Malaysia Confirms Identities of MH370 Stolen Passport Passengers

Malaysian Transportation Minister Hishammuddin Hussein.

Currently the top most discussed article of the day on popular Chinese web portal NetEase…

From NetEase:

Malaysia: Identity of the Two Passengers Who Boarded the Plane with Stolen Passports Confirmed

ChinaNews March 9 report — Combined from foreign media information, the identities of the two passengers who boarded the Malaysia Airlines passenger plane flight MH370 that vanished have already been confirmed, as well as sent to the Malaysian intelligence agency and international intelligence agency organization, but authorities’ most important task is to find the missing passenger aircraft.

Malaysian Transportation Minister Hishammuddin Hussein says authorities already have images of the two people from CCTV footage, but their nationality will not be made public.

From NetEase:

renkcn [网易黑龙江省哈尔滨市网友]:

Why can’t the nationalities be made public?

我是克格勃 [网易内蒙古呼和浩特市网友]: (responding to above)

Must’ve received a request from the relevant country.

网易四川省成都市网友 ip:118.122.*.*:

For what reason they can’t be made public? You can’t find your plane! It was you who let the people pass [board]! 239 lives, you think this is a private/internal matter? It is not up to you to not make it public! You’re just asking for it! Are you protecting your own?

网易山东省枣庄市网友 ip:222.175.*.*:

I bet it’s information determined/confirmed by the American using technology… The matter is serious now. Based on common sense, they should make public the details and identities in order to placate the various speculations. Now that they don’t make it public, there’s something suspicious about it.

网易上海市青浦区网友 ip:114.83.*.*:

We’re not that much closer to the truth [closer to learning what happened].

7788352 [网易法国网友]:

Nationality you don’t need to make public, but you can make public a picture at least.

网易广东省广州市手机网友 ip:117.136.*.*:

Those two who pretended to be “Italian” and “Austrian” must’ve been Chinese people (which ethnic group I won’t say), and because they don’t know English, that’s why they booked tickets for this flight from the China Southern website. If they were foreigners, they could’ve just booked it on the Malaysia Airlines website.

网易福建省手机网友 ip:112.5.*.*:

There are even S13s asking about nationality? It’d make more sense for you people to ask about the two people’s ethnicity.

网易吉林省长春市手机网友 ip:124.235.*.*:

Allow me to express some support for Dragon TV, for postponing all of their [normally scheduled television] programs and then continuous broadcasts of the latest news in the search. Now look at the crap CCTV 1, CCTV 13, and Beijing TV are broadcasting!

新浪让包子飞y [网易四川省雅安市手机网友]:

Did these two ever think about how they would get past the security check in Beijing?

Nationality? So that they can have a reason to generalize whole groups of people?
These netizens never cease to amaze me.
I still think this was either a sophisticated well planned hijacking or a freak phenomenon (wormholes, inter-dimensional travel). Sounds insane but the universe is strange. Anything is possible.
I only hope I’m wrong and the families get some closure. No greater pain than not knowing what the hell happened.

    • Taoran

Unfortunately it’s very common in China to think in terms of nationalities rather than individuals. Individuality is still a rather new concept in China…

      • Mighty曹

Even ‘region-ality’. They think all the people from one region are the same.

        • Alex Dương

If you’re from Inner Mongolia, that means you haze new recruits.

          • Mighty曹

If you’re from Shanghai you’re all talk but no action.

          • YourSupremeCommander

And if you are here, you all are under my command.

          • Mighty曹

Nope, I’ll snatch your helmet, wear it and assume command.

      • Insomnicide

The west is no different, seeing how so many people here classify Chinese people as one.

        • xiaode

No, that´s because Chinese usually classify themselves as one!
If I am telling a Chinese: “look, that person just shit on the street like a dog…” The reaction is usually that I am accused to “look down on Chinese person”…
In my experience it´s very difficult for Chinese to understand / see that if I am blaming someone or something here, that I am not blaming every individual.

          • cantonizi

Well just because you were a racist far too long to notice but you do notice a China person “shit on the street like a dog…” and not knowing that you look for it.
Try that in NYC or L.A. next time and see what will your racist ass gonna look like to a China man.

          • xiaode

never been to the States, but I don´t doubt you can see this behavior there as well.
I am far away from being a racist! And the sentence was – by the way – just an example. Same happens if you are saying that the street is very dirty, or that the behavior of some people suck!
You totally missed my point, but thanks for the comment anyway… kind of proved what I wanted to say…

        • Gordon Gogodancer

Well, since the first time i came to China 7 years ago i spoke to many many Chinese people and the ideas, prejudices, cliches that keep coming up all the time and the habit that many seem to have to speak in the name of the entirety of China indeed led me to think that i was repeating the same conversation over and over again while when you speak to the kids of the West…well sorry for the favoritism..but you actually sometime hear stuff new.

      • JankyFosci

Ironically, you’re posting this on CHINASMACK, a website known for foreigners bashing Chinese as a single group.

        • Gordon Gogodancer

bullshit..you’re just taking what a few people here say about China and make it sound like that’s what everybody thinks here.

          • JankyFosci

Don’t even. Look at the top comments for every article in the last year and you’ll see I’m right. “A few” apparently represents all the top voted comments.

    • kkw

You talk about wormholes and look down on people who suspect terrorism? Did you just get out of a mental institution?
Plus it all started with 9/11, after that most of the population in western countries associated terrorists with arabs.

      • Nilerafter24

What? What are you talking about? When did I look down on people who suspect terrorism?
        I quote myself:
”I still think this was either a sophisticated well planned hijacking…”
I myself believe they may be foul play i.e. terrorism.
No need for the insulting rhetorical question.
Assuming all terrorists are Arabs or that all Arabs are terrorists is clear sign of paranoia. Such generalizations are what cause racial and inter-ethnic animosity. The netizens’ need to find a whole nationality to blame goes to show just how myopic their world views are.

  • Mighty曹

This tragedy started with a mysterious disappearance. Not disclosing the identifies of two possible culprits just adds to the intrigue.

  • YourSupremeCommander

Nationality is irrelevent this day and age. You could be American and look Asian or Arab; be French and look like someone from Nigeria; or be Chinese and look like a rapper with a giant red hat.

    • donscarletti

Or you could be Chinese and look Turkish, which is what most netizens here seem to suspect.

Though I’m relieved when I read this comment “Did these two ever think about how they would get past the security check in Beijing?”, it shows not everybody simply assumes that someone with fake travel documents must have blown up the plane without waiting for more evidence.

      • Rick in China

I was thinking the other direction on that one – that there must have been a pretty clear reason why they *didn’t* board the plane – either 1) arranged for a ‘disintegration in air’ or 2) felt uneasy about their circumstance with the fakies at that point.

        • ESL Ninja

          They *did* board the plane.

          • Rick in China

Oh – I guess I merged the 5 non-boarders and the 2 fake passports into 2 crossed over identities. Well, ok then – those 2 dudes were Iranians so lets blame hezbollah!

          • Nessquick Choco

            Hizbolah is Lebanese :)

          • Rick in China

“Hezbollah (which means Party of God, in Arabic), an Islamist Shiite militia based in Lebanon, is a direct product of Iran. It was formally established in 1982 following the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, aimed at uprooting the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization) bases there. Iran sent Revolutionary Guard Corps members to assist in the war. A generation later, the relationship between Iran and Hezbollah is not entirely transparent, so it is not clear whether Hezbollah should be considered a full proxy for Iranian intentions. However, Iran funds, arms and trains Hezbollah, in large part through the IRGC.”

    • franko

Only fags believe that. In Europe, 90% of us laugh inside when the media portray some Swahili-speaking buck and smugly refer to him as a ‘Frenchman’. America is an acceptable exception but do not try and force that non-ethnic definition of nationality bullshit onto Europe or even China for that matter. No serious person thinks a white living in Beijing for 15 years is a ‘Chinese’…

      • YourSupremeCommander

White person in china is on temporary status, as in working there or living there for a few years, not as immigrants. I was talking about people who have immigrated or was born in a foreign country, and consider it their own country.

A white person living in BJ for 15 years usually means they got rejected back home and can only find self worth somewhere else. And if you are not yet a fag, well what are you waiting for?!

        • donscarletti

Or they could, you know, actually like China/Beijing.

          • YourSupremeCommander

Look, someone from New Zealand is actually going to love the smog and the pollution of Beijing? You serious right?

          • donscarletti

I am not expecting a New Zealander to love the smog, but they might love:
            – Scores of unique and exciting regional cuisines from all over China at affordable prices, rather than Fish and Chips, Meat Pies and roast lamb.
            – An enormous subway system that takes you anywhere for NZ$0.40, in less time than it takes to drive over Auckland harbour bridge.
            – The excitement of rapid social, geographical and ecconomic change, rather than general rural sleepiness.
            – Shops open until late rather than mostly closing at 5pm.
            – Many grand, monumental buildings built before New Zealand even was inhabited by Maoris.
            – An abundance of young women who are beautiful, promiscuous or both, that value different traits in a man than Kiwi ladies.
            – Employment in industries that simply do not exist in NZ.
            – Combination of public transport and cheap taxis meaning one never has to drive anywhere.

It strikes me as New Zealand is exactly the sort of place that someone who wants to live in Beijing might come from. Sometimes you just want the opposite to the environment you were brought up with; not everyone loves fields, mountains, beer and various types of birds, some prefer excitement, culture or sleeze.

        • franko

Yes, I know what you were talking about. And unlike white people in China, our immigrants have been kind enough to have many children in Europe so it is of course a well-known debate.

But despite your insistence, the group of people in this photograph are not European nor can they ever be. http://ciyaaro.com/portal/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/somali-uk.jpg I am supportive of free trade and international brotherhood but this destruction of our nations must stop.

          • Zappa Frank

they cannot be Europeans because they are not whites? Dumas and Puskin were not French and Russian?
I agree that there are MANY problems, sure, but I don’t think that the racial trait is that important..
Our culture is important sure, but cultures are not something that never change..

          • franko

Dumas and Pushkin I have no problem with. Obviously a small number of foreigners pose absolutely no threat, especially when we consider that the culture at the time was very patriotic. However, when we combine the subversive, pro-globalist/anti-national, anti-tradition sentiment ruling over Western society with the tens of millions of non-Euro immigrants, it produces a dangerous cocktail of foreign populations who resent their host country (and apparently I must do something for them about this) and a host society which has lost the balls to tell them to adapt or die.

As for racial trait, of course it is a problem when it is on such a large scale. You can pretend to be an autist and scream that ‘THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IF 1/3 OF FRENCH BABIES ARE BLACK’ but we all know very well that this is a tragedy about which the common proles were never consulted and would never have agreed to.

          • cantonizi

Worst than whites are the black and Indian Brits, the ones with their noses up in the air when they come to Hong Kong and act like some old white colonial masters.
Who do they think they are, some British lord or what?

    Thought id share this:
Quote “Taiwan alerted China of potential attack on Beijing Int’l Airport in days before MH370 disappearance”

“The Taiwanese Aviation Police Bureau reportedly alerted China’s
aviation regulators and Beijing authorities of a potential attack on
Beijing Capital International Airport sometime last week, in the days
before Malaysian Airlines flight 370 went missing while en route to the city.

    Bloomberg broke the story
earlier today, and cited Ko Chang-liang, Taiwan’s Aviation Police
Bureau deputy chief, who stated that, “We cannot say the attack warning
is related to the missing Malaysian jet at this moment.” Nevertheless,
this report potentially backs-up reports that MH370’s disappearance
could be linked to a terror-attack gone awry, although it’s probably
safer to hold off on wild speculation.

A Taiwanese airline was contacted by a member of “a French
anti-terrorism organization [who] said he called the airline after
failing to reach Beijing airport authorities,” and the call was relayed
to Taiwanese authorities who later contacted Beijing. Whether or not the
attack rumors are linked to MH370—and if so, whether or not further
investigation could have saved the flight—still remains to be seen.”

      Accident: crashed into an UFO.
All the countries are in a mad race right now to locate the UFO wreckage, whoever harnesses the alien technology first will no doubt rule the world. The plane and the people onboard have been on the backburner since day one.

Hijack: by an UFO, and are currently negotiating with them the terms.
If it was a hijack, I surely hope at this point they have gotten in touch with all the Avengers and that they are ready to go at a moments notice in case negotiations fall apart.

well this is understandable.. there is no need to be racist saying so.. no one want his culture to get erased. And in the same time, in my opinion, is true that white people allow some kind of things that no one else would ever allow in his countries.. as result we even have to come here on chinasmack and find some people that keep on saying that whites are racist.. maybe, but a lot less than yellows or blacks..

That’s some pretty good English for a French person. Strangely enough that sentence in French doesn’t sound like something a French person would say, in my opinion, but more like what a foreigner would think a French person would say. I think most nationalists would not consider their country being re-populated by another group of people any better than being completely deserted.

However, in fairness, right-wingers (especially the religious ones) do tend to reproduce more than liberals, so by instilling conservative values into their many children, they have a credible solution to depopulation too.

But there are still literally millions of children born in this continent each year, there is no danger of countries ‘dying out’. Even the worse situations, like in Serbia, will see a reduction from 7 million to 5 million in 50 fifty years. By then, they will do something about it.
