Tonight, I just notice the Wall Street Journal linked to chinaSMACK.
I am very flattered and want to thank Sky Canaves for mentioning my blog…on the Wall Street Journal!
I also really want to thank:
- Ryan from Lost Laowai because WSJ find chinaSMACK through him;
- James Creegan from Shanghaiist;
- Shinohara from Digital Magazine in Japan who translate some of chinaSMACK posts into Japanese. Too bad I do not know how to read Japanese…; and
- Everyone else who comment, rate, vote, or link to chinaSMACK.
Thank you very much! I am very happy many people think my blog is interesting. I will work hard to continue doing a good job.

Loving your blog, I haven’t seen this kind of insight into online Chinese culture anywhere else.
Hi just want to say I also enjoy this blog to see what’s going on on chinese forums/blogs. But…are there other BBS’s you can post popular threads from? This KDS one seems like there are too many immature boys whose comments don’t seem very interesting. How about a forum with an older crowd or a higher number of female users?
Thanks!
