University Ad Plagiarism Controversy

Fudan University launched a new promotional video in order to celebrate its 110th anniversary. But the video was extremely similar to a video shot by Tokyo University, so netizens have accused Fudan University of plaigirism. Fudan University’s Vice President of Propaganda Department has fully denied that the ad is plagiarised, saying “the creative process was completely independent.” Netizens think they definitely plagiarized, which isn’t a problem if they just admit it, as it would make them seem courageous. Others think that the two schools are so different that it just doesn’t matter and the issue doesn’t require comment.
