Religious Affairs Bureau Deputy Director Under Investigation
The Chinese Communist Party Central Discipline Committee has released news via its website that the deputy director of the State Administration for Religious Affairs is under investigation on suspicion of serious violation of discipline. The suspect, Zhang Lebin, first entered the department in 2003, and has been in his current position since 2010. His last public appearance was in December 2014 when he attended the National Religious Work Conference in Beijing. Many netizens associated the news with Shaolin Abbot Shi Yongxin, who has had various incriminating documents about him leaked.
