Man On Man Rape Case

Man On Man Rape Case

A man was arrested for raping an older man who was keeping watch over an orchard In Jiujiang. This case has created a lot of attention among Chinese netizens, because an adult man raping an adult man is a difficult crime to classify. One lawyer says that even if the perpetrator is put to trial for the crime, it probably won’t be classified as a rape. If the perpetrator wounded the victim in some way he could be tried for that, but man on man rape isn’t technically illegal under Chinese law. Netizens say that if he is sent to prison it would be just like sending him to a brothel.

Sigh . . . more extreme ignorance in China. I’m talking about the law where it technically isn’t illegal for a man to rape another man. This ranks right up there with 1) no need to wear seat belts because I’ve never worn them before and nothing bad ever happened 2) No asian person in the world can possibly speak perfect English 3) just about every stereotype of every foreigner group 4) Chinese have 80,000 years of history so they’re no doubt the greatest civilization ever.
