Doctor Leaves Note At Shift Change, Moves Many
A doctor at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University left a note on ending his shift which has moved a lot of people. As well as keeping the next doctor abreast of patients’ circumstances, Dr. Huang also wrote, “Look after the pediatric doctor in clinic 5”. Hospital worker Mr. Peng explained that the comment stemmed from a previous incident in which a disgruntled father threatened staff with a knife after his young daughter died from an illness at the hospital, and that Huang was just looking out for the pregnant doctor. One netizen said that punishments for unruly customers are too light.

Doing his job properly qualifies as moving?

    • Vance

      Is it that unusual?

      • Jahar

Well, yeah. I don’t usually find it moving when a doctor does his job. Do you?

        • Bman

I fully respect doctors. But the apathy, distrust and poor bedside manner I’ve heard about from friends really hits you when you’re already down.

Is it so unusual for a doctor to do his job that people are moved that he did?

          • David

Yes, I think that is the point.
