Are you in Shanghai? Would you like to join together and watch Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen? The movie will be released in China on 24 June, Wednesday. I think it will be a very exciting movie!
If you are interested, please leave a comment and vote for which days you are able to go below ASAP. You can choose more than one day. I will try to arrange with the cinemas something special but there will probably only be a limited number of seats. I will have more information later.
Also, if people are interested, I can try to arrange something after the movie also. Please let me know if your comment.

DAMMIT! IM STUCK IN THE US! T_T
same here.. DAMN!
I’m flying into the city on the 24th. If this goes down in the weekend I’d be able to come.
can make it during weekend…
…. weird, but interesting, maybe over the weekend.
aww I want to go! But I’m going to midnight session at IMAX in Sydney … if there is IMAX in Shanghai I’ll go hahah
There’s an Imax over here…I dorked myself out and watched Star Trek like 5 times. Awesome (except for the chinese ppl talking during the movie…damn, I had to tell them to shut up every time I went; some guy was even working on his laptop during the movie. I can see why guns are not allowed here. If there were, it would be 50x worse than the States!)!
this is great! imax or nt imax would be fine fauna.
Willl this be in English or …………..do i have to listen transformers shouting in “che cha ki ma hu”.what ever tht means
It’ll be English with Chinese subtitles.
Or there will be a riot.
I’d prefer to watch in IMAX! :-)
does this we will learn Fauna’s true identity, or will she be wearing a mask?
DUDE!
lets all get arrested! good idea fauna
You read my mind. Something tells me slipping a few 100 RMB would take care of everything. Viva la China!
LoL! See “DUDE” above. That’ll confound the bastards!
In all seriousness, though, we’re not going to get any hassle from the cops unless some of you plan on causing some kinda scene. C’mon, we’d just be another group of people going to the movies, no big deal. Don’t be THAT paranoid. :)
Any day is fine. University is done on June 19.
Also, don’t forget about us bumpkin Beijingers…we have an Imax too.
Yeh, I’d be up for it… but if something is going to be arranged, then PLEASE make it clear that smoking, and talking throughout the entire film is NOT OK!
And try to find that guy in China who knows how to put a projector in focus….. you know… that guy… that ONE guy.
无册那,无老欢喜饿呀!!!
up up up! linkin park is the best!
@kai
police called my house/came to my work after i used a proxy to look at aiweiweis blog, said if i do it again they will ban me from china for 5 years…my phone and internet is tapped now, i have reason for paranoia but i hope u are right
came to my house too, sorry
Wow, you got questioned about a specific website you’d been to? That’s scary man. Can I ask what you do for work? I mean, are you a journalist or something “sensitive” like that?
I feel like everything I do online is probably monitored somehow in a general way, but it never really crossed my mind that the cops could show up at the door…
I better go back to wearing my hat made from aluminum foil so they can’t read my thoughts
i do business, my moms here as a principal for a school. she got fired after the police came to question her at her work
Damn, yeah, I’d say you have a reason for paranoia. Pretty curious as to why they’d bother. You’re located in Shanghai too, right?
i’m in guangzhou panyu now
I’ve used my network at home and work to access…well, pretty much everything possibly forbidden at some point or another over the last 6 years. I’ve never had any contact about anything I’ve done on the net that may be perceived as ‘bad’, nor has anyone I know…plus, if you used a proxy, I assume it was at worst an encrypted CGI web proxy or something of the ilk, or at best a private VPN connection to an outside connection set up as default gateway – to which extent I doubt they’d find a connection to aiweiwei’s blog, trace it through to the pc you proxy from, hack it and find out what IP you tunneled from, and trace it back to you. The bottom line is, they don’t want to “keep the world” from foreigners, they want to “keep the world” from the masses. I don’t believe what happened is as you say…
i’d give you their contact information but everyone i know is keeping there distances from me and i dont blame them :) im flying to usa in a week
Wicked cool… In Shanghai now and hopping to meet everyone
I would love to go on Wednesday or as soon as possible. This movie will be wicked!!
Love to go, most days are fine as long as we know in advance so I can swing it with my boss (girlfriend).
I only learned about this reservation today, and it says that we had to sign up by last saturday to be guarenteed tickets. Are there any that are still available??
