Divorce Rate Increases For 12 Years, Social Utilities Blamed

Recently the Ministry of Civil Affairs issued the “2014 Social Security Growth Statistics Bulletin”, revealing that 3,637,000 couples filed for divorce last year, thus marking the 12th consecutive year that divorce rates have increased. “Flash” marriages and divorces are also on the up, with Haidian and Chaoyang in Beijing being the districts with the highest divorce numbers.
