

I am merely saying I already know what your going to say and in what tone your going to write it, so please return to being better than me and be safe in the knowledge that I think your opinion is o’so much more enlightened than mine. I will never understand your point of view because I am not at the same stage of evolution as you… me simple african bushman. So there is no need to reply to me ;-) tuyulater bru!

        • anon

I don’t think I’ve ever replied and then discounted my own reply by mocking indifference. If I didn’t care on some level, I wouldn’t comment.

You flatter me with all of the “superior” and “superiority” talk, but there’s a difference between ME asserting my superiority and YOU asserting my superiority. The more you do the latter, the more it just seems you’ve developed an insecurity.

I know what you’re saying and I’m commenting about why you feel compelled to say it. My comment is that its a bit pathetic. Flattering, but pathetic. Are you really that scared of me possibly disagreeing with you? Are you really that scared of how I might explain my disagreement? Why give me that much power?

You commenting like this is as if you have a guilty conscience, like you’re nervously looking over your shoulder. And at what? At someone who simply disagrees with you over certain issues and doesn’t give a shit if you think the tone employed comes off as arrogant to you, annoys you, or otherwise hurts your feelings?

Stop sniveling. You’ve reduced yourself from a respectable “I disagree with you” to “Waaah, you sound mean!” to “Waaah, anon is a meanie so if he replies to what I said here, I’m going to ignore it!”

          • 山炮 ShanPao

Bru, your the one who seems hyped up. I am constantly writing here with a smirk on my face laughing at the insanity of it all and giving it out in the name of banter and rant. All of my comments contain a certain degree of lunacy and offensiveness. My name here is 山炮 ShanPao – perhaps you dont know what that means, but if you did… then I think you might get it.

Can I spell it out a little clearer now, I am not scared of being ridiculed, this is the internet, I am anonymous, nobody knows who I am, if I wanted I could disappear and come back with a new name in a matter of seconds… Therefore I am not scared of your comments, I am just bored of your comments… the degree of seriousness and level of self righteousness – something I attacked you for before you even commented on one of my posts. Because your clearly someone who is worried about your reputation online (see above rant.) I dont care about my reputation and thats why I have given myself the shameless name of 山炮 – I come here to read the stories, soak up the Chinese comments and take the piss a little bit… In a way you could say I come here for an excuse to take my head out of the books and kick back a little. I could write an essay for you about my opinion on menstruating chickens and their eggs, but I would rather make my point with ease and throw in a few controversial remarks along the way. By addressing you directly in my post I was simply saying I dont want a long essay in response… for I am fucking around anonymously on a website where nobody should be trying to score academic merit with the locals! BANG.

Now breath, I love you really Anon. British?

          • anon

Taking the denial route now? That’s fine. The dumbest mistake to make arguing with another anonymous person online is thinking you’re the only one smirking.

When I’m bored with someone, I don’t usually go out of my way to address them, mention them, or declare I won’t be reading their potential responses.

How do you figure me openly acknowledging that I can come across as arrogant and self-righteous as me caring about my online reputation? With an anonymous screen name no less? One that multiple people on this site use?

You’re confused. You’ve confused my interest in discussion and debate with caring about my reputation. Don’t you think it ironic, hypocritical, and even self-righteous that you think your screen name ShanPao is somehow more anonymous (or “shameless”) versus my screen name of “anon”? We’re both equally anonymous (except I don’t go around declaring where I was born, or what nationality I am NOT caring about my online reputation as NOT American), and I’d argue I’m more so given that I’m not the only one who goes by “anon” here.

Furthermore, don’t you think it ironic, hypocritical, and even self-righteous that you think you come here just to read stories, soak up comments, and take the piss a little? How am I doing anything different? You take the piss against others and I take the piss against you among others. I’m doing fundamentally the same thing you do. You thinking you’re somehow different and above the same reproach is what defines “self-righteous”.

          • 山炮 ShanPao

Haha. Jesus, look at what you just wrote. Fucking relax, you obviously don’t get me or anything I have just been saying. Nice talking to you though chap. I wont respond now unless you CHILL OUT and stop worrying what I think about you and why I think it about you. I am really not that handsome.

          • anon

Fantastic, now try not to be so obsessed with me and my possible disagreement with you that you have to preemptively head me and anyone else off the next time you comment. Have a little confidence in yourself.

  • http://www.mylaowailove.com 陶陶谈老外

It’s rather strange. If you read internet – most Russians hate Putin. And then he gets 65% votes.
Well… maybe it’s because people in villages vote for him, I don’t know.

    • typingfromwork

Yep. The rural vote was crucial for Putin’s rise. They love to see an outwardly strong man leading their country. They are not embarassed at all that said leader looks more like a mob boss- infact it’s a sign of strength to them.

The urbane, more educated people sees him as a manipulative, crass guy who strongarmed his way into office. There is certainly some truth in that (fraud LOL) but these people may also be somewhat snobish towards Putin.

Basically, democracy takes the will of the people, and if the people want this kind of leader then they shall have it. Lord knows the evangelicals in America are constantly trying to elect bible bashing hicks into office. Thankfully they haven’t succeeded- yet (inb4 Bush).

In the Soviet Un…uh…er…I mean in Russia, the tears leaders cry today may be tears shed by citizens tomorrow. On the other hand, when was the last time anyone ever saw a Chinese leader express some emotion?

So kudos to Vlad “the Impaler” Putin. It’ll be interesting to find out if he can keep the Jews at bay. Ever since Stalin tracked down and cured Lev Bronstein south of the Rio Grande, the tribe has been more than a little nervous about their erstwhile “Russian project.” But I expect him to be more than up to the job. In any case, glasnost and perestroika probably won’t be on the agenda anytime soon, although smacking down that light-weight American mulatto will.

Hm. I see that lots of the Chinese commenters don’t like Russia – I always though they were buddies, you know, communists and all that. I was under the impression that if it came down to WW3 that Russia would be China’s only friend, but I guess not.

Speaking of allies, does China have any friendly nations of any consequence? Iran and North Korea?

The best friend of CHina is the USA…As China pays its public dept

      • notorious

america is afraid of china. you should see the pedastal chinese people are put upon when they come up here. You hear many positive stereotypes that often annoy chinese american citizens or students, like “hard working, smart, quiet, humble etc” and then there is always the statement that chinese people are more studious than americans thus working hard to take over the world. america is also fearful that all of our products – nearly ALL are made in China. one would be hard pressed to pick up a product in their home and not find “made in china” on it. So I don’t know if america is a best friend. I think the relationship is good and China benefits. America benefits from the debt China holds. Imagine if they demanded their money today. Talk about economic collapse.

        • In the US there is a level of mistrust towards China, but I would say due to a general lack of understanding of what China has transformed into during the last 30 years. This is due to ignorance but also due to very poor Chinese “PR” skills when it comes to cultural and political exchange. Hopefully this will change and improve over time. I would not equate this lack of understanding with “fear.” There are some political elements in the US that promote fear with the idea of a “China threat” to promote their own agendas such as military spending. But this idea just doesn’t reflect reality. Other than local border disputes with neighbors and the Taiwan issue which only involves the US indirectly, China does not challenge US military hegemony around the world. China’s policy is one of noninterference and economic engagement. The key word here to describe the relationship between the US and China is interdependency, not fear. Yes, “Made in China” is prolific in the US, but why is this a bad thing other than the occasional issue of poor quality Chinese products? This is because the US is China’s number 1 trading partner, and will remain so for many years as the US remains the world’s largest consumer per capita. While China and the US cannot be considered “allies”, their relationship remains mutually positive from a majority of perspectives. Keep in mind too that the majority of business investments in China (Over 80%) remain foreign, most from the US and strong US allies. A sudden stop of trade with the US would crush China’s economy as well. Chinese ownership of US debt is significant only in terms of foreign owned US debt, but not US debt as a whole. The vast majority of US government debt bonds are still owned by Americans. Also China cannot suddenly “demand their money back”… this is a common misnomer. This is not in fact how debt bonds actually work.

          • moop

what exactly is there to misunderstand about the hacking attacks perpetrated by chinese hackers, the staggering amount of intellectual property stolen and copied? what is there to misunderstand about common chinese business practices which rely on bribes and favors? the chinese shouldn’t be trusted and you know it. please don’t pretend when you go outside into the city streets to go shopping or anything else that you don’t think or worry about someone tying to cheat you somehow. the chinese people themselves know that chinese can’t be trusted. they don’t even trust eachother!

          • notorious

Well stated, 豐 . I think whether it is mistrust or fear depends on the person. Americans mention it in passing, almost in an after thought that Chinese people are working harder and that they are in line to become the next super power. They don’t fear China because they know the Chinese government have their hands full oppressing the rights of their own people. What they fear is the fact that we have 400 Billion going out of the country to China and only 54 billion coming in from America exports. This fear stems from the fact that, Americans are losing manufacturing jobs to China. America no longer manufactures anything (technically, very few things), we are in the business of creating DEBT, which is the biggest industry in America and will become its undoing. The other fear is that, with the hundreds of billions America is giving to China for all the products its making, is making the Chinese government richer, thus enabling them to build a formidable military empire. The U.S. Government respect China’s power, which is the reason why it doesn’t get involved in China’s domestic or civil liberty related issues.

The U.S government is very much aware that China has committed acts of war against the U.S. in openly spying on government computer systems, and even attacking it daily with hundreds of viruses – and yet, the U.S remains silent. It fears a war with China.

As for the buying America’s debt, China could easily cash in those bonds.

          • Capt. WED

Notorious, the trade imbalance is -5% of the GDP. I also remember China imports only accounts for 1% or 2% of the total economy.

@Moop, China is going through a phase right now, there is no doubt she will change. Intellectual properties rights, US had the same issues back the early 1900 and late 1800s when it was going through transformation. Do you part and not trust the Chinese then. Moop please do your best to not trust any Chinese. It’s all systems. You can affect an change. If you think it’s an evil system with evil people then do your part ;) Eventually it will reach an equilibrium or something. Boom and Crash or perhaps turn earth into the first Sith empire. There’s always the questions of “what would happen” if China demanded their money back. The truth is that both sides have something the other wants. If China demanded their money back, we could just charge higher fees for Chinese students who study here, higher costs for Chinese visas, and raise tax whatever American goods that are being imported to China.

WTF would Chinese people do without their iPhones?!

Then we’d see who’s crying themselves to sleep.

    • Hongjian

There are some ultra-nationalists and liberals alike, who hate Russia due to different reasons in China. But the vast majority actually wants a sino-russian cooperation against the USA on every level.

After all, China and Russia are diplomatic allies, are both targeted by the USA in political subversion and have their opposition/seccessionists supported by them, have themselves surrounded by ‘missile defense shields against Iran’, and responded with the foundation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to defend themselves against the americunt imperialists.

If WW3 comes down, Russia and China will indeed stand together, since it would be the US who fires the first shot and declares war on both of them, as one would expect from that aggressive fatty.

And then, Russia and China will nuke the fuck out of the USA, which will finally bring peace into the world, with the cancer that is america wiped clean for good.

Imagine a world without America. A world without an aggressive fatty stirring up shit everywhere just to ruin everybody’s lives. This can only be accomplished by a Russo-Chinese alliance. And political decisionmakers in China, as well as Russia, know this.

      • mr. wiener

Unless of course the Chinese start getting ideas about Siberia. All the gold, platinum and oil going to waste. I’m sure the Russians will never miss it. And all that space too! China doesn’t have much more space, They;ll want some living room…….is this starting to sound familiar, or is it too Tom Clancy?

        • Hongjian

          Tom Clancy is an idiot.

China would rather buy Russia’s riches instead of invading them and spend shitload of money and workforce to extract them herself.

This is why China hasnt invaded Africa till now, but only either bought or sent their workers there to extract it. It wouldnt be any difficult at all for China to invade an african country and shoot dead some niggers there. But they wont. The same reason why China wouldnt invade Siberia.

      • You’re living in a pipe dream Hongjian, but it would make for a good American made Hollywood movie for sure!

I personally don’t believe in military conflict with China, they’ll make more money just by buying what they want.

      • Capt. WED

Russia is only doing it for real poltk reasons. In the 90′s they wanted closer ties to the west, the end of the cold war. But they were totally dissed by US, which probably pissed them off. But face it, Russia has way more cultural ties to the west than China and it’s not surprising they’re more interested closer ties with the West rather than China. I hope the trend going forward is more peaceful competition rather than all out conflict, until we can solve our current resource problems and get off this rock. Naw I doubt that will happen.

        • Hongjian

Russia strtched their hand out in the 90′s to the West, but all they did was to push the NATO closer to them, supported Kosovo seperatism against Russia, financed Chechen rebels and gave them the best press in their ‘free media’, and generally built bases and ‘missile defense shields against Iran’ around Russia.

The West just screwed them over and betrayed the trust of the Russians, and of Gorbachev, who got the promise of the west that they WOULDNT push the NATO to their borders. In the end, they still did. The West is a treacherous, pathologically dominance seeking fucker, who wished to eternally keep Russia down, exploiting their riches and destroying their country and economy. No ‘peace beteween democracies’, but only the continuation of the cold war, in the form of economic exploitation and containment.

Luckily, there’s Putin who ended that bullshit and drove his country to a anti-western way of revival. And this way is firmly tied with China, the other very last, truely independent country that can say FUCK YOU to the west and their ugly shemes.

The example of Russia just shows, that the western containment and attacks against China wont stop, even if she would democratize one day. The West wants to have total domination in the world and wont accept an independent China, as they never have accepted an independent Russia, who can strike back and say ‘no’. This is why, for China to be truely secure from the Western aggressors, she must work towards the goal of destroying them completely, rendering them unable to finance rebellions and insurrections everywhere, and unable to wage wars of aggressions against her competitors. Only them, when the last western country is turned into glass, China and Russia could embrace democracy and open political systems, since the evil who would exploit its openness to enslave them, would be dead and unable to go on with their sick rampage of imperialism.

          • Capt. WED

Well what you say does have some truth to them (the reality of human nature sadly). I think though if that is indeed the future of earth I don’t think it would stop at that–half of earth turned to glass. Seriously though, who would want to live in a world like that? That’s beside the point, any nuclear attack by either Russia or China against the West would be the entire world turning to glass. Or maybe some form of exotic weaponry? Hongjian why don’t you dedicate your life to science to make this a reality instead of being mad on Chinasmack all the time?

          • A GUY

            Maybe he will someday.

I think that HONGJIAN is actually a 14 year old white kid in Ohio who has taught himself Chinese.

            Just a theory.

          • Alan

And this way is firmly tied with China, the other very last, truely independent country that can say FUCK YOU to the west and their ugly shemes.

            Except they can’t actually.

What if the EU slapped economic sanctions? What then?

We could just buy/manufacture all our stuff elsewhere….the impact in China would be that Vietnam would become the new power of Asia.

        • http://www.proxyforchina.com/ Rod

I’ve always wondered that about Russia. I mean, sure Russia-US relations aren’t great. But then again, we look like each other, and very often, that’s enough. So if Russia had to choose, between the political similarities of a Russia-China alliance, or a cultural/ethnic similarities of a Russia-Europe-North America alliance, which would they choose?

          What do you think?

      • Dat Ankle

Promise me that you and ShanPao will make a fanfiction of this, Hongjian.

  • http://tronenko.net morphium
    • Andy

Hmm, the procedure was pretty much the same at the embassy in Beijing. Though it seems our votes canceled each other out, since I voted for Putin ;)

      • http://tronenko.net morphium

Why do you say the same? Seems like absolutely not same, since in Shanghai nobody even tried to offer me money to mark Putin’s field. How much did they give you? Have you betrayed motherland for 100 yuan? Or you are mentally retarded? Or you just hate Russia and don’t give a fuck about your country and people there?

Whatever it is, it is not important, anyway no one really counted our votes.

        • Andy

lol, unfortunately, they didn’t give me even 5 kuai so I could eat a bowl of noodles outside :’(

On the other hand, I could ask the same of you, how much are your western masters paying you to oppose Putin? Did you sell out for a hundred green pieces of soon-to-be toilet paper? Or do you just hate Russia and don’t give a crap if it becomes a vassal state to the West?

As you see, this can go both ways. Now, in your honest opinion, do you really think any of the other candidates could do a better job at ruling the country than Putin (setting aside the fact that they had a snowball’s chance in hell of getting elected in the first place)?

In my opinion, a strong leader like Putin is exactly what Russia needs. Sure, he isn’t perfect, and has faults like any other person, but he sure as hell is better than any of the alternatives. Only Putin, ruling with an iron fist, can assure that Russia doesn’t turn into a weak and fractured political entity dominated by the West. “Democracy” isn’t suitable for Russia, it is an alien notion that might work in some countries, but for us, autocratic rule has been the norm throughout history.

Then again, perhaps you’re one of those brainwashed pro-western fellows who wish for a color revolution to take place in Russia. I mean, as long as we get “democracy” and “human rights”, who cares if we turn into another puppet of the NWO, right?

          • http://tronenko.net morphium

Ok. Andy, I believe you are not from Moscow or St Petersburg. Besides, you must be pretty elder than I am. Normally, before I always thought, that people who sincerely voted for Putin are just ignorant and shallow, without education and who have never been abroad. You seem not to be like this.

It is very sad to know, what there are people who thinks that “Democracy isn’t suitable for Russia, it is an alien notion that might work in some countries, but for us, autocratic rule has been the norm throughout history”.

I do have a hope, that once there will be a chance for me to go back to Russia and enjoy “democracy” and “human rights” there. You are destroying my hopes :)

I think that is not the best place for us to continue or discussion. If you want to talk, you know where to find me (You read my blog).

  • MassiveBender

Putin has been the most popular leader in the world consistently for the last ten years according to outside sources, not just those in Russia. He has completely turned Russia around from the 90′s dark age and reasserted Russia’s international clout; that’s why the West slanders him and hates him. If you consider that the CIA and NSA have a budget that is almost as large every other intelligence agency in the world combined then it’s not too far a intellectual leap to believe that they have orchestrated the protests, particularly when external polls have shown that the protests have solidified Putin’s popularity outside Moscow because they know that should Putin be replaced by another corrupt, toadying pushover like Yeltsin then they will return to misery of the 90′s. Compare Putin, who earns $100000 a year and lives in a Moscow apartment with Yeltsin who owned palatial villas on the Cote d’Azur and Tony Blair who charges £250 to have a photo taken with him. Putin has done far more to help the Russian people than any American president since FDR. The Chinese people are just not forced fed the BBC/CNN soma that we, clearly from the comments, so willing lap up.

  • Hongjian

    Democracy is shit and overrated.

Implying you arent all too stupid and ignorant to actually make it work.

Scientists agreed. Dont bother them about it.

    http://www.livescience.com/18706-people-smart-democracy.html

“People Aren’t Smart Enough for Democracy to Flourish, Scientists Say”

And the research paper related to it:

    http://people.psych.cornell.edu/~dunning/publications/pdf/unskilledandunaware.pdf

Enjoy your failed, cancerous system of pretentiousness and masturbation – because this is just about everything you are capable of.

All americunts and democracy supporters, weibo liberals and general faggots should be lined up and shot for polluting the gene-pool with their stupidity.

    • mr. wiener

…We were too stupid for communism too as I recall.

      • White Thrash

in a way, from a logical point of vue, it’s true democracy is not the best way of governing, as a mass of less intelligent people impose their will on the more intelligent ones.
Result : the mass is happy, but stupid decisions are made and the whole society goes downhill.

However, hongjian is just another individual in the first aforementioned category, so…

      • Hongjian

Democracy is the new Communism. Or rather, it is the Communism of the 21th Century.

Cant work, wont work but this doesnt hinder certain western ideologically fanatic nations and people to call out for world-revolution and plunge humanity into Chaos and Anarchy by sponsoring civil wars and directly invade others to force this shitty political system down their throats, only to cause millions of casaulties.

Democracy and Communism have in common, that both are born out from liberal humanist thinking, both are idolizing certain ideologic axiomatic bullshit, and both are preachy as fuck and dream of a ‘perfect world’ where everyone thinks, acts and worships the same, liberal ‘god’ – Democracy Über Alles! – achieved with the means of violence and a world revolution that will spread this cancerous ideology even into the caves of the Hindukush Mountains of Afghanistan forcing it into the minds of illiterate sandniggers and sheepherders.

And just like Communism, Democracy must be crushed and destroyed like a global plague.

True conservativism (not that neocon bullshit, I speak of the brand of conservativism practized by the likes of Prince Metternich, The Kings of Prussia and the Russian Czars) and authoritarian technocracy are the last hope of humanity to push back the cancerous tide of western sponsored decay and turmoil.

        • mr. weiner

Always good fun, let us speak the names of certain realpolitic types so that Hongjian can beat off and leave us and retire to recover from multiple orgasms:
          Machiavelli
          Bismark
          Metternich
          Kissinger
Nietzsche [just for shits and giggles]
Was it good for you too honey?

          • Hongjian

            Good that you mentioned Nietzsche.

Personally I loved his parables in “Also sprach Zarathustra”, in which he mentioned exactly the inherent problem of the western world today: That is the idoltry of moral and ethical values.

Your freedom and humanist values may be great and all, but this all turns into shit the moment you worship it as a stinking dogma and idol, trying to force it down everyone’s throats by force, while accepting no alternative values beside or before them.
Even the best values turns to turd when you wage ideologic crusades for its sake, aimed to root out competitive thoughts and replace them with your own “superior” values.
Thus, democracy turned into “democracy”, with warriors sworn to its sake when picking up the sword to behead infidels with, just like communist soldiers being sworn to communism, and crusaders sworn to christianity during their respective times and ages.

This is the curse of the western culture that was dominated by monotheistic thought – You shall have no other gods before me. God has been just replaced by “democracy”, but the means, the violence and the degree of fanatism of spreading His words to infidels remained the same throughout the ages.

            tl;dr

You fuckers have to learn that you are just a turd among more shit. No “american/western/european exceptionalism” – only a turd amongs turds.

        • Bruce Tutty

Its easier to crush something that no-one wants, but it’s like trying to convert the UK to Islam…it just ain’t gonna happen, not matter how much you hope for it.

I’m afraid that a half-working democracy is still preferable tothe alternatives.

    • A GUY

Wait if Democracy goes away I can’t be pretentious and masturbate?!

Truly Democracy is the only system for a world with an Internet.

      • themig

if that is definiton of democracy then, china is already democracy with their internet spouting trolls that outnumber american trolls by 50 million users

    • White Thrash

      quoting Hongjian :
“China and Russia could embrace democracy and open political systems, since the evil who would exploit its openness to enslave them, would be dead and unable to go on with their sick rampage of imperialism.”

Can you see what’s wrong ? or is it me ?

      • Hongjian

        “Democracy” =/= Democracy.

One is western sponsored rebellions and bullshit for the sake or furthering their masturbationary dreams of ideologic dominance, and the other is legit power to the people.

And if China would become democratic one day, she must first destroy all those who would take advantage of her democracy and open society, to turn her into the same kind of puppet and political yesmen as Japan, always acting against her own economic and political interests for the sake of pleasing her americunt masters.

This is no democracy – this is “Democracy”.

          红贱货?

        • Alan

This is no democracy – this is “Democracy”.

What on earth are you babbling on about now?

Democracy, means government for the people, by the people.

I prefer and will never accept, partly due to my youth, capitalism and liberal democracy, over a communist state anyday.

Ever grown up in a country and been told where you have to go to school?

That you can’t visit your relatives just a few miles away?

That you can’t listen to music that you want to listen to.

Yeah, yeah, democracy isn’t perfect, but it’s better than communism for one simple reason, people have the freedom to choose what they can do and where they can go. Money itself isn’t enough, as you will find out to your own detriment.

    • DRaY

      @Hongjian

Some how this reminds me of a book I read, part of it there was a man asking the other that if there was a priest, a king and a rich man all wanting the other 2 dead. Then there was a sellsword, a nobody came in.

The king offer the sellsword title and said it was his duty to his country and his king to kill the other 2. The richman offer him money and said he can have all he desires if he kill the other 2. The priest said god demands it and he will find salvation and go to heaven if he kill the other 2.

    Which would the sellsword obey?

The moral of the story I realized isn’t the sellsword’s choice but that power is in the hands of the nobodies, but most of the time they don’t realize it.

It would be naive to think they could switch to a “transparent and idealistic democratic system”.

The transition can only be slow to be able to be smooth.
