I am looking for a Writer/Blogger to help me find, translate, and share popular and viral Chinese internet news, events, and trends with English-reading audiences.

He or she should:

  • Be good at reading Chinese and writing English.
  • Preferably be a high school/university student, or young adult.
  • Preferably live in China.
  • Be mature, proactive, responsible, and have a sense of humor.
  • Have a good understanding of modern China and Chinese society.
  • Regularly browse popular Chinese-language news and BBS forums.
  • Be able to identify significant or interesting Chinese internet topics.
  • Enjoy what chinaSMACK is about.

This is currently an unpaid opportunity. It is ideal for a student or someone who wants to add writing/journalism experience to their CV or resume with a growing website about modern, social China. You will receive full credit for your work. We can also discuss more details about chinaSMACK and growth opportunities later depending on your contributions and anticipated commitment.

If you are interesed, please email fauna@chinaSMACK.com with subject title “Writer/Blogger,” and include an introduction of yourself.

Read the city weekend articale and come straightaway to check out the site. Loads of fantastical trivial everyday humour and ridiculous story’s which make ever so more used to everyday chao’s we’re exposed to on a daily basis… which has become our reality. Understanding statistically that within a billion + population that room for errors were part of the equation… haha.. I love it.

I can write in good Chinese, and English, with two MBA from USA,and also have some short stories or articles issued in Chinese on newspaper or magazines.Frankly speaking my English can not be better than my mother tongue,at present, but maybe later as I never have tried.Retired now, try me if interested. Currently I offer teaching biz and English in colleges and universities, such as Fudan.
