New Largest Wooden Roller-Coaster Uses American Materials

Tourists in Wuhu, Anhui recently test-rode a new wooden roller-coaster which is the largest of its kind in East China. The construction, which is 1060m long and features a 32m drop is entirely pieced together with American wood with the exception of its base. Reaching speeds of up to 91km/h, one test rider said he didn’t dare open his eyes, with the drop feeling like falling into an abyss. Some netizens questioned the safety of the construction, whilst some were angered at the fact that American timber was used, asking what was wrong with Chinese wood.
