Chris is an overweight, adorable pug that currently lives in Beijing, China. After getting ants in his pants about staying in Washington state, he went to China to travel, study and work. He's studied Chinese for more time than he cares to remember and translates for chinaSMACK and other organizations.Chris currently works at the Beijing office of Shambhala, a development non-profit. Ping, a native of China, grew up near Mount Everest and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in the US. Her interests are news reporting, column writing, and media ethics. Ping’s exposure to the Western world has allowed her to observe many cultural differences when compared to Eastern society as well as some misunderstandings about China in particular. Her experience motivates her to seek a career as a journalist in Tibet after she completes her studies in America.
