From Mop:
Yesterday afternoon, a black privately-owned car parked in the Shuijing Daliang Community was met with a crowd of onlookers, because pasted on the body of the car were the shocking slogans: “公安局长是我爸,杀人放火都不怕” ["The head of the Public Security Bureau is my father, I can commit murder and arson (commit crimes) without fear"] and “老子就是王法!” ["I am the law!"] Yesterday around 12 noon, police from the Shuijing Police Department arrived on the scene, and persuaded the car’s owner to tear off the slogans.
After this reporter received the city resident’s reports, I contacted the car owner Mr. Chang. Facing this reporter’s interview, he did not conceal his motives for doing this — to attract attention. “I just purchased this car, specifically to do this thing.” This is the first thing Mr. Chang said to this reporter. This reporter noted, the protective plastic film on this Cherry automobile’s seats had not yet been torn off.
Mr. Chang told this reporter that he is from Henan Suixian, has been doing business for many years, and has some savings. Using such an extreme method this time was to let the outside world know about a murder case that happened in his hometown. Although this murder case does not have any direct connection to him personally, he believes there is injustice in this case, and so devised this kind of action to attract the people’s attention.
After speaking with the Shuijing Police Department, Mr. Chang tore off the slogans from the car.

In China, only this kind of method is somewhat effective.

I want that on my car! 拉风的很!
At first I was about to think of something pissy to say, but after realizing it was a sign of protest, quickly changed to –
Good job. Call those motherfuckers out. This guy has balls. Go get’em tiger.
hey look!…TESTICLES!
It only worked if we know more about the case he was protesting about. Fauna can you put a link to the information about that case, if possible that is?
Thank you.
Why is the only place I ever see Chinese people with bollocks (or a conscience) on the internet? Why do I never see acts such as this in the street? or the workplace? or ANYWHERE IN REAL LIFE?
My question is, who is the mother-land-fucker who alerted the police to this guy?
Because China’s such a big place and you’re always in the wrong part of it at the wrong time.
He took it off in a day.
I’m betting it comes to nothing.
But it sure would be nice to have a little more information like Rick said.
I would also be interested to know if anything negative happens to him in the near future.
Everyone, happy thx turkey day!
Having read the slogan on the car I thought what a punk kid.
finished reading the article and thought it is a good slogan to tell those spoilt brats with guangxi connections that the whole world knows they are not above the law.
老子就是王法!
Like it :D
Balls, more Chinese should be like him.
TOOOOO FAR! I DON NOT AGREE WITH THE PICTURE OF MY PRESIDENT. HOLDING HANDS WITH A TERRORIST!
This is enough to get me to initiate my first protest….of Chinasmack! I am quite shocking myself and often comment whether good or bad….but this is going too far!
I agree!!!! President Osama holding hands with that terror-monger Bush! Disgusting!
Too political? Ah fuck it…
The same agency under said presidents daddy who funded said towelheads against the evil Soviet commies?
Lesser of the two, take your pick?
As soon as you see the slogan you’d know it wasn’t for real since the chief of police’s son would get a severe asswhooping back home for losing his father’s face like that. And I also doubt high ranking police officer’s sons drive Skodas.
Funny thing about corruption in 3rd world countries. Either you keep a low low profile about it to avoid attention or you flaunt it openly so people will respect and fear you.
Dude I want that on my car.
I’d take this car through the Drive-Thru MacDonald’s, maybe I’d get free food …
Vain Slogan: Nothing gonna be changed (in China) for more century. POL ICE MEN still KINGS and Untouchable.
You buddies, Stop Dreaming and Get up to Live the Reality “show” of “My China Real Politik”.
Harmonious Country with Harmnious People, that s what we are.
The man thinks he is king?
I couldn’t image what will happen to you and you car if you going on doing such a special thing. But actually i really appreciate your bravey.
The article mentions the car was a Chery but the license plate shown is for a Geely.
He’s driving a GEELY?! In China, people would only respect him if he was driving an Audi A8 or its equivalent. I think. I know I wouldn’t respect him…
Thats hilarious. Theres a photographer from Hong Kong now in Seattle called Leo Lam and sometimes lll who is a moderator on ModelMayhem. He does exactly the same thing. “My Father Is a Top Official In Hong Kong” etc.
Just hilarious.
From your fathers success does not make you any more powerful it just gives you more attention. His hard work only changed his life not yours.
