Taiyuan officers on trial for “Hair Trampling” incident

Last December, a female migrant worker in Taiyuan was beaten to death by the police for demanding unpaid wages. Circulated videos and photos recorded police officers trampling on the woman’s hair, which triggered widespread outrage from netizens. The three police officers involved were charged with intentional assault and abuse of power. In addition, the former station chief was removed from his post in the Party and demoted from his position. A netizen writes, “I believe in the law, justice, fairness, and the court, but even more I hope that such a thing never happens again.”

When trampling on the masses… one should never look too comfortable.

I can see the party boss now “The beating to death was good, I got my wages kickback for that but then you got photographed trampling on her hair. What is wrong with you guys?”
