However, the essay also mentions Xiang Huaqiang aka http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Heung” target=”_blank”>Charles Heung, the Hong Kong movie and television big shot who once played Lung Wu in God of Gamblers and has worked together with Stephen Chow for years, as having an organized crime background, which made Heung’s wife Chen Lan aka Tiffany Chen quite unhappy. During an interview with Hong Kong media on Septemner 8th, she bombarded Stephen Chow with five charges, including that he had once forced Zhang Bozhi aka Cecilia Cheung to shave her entire head, and said, “I’m not afraid of falling out with him, I want to expose his true face,” causing a major uproar in Hong Kong’s media circle.

Zhang Jiahui aka Nick Cheung: I’m not familiar [close] with Stephen Chow

Recently, Stephen Chow was blasted for having problems with his character. Nick Cheung, who had worked with Stephen Chow in the movie The Tricky Master, said: “He is a very talented actor, but I don’t know much about his character. In fact, we very rarely interact with each other. I think friends should have a deep understanding of each other, and actually I’m not very familiar/close with him.”

Ren Dahua aka Simon Yam: Supports Mrs. Heung as a righteous person and a good person

Simon Yam says: “I’m not close to Mr. Chow, nor have we worked together before, so I can’t comment too much, but what I can say is that Mrs. Heung is a very righteous person. I often say friends are the most important, and someone with a lot of friends definitely can’t be a bad person, so Mrs. Heung is definitely a good person.” He also expressed that he has previously heard things about Stephen Chow from the mouth of Wu Mengda aka Ng Man-tat, but he feels it was in the past and thus doesn’t won’t say too much about it.

Liu Qingyun aka Sean Lau: Strongly supports Charles Heung and wife as good people

Sean Lau attended an event and was asked for his view on the dispute between Stephen Chow and Charles Heung’s wife Tiffany Chen. Sean Lau indicated that he had worked with Stephen Chow in television before many years ago, but has not worked together on a movie, so he doesn’t know him very well. However, when discussing Charles Heung and his wife, he said strongly, “Heung is a good boss, is very polite with everyone, and after so many years at China Star, they have treated my wife and I very well.”

Grandpa Chow is talented and skilled, and should be given my support.

I don’t care about Stephen Chow’s personal character, but I’ve watched every single one of his movies tens of times each. His personal character being good or bad is none of my damn business, but his movies are definitely the best. No matter who vilifies Stephen Chow, I will still adore his movies. How he behaves, to be honest, is none of our damn business. Moreover, the gifted and the genius are always different from others [normal people].

Those three major movie stars said they aren’t close, which is just being honest. They said you, Mrs. Heung, is a good person, but they didn’t say Stephen Chow is bad!

Once you know who Charles Heung is, you’ll understand why they are all no longer close with Stephen Chow.

Strongly support Grandpa Chow as a good person. Grandpa Chow has an eccentric personality, which is why he isn’t likable, and these people are really just hitting a person who is already down!

karen2410 [网易江西省手机网友]:

What do I care if his character is good or bad. It’s not like I interact with him. I just like his films…

Grandpa Chow is my absolute favorite entertainment celebrity, not just one of them.

网易广东省东莞市网友(113.105.*.*):

Without a doubt, Stephen Chow’s character is the lousiest among those in the entertainment circles. He’s arrogant, bullies the weaker stars, always makes himself the center of everything, treating others like dogs. That’s why it’s said: Those outside of the industry look at one’s work, while those inside the industry look at one’s character. From these deeds, it can be seen that Stephen Chow’s character is so rotten that it can’t be any more rotten. A woman stayed by his side for years but in the end, instead of marrying her, he even wanted to go to court against her.

网易四川省成都市网友 ip:124.161.*.* (responding to above)

You don’t know what character is! Even married people get divorced, that’s not something to be dragged into this. I really understand Grandpa Chow, he simply doesn’t attach importance to fake interpersonal relationships like friends. His puts his mind only on creating the world in his heart/mind! You and Stephen Chow are people from different worlds, so you can’t understand him.

This comment sums up my thoughts on the whole thing. His movies are brilliant, same with Jackie Chan. Who cares about their personal lives?

    • Boris

My Ex-boss claimed he worked/met with Jackie Chan. Said he didn’t like the guy by the way he treated others when the camera wasn’t on him.

But the comments are probably true. I don’t really give a feck about his private life, just as long as he entertains me in his movies, its cool. Sadly, he hasn’t even been doing that recently.

    • Joe

seriously i bet many hollywood hotshots are complete assholes in real life

The stories I’ve heard are quite depressing.

How perceptive. They don't want to offend Mrs Heung because what has been said about her husband is probably true. Their careers depend on the China Star boss.

    • James Spader

Noticed something??? They said Mrs Heung is good person…could be true…but didn’t say Stephen Chow is bad person…AND they NEVER SAID MR HEUNG IS GOOD PERSON. Wahahahahaha!!!!

It would be a nice gesture if they didn’t exercise a campaign to slander and discredit other countries all year long.

I don’t get the Charge against him “forcing Celia Chiung to shave her head”…wasn’t that for the role of a nun/goalkeeper in Shaolin Football”?
I’m pretty sure Stephen Chow has more kinks in his system than a cat on crank, but he is a comedic genius and I love his films. I have no opinion on the whole spat with Charles Heung, But apparently the Hong Kong film circuit can’t stay out of this celebrity pig f*ck.

    • Joe

dunno about her head, but there is a place she do needs to shave.

Agreed, saw her “pics” waaaaay back and damn! she got more bush than bush

It’s like saying “she eats anything, therefore she must know food”. It just means she have no integrity and accept any garbage that comes her way.

She’s also extremely rich and well connected to the HK entertainment industry. Boy, sure is tough to make friends in those conditions. How does she do it?

  • Irvin

I think 星爷 is better translate as XingYe than “grandpa chow”. “Ye” in the context of his name represent respect while “grandpa” usually represent “old”.

I do agreed that it really doesn’t matter if his character sucks, it doesn’t take away the entertainment values while watching his movies.
