Official On Probation After Lewd Elevator Video Exposed

The chief of the Qingjian Bureau of Work Safety has been stripped of his position and placed on probation for two years after a dubious video of him embracing a female in an elevator sparked an investigation. The Qingjian Commission for Discipline Inspection found that Meng Yinjun had “engaged in indecent behavior with the opposite sex in a public place, committed adultery, diverted public funds for personal travel, gifts, tobacco and alcohol, accepted monetary gifts and presents, abused authority and accepted “donations” from companies he oversaw. One netizen said the ruling just amounted to paid leave.
