That woman makes a post and I feel absolutely nothing. Why don’t you as the Public Security Bureau just respond? Instead, what you people did is what makes me feel panic.

I heard that three Chinese officials had sex with two zebras and a monkey. Is it true?

    • Maul555

That is absolutely without a doubt 100% true. I heard it from all the officials, all of them…

    • mr.wiener

With a monkey? ..I should coco.

There is a rumor that sock-puppetry is not allowed.
            Actually it’s not a rumor, it’s a fact.

Who downvoted this? Ok maybe one or two rabidly nationalistic fevers running high but 14?! Sense of humour people!

It’s some kind of wumao thing.

        • Refractions_of_Error

Thanks for the clarification Biggj. I almost forgot how it all works. As Refrigerator J mentioned, I suppose this kind of thing undermines the underpinnings of engineered harmony so they have to downvote as opposed to confronting you with a valid premise.

Because it’s not harmonious… with socialism… with Chinese characteristics

this type of people also should get a lesson.
though i disagree what the police done, people bullshit online should get fined too.

    • Alex

      You’d get death penalty.

      • vincent

        hahaha Amen brother!

        • linette lee

You really love picking on bunny don’t you. You love to be tortured by her? Bunny is good at torturing men. lol

          • vincent

lol if by torture you mean being forced to listen to incoherent babble and ramblings, then she’s an expert at that. In truth I just wish she would at least read what she writes before pressing the post button.
If she posted something relevant to the topic and noninflammatory I really wouldn’t hassle her, but c’mon Linette I’m sure you have read her replies and you know she just posts rubbish sometimes and most of her replies are juvenile insults to people who have replied to her.
I really have nothing against her as a person and wish her a good life but she seriously needs to tone it down a bit.

          • linette lee

In this case, Bunny probably didn’t word it probably or understand the laws in other countries and what is commonly practiced in other countries. She can easily word it this way by saying all those who create false rumors that is defamatory and cause damage to another party on the internet should be hold accountable and sued punished. Instead of all those who bullshxt online should be fined.

You have to understand she is not extremely familiar with the laws in other countries and even though her English is pretty good it is not her first language. So don’t be so hard on her.

          • vincent

I’m not getting on her case for this article, it’s the previous one, and you know it isn’t just me either, she is really rude at times, English is not my mothertongue either Linette but that doesn’t mean I’d go to a Chinese website and make comments unless I was well versed in the language.
I will take ur advice though and won’t be too hard on her in the future, but I do enjoy the retorts she makes hahaha

          • linette lee

Your wife is pretty. You are pretty too. hahhaa…..lol. Just kidding. But your wife is pretty.

          • mwanafa

And as long as everyone can see who upvoted, I guess we have the right to see who downvoted, if you can guess who downvoted just upvote me.

          • Germandude

Wait, you can see who voted on comments?

          • bprichard

You can see who upvoted, but not who downvoted. Just hover your mouse over the up caret.

          • Germandude

Weird. Doesn’t work for me… Do I need to click sth?

          • bprichard

You shouldn’t have to click anything. What browser are you using? Might want to try it in a different one, if it’s not working for you. Works okay on Chrome for OSX.

          • vincent

Just hover the mouse pointer over the upvote icon and you should be able to see who upvoted that particular comment, I’m using Chrome btw so I’m not sure if it’s something that behaves differently with other browsers.

          • Germandude

I am using chrome with tons of addons. Disqus has always been a problem with it. Not an important issue though as I don’t really care. Was just wondering as I haven’t seen it before.

          • Jeffrey Jones

Could be, not working in iceweasel (firefox spinoff) in linux. Will check chrome.

          • Germandude

You should be a bit more careful with posting pics of yourself or your wife here. Remember: NSA (and others) is watching you.

This is not intended to be a threat or sth, just a friendly advice.

You 2 make a pretty couple nevertheless. Peace.

          • vincent

Thanks for the advice Germandude :) I really appreciate the concern, and thanks for the compliment too :)

          • Zappa Frank

haha.. you’re funny.. don’t worry i got no intention to try to get your attention, i live something like 10.000km from you, why should i. By the way, it’s funny that in your opinion if someone try to get your attention is a loser, you don’t have a good opionion of yourself right? I didn’t understand what’s the relation with arabs and middle east people. However don’t mind, i don’t want to marry you..

          • vincent

Pretend cute eh? Now you’re really grasping at straws hahaha, seriously Eattot I don’t care about your personal life but keep opinions about my wife to yourself, I certainly didn’t ask for them, and for the last time I’m not an ARAB.

In truth she’s a poor girl, we shouldn’t make fun of her, she cannot even decide her husband by herself. I wonder what else she cannot decide.

          • vincent

Err biggj is the “hairy beast” and I’m the “ugly hairy smelly arab” as Eattot so eloquently put it, I’d like to say but then Eattot would use more personalized insults I’m half Singaporean while the other half shall remain undisclosed lol, and I have Portuguese roots. Hope that’s enough info :)

          • Zappa Frank

oh yes i’ve confused that “hairy … something” that she likes to use so much.. ok that’s enough thanks :)

          • mr.wiener

Will have to post my picture tomorrow. I look like Grizzly Adams.

          • Zappa Frank

hey, i was waiting your picture… where is it?

          • KAMIKAZIPILOT

I’m just wondering but how can you be half Singaporean? Isn’t Singaporean a nationality, not a race or ethnic group? It’s like saying someone is half American or half Canadian.

          • vincent

Err I don’t want to be too specific, in case Eattot starts making more race specific insults so I left it ambiguous on purpose, I’m only stating the nationality of my parent, currently she thinks I’m an Arab so let’s keep it that way. My dad is Singaporean so I’m not entirely sure how to classify myself.

          • Mateusz82

People say they’re “half Chinese”. Asia is a continent, yet people say “half Asian”. It’s equally stupid, but still common.

          • 二奶头发

Then just ask them..what half of you is asian upper or lower?

          • Refractions_of_Error

            Consider their parents’ nationality.

          • Mighty曹

The other half would be Indian heritage?

          • vincent

You’re a sharp one, but now Eattot is going to use it against me, I’ve seen how Indians get a bad name what with all the going on’s and some of the articles I’ve seen on this site don’t paint the place in a good image either, I’ve never even lived there, sigh stereotyping is a bitch…

          • Mighty曹

Stereotyping is a clear sign of ignorance. So let her display her lack of knowledge of the world and look foolish.

          • Robert Rou

A clear sign of ignorance and yet you stereotype Chinese men? In SF of all places?

          • Mighty曹

I stereotype Mainland Chinese. Men and women alike. Regardless of my location.
What’s your stereotypical view of SF?

          • Robert Rou

Lol. Too many SF transplants, that’s for sure.

          • Mighty曹

I’m curious. SF transplants in China?

          • Robert Rou

Nope, you read it right the other way.

          • Mighty曹

Nope, LA is where all the transplants are. It’s silicone city! haha!

          • Robert Rou

            Indeed!

          • Mighty曹

Btw, that was my stereotypical view of LA, Vegas and Miami.

          • Robert Rou

Nothing wrong with Indian. Plenty of good-looking, intelligent ones too. Indian food is great, and Gandhi was one cool dude.

          I always wondered about that…

Strange how they share the same meaning. I guess the leaders though that when people start asking too many questions then are starting too many problems.

It really makes sense in the classroom when you teach English here too. Maybe they are hearing… “Does anyone here have any “problems?” And if you raise your hand, then it makes you look like have “problems”.

Which is why they never seem to have “questions” as much as they should…

You’re an idiot. The person was asking a question that could easily be answered with a simple “yes” or “no.” Asking a question in and of itself is not rumor mongering. The police were incredibly heavy-handed in their reaction. If only they had the same bravery for stopping a murder in progress as they were for stopping rumors on the internet. :/

The china gov’t should stop using computer and internet and ban all China Chinese from using it. Because using internet computer can get someone arrested.

    • Repatriated

Apparently, they (gov’t) consider the internet to be their worst enemy. Word of mouth can only travel so fast…the net can spread (rumors or truths) too fast for their liking.

If they arrest me it stops being a rumour so why should I be under arrest? It’s completely flawless.

  • biggj

China will soon have something like Vietnam has now. They banned everyone from sharing pretty much all information except personal information. Like any links to news site or any type of thing like that is illegal now. So any talk about anything other than personal is pretty much illegal. At least they can use facebook.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-23925327

    • linette lee

Why? Vietnam is under dictatorship? I didn’t know that.

      • biggj

No, they have the one party deal like china. They put people in jail like chinese does for blogging or whatever. …..Commies…..

      • hess

It’s been since the communist north won the war..

        • linette lee

Since the communist north won the war? Was Vietnam ever a nation of democracy? Even if china didn’t assist Vietnam to win the war against USA, Vietnam is still not a democratic nation. It was never and probably never will.

          • hess

            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Vietnam#Politics

And i wouldnt say that Vietnam won the war cause they were backed by other countries, they won the war because Washington pussied out.

          • linette lee

I really wish washington pussie out Syria. I wish USA can stop meddling in other countries political problems. Like what they are doing in syria now and back then in Vietnam and north korea. USA needs to stop constantly being the international police. They need to focus more in their own economy and domestic problems.

          • Gordon Gogodancer

Yes..America is one fucking international bully. And they are fucking up other countries a lot. However i’m quite ashamed to admit that i still would prefer have the US being the bully rather than China.

          • linette lee

China never send military power halfway across the world to intervene with other countries politics. And China intervene with military assistance in those wars like Vietnam and North korea was because USA got too close to the border of China. You want to see USA continue to send their boys to die for other countries? Let the people of Syria die for syria. It’s their own country and it’s worth fighting for. Let the people of Iraq, Vietnam and North Korea die for their own freedom. It’s their country and it’s worth fighting for.

          • Probotector

“China never send military power halfway across the world to intervene with other countries politics. And China intervene with military assistance in those wars”

Ever heard of the First World War? The Beiyang government, led by Duan Qi Rui declared war on the Central Powers in 1917, sending soldiers to fight in France and Serbia.

          • There’s nothing wrong with assistance when it comes to freedom fighting. Even in the American Revolution, the colonists didn’t do it all by themselves.

          • linette lee

People fighting for freedom from a political party they don’t agree with. It’s like that through out the history. If the colonists didn’t win they will still be under British. It will just be different instead of being America it will be UK. Is it better or worst no one can say and we will never know.

          • No, the point is, it wasn’t only American colonists and Natives fighting the British. The French joined in at one point, and Spain helped fund everything in secret. Yeah, a country is worth fighting for, but that doesn’t mean that it’s cheapened if they get help from other nations or groups.

This isn’t me suggesting the US or UK should get into a fight in Syria. Just saying, the whole “let the Syrians die in Syria” isn’t very nice or following any historical trend when it comes to revolutions or civil wars.

          • linette lee

Also USa constantly being criticized for their actions during the Vietnam war like agent orange and all the other crimes they committed to the locals over there. Many Vietnamese don’t think highly of USA and usa is being hated. And the middle east countries people just HATE America. Why make so many enemies? And now Koreans have the wealth and military power to combat North korea so why get involved? Why should China and USA get involved getting their men killed and the financial burden? Koreans don’t think highly of USA and China gov’t neither.

            Good intention bad outcome.

          • hess

If countries didnt help other countries in times of war youd be speaking japanese right now

          • linette lee

YOu really think little Japan can control China for long?

          • biggj

If no one intervened they could have. Not today, but back then they could have.

          • hess

Really? REALLY?! You think the US backing up South korea was a bad thing? You’re a horrible fucking person

          • linette lee

You crazy. If North and South Korea were never separated they will be different today. You can’t say it will be better or worst it will just be different.

          • linette lee

American military intervention to other countries politic = good intention bad outcome. 好心做壞

          • Robert Rou

You might be thinking of Cuba and Iran. Both democracies, both felled by military coups, then counter-coups. Vietnamese communists wanted independence from France as they were a colony.

  • Sanejing

Maybe this is just propaganda to deter people from from starting more serious rumors in the future and Zhao X is actually a woman of the night hired for five days of baijiu fueled sex by the police officers to keep up the appearance of an actual detention.

    • Gordon Gogodancer

      sounds possible

    • David S.

When you write propaganda, you mean like…a rumour?

Fighting fire with fire, I get that. The part of your post about sex fuel though, it’s like using fire to fight the fire which fights the fire. Hardcore fire fighting! I like it.

  • Alex

So what happens when the government lies to the shitizens? Like not long ago they used a pic and a story(with minor variations, but same pic) from 2006 to use it on “news” of an arrest against prostitution a few months ago.

So… all 15 days to prison + fine?

    • TJDubs

Yes. Arrest all employees of Xinhua and People’s Daily for posting false information.

    • slob

The day they crackdown on official newspaper and media sources spreading bullshit information is the day you’re going to see an entry in the Guinness Book of Records for the most temporary workers fired in one day.

  • Repatriated

Probably the real story here goes something like this:

Some “official’s” kid intentionally or unintentionally killed someone with a car…and they are totally paranoid that the “official coverup” can’t happen if it makes the news…so….are putting “official gag orders” on anyone that happens to talk about it before the “official coverup” can be made to happen and said official’s “official spoiled brat” is off with a slap on the wrist.

  • Robert Rou

So was the rumor false? Was it malicious? Was there a reckless disregard for the truth?

    • POS

How about this rumor: your lord and savior Mao was a STD infested pedophile?

        • POS

An article talking about the narcissistic pedophile “Great” Helmsman? Guaranteed its blocked.

    • POS

Why is it easy to envision Rou as one of these sheep. “Mao gave me herpes, look at me I’m a Chinese patriot. You Westerners just can’t understand China”. Nope I guess not haha

“Once, Dr. Li recalls, Mao sent him one of his sexual partners, a young woman who had come down with trichomonas vaginalis, which is sexually transmitted. Dr. Li treated her and several others who got the disease.

“The young women were proud to be infected,” he writes. “The illness, transmitted by Mao, was a badge of honor, testimony to their close relations with the Chairman.””

    • POS

LMFAO, I can see why this guy is your hero! Madame Chiang you aint got nothing on the Mao’ster!

“Mao never bathed or even washed his hands or face. Dr. Li says that during the day his bodyguards went into the room and wiped his body, his hands and his face with hot towels. He never brushed his teeth, which Dr. Li says were coated with a green patina. Mao’s habit, shared by many peasants in China, was to wash his mouth in the morning with tea and then to eat the tea leaves. When, once, Dr. Li suggested to him that he should use a toothbrush, Mao’s reply was, “A tiger never brushes his teeth.””

i’m not sure, can you tell me more about this?

      • narsfweasels

Sorry, no, I was clearly making up a rumour to destabilise the CPC because I am a white Westerner fearful of China’s rise.

I’m going to go and beat myself half to death for being so unharmonious.

        • POS

China Basher! You cannot see the brilliance of Mao Zedong our pedophile king and god?

          • narsfweasels

Yeah, I’m a China-basher too, I should just go ahead and beat myself all the way to death. I’m clearly beyond redemption.

          • POS

Bash is too violent, how’bout Bang… China Banger?

          • narsfweasels

Nah, the accepted term is “bashing” it gives the right negative connotation – for example the traditional “bible basher” implying a dogmatic and unheeding loyalty to a religion. In this case the religion becomes an irrational fear and need to attack China, while smarter people look on in depressed incredulity that I’m allowed to fill the internet with my obviously biased agenda against China.

Now: leave me alone, I’m trying to kill myself while “playing hide and seek”

          • connie

            I believe you mean “bible-thumping.”

Bible-thumping – denoting a person who expounds or follows the teachings of the Bible in an aggressively evangelical way: a Bible-thumping evangelical Protestant.

          • mr.wiener

            It means the same thing.
English people, Australians, Kiwis and Saffas [South Africans] are more likely to use the expression “Bible bashing/Bible basher”.

          • connie

Thank you for the point of information.

If I go to England or Australia, I will have to learn a “foreign” language. :)

          • Jeffrey Jones

England was the country that spawned the language, and the aussies also speak it quite well, with quite a lot of humour peppered in as well. Why would you have to learn a “foreign” language? Devils bloody cheek!!!

          • connie

Jeffery, note the smilie face at the end of my sentence to mr. wiener.

I was using that figure of speech called “irony” that the English are well known for.

American-English and British-English have a number of differences, but together this makes English a very powerful language.

          • Refrigerator Jones

i tried China Banger, once. Mini sausages in potatoes. Was delicious.

    • Refrigerator Jones

Was that a question you asked? Police are coming for you, they are. Because nothing else they have to do.

  • xiaode
  • Mateusz82

So, the Chinese government actively uses police to stamp out intellectual curiosity and being informed. Way to improve your country there.

    • Marcus Black

That might not be as bad as you think with such a population size.

      • Mateusz82

A huge population kept ignorant is a bad thing. It makes it easier for the government to stay in power, but cripples any progress for the people.

  • Ami

I heard Chinese police officers are the best in the world, is it true?

    • Probotector

The best at dereliction of duty, yes.

  • moldavidian

Could it be that there was a murder in Louzhuang but because it was supposed to be kept secret, the police arrested her? Are there not government cover-ups in every country? Only asking questions… no rumors here, right?

  • dumbledore

Disturbing law. I don’t think it would hold up in the West.

    • Suicidal Tendency

In “West” you only have diffamation instead of rumors.

But we have a way better system to associate anyone doing anything with some kind of terrorist activity.

Oh look United Kingdom freedom of speech.

Oh look yet more sexual perverts from British TV.

FACEBOOK AND TWEETER. No freedom of speech.

Second man arrested over Facebook posts about Michael Le Vell trial

“A man has been arrested for allegedly revealing the identity of the
girl who claims Corrie star Michael Le Vell sexually abused her.

The 45-year-old was held in relation to a post on Facebook.

Greater Manchester Police said a man from the Trafford area was
arrested today on suspicion on breaching the Sexual Offences Act, which
gives sex abuse victims anonymity for life.

He has since been released on bail.

Le Vell, better known as Coronation Street’s Kevin Webster, is on
trial at Manchester Crown Court accused of 12 child sex offences,
including five counts of rape, three of indecent assault, two of sexual
activity with a child, and two of causing a child to engage in sexual
    activity.”
