Police Ask Prosecutor’s Office To Intervene In Murder Case

Xingtai Police have requested that the Prosecutor’s Office get involved in a recent double murder case of a mother and daughter that took place at Huangsi local police station. Cao Zhenqi is accused of stabbing his wife Cao Jianfang and stepmother Guo Suping to death in a sudden attack after a dispute. The intervention will help determine if staff conduct at the station was “unlawful” after it was reported officers were not present at the time. If so, Cao Jianfang’s father will be able to apply for state compensation. One netizen thought the term “negligent” more appropriate than “unlawful”.
