Suspected CPPCC Member Smashes Kunming Changshui Airport Departure Gate Due to Missed Flight

Recently, the internet exposed a Yunnan province Shizong county Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) member smashing a departure gate after missing his plane. Today, the Shizong county CPPCC office responded, confirming that the person seen in the video is CPPCC Shizong county 8th committee member Yan Linkun, and that Yan’s act of vandalism was the act of an individual. With regards to this, the Shizong county CPPCC supports the airport security’s lawful investigation and handling of Yan’s behavior.

Martial arts master!!!

vilyon:

I recommend everyone ding [upvote] this up, don’t cai [downvote]. This is their inherent nature [referring to government officials].

安^air:

How come there’s no more at the end? Were there no police to come put a stop to it???

小宇宙1088:

95% of the people have not seen a ballot in their lives. Where did these scum come from?

寂寞是你大爷:

Via money and connections, you don’t even know this? Time to make this more well known.

ォ萁ぃ實ι想找菗:

What the fuck is the security guard on the side doing? Haha.

拓朴国内营销中心:

Is the security guard paid just to watch the show?

饬憾尛浩:

A bunch of airport security just standing on the side watching. The Heavenly Kingdom sure is incredible!!!

Age、: (responding to above)

Of course, with this kind of thing, security check personnel weren’t going to handle it anyway. What if the guy goes crazy and starts attacking people. The airport isn’t going to compensate their workers much in medical expenses, so ultimately the one who suffers is yourself.

上流农民:

Those people wearing hats in the end, are they airport security or what? Not a single person went forward to stop it. And with the child there with his parents doing this, I bet he’ll act like this in the future too.

363600926: (responding to above)

Exactly, those in the end should be security guards, are they all useless?

Age、: (also responding to 上流农民)

Those are the safety/security check personnel, the security check personnel aren’t responsible for this, so they can only wait for the police to come.

MAXIAOFEI9:

This isn’t the first time something has happened at this airport.

赤色之焰:

I don’t get what’s happening, what’s the situation?

burgudborjigin:

If this were in the United States, he would’ve been shot dead on the spot long ago!!

lindy328:

A good opportunity to be upgraded ruined by the airport, could he not be angry?

Airport passengers produce geniuses…

The quality of the glass door isn’t bad, eh?

【《缘》】:

You thought that was your private plane? Where you could be late and have the plane wait for you?

神的光辉:

What a strange country, where airports don’t even have police.

AAAAAA789QWE:

The characters [attitudes] of Kunming Airport staff is not good. My impression after having been there twice.

2890359:

With this, do you say it is the airport or the person who is in the wrong?

ォ萁ぃ實ι想找菗:

I’m guessing it was definitely the airport’s fault, otherwise the passenger wouldn’t have been so out of control, and no one stopping him…is because they don’t have the confidence of being in the right.

星际老女孩:

Two children, violation of the One-Child Policy?

酒香梦醉刀:

The police should stop it. Afraid of him knowing martial arts? If you can’t stop him, then get ten of you against one of him…

minijiqi:

CPPCC member what? Whoever picked him is whoever should be responsible [for this]. That said, I’ve never even heard of his name before.

2890359:

Well-smashed!

夏天々纬度:

Now he’s definitely not going to get where he wants to go, acting all tough and mighty… Either way, however much he breaks is however much he’ll have to pay, and he may even be detained/arrested…

陳悅哲YO:

Nobody stopped him? Probably thinking they can get a new one [computer]. Then when getting the receipt, they can add an extra 0.

爱美国胜过爱老婆:

Haha, how is that door so strong? Can’t be broken in?

王子君君:

It’s fast-forwarded a bit… feels a bit like a Charlie Chaplin silent film.

翱游星空:

Recently, the “Yunnan province Shizong county Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) member smashing a departure gate after missing his plane” exploded online. The Yunnan province Shizong county CPPCC office issued a response on the 22nd that through confirmation by the Shizong county CPPCC office, the person in the video is CPPCC Shizong county 8th committee member Yan Linkun, who is currently the vice-chairman of the Guangdong Fengle Group Yunnan Mining Limited Company.

cong0715:

His wife and child also participated in the smashing, so you know this family has already gotten used to doing whatever they want and getting their way wherever they are from. Sad.

zyzlywq:

You yourself were late thus missing your plane, so what does it have to do with anyone else? Garbage.

银弹哥:

Those security guards should be fired.

脸乃身外物丶:

Give sister [referring to self] an AK-47. Sister will go spray them, just like CS 1.6.

tangjun886:

The customer is god. If your airport dares to not board God for departure, how can you blame others for smashing you?

Angel№神话:

You’re just stupid. A country has its laws. A business has its rules. They’re already no longer boarding people, yet you insist on boarding? If you’re god, then sorry, this is a god-restricted area.

wocymxpbsa:

Would you dare do this in America? You’d be immediately shot dead.

山下的人1612:

How come we don’t have any guns, tazers, and the like…?

Mrchi: (responding to above)

Even if they had them, would they dare use it? These things are only effective when used on the lowly people [not government officials].

行鸢:

The security guards were hired for nothing.

那谁家那谁:

Though it’s wrong, but the way certain businesses — especially monopoly businesses — handle thing is also indeed often maddening. Actually, it’s also because the person in the video is suspected of being a CPPCC member [government official]. I bet if it were an ordinary person, the people who would be against [his actions] would definitely be much less than this.

战国大将军:

Men who bully women, aren’t men!

月馥:

Simply being a cock. If you don’t have money, then abide by the [stated departure] times. If you have money, then go buy a private plane, you cock.

小甜舔:

I truly hope this kind of garbage will behave this way when they go to American airports, and best if they also don’t understand English… heh heh.

glorias1983:

Is security not going to deal with this situation?

Angel№神话: (responding to above)

It’s not that they don’t deal with it, it’s that no one dares to deal with it.

What airport temper tantrums have you personally witnessed?

  • vincent

    What a dickhead, promote him!

  • BiggJ

“If this were in the United States, he would’ve been shot dead on the spot long ago!!”

    You got that right buddy.:)

What a cock sucker….really…the sad thing is no one did anything. Not one fucking person.

Note to self: Never hire chinese security guards…..or chinese in general. They are completely fucking useless.

    • Irvin

Oh don’t say that, chances are 90% of the things you’re using including the pants you’re wearing is made by chinese. Even if this isn’t true for you it is true for alot of people. Your sentiments may go far beyond your intended target.

      • BiggJ

Yeah you’re right. I would get chinese to do mindless, monotonous, repetitive jobs. They are great at that. They are good at making quantity…quality on the other hand…chinese suck at that. You say a lot of people have chinese things….that just means alot of people have a lot of shit in their house that’s all. cheap shit. Only poor people have chinese shit.

I did change my comment though…not all chinese are useless. But don’t expect me to hire a chinese security guard, lawyer, doctor pretty much anything that involves the least little bit of free thinking. If I need someone to screw the ends of 100,000 flashlight on for me….then Sum Ting Wong is the man for the job.

        • pimpinbear

..screw the ends of 100,000 flashlight on for me…

and even that they mess up somehow from time to time..:-))

          • MonkeyMouth

maybe he means the ‘Fleshlight’. google that if you dont know what it is….. and the Sum Ting Wong is damn funny…. kinda like Tap Sum Bong

          • BiggJ

Kim Bong Un is good one too. :)

        • Hongwu Emperor

God complex, thinking ‘one’ people is better than ‘another’ people for doing a job…

Besides, the chinese weren’t the ones who invented the bloody industrial revolution, which basically consisted in repetitive tasks in a factory. =)

          • dwqdw wdwqdqwd

White people seem to do a better job inventing stuff like: computers, recorded music, movies, TV, radio, cameras, telephones, mobile telephones, light bulbs, cars, modern rockets, space crafts, satellites, airplanes, skyscrapers, reinforced concrete, printing, glasses, contact lenses, microwave oven, metallurgy, the bulk of all science (metallurgy, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, medics, astronomy + everything else that is regarded as science), lasers, nuclear energy, AC, refrigeration, democracy, and it just goes on.

It’s basically everything, all made by WHITE PEOPLE. And nothing by CHINKS or any other race other than…white people…

I don’t give a shit if you feel this FACT is inappropriate, because I do not think so, I’m pretty glad it is a fact actually, because I happen to be white too, it’s like I won the god damn lottery. Tough shit if you’re not white though, but that’s not my problem, I guess you just have to suck it up and cry a little.

          • Hongwu Emperor

I simply don’t care what f*king stupid thing one or another person invented. besides, if it was up to me none of this would ever exist so…

I basically don’t care about those inventions, that science or any stupid thing present in the modern world that doesn’t relate to the ancestors or the way of the ancients. like I say, put that in my hands and we’re back to the Han. period.

Like it or not, I wont cry a bit, in fact I’ll even laugh so proud I am that none of our ancestors created those stupid shit. Besides,no matter what ‘race’ or ‘ethnicity’ invented it, but nowadays Asia [spec S. korea,China,Japan,Taiwan etc] ‘rules’ great part of those industries. So deal with it racist vermin. EVEN in modernity Asia finds a way to adopt and strike back, that’s why your people is sucking made in china products, japanese pop culture, and S Korean cars…

So what if you invented this or that?? Cai Lun invented paper and I’m fucking proud of it. good for the ‘shi’ to write cool calligraphy or poems in it!!!

While you guys invented the shithole industrial revolution leading to the crap modern world and stupid consume philosophy. and putting technology in an altar, instead of the ancestors and stuff.

          • BiggJ

What fucking time period are you from? Every single comment from you is some shit about “fuck the future and prey to the ancestors or about the ming ting tang bing ling jing dynastys” But yet here you are using internet and computer and cell phones everyday. You can’t live in the past buddy. You can think the past was cool but if you don’t conform to the future then you will never be happy with anything.

          • KAMIKAZIPILOT

“fuck the future and prey to the ancestors or about the ming ting tang bing ling jing dynastys”

ROTFL!!! So true, I think he want’s to go back living in the forbidden city without electricity or running water, use animals as transport all because of his admiration of “traditional values”. He doesn’t want to face the fact that all cultures around the world are constantly changing, sometimes for the better, sometimes for worse. To be fair, the guy above him sounds like a jackass, I wanna fart on his face.

For some reason I’m probably the only one who thinks your avatar is hilarious.

        • letmethink

And of course every single American is obese and addicted to shopping at Walmart, too. Probably shouldn’t hire them either.

          • BiggJ

Yeah you’re right. Are you trying to say im American?? I love how one comment against chinese people and it’s automatically an american who said it. lol. When I buy something and it turn out to be a peice of shit or break, I just assume a chinese person made….100% of the time I’m right though. hahah

            And to be fair:

again with the ‘monkey’ slurs…. watch it, dude!! hah

    • thmswhnr

I think it’s a staffing problem rather than a general cultural one.

There are plenty proactive, aggressive, often violent security personnel employed as plainclothes police officers in Beijing. The perceived risk that a spontaneous protest at Tiananmen or Wangfujing poses is significant enough to warrant splurging on personnel that will actually do something about a disturbance.

In places like airports, the perceived risk of a real threat are slim to none, so they can just hire useless drones and dress them in security uniforms and be fine 99% of the time.

      • don mario

if they didnt know the guy was official, yes. if they did know it was, then no.

        • thmswhnr

Good point. I guess if someone has the gall to act that way, you can assume he’s an official, and that you’ll get sent to RTL if you touch him.

i swear that if i was there, i would have tackled him

    • y.m.

      guns should be banned

      • Brett

They are already banned in China. So where, and why should they be banned?

    • A Chinese security guard once stole my cat from my apartment. Didn’t steal anything else, but stole my cat. It was just a stray kitten I found and raised, so it was of no particular value other than just being my cat. The “investigation” found him unlocking my apartment door (obviously while I was away), walking in, and walking out with the cat…after he had already quit. They just threw up their hands and said “welp, nothing we can do”…about this obviously criminal security guard.

      • linette lee

oH….my goodness. Your poor cat. :( Your security guard ate it. He was hungry.

        • xiaohouzi

That was my first thought too. I guess you can’t be too careful in China when you have a cat. Best to keep them away from the windows and out of sight. Sorry for your loss.

        • It’s not like there was a shortage of cats around town or anything. The receptionist girls on the bottom floor told me later that he had claimed he found the cat and planned on giving it to his sister, who loved cats. Either way…why did he ignore my laptop and everything else? Why just take my cat? I really don’t understand it.

          • linette lee

Your security guard is a catnapper!

          • linette lee

I’m sorry if my security guard catnapped my cat I will act like this psycho china official at the receptionist desk.

            GIVE ME BACK MY CAT!!!!!!!!!

          • You cant add laptop into a spicy soup.

          • carmouflagger

I was gonna insert a pussy joke there, but fuck it!

          • BiggJ

That is kind of weird, there is something weird going on around my place with cats too. All day I don’t hear a one cat but around 2-3 A.M I start hearing this god awful sound like a these cats are getting getting beat or killed or something. I first I thought I just thought maybe it was cats in heat or something. The sound…. it’s way too fucked up to be cats in heat. I can hear in my apartment with the windows shut. Somethings not fucking right.

          • don mario

they be eating the CATS cus i heard chinese men dont eat pussy..

          • don mario

theres probably some health benefit related to erections that you get if you steal and eat somebodys cat. either way, its fucked up, thats china.

      • Anon992

Surely an issue for the police

      • Kate

I thought you were a cat who could type very well….a cat owns a cat?

      • BiggJ

That guy ate your pussy. :)

      • don mario

        he blatantly ate it.

        • Blatantly, eh

          • don mario

i dont know, i was joking tbh. i dont really know all that much about cat eating in china. but i do know dog eating and snitching of strays and pets happens.

      • anon

Is you cat a female cat? maybe she was in heat, the neighbors complainedof the noise, the guard stole your cat because of this… just trying to find a rational explanation… sorry for your cat though

      • El Puma R.

but some company destroyed his business and he took the matter on his own hands. In china they only weep or set themselves on fire. No harm done and no results achieved. over here they run over you and you only get the right to cry.

    • Anon992

There is no fair legal system to support this security guard from the angry wrath of a wealthy official. He can’t trust the system here to support him doing the right thing so of course, he took one look at the appearance of this guy and prudently decided to not risk his career and family’s future.

And so these officials get used to not being held accountable and end up with displays like this. This is the effects of a corrupt legal system that is not independent from the leading party. It pollutes from the bottom up undermining all related fields.

      • Hongwu Emperor

Basically, angry people are dangerous, no matter if we’re in communist china, the US or the Shang dynasty (specially after their drinking feasts!!!)

        • Anon992

          That’s not really my point.

        • don mario

more dangerous in china.. when the angry person is a government official that doesnt have to answer to the same laws as everybody else.

      • Anon992

Survival theory will tell you that you should learn from the natives and how they react to their environment.

This is the same for culture. The locals here are simply adapted to their environment. In China a guard will often not help because the results of apprehending a rich guy could mean you lose your job and worse. In Western countries NOT helping out would mean you would lose your job.

It’s simple human survival and preservation in the context of a different environment. In this context there is a corrupt legal system which will make decisions based on guanxi and money rather than fairness.

        • BiggJ

The local children adapted to their environment here too. Learning from there parents how to get from point A to point B. This happened because a gate was shut. lol.

          The last bit of story:

A number of stampedes have taken place at Chinese schools in recent years.

In 2009, eight students were killed and 26 were injured in an incident at a middle school in Hunan province.

          And in 2006, a stampede
was reportedly set off in a middle school in Sichuan province by a
student who stopped to tie shoelaces on a staircase. The resulting crush
killed eight people and injured 27.

THIS IS WHY I PLEAD TO NUKE CHINA FROM THIS WORLD NOW!!

minimize the damage done to the world, don’t wait until the interweb of china and the developed world is too strong, and the whole systems collapses when china implodes on their kleptocracy.

Then the economy of this entire f*king world will collapse (chain events will drag the US, later the already crippled Europe, thenthe emergent nations, etc) and the kleptocracy of YOUR country will come in to your house to take out everything for their use. how ’bout that??

          • don mario

they’d be fine with a non fucked up government.

      • BiggJ

So all it takes to get away with a crime in china is to put on clean clothes and start acting like a monkey on crack? hahah All jokes aside….I do agree with you. If there were no cameras….sure I can see the guys not doing anything, because it his word against the prick official. He works in a fucking airport. It’s like trying to get away with something at a casino. Can’t be done.Once he started smashing computers, take him down. If they ask any question, check the camera.

whats wrong with a monkey on crack? is this a knock at me, mate? hahha

      • LULz

Look, if you are applying for security related job you better know what your duty is for and why you are getting paid. But hey its China who wants to take responsibility?

    • mr.wiener

They have an overdeveloped sense of self preservation and a radar set to detect influence and power. Never leave a poor person un-manhandled, never leave a rich person un-fawned to.

      • Dr Sun

        sums it up nicely

      • don mario

he is a government official, why should they do anything? his authority is higher than theirs.

          therein lies the rub

I would venture to guess that they don’t get paid enough to deal with this shit :P

    • Dr Sun

Chinese security police are there for decoration only. There usually the jobs the farmers are given after their farm is gone, in this case to be the new Kunming int airport.

    • vincent

Here’s an update to the story seems this guy has been punished http://beijingcream.com/2013/02/punishment-comes-down-on-yan-linkun-for-his-epic-airport-meltdown/

  • That’s a pretty effective door.

  • linette lee

wow…..China is losing face. This is how their gov’t officials behave.

    • slob

They’re not just losing face over the behaviour of the officials, the Chinese people in general are losing face due to lack of support to those who try to step in and do anything about it. Heroes are not welcomed here, and it makes the Chinese people look cowardice even though most of the time it’s not their fault – it’s the shotty system that’s allowing this to happen.

      • Rick in China

I don’t know if this is the reason, but it seems to me there was one girl at a late-mid point in the video who walked across the scene to step infront of some elderly people at the ‘front lines’…. no idea if it was this line of thinking or not, but I noticed it and if it was for the reasons I’d hope, wish her to have many babies, pay the fine for having many babies, and teach them these ethics.

        • slob

If you’re talking about the girl at 3:30, no she didn’t move there to protect them at all. She’s probably just going for a better view. If she was protecting the elderly, she would had instinctly put her arm out to move them back when the crazy woman smashed that thing off the floor or at least told them to move back.

    • pimpinbear

just gov officials? are you sure about that…that would imply that he wasn’t like that BEFORE he became a gov official…trust me, even without knowing him i can assure you that he was a dick long before that!

second point: the unfair general judgement, yes I am sure that many gov officials behave bad…but “this is how they” is a bit far fetched and implies that they ALL behave like that. I somehow doubt that….

and BTW, his behavior is not loosing face, cause i bet that his perspective he is KEEPING face with such a reaction. Chinese face is about not giving up, even you are 100% wrong, a senseless energy wasting activity. Most likely he is just angry about his self, he messed up and instead of admitting it (that would be considered as loosing face BTW) he preferred to act like a lunatic…trust me thats not just a chinese virtue, you have dumb fucks all around the world, its just that in china they are over proportioned and can be found quite frequently on a daily basis….having said that, I have seen much worse then that during my 7 years….

the small people should stop bashing their officials…it took me just 2 weeks in china to realize that in fact they are just pissed cause they can not become an official and collect red packs….its the people who suck….stupid ignorant selfish people result in stupid ignorant selfish leaders.

      • pimpinbear

i have knocked out 3 people in the last 7 years. The number is surprisingly low based on what i have been through here….but one thing for granted, when i would have been there in that very moment, he would have been number 4 and his dumb bitch cunt of wive or GF would have been number 5…..this story would then be about me, chinese netizens dumb fucks would celebrate me and others would require to kill this foreigner bastard….either way I would have been deported right over the border to HK, a day later i would cross the border back with another passport just to find this fuck and his cunt in the hospital and would knock the rest of their teeth out of their mouths, in case some are left from the beating i gave them in the first place…

I live in HK now most of the time, and its a great place to be, wouldn’t want it any other way…

        • KAMIKAZIPILOT

SO will you admit that you do things in China that you know you’d never get away with back home? In other words you’d act like superhero/asshole in China while back home you know it might be you who’d get his ass kicked? Typical hero complex from a foreigner, nobody’s impressed with your knockouts. I think I know you’re answer, I just want you to admit it.

          • pimpinbear

its not about getting away with it, and its not about impressing someone. I do things for myself and for myself alone, which in this case means, that i would have felt disturbed by this fuck and his dumb cunt. I am pretty much selfish and i dont care when others feel disturbed or not…maybe there are other things you would feel to get involved where i at the same time wouldn’t give a shit and let people beat each other up. In this case and knowing myself i would have gone to him and tell him to calm down, but in fact i would hope that he raises his hand against me, in which case i would feel the need to “defend” myself, and the process the dumb cunt would probably eat an elbow from me “unintentionally” of course ! I am pretty sure that i could get away with it, in the short or a little bit longer run…

          • KAMIKAZIPILOT

Okay, fair enough. I know the feeling of being disgusted and irritated with this kind of behavior but for myself, I’d hesitate to get involved physically unless he physically hurt someone. I’d just have too much to lose at this point in my life. I personally had an incident at an airport in China myself with some impatient asshole. This was at the check-in counter. It started with yelling, then he slightly shoved someone in my party. This caused me to shove him back hard which resulted in a scrum (wasn’t really a fight) in front of hundreds of people, some of whom were laughing. I never threw any punches and security actually broke it up. Just to think if you had been there and you did what you said you’d do, you might have been a featured story on Chinasmack. The title of the story would be “Foreigner knocks out two unruly passengers, netizens cheer, threaten him”, LOL.

          • don mario

im not sure about this guy, but the official who put his hands around a 11 year old girl definitely deserved to be weighed in.

          • Hongwu Emperor

The truth is upon us brothers and sisters! ;D

        • PandaPanda

Good to know who to call if we ever need an internet tough guy.

          • pimpinbear

there might be a misunderstanding here, most likely i wouldn’t give a shit when i would see a bunch of chinese beat you up. Who knows maybe i would even participate and take the opportunity to hit you too. When i go to risk my health or life, then i can assure you that i do it for selfish reasons alone….

        • Hongwu Emperor

Seems like if you enter in the airport, everyone will sing ‘everybody was kung-fu fighting’… impressive, most impressive!

        • El Puma R.

It’s like.. you wrote my feelings man. Tell me how to bash someone and get away with it ’cause I only know how to break bones bro and I ain’t payin’ for no cunt’s hospital fee that’s for sure.

          • pimpinbear

there is no golden rule which would fit everyones requirements, i for one have a certain business and job which make me kinda non-replaceable. That of course is not a get out of jail free card, but i do enjoy some freedoms in china and also know certain people i can call….I would recommend every foreigner in china to just stay out of trouble and not get involved in anything, as hard as it is sometimes.

I acted in self defense 2 times, and 1 time i was threatened and had to save my face:-)lol…making clear that action speaks louder then words. This one time I knocked some tooth out of the mouth of a nephew of an official, i had to endure him for over a year and had to employ his useless ass based on my good relations with his uncle who was at that time the head of customs of a port in guangdong. Even he told me that he appreciate my help to employ this useless fuck(his called him like that too), i should not hesitate to fire him, once he misbehaves and most likely he will. Guess he too just wanted to help own his brother, but smart as he is, he didn’t give him a job and was more then lucky that i did it….however, i somehow endured this useless fuck for nearly a year, even with all the complaints from the other staff regarding his behavior. One day he was even threatening me with his connections, so i decided to just punch him in the face, he felt down like a sack of rice in the middle of my office. Then i called my PA to call the police to tell them that he slipped cause of the wet floor, me being the ONLY witness…i met with his uncle for dinner, and judging from his reaction he was kinda satisfied that someone actually did what he wanted to do for so long time….

          • El Puma R.

You’re like a retribution machine bro. haha. Once I was coming home form a party and two guys tried to bully me just ’cause I am a foreigner. So I started cursingout loud in spanish (told them to come give me their best shot) but they got scared and left.

          • don mario

what did they do to bully you? chinese guys dont normally antagonise foreigners.

          • El Puma R.

Normally they don’t, but I don’t know, man, they just came to me, and considering they were coming out of a party full of laowai dancing with chinese girls… I think that’s what got them mad in the first place.

          • don mario

thats shitty, well i dont think they would do much damage. the only video i have seen of them fighting that looks lethal the guy they are beating up was kind of asleep on the floor.

      • Eurotrash

        Well said.

      • don mario

so government officials are not any different to normal chinese people are they? someone who is not a government official would raise hell like this? is that what you’re trying to say, cus i find that hard to believe.

        • pimpinbear

do you live in china? but that doesn’t matter….ok, we have just seen in the video what one bad guy did, it turns out that he was an official, and you believe he did that just cause of the fact that he was an official? I very much doubt that he is anyone significant, but anyway….lets take this case as an example, and research how the ordinary people behaved at the airport when flights were canceled….hard to believe, try to know not to believe. Peaceful chinese people my ass, rioting in an airport, smashing windows, destroying counters, beating airline employees, and jumping over little children and old people….and you guys want to give THEM more freedoms, fuck, they barely can handle the freedoms they have already…hard to believe my ass….

          • don mario

fuck no, i wont live there again, by choice anyway.

we have seen too many of these kinds of storys to think it is anything but power abuse. have you not seen the one where a CCP member puts his hands around an eleven year old girls neck? where on earth would someone else do that to a child, when the childs parents were present? to fuck with someones child in front of them and in public under any normal circumstances?

and i saw the other examples you showed, one was not at all threatening, only childish and the other one was an act.

i’m not convinced at all. i’ve never seen chinese do more than yell at each other, they need some kind of backing to act so brash.

    • KAMIKAZIPILOT

I don’t want to get into a whole big argument here but Chinese, and asians in general, are way too concerned with “losing face”. I’ll leave it at that.

    • pimpinbear

is this one also a gov official ?

      • pimpinbear

look how he is saving face, by acting like nothing happened. Pretty calm this little bastard:-))….I guess that most of the gov officials would have used a toilette….

      • don mario

would be surprised if that guy didnt have some kind of learning difficultys.

    • El Puma R.

This is how many Chinese behave. Period.

  • Chang Liu

    Didn’t he get the sack?

  • Allen

The first thing that came to mind was “Wow, if he tried that here in the States he’d either have been shot dead or tased at least”

    • strmv

US airports are as bad as that. So many guns, what if some deranged lunatic attacked a guard from behind, grabbed his automatic and went wild?

      • Nick in Beijing

then he probably would have been shot by any one of the numerous other armed guards before he even had the change to take the safety off.

        • Hongwu Emperor

If the guy is quick shooter, [or at least knows how to properly deal with guns] and a decent fighter [decent enough to knock down someone] the damage can be done. to innocents or the armed guards/staff.

BY the way, if the police there is so ”amagawd they came from the Three kingdoms period!!111!one!! run to the hills!!” and stuff, then why there are so many shootouts? where the shooter(s) plan for months and kill several, if not dozens of innocents?? such as school shootouts, etc HUH??

And they only manage to kill/arrest the man AFTER the damage is done, OR grabs his corpse, as he already commited suicide??

          • Nick in Beijing

i dont know what you are going on about. offer a prerext before going off on tangents, or have you sacrificed the ability to form a rational thought to the corpse of your great grand uncle?

          • Hongwu Emperor

That the police (no matter what nation) isn’t some all mighty Divine Stratagem army, that can simply prevent that some strong/able shooter robs a gun and starts of a spree… specially if he is a terrorist, OR he is bent to kill untill he dies.

And I was questioning this: ‘if the police is so powerful, why it cannot prevent those violent school shootouts??’

Side note: And sacrificing abilities would be a honorable thing! even more than a material object, as it proves one’s determination to serve the ancestor spirit!!! impressive linette, you could honor other persons by telling that also!!

          • Nick in Beijing

Difference is that schools are not packed full of armed and trained security personnel. Airports are.

        • strmv

You really are very confident about the security systems in place, aren’t you.
When dealing with guns, Americans always have a view of good guys being smart and having guns and bad guys are mindless drones who don’t plan. Rarely like that in real life.

  • BiggJ
    • Rick in China

I’m not a big guy, about 6’1 185, but after living in China for so long…one of my first (after several years) trips back to Canada, leaving the plane I saw a random police officer. He was in his early 20s I’d imagine, but he must have been at least 6’9 6’10’ 300lbs of fucking FORCE. I got off the plane coming back from China, where I’m pretty big on average, and saw what Canadians would say is a “pretty” big guy, and thought…holy shit, back in Canada, don’t fuck around. :D

      • BiggJ

Yeah, I’ll be heading back in a few months when my wife is finished with her job. I’m pretty much just hanging around china until then. Like you said, In canada im just average, maybe a bit bigger then average, I’m china im fucking king kong. I know it will be nice to be back in Canada and out this cesspool. :)

        • Dr Sun

don’t let the door hit your big asses on the way out

        • MonkeyMouth

and you get to go watch Leaf games….. i am jealous

  • xiaohouzi

I’ve seen this kind of behaviour before at the Guangzhou airport. Some flights were delayed or cancelled due to bad weather and some monkeys went ape shit. They kept yelling and putting their fingers in the faces of the counter staff. Then they climbed over the counter and started trashing the place. I didn’t see one security guard or police officer do a thing. It went on for at least and hour as a crowd stood around smoking right there in the airport. If this had happened in a more civilized country, the security or police would have made some arrests for sure. I guess the authorities in China don’t even have the balls to arrest someone like the loser in this video. Makes one feel really safe when these cowards won’t do their job.

    • pimpinbear

its called deescalation, an direct involvement, especially physical involvement from police could turn out into the whole airport burning. Trust me, most of the time, considering with who they deal (chinese people) its the best they can do, which means no action…you have to ask yourself first what is the alternative, and when you do so, consider the reaction and result of that alternative….

when it comes to china people very fast come up with human rights and democracy, thats BS in my opinion. Giving this sort of people even more rights and even the right to vote, the result would be war and chinese killing each others in the millions…what they have now is in my opinion the best they deserve, everything else results in death and destruction…

      • Hongwu Emperor

Wu wei = to ‘do’ without ‘doing’ nothing.

      • xiaohouzi

Fair enough. At least it was entertaining.

  • slob

Guess he was late because he was busy getting a blowjob from his mistress in the black Audi.

    • Dr Sun

      LOL, Probably

  • thmswhnr

    Meet the next Bo familiy!

  • linette lee

The china woman his wife is yelling also at the airport staff. So crazy. You wonder what kind of women will marry to these low life pigs uneducated china officials? Here it is. Another low life uneducated poor manners whore a China woman. You will see many of these in Hong kong. The hongkies laugh at them behind their back. So embarrassing to watch them behaving like a low life in the public. Especially in international cities. Give Chinese outside China a really bad reputation.

She is so China. She is made in China. hahaha…lol.

    • Chang Liu

And you are giving Chinese women a bad reputation on the internet, well done.

      • KAMIKAZIPILOT

Not that I condone it, but IMO foreigners, or at least Americans, don’t respect China or Chinese people as a whole. Relatively speaking, Chinese have more respect (fear?) for the West than the West has for China. And the thing is, most Chinese don’t even know the thought process and reasoning of foreigners. Linette is a prime example.

        • Archie

Respect and fear are two very different things.

I think Chinese people are more respectful of guests as a whole (even if under the surface some of them really don’t respect these guests at all). If I were Chinese, I’d probably fear America too.

Interestingly, it seems Chinese have far less respect for their fellow citizen than they do for most guests in their country. I wonder what causes that.

          • Hongwu Emperor

I am chinese and I have absolute no fear of any f***** nation… ¬¬’

The only thing I fear is that our ancient traditions will never be truly restored.

          • Archie

I fear many of your ancient traditions are lost, which I agree is a big shame.

However, despite you not fearing any nation, I suspect many in your military do not share your sentiments.

          • Hongwu Emperor

I am deeply sad that those traditions cannot be brought back, or that no one of important wants it to be restored. however the struggle goes on, and the way of the ancients must be upheld! =)

About the military, I don’t know, but many doesnt wish a battle or something, specially because both economies are so intertwinned. And that the nation’s way of thinking, mainly the government officers, businessman, and those guys there is now much more of a ‘peace and love’ stuff rather than the Boxer rebellion, or anything hehe.

          • Archie

Sure, I agree. I’m not saying most want to fight, but given the rebalancing of the US to Asia, there must be many that fear the increased presence of US troops in the region will stifle the stated goals of the party in reviving China to her past glory.

          • Hongwu Emperor

Maybe, as we do not know what the Chinese military is thinking right now hehe.

By the way, the current govt is way too inconsistent… one day they help DRPK, other day the denounce it (or fake something against them). same goes for the South china sea claims and stuff…

          • KAMIKAZIPILOT

Really, all you fear are ancient traditions being lost? I wish that was all I had to fear in life. There’s a fine line between living in the past and honoring the past but embracing the present.

          • Hongwu Emperor

Nowadays we must not ponder ‘what was lost’ instead, ‘what we can restore’, as much has already been lost and the ancient traditions are no longer practiced by both the ‘elites’ (should we call them that) and the ‘commoners’.

And at the same time, no one of great importance bent on restoring it

We cannot shirk from the duty of criticizing the total ‘un-action’ of the powerful ones, but also we shall not forget to try to keep something alive, such as ancestor worship for some or desiring a better understanding of a classic, such as Lijiang [classic of rites], for example.

          • KAMIKAZIPILOT

The only thing certain about culture, any culture in the world, is that it’s constantly evolving. This means change, nothing stays the same. Remembering and preserving some of the past is all good but it seems like your posts are constantly about “the past”. No offense but IMO I think you’ve crossed the line between healthy rememberance and unhealthy obsession.

          • linette lee

……………….The only thing I fear is that our ancient traditions will never be truly restored……………

hahah…lol. There you go again. Thank god you weren’t my chinese history teacher.

          • filabusta

Shame you guys revere the guy who did the most damage to your ancient traditions.

          • don mario

you must be shitting your pants then cus most of them are dead and gone.

          • KAMIKAZIPILOT

Respect and fear are different but they are not mutually exclusive. One feeling can contribute to another. I think Chinese both respect, fear and loathe foreigners.

To me having less respect for your fellow countrymen than for foreigners isn’t interesting, it’s pathetic. Also all foreigners are not equal in Chinese people’s eyes, another pathetic trait. This is a result of history, the media, and pure ignorance. It’s pretty sad that many of them have such low self-esteem that they place any white foreigner on a pedestal and people of color beneath them, without even getting to know them first.

        • Hongwu Emperor

It’s the kind of person that tries to be ”’nationalist”’ by debasing everything related with its own people saying ‘the govt sucks, the people sucks everything suck’ saying that ‘this’ place is better or ‘that’ one blah blah… ¬¬’

        • Appalled@everything

You don’t seem to understand, respect is not given, it is earned, it can also be lost. China is doing an exceptional job losing respect around the world, and simultaneously, doing very little to earn respect globally.

          • KAMIKAZIPILOT

Actually I think you misunderstood my post as I agree with you completely. I was just stating my observations. Of course a large part of the imbalance is due to racism, ignorance and cultural hegemony on the part of the West, which is the part that I find disagreeable. However, a large part is also due to China’s behavior, which many cultures would find wrong. I actually quoted the “respect is earned, not given” line in one of my posts on another story so I totally agree with that. China still hasn’t figured out how to gain respect in the world, and I’m not sure they ever will.

        • linette lee

And the ancestors of the HK people comes from?? *mysterious drumming* China!!

Unless you have total descent [no mixed heritage] from the british LOL

          • El Puma R.

All the loveliness and the civilization of HK people comes from.. wait for it… NOT China !

            xD

          • Hongwu Emperor

No, it comes from China, or at least chinese people living there

        • Chang Liu

          Even worst…

    • pimpinbear

I prefer HK, but when it comes to hypocrisy HKers are the champs !!! Of course you just dare to laugh behind their backs and it matches exactly the stereotype of a HKer. Behind teir backs you call them low lives, uneducated with poor manners and embarrassing to watch, but yet you guys seem to have no problem at all to take their money along the way.

I found embarrassing what you wrote, and again, of course all this uneducated low lives which came over the border must all be chinese gov officials….??!! REALLY? Since they can afford to buy themselves something or their mistresses means that the money is most likely stolen and they qualify to be called gov officials. Girl, you dont know crap about anyone of them, but yet you dont hesitate to judge them?

It might come as a surprise, but most of this fucks are not gov officials, most are just some relatives of them or simple business people. Do you think that there are no business people in china? Maybe you prefer to avoid the truth, but if you are already pissed about them, then i can assure you that the ones which are even worse then them, the wast majority remains on the mainland. What you see in HK are just mainly ordinary greedy dirty GuangDong canton fucks, in fact the very same people which are closest to you HK guys. This are the ones from the better and more developed areas in china. If you are already pissed about that, then wait when the others come, you know , the ones you always seem to defend cause they are oppressed by the evil gov and corrupt officials…damn, you sound like a commie…

  • slob

I like how the 3 security guards just sit there watching and don’t even say anything. If you don’t have the balls to do your job and stop him, at least say something? Fucking idiots? What if that dickhead went rampage on other passengers and decided to hurt someone? The official’s friends would put the blame on the airport security for not stopping him. And you gotta love The Great Wall of Chinese that inevitably turns up within a minute every time something happens here.
On another note, I thought planes weren’t allowed to take off if people who have checked in their buggage onto the flight haven’t boarded yet for security reasons. I’ve had a similar

    • slob

Experience* where they allowed me to board even when I was late because my bags were already on the plane. The other passengers weren’t too happy hahuheuuhauhaha

      • KamJos

Lucky for you. I’ve had the experience of being able to see the plane I was supposed to get on but not being able to because I was late from an earlier connection. My bags were on the plane too. I had to overnight in a hotel. The plus side is my bag was waiting for me as soon as I landed the next morning.

he just released some pressure, and they do what they have been told, and that is to do nothing:-)

  • chinabull

Disgraceful. Wimps in China. Scared of arresting someone with a little power. I would have tackled that man after 10 seconds of his childish display! That airport is a joke and should be an embarrassment to the Chinese people. The official should be fired and also the manager of security should be fired.

    • linette lee

It’s the whole system. China gov’t is corruption from top to bottom. I doubt even if they arrest him they will not press charges because he is an officials.

The new china president needs to clean house. He has a lot of house cleaning to do. I hope he will do it. It’s good we have internet to continue to embarrass China gov’t. Let the world see. Someone need to post the offenders names and province too on the internet :)

      • pimpinbear

and you think that within the ordinary non gov official people there is no corruption from top to bottom ?

Nothing needs to be cleaned up, the system works quite well considered how big the country and population is. Specially when you take into account how violent ready the ordinary Wang and Chan is…..the video show clearly what the policies are, and i saw that many dozen times. Its a simple rule of deescalation, do nothing and wait until the person releases his pressure. After he calm down they police can come to see what happened, but not before….China is dynamite, a simple argument between two people on the street can turn into a riot of a complete part of the city involving hundreds and thousands of people. And the chances that this happens increases dramatically when you send in the police to beat them down, arrest them or taser them….in china you can actually do whatever you wish, you can even complain about the gov in public, as long as no one gives a fuck (and usually no one does), its ok. BUT in case you are someone known, and people start to listen to your crap is the moment you are in danger….but, isn’t that everywhere the case ?

        • Paul Schoe

Nice analysis Pimpinbear, Indeed, we see it all the time, police takes action after the fact, and we are pretty free to do what we want, as long as it doesn’t involve groups of people. Things can escalate very very quickly, with large numbers of non-involved people who suddenly move forward to express frustration while hidden in group-behavior, so anything that de-escalates a situation is preferable to demonstrating power.

          • pimpinbear

Paul, lets be clear here, its preferable for china, cause things can turn out pretty bad and escalate into armageddon scenarios…the only thing the gov in china is afraid off is about a possible “chinese spring/winter/summer..whatever”. Especially in china where people are so talented to cause senseless trouble out of nothing. I think the gov did a great job preventing such things from happening…so far.

In western countries its pretty much the same, while i would argue that escalations which includes violence of smaller and bigger groups of people causing trouble can be identified to certain minorities and even races. As fucked up as it sounds, but looking at the percentage of prison inmates and committed crimes

        • Eurotrash

I know the truth when I hear it. Another good analysis.

      • don mario

you hope he will do it….

i’ll save you the time and hit you with some cold harsh reality. he will not, and doesnt need to change NADA.

    • Rick in China

“I would have tackled that man after 10 seconds of his childish display!”

      No you wouldn’t have.

If you did, though, you’d likely be facing criminal charges, and if you did get in this situation no minor connections you may have would get you out. I went through a very long and arduous situation with a dude who had _no power_, no connections, and no money………because he/his family simply didn’t accept anything but going through the process…….. and let me tell you first hand, Bull, it’s not as pleasant as you’d think in your movie-inspired-romanticized mind.

      • pimpinbear

i have been in “movie situations” in china before, and looking at this video, i wouldn’t mind to participate into one more….

        • Dr Sun

A lot of testosterone flying around in these comments, non of you would do a fucking thing and here’s why, because the video would go viral

“Laowai beats hard working government official and family, neitizens reactions”

“Laowai thugs visa revoked and deported, neitizens applaud”

then it’s back to the USA,the single wide, looking for a job flipping burgers and complaining about white woman and how the Obama government is destroying America, for you.

          • Hongwu Emperor

Dr Sun, I have to take off my ‘guan’ this time!

          • MonkeyMouth

haha…….. who knows. stepping in to try to diffuse it may be a better option

      • Archie

        love to hear that story

        • Rick in China

I’ve written about it in other posts when people inquired, can search for it or something :D

    • Hongwu Emperor

I bet you wouldnt… the guy was probably annoyed as hell, and those nasty tantrums can put on a damage, unless someone is coward enough to use a gun…

enraged people tend to become stronger… he could well throw that sign or the desk computer, etc at someone. what if he hurt some innocent??

The way to immobilize him would be throwing some ropes/bolos to restrain his legs at first.

      • Eurotrash

LOL! Bolos? Throwing some ropes? What movie did you see that it?

        • Hongwu Emperor

None lol, just my ideas to immobilize someone in a tantrum…
C’mon Eurotrash, you’re talking with the user Emperor Hongwu, man!!
My ideas would usuallly involve ropes or a bamboo staff, bolos, etc etc. OR if you want more violent measures, I’d NEVER talk about using guns or tazers, instead I’ll be saying stuff about throwing spears, etc etc.

      • don mario

lol, they should hire buddhist shaolin monks as security.

        • Hongwu Emperor

          Hey, that’s a good idea really =)
at least they could give a lecture on the assailant [after defeating him] on how violence leads to nothing, and some meditation stuff hah

  • linette lee

What disgust me the most is how the airport staff handled the situation after the family smashed everything. They appeared to be negotiating with them. That is fxcked up. This is what is the most fxcked up in the video. That just tells you the whole China gov’t system is fxcked up. You don’t negotiate with violent offenders. You go in there and throw all of them on the floor and handcuff them without questioning. You will write your report once you get them in your office.

    • pimpinbear

btw, why do YOU complain about mainland gov officials all the time? From what i understand you live in HK !? Why you care ?

      • linette lee

Why do you talk about Hk and China gov’t. Are you chinese? Are you planning to live there forever? What do you care?

        • pimpinbear

i do care when i see that people somehow take for granted that a normal citizen or a poor person must be good and the leader or rich guys must be bad.

Don’t you think that this is too convenient ? I think this are just a bunch of excuses from delusional people based on a too liberal way of looking at things. Or where do you think all this bad people come from? Are they not chinese? Not raised by chinese parents? Not grow up under certain values? Not from chinese schools and education system? Not tried to climb the career ladder by backstabbing others along the way?

Right, they all ARE right from the middle of chinese society. The only difference is that they made it, maybe, well most likely with the help of connections, BUT you think that the ordinary citizen wouldn’t use connections? Fuck, they do it all the time, this whole fucking society is about knowing someone and to brag about it. You would turn down a lucrative job simply cause someone helped you along the way? Where does your self and society criticism starts and where does it ends ? At the point you are confronted with your own hypocrisy ? Its one thing to have the heart at the right place, and i applaud you for that, but does it do any good or productive while the head is sticking in the ass ?

Get real, you live in a city, well developed under western standards and have the luxury to take and pick and chose the best from both worlds, but yet you prefer to criticize the chinese gov alone and make then sole responsible when shit happens. That understanding matches most of the netizens reactions, and while i can understand their excuses giving certain aspect of their lives and personality, you should be at least a bit more critical given the fact that you should know much better based on the environment you live in….

          • linette lee

No. China has a fxcked up gov’t system. If you are born poor in the rural areas in China, you will be poor for the rest of your life. No chance of climbing the ladder or get good equal education like the rich china folks. Countries like uSA or even Hk system, the poor are given equal opportunities. Even children from the poor families have equal rights and chance of attending good public school. They have equal chance and access of getting good healthcare. A child from a poor home in USA or hk has chance to climb up the ladder and become millionaires and professionals. That is why you have entrepreneurs like bill gate or Mark Zuckerberg.

And the china officials they steal money from the china people openly. No hard to see just by what they are driving, big condos, or overseas schools for their children. A gov’t official in china can drive a mercedez with the salary he is making??? ten rolex or cartier watches? three mistresses with condos? get real.

Hk people and China people have such a big differences in point of view how a gov’t should be run.

          • pimpinbear

cant believe you wrote such silly things, dont even know where to start…are you living in a bubble or something ?

You dont know much, but of course you know the exact amount of mistresses, brand of car and watch, and the certain housing which qualifies to finger point and call someone a corrupt official ?? damn, you do sound like an ordinary mainland peasant,,,being HK citizen one would/could wish that you would have developed a more critical mind about certain aspects of society….you bash the commies, but you thinking is very much totalitarian too, no big difference…

          • linette lee

Go to China and try to be the next mark Zuckerberg. Make sure you have enough money to bribe your way thru China gov’t system in order to start any innovative business. lol. You will be broke before you enough make a penny.

          • Hongwu Emperor

In all countries in world there’s that risk. in commerce/biz you’ll have more chances to sink than to suceed. Those who suceed are those well-known corporate moguls [such as zuckerberg, etc] those who fail we’ll never hear about. be it in china or in the U.S

          • linette lee

Story like zuckerberg WILL NEVER or CAN NEVER happen in China.

          • yeah but story of Shaolin Monk kicking ass and revenging his master’s death by killing the rival clan can never happen anywhere else. Ill take that story over zuckerberg. It sound more exciting.

          • Hongwu Emperor

YEAAAH! see? Gerhana had the answer here, right now!

Lu Bu wasn’t american, neither zheng chengong [koxinga]. Cao cao wasn’t a modern businessman, neither Zhuge liang [kongming]

Kongzi and Mengzi never wore a suit. neither Han feizi OR shi huangdi!!

Shaolin temple didnt excell in computer/bloody IT back then. However it was plainly badass neither Wudangshan. What about Taijiquan, practiced even in the ‘west’? yeah, a badass called ‘zhang sanfeng’ invented it [or one of the taichi styles]

          • pimpinbear

fuck, it happened already a dozen times, just open your eyes and stick your head out of your bubble, then you will see and hear it. You seem to have a problem with facts. I used to be like that until i was 10 years old…

          • pimpinbear

and you think that china doesn’t have its more then fair share of Zuckerberg’s ?? Why you say such silly things? You just live an hour bus drive from there, but yet you are so ignorant about them. There are millions of people in china who run successful businesses and earn millions. Why you talk yourself into believing that the ONLY ones who have money in china must be government officials. More and more i believe that there is more into your story then you want to make believe, or did your parents teach you this ignorant crap? was someone screwed over by mainlanders? happend quite frequently that HK people loose money in china or are screwed by their mainland relatives….I found especially HK women hate mainland people, especially mainland women, but is it really this mainland girls fault that HK girls are no competition and HK males prefer to spend time with a mainland women or girl and spend their money on them rather then on a local girl. I personally have many HK friends, and yes, most of them have girls on china side and spend a good amount of time and money there. So if that is a part of your personal resume then i can understand why you are pissed all the time. Get it girl, you are chinese too, and times and games have changed and most of you girls missed the train, while chinese girls know how to play and developed their game. You should see competition as something positive and stack up your game. You HK girls should better be all over your friends and husbands cocks, otherwise the mainland competition will suck them dry and their money too along the way. I myself know a good bunch of HK people who’s families lives were destroyed and money lost, so from this point of view i can understand you….

          • linette lee

Hk men who are unfaithful and cross border to go to mainland to get China whores as mistresses because they are cheaper.
And these china women know they are fxcking someone else’s husbands and they are doing it for money so they are whores.

Why would the wives like whores of their cheating husbands?

I myself have plenty mainlander female friends. I don’t have any problem with them. But I do see many mainlander wives and husbands behave just like in the video here. They have the same mentality like you. They think money is everything. They don’t follow hk rules or regulations. Causing disturbances in the public. Hk is a place where people from all over other countries come and spend their money. Not a problem as long as these tourists follow rules and regulations of hK. Hk people welcome them.

          • Hongwu Emperor

It’s funny how you talk SHIT out of mainland chinese man AND women, but you forgot that your ancestors are Chinese, therefore they would be ‘cheap’ also (according to YOUR logic)

          • don mario

and what if you do make it? its the mark kitto story? get your business thats worth millions stolen off of you?

          • linette lee

Why? doesn’t bother you that the china officials are abusing their power as servants working for the china gov’t serving the people of the nation? If gov’t servants are not doing their job and stealing instead, what will happen to the nation?

Also you and I both know 95% of the china gov’t officials lack the skills or educations to do their jobs. Jobs are given to party members through connection. How can a system improve?

          • pimpinbear

why it should bother me, and why the hell it should bother you when you dont even live there??

again you generalize girl, that makes you sound silly. Tell me, which officials in which country don’t abuse their powers ? You can say whatever you want and it also doesn’t matter if i agree with you, fact is that china has improved a lot in the last 2 decades, and it has improved the living standards and conditions of hundreds of millions of people. There are billionaires and many millionairs in china, and may of them run successful businesses. Fucking china is in the position to borrow the rest of the world money, even the US, and they get HK back. You can be pissed about it as much as you like, but thats a fact and you better realize it and start to live with it. They bring tons of money to HK, and fuck it, when they decide to pee or make a shit on the walkway, then hey, let them. Guess that is the price HK has to pay allowing even the dumbest canton fuck to cross the border with his cheap shoes and rotten mouth. HK businesses very much benefits from this people.

It doesn’t matter of they lack the skills compared to other countries politicians, again, i dont need to like it, but facts are facts, somehow they at least seem to have the right skills to hold the country together, become the richest gov in history and influence world politics, and it looks they spend their money wise investing in countries and businesses, recourses, worldwide…..its easy to see the bad, but as long as they are growing and improving every argument against them sounds silly. At the end of the day, its the results which counts, how someone did it? No one will ask about it as long they can provide the results….and so far they do…

          • linette lee

You use only wealth to measure the success of a nation. It’s good to be rich. But money is not everything. Having a gov’t system that provide its people rich or poor equal access to education, healthcare, civil rights, freedom of press and speech is also very important. I rather live under a system like that than the China gov’t system.

You are bullshxting. Move yourself to the rural areas in china and live there. Work over there and raise your family over there.

          • pimpinbear

i dont measure anything, i just see, hear and experience, then i talk about it. The world outside your liberal bubble isn’t so bad after all, so stop bitching about a country you don’t even live in, but already made up your mind about it. Thats called ignorance btw…we could all just ignore the huge size of china, the 1.5 billion population and all the mess this country has been through, fucked over again and again by outsiders but mainly by their own dumb people. You must see things in perspective and comparison, and if you refuse to do so, then you are just an ignorant fool, not much better then the ordinary ignorant fool from the mainland who is spitting and smoking his way through the streets of TST….you ignore the likely hood that given freedoms and rights too fast would turn out in a mess with millions of deaths, most likely executed by the very same people you tend to defend, the ordinary ignorant dumb fucks, which would kill each over in the process….people like you never think about consequences, and when the mess happened based on your irrational demands, then you will ask yourself how this could have happened. For now chinese people got the government they deserve and the amount of rights and freedoms they can handle, and year by year they get more, you better realize that fact. They are allowed to travel now a days and enjoy freedoms now one could have imagined 20 years ago.

When you worry about all the poor people over there, then why you dont invite them and help them out of their misery, i am sure you can spare a bowl of rice. Why you dont build an organization to help them with all the others who live in your bubble?

I was in rural areas more then once, and i traveled the world since i was 16 years old, and have seen much worse then what i have seen in china so far. I have built businesses and companies and contributed that hundreds of people get jobs and receive salaries for years. What have you done so far? I am just a foreigner, you are chinese, so dont be such a hypocrite….bitching and complaining is all you guys can do.

Now tell us the true reason for your fucked up opinion about china…something like:

father spend all the families savings for mainland girls, now we are poor…..i stepped on shit a mainlander left on the sidewalk…i was drunk and a mainlander with a rotten mouth wearing white socks took advantage of me…my brother discovered his homosexuality by sucking the sweaty nipples of a mainland tourist..shit like that…at least make it entertaining….looking forward to the story behind your story….

          • carmouflagger

“If you are born poor in the rural areas in China, you will be poor for the rest of your life.” Yet somehow China has more ‘nouveau riche’ than any other country.

          • pimpinbear

she has no idea what she is talking about. Its the typical HK hypocrisy talk and behavior. She don’t know much, but of course she know the exact amount of mistresses and watches and brands or cars and way of housing it takes to qualify to be called a corrupt official. I have no doubt that she is from HK, even more surprisingly her opinion about certain subject matches the ones from ordinary mainland peasants…its of course NEVER the poor mens fault. God beware this folks take over one day….

          • Hongwu Emperor

It’s the lack of badass attitude and the want-of comeback British rule there lol.

          • linette lee

            It’s call knowing the difference between a good gov’t and a bad gov’t .
For those who have never experienced or understand what a good gov’t system can be they will not complain. If you don’t know what’s wrong why would you complain? Hkeses have the misfortune of being exposed to two very different gov’t systems. We can compare and we know the difference.

          • Hongwu Emperor

The true government is the one we will never have, the Imperial Rule,

So nowadays we have two options, stick with the commies [native] or the KMT remnants on Taiwan, or be a total hanjian and kiss the butt out of british/japanese/etc.

          • pimpinbear

i had many HK friends who literally run away to singapore, malaysia and taiwan right before the handover….guess what, now nearly ALL of them work in good positions on the mainland either for mainland or HK based companies, earn a shitload of money and enjoy to fuck young girls. They bought again apartments and houses in HK and veeeery much benefitted in the around 1000% housing market value increase until now….Linette or her family must be people who somehow had made bad experiences with commies from the past and dont realize that mainland is capitalism pure…..

          • Hongwu Emperor

See? people always think place’s gonna be like north korea or something when China comes in, but later, they got their faces pressed on the shit and realizes that the stuff is different.

          • Hongwu Emperor

            Well said carmouflagger, well said!!

          • Dr Sun

            Princeling’s.

          • don mario

google is your friend. do a search on chinese government officials who made an effort to try and be good people, and look at what became of them.

          • pimpinbear

why should i care about what became out of individuals making choices in their lives….I judge by results alone, and in general the results china can show off speak for themselves. No one denies that there is a lot of work to do and a lot of room is left for improvements, but facts are facts. If you guys like to deny that most people are better off now then 10 years ago, if you like to deny chinas influence on a world politics scale, their investment in certain regions of the world, the steady growth and development then its up to you guys to remain ignorant and keep on pointing the finger towards a whole government which somehow managed to produce such results in a relatively short amount of time, you and me like it or not, but they did it and they will continue doing it. They will gain even more influence in the future while you guys will keep on pointing on a small dumb fuck of official who went crazy somewhere somehow for whatever reason….its laughable….

          • pimpinbear

you will keep on bashing the chinese government, while your own leaders bow down to this very same sort of people. Isnt that something worth to think about?? it could be that chinese people got the gov they deserve, but it could also be that you got the gov you in fact dont deserve and its probably the reason why democracy is more and illusion then anything else. Its ironic, that in one country ignorant people get ignorant leaders, and in another system and country ignorant people got leaders who know better then that….

          • Hongwu Emperor

            This is true, most true!

          • don mario

it might not be perfect, but democracy is a damn sight better than whatever the fuck you wanna call what china is using. it aint perfect? sure, thats fine. over time it can be developed, changes can be made, new partys can be voted in. Not in china. one stagnated system that does, whatever the fuck it wants to with NO alternatives.

          • don mario

you were trying to point out how people are the same from inside the party and out? well if you do a search u will find out that good deeds do not fly when you are working for them. so no, you cannot be still be a good person while working for them.

but there are plenty of good people in china, who dont work for the party.

results? you are gonna get your results when the whole thing flops dude, mark my words. this type of rape to human nature and the laws of nature cannot and will not sustain. watch it happen.

          • pimpinbear

are you some sort of religious jesus freak or something? are you the one who is setting the standards about what a “good person” is?

I never said that they are good, I just say that when someone thinks that the ordinary people are any better, then he is dead wrong. You people talk about corruption all the time, but that in its self is contradicting, cause where do you guys think the money comes from, when officials are bribed how Linette said “from top to buttom” ? It comes from outside of course, so who bribe the small little village chief or the high influencal party member secretary in a bigger city? Are those not chinese people, all the way from the ordinary village resident who is looking that his son gets a job, to a business man who likes to get a construction contract. You guys talk about facts and cherry pick when one of them goes nuts in public, but at the same time DENY the fact that the ordinary people are NOT any better and would, when given the chance, do exactly the same. Fact is, and you can keep on ignoring that all your life, that the ordinary citizen is NOT any better (and i would even argue that he is even more dangerous and violent ready then the ones who made it as an official) then any of the party members in government.

It appears that people like you must have been brain washed cause you use the same liberal excuses like everyone else who knows little about china even they are living there. What is the slogan ? That facts can’t be taken as facts cause they don’t fit the general opinion from the bubble you live in? Your leaders from the countries you came from seems to understand this issue much better, how else you explain the ass kissing they do each time they come to china or are visited by a delegation from china, begging for support and money? You are just pissed cause it disturbs your worldview about hoe something can be since it shouldn’t be. Then you finger point each and every time you see some shit happening in china.

Good people my ass, the whole country, including the ones you call good people outside the party are corrupted, and it works this way since thousands of years, with the difference that the ones in power NOW are much smarter then the ones decades ago, and from what one can observe, they created wealth and changed the lives of millions of citizens to the better and at the same time they get their cracks licked lean by western leaders. They seem to have no problem with the fact that they are corrupted. I and many other foreigners have benefitted very much from china and the (once) cheap chinese labour. I gave and received back, it was a pain in the ass and frustrating to deal with them, but it was beneficial, and thats what counts.

          • don mario

well thats bullshit, there are plenty of good people and they get locked up for it. you cant do that kind of thing whilst working for the government as you will also be locked up. so my point was, you can be a good person but not whilst working for the ccp, it simple does not abide with the system. the people are not the same, but they are forced to abide with the system they are living in, or they can say good bye. that doesnt make them bad. working for the government and taking the benefits that go with it however is a choice. i never set the standards of what is good, they are just there.

what the hell does the country i am from have to do with my opinion of chinas fucked system? you sound like a chinese. deflecting the criticism off china in a confusion technique. well guess what mother fucker, i criticise the west also. if something is fucked up, it will be criticised. thats only way things move forward. and yea i dont think nixon should of started the relationship with china in the first place, but thats pretty fucking irrelevent now isnt it. all i can do is avoid buying cheap chinese shit and tell people i know to do the same.

          • pimpinbear

its funny how fast you guys use the term “good people” about people you most likely know nothing or just very little about. So when some “good people’ are arrested, does that mean that this can just happen in a country like china with this “evil government” ? and or would you deny that in our western countries so “good people” can’t get arrested or somehow find themselves trapped into the gears of the judicial system with little or no way out ?!

Why the finger pointing to a foreign country when you have most likely a good bunch of shit going on in your own country. Is that some sort of self protection brain mechanism which helps you to avoid confronting yourself with the disturbing ugly inner truth? Why not clean up the mess in your own country first, before you turn into bashing other peoples countries and governmental systems.

Chinas government do suck on a large scale, but yet its the system which works best for them in the short or long run considering the character and personality of a majority of the people there and to assure that the process towards more freedoms will be executed in a rational and healthier way, instead of giving them shit SOME demand overnight and let them kill each others in the millions as a result of giving things people are not ready for. Do you guys don’t learn from examples and events which happened in other countries before that? When will your liberal mindset be satisfied? Until millions have suffered and died as a consequence of you thinking which was formed in a bubble about how things should be? Its not the chinese gov which scares me, its people with your sort of thinking. I am glad that our western leaders know better despite the general believe of their population…

so you think “Nixon shouldn’t have started….”, and that exactly shows a twisted liberal mindset, not thinking further and not taking consequences into account. Tell me, what would have happened as a consequence of your wish that: “Nixon shouldn’t have started….”??? and what are the consequences of the fact “that nixon has started”….well isn’t the answer easy, even for people like you? Or would you still, knowing that the lives of hundreds of millions of people has improved as a consequence of “that nixon has started”, defending your position that he shouldn’t have, which would have most likely lead and secured that hundreds of millions would remain living and dying in poverty? Does it really takes such consequences and results just to prove that your mindset is twisted?

But yeah, of course you will do your best to promote your wrong thinking to others, and probably in the process hurting the ones you defend and call “good people”:-)..again consequences, and i know its a strange word to you liberals and religious freaks. Yeah, we must help this good people in china which are oppressed, and the best way would be to stop buying shit which was manufactured there, getting sure that this very same people will loose their jobs as the consequence that the factories which produce this shit have to close cause of less demand from the market…dont you think that something is wrong with that sort of thinking ?

          • don mario

first paragraph- the level of unjust arrests between china and west.. its not comparable. they happen in both, ok. but the level? way off the chart in china.

why point the finger at china?- because fucked up things will get a finger pointed at them. this is how the world moves forward.
not to mention, this website is called CHINAsmack. i would have to reduce my intelligence to someone of your level to come on a website about china and go on a rant about other country’s.
why not point the finger at my own country? i am not stating for the second time that i do. i have more than 1 finger.

works best for them in the short or long run? i dont believe it. i see a lot of building but i dont see much true development. and thats just the short term. for the long term this system absolutely cannot be sustained.

so i would be hurting people, by forcing them not to produce cheap crap, and to make something worth buying, which can sustain long term development and not only short term? ok then.

and what about the next country that gets rich off of cheap labour and replaces china? i guess they shouldnt do it because the poor widdle chinese people will suffer? shite. is what you are speaking.

          • Hongwu Emperor

Even without nixon start of relationship, I bet that China could’ve find a way of dealing with another nations, specially neighbors and stuff, but that would require a different government and a reapproachment with former ”enemies” of maoist china [mainly capitalist countries and India]

In fact nothing changed for good or for bad if we count Nixon’s reapproachment as the single reason. What truly drove China to its capitalist route was internal changes, stuff made from the inside out, not the other way around. If you like that, thank Deng Xiaoping, not Nixon.

          • don mario

i see it as no different as to usa making business relationship with north korea today, and letting them continue on as they have been. as pimmingbear said, they are basicly licking chinas ass.

but that might change, they have the asia rebalancing military shift.. i am guessing their intent is to keep china in check and gradually move to towards reforms. surely they had the chance to do that in the past when the country had no power? so that is why i dont agree with it, just a bad move in general for the future.

        • Dr Sun

          you tell him, Linette

        • MonkeyMouth

awesome, lin…….. i can smell the vitriol

  • linette lee

You will see crazy violent people in every countries. Even in airports. It is how the gov’t workers or police handle the situation that tells you how well organized and safe is that country. This is a clear case and example China has a really corrupt gov’t system and lack of human rights protection. Not a good or safe country to live in.

    • pimpinbear

what about the old lady in the HK airport ??? clearly HK Canton fuck from the little i could understand…i found her more disturbing then the guy in the video…

      • pimpinbear

        yeah of course…just mainland suck…

        • pimpinbear

they are all small little spoiled fucks, some learned to control themselves and some are out of control for pretty much their whole life…again, its everywhere in the world, its just that in china its been executed on whole new, higher levels…

          • linette lee

Trust me. It’s not easy to find people behave like that in HK. I have never seen it. Not hkese. Not like this crazy woman with her shark fin soup. That is funny.

        • linette lee

uhhhh….isn’t this a “save the shark” commercial? She is a bad actress. The boyfriend and the waiter were laughing. The women next table was cracking up. bad acting.

      • linette lee

She needs xanax. She wasn’t attacking anyone or smashing up things. What are you talking about? Let her husband handle her. She is a nut job.

        • pimpinbear

was he attacking anyone? definitely not physically, the only difference i see is that he destroyed a bunch of cheap stuff along the way which can be replaced easily.

From my experience chinese people are actually pretty calm considering the circumstances they live on and the way they are raised by their parents which very rarely teach them independence, self criticism and preventive measures….that leads to the fact that many of them just cant handle pressure or problems when it happens in their lives, they act like they acted when they were small. When confronted with simple facts where a rational person would try to find a way out by using his brain, they turn aggressive and sometimes even violent were “saving face” becomes the top priority. Having been in many situations of such nature, I know that its veeeery hard to calm them down. In fact when you give them even attention by trying to argue with them, they use it to absorb even more energy and lasts even longer.

The best way would be to arrest them ASAP, but like i said before, police using force in china is a dance on a thin rope…

I call HK my home, I like it here very much, but even here you see some crazy things happening, and the police, even very capable try too to deescalate the situation, force is being used very rarely, due to the higher education of the people and better living standards. One know its rights here and have also no problem to contribute to society and his environment, while most mainlanders don’t give a shit about their environment or society, so why should their leaders ?

      • don mario

not threatening at all, its just a grown ass woman acting like a baby hhaa. the other guys was a vulgar display of power.

        • pimpinbear

oh i see, you must be one of this hardcore liberals finding excuses for everything just to be popular amongst the ignorant, bitching and complaining but in fact you give less of a shit then myself. As long as the problem doesn’t come to your doorsteps you will deny that there is a problem and you will always find someone to blame for it…

No wonder we have huge problems in europe with immigrants of muslim background. Its cause of liberal dumb fucks who refuse to admit that there is a problem and who give them even more rights encouraging them to keep on committing crimes….

          • don mario

not the case, i am just pointing out the obvious facts. this woman is acting like a bitch, its no threat to anyone. the guy in the story is abusing the power of a corrupt government and nobody does, nor can do SHIT to stop him.

and because i point out this simple truth, that means i am responsible for muslim immigrants in europe? fool.

and the problem wont come to my doorstep cus i aint living in the moral wasteland of china again.

  • dwqdw wdwqdqwd

    Chinks on a plane

    • BiggJ

      Starring Samuel L. Jackson. hahaha

      memorable quote:

“Enough is ENOUGH!!! I’ve had it with these mother fucking chinks on this mother fucking plane!!!”

If you don’t know what i’m talking about watch “Snakes on a plane”

      Nice comment man lol

  • Rick in China

The amusing thing is – this same situation, the same people, if he were in — as some people commented, the USA….. he’d be a calm upset little boy. Yet, here, he thinks his clout will buy him any ticket out of any situation, so he acts out.

Government personnel in China are acting much more calm, low-key, and apprehensive than in the past. This is someone who obviously didn’t get the memo. I know absolutely from first-hand knowledge a lot of officials are going out of their way to be low-key and their previous extravagance is being put aside to remain under the radar…maybe because of the massive gov’t change, but likely because of the increasing number of incidents like this which are captured on camera (whereas before they just got swept under rugs) which results in their family/assets being assfucked in the end.

I really wish the video was of this dude in (insert country here), the difference would have been breathtaking.

    • pimpinbear

ever saw the video of the old lady in HK airport missing her flight ? you guys should all calm down a bit, bashing officials….massive numbers of incidents? yeah sure, but we must take into account the size and total amount of members of the chinese gov., and i think after you consider that, then you would realize that the total number of misbehaving chinese officials os probably below average on an international comparison scale….its just that chinese like to bitch about each and every piece of crap, but never admitting that they are in fact not much different from their leaders…

      • Hongwu Emperor

Besides, bigger population accounts for more cases also. for example where do you expect more people to be robbed daily? [from pickpocket to armed assaults, etc], Estonia or Japan, for example?? estona has less than 1.5 million people while japan is over 120m… LOL

        • pimpinbear

know what you are trying to say, but its out of context, you talk about the population in general while the subject was officials…however, as a business man, the thing i like about china is that its quite easy here, cause they do thing in a very obvious and blunt way, actually making no big deal about their true intentions and even if they try to hide it, they do it in such a stupid way that its laughable. In my opinion westerners are much more dangerous cause they are much better players, while in china its JUST about the short term money, as soon as possible as much as possible….in china one has to play by the rules, which are quite easy in my opinion compared to liberal senseless money and time wasting policies in the west…

          • El Puma R.

Much better players indeed ! Good luck being a gvt officer in the west and pointing your finger like the guy in the video

      • Eurotrash

Exactly. The chinese have the leaders that they deserve, because they are the same.

    • Dr Sun

He’s a rural small town government official, your right he cant read, so never saw the memo.

  • KAMIKAZIPILOT

I hate little porkers like this, thinking they’re all high and mighty with their little government titles. The security guards are hardly any better. Somebody needs to throw feces in this guy’s face.

    • Hongwu Emperor

It’s the usual ‘my dad is liu gang!’ attitude, this time with an adult. =X

  • I wish he had pulled this stunt in the US or Canada.

    • pimpinbear

you do shit where you think you can get away with it, and thats exactly what he did….that said, there is some rationality, not in his behavior, but in his choice about where and against who….

  • lume
  • YourSupremeCommander

    Indeed a kun.

  • Was anyone ‘endangered’? nope, so why intervene. Was the damage to the door already done? yes, so why intervene. It’s a good show, no one hurt, why should a minimum wage security guard endanger himself/herself to protect a ‘thing’. Guy beats up a door, guy gets arrested, guy goes to jail, guy pays for fixing/replacing door. guy shamed on internet, guy loses cushy, no work, job. Seems like fair punishment. Why the lust for a violent reaction that solves nothing. Most problems are not solved by violence but by photographs. Of course if dopey here rounded on the crowd then the uniforms would need to step up and earn their pay.

    • Archie

Sure, you can say that in hindsight, but had he turned and swung a chair at the poor service girl there and cracked her skull and killed her, I’m certain you would be saying someone should have intervened. It’s fine to sit back and say all is well that ends well after the fact, but the truth of the matter is people like this are unpredictable, and if you don’t stop them in their tracks, who knows what your passiveness will allow to unfold.

      • KAMIKAZIPILOT

Both Steve and yourself made good arguments and you both make a lot of sense. I guess it just depends on the individual. A person who weighs 120 lbs (55 kg) with a wife and children to take care of and a passive personality would be far less likely to get involved than someone who’s 220 lbs (100 kg) with a brash personality and no one to take care of besides himself. As for me, I probably wouldn’t get involved unless he physically hurt someone. Then I’d surely kick him in the groin repeatedly.

        • Archie

Sure, agreed. But someone who is 55kg and is worried about supporting their family shouldn’t go looking to do security work. Can’t stand the heat get the out the chufang!

          • KAMIKAZIPILOT

Actually I was talking about ordinary bystanders, but you’re also right.

          • El Puma R.

lol heat out of the chufang ! xD !

    • don mario

because after all the computers are smashed, he might start picking on bystanders. its simple, this kind of crazy behaviour cant be trusted. if he did this anywhere else he would of been tazered into submission.

  • Archie

Clearly the security personnel are too busy trying to confiscate those oh so threatening cigarette lighters.

    • El Puma R.

They ban them ’cause they know these cunts will smoke no matter what.. what? security? what’s that?

  • Righteous American

Nothing about PLA hackers in the news over there? We’re on the verge of WW3 with China in the news over here.

    • Archie

We don’t have “news” over here. Didn’t you know that?

    • mr.wiener

    • El Puma R.

  • kevin lin

You were late for your flight, who else is it to blame? This kind of behavior is ridiculous, maybe someone needs to find a therapist for him? He seems like he has anger management issues.

    • kaka

Imagine the damage if he’s sent to a therapist by his company, and when he gets there he realises what type of therapist he’s been sent to see, and he’s not there to get a massage and a tit-wank… The only solution to his behaviour is to invent time travel, go back in time, and as he’s growing up – instead of the proud self-satisfied grin and words of encouragement given to him by his parents every time he acts like a “little emperor”, and the abuse those parents give to anyone who dare suggests their “little emperor” needs to start acting like a man and not a spoilt 9 year old girl, give him the thump and the admonishment he deserves…

      • El Puma R.

Fuck it’s so late for that already. They’re raising them exactly as you said right this minute and they won’t stop.

  • It never ceases to amaze me how little Chinese security guards and police become involved in any situation where the trouble-maker’s guanxi is unknown to them. If this happened in LAX, this guy would be convulsing on the floor as soon as he raised his voice. Not that the shoot-first-ask-questions-later policy in the U.S. is that much better.

  • MrT

As usual everything on here out of date, just like a 30+ year old Chinese woman.

  • Jay K.

some guy said shot, nah I don’t think so. My dad was former customs officer at the airport and 2 cousins are TSA agents, aka the dick squad of airports.

just riled up like this they would have just tased him first and let him wiggle then come in for the arrest with a knee to the back and neck, haha…

and yes I do know what the fuck I’m talking about.

    • Hongwu Emperor

It’s because people think that if he messed up or created a fuss, he would be instantly machine gunned or something lol.

And those guys are talking about the US or the khmer rouge??…

  • Germandude

This awkward moment one figures out that he is also just human no matter which title he holds…

  • willie miller

If you want to meet some of the biggest c*nts in the world then get on a domestic flight in China.

    • Hongwu Emperor

A good scenario would be having rather tranquil and calm officials that doesn’t needed a tazer,a bolo, or the usage of force to restrain it. =)

Instead of that, having ‘normal’ people that doesnt want to burn out the airport out of a tantrum would be interesting.

  • mr.wiener

all I want for Christmas is to see this guy go to America and try this…..
    “Don’t taze me again please!!….aaargh!!!”
Chance should be so fine a thing.

  • La Mano Gaucha

Fairly average mainlander behavior… the savage and the gawkers.

  • Paul Schoe

Thanks for posting the info of the infamous Yan Linkun; he makes so clear how ‘reasonable’ some the senior management in China is. I often feel sorry for clerks, ticket sellers, waiters, train and airport staff, when I see what type of behavior they have to accept from these ‘upright’ citizens who are supposed to present an example of an harmonious society.

Anyway, I have some new vocabulary now. When I see people severely mistreating service-staff again, I will say: “another one who goes Yan Linkun Style “.

It will be interesting to see what his company will do with him (he is deputy chairman of Yunnan Mining Comp.). They suspended him, but it will be worthwhile to know if they dare to keep him. He is not really the best example for his employees on how to deal with frustrations at work ;-)

  • Appalled@everything

Incredible. The TSA would have had him tazered and cuffed and behind soundproof walls for simply picking up that keyboard, not that he would even have been able to approach the kiosk so closely. A guard would have been watching him and the second his behavior looked aggressive he would have been done. Yet here in China he did so much damage, and for so long, and not one single person intervened. Blows my mind.

Oh and a more stellar couple of parental role-models you surely will not find.

    • Yeah, this guy would not last long in a U.S. airport.

  • kaka

Petulant man-child dressed like an extra from Miami-Vice, over-preened and over-dressed, but still looking like she got dressed in the dark, middle aged women who thinks she is some sort of imperial courtesan, a fat kid (or two) pissing-around on some electrical device, lots of shouting, gesticulating, posturing, and a complete absence of “shame” about what this behaviour looks like to others (because Chinese mianzi and western “face” are not the same)… and a complete absence of what to do from everyone around who should be fully trained to deal with such situations as a pre-requisite for them being in that position in the first place… seems like a completely normal every-day incident in China to me…

  • PandaPanda

In this day and age with cameras and phones everywhere, these idiots ought to know better. If Xi Jinping was serious about all his hot air talk of a new start, then he’d make sure offenders in high profile cases like this were fired on the spot, put in a cell for the mandatory 15 days and made to pay compensation and say sorry. Only way others will learn,,,

  • garbo

I can see him getting angry, airport staff can be annoying in China. When I was going to India the stupid b**** at the counter said I had to wait two months. It was clearly stamped in my passport that I had last been there 6 months ago. I pointed to my passport and made her shy. Then I said to my husband that they always do that and that’s why there are so few foreigners in a Beijing. These days I love making women here shy.

  • El Puma R.

It’s not just this guy… a whole lot of people in China want to be government officers, drop their child at grandpa’s and go show off their wives with new clothes and 2 iphones at the shopping mall everyday. Leaders are just a mere reflection of the people they lead, and nothing else.

A whiny little cunt with a bought title and his wife who can’t do anything else but scream on the phone.
I really used to love living here in China but it makes me very sad to say their people are getting worse by the minute and I due to my enormous disappointment with almost everyone I’ve decided to leave and take my Chinese wife with me before it’s too late to save her from your irremediable chineseness.

If I’d see you guys getting better then I’d stay, but having a car is no sign of progress when you are stuck on the traffic all the time.

One thing I’m sure of is that there’s no emperor safe from extinction.

    • Alphy

Well I think one of the main problem is that most citizens have no respect for public goods. And as many of the netizens are hinting to, the more power they have the worst they get. I will throw garbage where I want, I will drive into wherever I want, etc. Disrupting other people’s lives, property, job is not a big deal as long as you don’t know them or won’t get caught.

Many claim it has to do with population density, but I call that BS, as I don’t see the same thing in many other metropolitan cities in the world. It has a lot more to do with regulation, and public discipline. This guy wouldn’t try to pull the same crap in most other countries, it is because he knows he can get away with it that he act like this. Just like how driver here knows they can get away with driving on the opposite side of the traffic in rush hour, so they do it.

      • linette lee

………… most citizens have no respect for public goods. And as many of the netizens are hinting to, the more power they have the worst they get. I will throw garbage where I want………………..

That is because the china gov’t system is not there to serve its people. It’s there to rule over the people. And majority of the china gov’t officials are family members and lack the skill and education to serve. They are there to steal money and not to keep things in good order or try to improve the system. No one work to maintain good order no china citizens follow order. Littering in the public, Spitting in the public, driving like a maniac…running people over, stealing dogs and cats to eat, bribe your way out of conviction, etc…

Crazy. who wants to live under a gov’t like that?

  • filabusta

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA…. whew…. man that’s funny. Only in China. I tried to look at this video on CNN yesterday and it was blocked.

  • Chinamark

    Wait till he tries Ryanair.

      word.

First a riot and now this. Kunming airport wasn’t nearly so rowdy when I went there a few months ago.

    • pimpinbear

of course the ones rioting must have been all gov officials !!! I am pretty sure, cause i learned from Linette that its never the poor peoples fault and the only ones misbehaving in public are officials! how dare this officials smash counters and release their pressure towards the ground staff and jeopardising the health of the many children and elderly trapped inside….no doubt, these must have been corrupted gov officials…:-)

Fuck, i rather witness a misbehaving official from time to time, then the ordinary peasant go crazy in public…

  • manujoro

Don’t you just love it when any sort of conflict happens in China, the first thing people do is take out their phones and start calling somebody. From my experience they usually call their buddies, especially if the conflict is about the escalate in a fight.

But I wonder in this case who the woman was calling… The police? Their party friends?

    Any thoughts?

  • thakkudu

from the fact that whole family was angry and acting crazy…. i guess.. we cannot rule out a small chance that the airport staff has some serious communication mistake/issue…..

  • Wow, Kunming must be a really shitty place to want to get out of there so bad.

  • alien

haha man, someone please show me something good about China. I mean what a goofball. If you miss a flight, oh well. what can ya do? Buy another ticket.

try this at O’hare International airport and I am sure the TSA would have beagles so far up your ass you would think it was your mistress.

  • swavyq

The wife immediately, IMMEDIATELY, is on her phone – as is always the case in China – but what I want to know is… who do these people call? I mean, does she have a “boarding gate closed problem” number on speed-dial ?

  • njren

I thought it was just a random provincial Party hack blowing a fuse, but then saw his wife and their two teenaged boys were part of the equation…always nice to see families spending quality time together.
