A girlfriend asks her boyfriend a question: why do you like me?

The following comic about a girlfriend asking her boyfriend why he likes her and what he sees in her is a trending microblog post on Chinese social network Sina Weibo. It was posted by Chinese netizen @妖妖小精, who currently has over 3.3 million followers.

We have translated her popular posts twice before, one involving faithful dog of a Korean granny and the other about the memory of a dead Korean wife.

Similarly, this post also originated from Korea, and specifically from a Korean comic.

Presumably the original Korean has been translated into Chinese (and here now translated from Chinese into English), but it has also been edited from the original…

From Sina Weibo:

@妖妖小精: Darling~~~ why were you attracted to me~~?

窝只是改名字不想被二次元关注:

I’ve really done such a thing… An ex-boyfriend one day asked me, “How come you don’t care a bit about me after we’ve gotten together> I think you need to think about why we are together.” I thought for a whole night, and apart from his looks, there was nothing else about him that attracted me, so the next day I brought up breaking up…

屯里最帅的:

Godly/legendary ending [doge] I like [doge]

Fauna is a mysterious young Shanghainese girl who lives in the only place a Shanghainese person would ever want to live: Shanghai. In mid-2008, she started chinaSMACK to combine her hobby of browsing Chinese internet forums with her goal of improving her English. Through her tireless translation of popular Chinese internet news and phenomenon, her English has apparently gotten dramatically better. At least, reading and writing-wise. Unfortunately, she's still not confident enough to have written this bio, about herself, by herself.
