Companies Turning Public Relations Crises Into Marketing Opportunities

Recently, whenever a large Chinese company experiences public relations problems, its competitors will take advantage of the situation and use it as a chance to advertise, a phenomenon which is becoming more and more common. Last week, Ctrip, one of the largest travel agencies in China, experienced server problems that affected service on their website and app. Ali Travel was one of the first to make a post commenting on Ctrip’s crash, saying that Ctrip’s customers could temporarily use their service until Ctrip was back up.

    It does nto take a downed server to drive people away from CTrip, they do it all by themselves. If there were another alternative, nobody in their right mind would ever use them.
