More translated secrets of Chinese people…
From Tianya, “Share your heart’s darkest secrets…do you have the courage?”:
阴暗的秘密:
I really want my first love who abandoned me to come back to me.
Then, I want to make him unable to leave me.
In the end, I want to ruthlessly abandon him.However, it is impossible for him to come back to me. Hehe.
阴暗的秘密:
I am a female, ever since I was really young (junior high) I loved reading sex comics and novels. And what more, I like those that are sadistic! My current boyfriend does not know, that I and my first boyfriend have been to third base, but I have not told my current BF [boyfriend].
阴暗的秘密:
I always think of taking a male’s position/perspective to go love girls, or take a male’s position/perspective to love guys.
But I still feel being a girl is good, and am not willing to get a sex-change.
I do not know what to do, and do not dare to tell anyone, afraid others will say I am abnormal.
阴暗的秘密:
I have had relations with a male star in Hong Kong before. We still keep in touch now. I have told my good friends before, but my good friends do not believe me, not until I showed them pictures did they believe. I bet no one believes what I am saying right now either.
小豆喃:
I was extremely headstrong/stubborn when I was small, often disobeying my mother, even telling my mother to kneel before me (up to now I cannot find a way to forgive myself, just remembering this makes my chest feel tight.) Even though my mom has forgiven me, I still cannot forgive myself.
As for lou zhu’s type [of secret], I have only stolen other people’s bubblegum many times.
阴暗的秘密:
When I was 22-years-old, I once had an abortion for a man I deeply loved. Now I am 26-years-old and have never gotten pregnant again. My current boyfriend does not know this matter. No one else will ever know.
阴暗的秘密:
Grandmother [paternal] and mom have had conflicts, which has brought me a lot of trouble, including at school, but I have never told anyone.
I often endure getting yelled at from both sides, so always feel like something is abnormal within my heart/mind, and am very temperamental. I once was yelled at by my grandmother to the point where I became absent-minded, and wanted to jump off a building.
阴暗的秘密:
When I was 17, I almost had relations with my dad’s good friend, but fortunately later at a key point I said “no.” I have never told anyone before, so it will forever be a secret within my heart.
阴暗的秘密:
When I was 20-years-old, I did something inappropriate behind my boyfriend’s back, and even became pregnant, but eventually had an abortion. Now when I see a little child, I will remember myself having once killed that child, and I feel very bad.
I have had a one night stand before.
都说好了我没哭:
I am a male. I like males~ I have loved my elder male cousin before~ With him I had my first time!!! But for my parents, I must marry a girl~ I am suffering, I really do not want to d that! I would be wronging her~

I know this is going to be a silly comment, but I do want to say that while there are a lot of girls who get abortions like Pez (who said this, Rick?) here in China, where population control is government policy and having children is often evaluated as an economic question, I really do think most girls, like the rest of the world, do NOT take abortions lightly. I FEEL that many people from the more Judeo-Christian backgrounds of the West are a bit more judgmental about a certain Chinese pragmatism with regards to abortions, but abortions, despite how “cheap” and “readily available” they are, are still a big deal. I guess I’m just throwing this out since I feel like a lot of people think it is no big deal amongst Chinese women. It isn’t for some, sure, but its still quite profound for most. I don’t think guys can truly appreciate it.
阴暗的秘密 is a whore!
hah love this sh!t, this is the best part yet
i wud admit my foul secrets but it wud wear my fingers out, probably be “moderated”, and just generally not be a good idea. i’ll never pose in a bikini and high heels again, lol
@Kai
I didn’t say it, I commented on someone else saying it, however – it’s true. That being said, abortions being so common doesn’t make them less emotionally destructive for the women who have them – as someone who has sat in the cold tile “mile” like line-up of unfortunate women waiting to have something within them destroyed, I’m far from lacking sympathy; I’ve seen the faces, watched the line-up of girls exit the “closed door” drive-thru like chamber, some unable to walk…clutching their abdomens while their boyfriends finish a quick text message before “helping” them stand up straight. It’s really heartbreaking, and it’s not taken lightly by women – but, it’s taken very lightly by men, in general, and you can see it in their nonchalant expressions while their girl’s bodies are pillaged.
I believe most people still take abortions seriously in China. In my opinion, abortion is not only hurting females but is also a murder. In Chinese tradition there are two ways to count ages, one is from the time they were born (as 周岁 Zhousui) and another starts from conception (as 虚岁 Xusui) so if someone was born in 2000, s/he’s is 8 zhousui and xusui is 9. Older generations like to tell ages in xusui and most of them think taking fetus’ life is like killing a infant. My parents were both from rural areas of China and they are indeed very traditional in mind.
I feel sorry for the women after hearing that.
I belive most girls take abortions seriously. The problem is men, especially young men may not think so. I regard abortion as murder. Girls should protect themselves well.
You don’t see the effects of women stuck being single mothers, so it’s easy for young women to pretend that they won’t get pregnant.
Girls SHOULD protect themseleves. But condoms are for whores.
And since she’s not a whore, why does she need a condom? Besides, she knows he LOVES her because he said he did and asked her to prove her love for him by going all the way!
And since she’s not a whore, why does she need a condom?
Ask your girlfriedn why she need a condom.
Girls SHOULD protect themseleves- What I mean is that girs should not have sex before marriage and should be away from selfish men.
@Monica
In the USA there are people who prefer to talk about what the way young women SHOULD behave instead of addressing the way they actually behave. IIRC the parts of the USA with the highest rates of teen pregnancy, are the parts of the USA where teens are taught abstinence until marriage instead of being encouraged to play safely.
The only leg up China has in addressing teen sexuality is freely available abortions. You can even get one without anesthesia if you budget minded.
it was hillarious, my gf, (21) i guess, thought she cud get pregnant from me tail-piping her bare\back.
A lot of people here seem to be applying Western expatriate thinking in response to the “translated secrets”.
Why does using a condom mean the girl is a whore? I don’t get it. What a blanket statement. All over the world, condoms are a primary contraceptive. Go to Japan, perhaps the biggest users of condoms in Asia. Women in the US, Europe, Australia, etc. all use condoms.
Condoms prevent pregnancy and reduce the risk of transmitting STD’s.
Abortions in China are used as contraception because most women and men do not receive enough sex education about contraceptives, disease and so forth.
I agree that most Chinese women take abortion seriously. But because it can be tied to religious beliefs in Western countries, it takes on a different meaning. But most Chinese people do not practice a religion in the western sense.
Please don’t bring Western Expatriate attitudes to China. Leave them at home. I am sick enough of ultra conservative religious right wingers telling me what I can and can’t do because it is part of THEIR religion. I don’t practice a particular religion, but that doesn’t mean I have to follow yours. Quite frankly in that respect China is refreshing.
Chinese (or any other country for that matter) attitudes are their business driven by THEIR culture, not some smart ass expatriate’s. Expatriates are guests in China, don’t wear out your welcome.
And yes, I am an expatriate.
ƒuck Ya! Flying Spaghetti Monster for everyone إإإ
People in their private lives behave the same way like everyone else around the world. The difference is in China, you don’t have the neo-conservatives versus the liberals on these health issues.
In China, the choice is personal. It may be right or wrong from whichever angle you look at. The government has stated their number 1 mission is to restrict population growth so that it is sustainable in the long run for economic reasons, prosperity, resource allocation and stability.
Maybe instead of society ‘teaching’ us that abortion is just a procedure, they should focus on the terrible effects it has on the girl/woman. Show a few abortions to the girls in a class and see if that will educate them so that they know what could be forthcoming. Of course like most people it will probably do no good.
Yeah, I am sure EVERY boy who waits is just sending text messages and is totally cold. Typical anti-male modern statement from Steve Jones.

You can argue about the influence of religion, or what counts as a religious perspective. It does seem in this case at least, Western conservatives and Chinese conservatives think the same if the second comment is accurate. If that is the case, is it really imposing a Western expatriate viewpoint to agree with Chinese traditional ideas?
@dave
RE: “Yeah, I am sure EVERY boy”
Fuck off.
It’s a generalization about some of the things seen, you don’t need to tack in “EVERY” to try to make some ridiculous point of how the guys are really sympathetic and it’s my view which is skewed. That being said, nothing in your post had any significance and therefor there’s nothing else to discuss. Thanks for your no cents.
@Rick in China
You’re the one who is turning out to be the asshole here. Dave had a right in pointing out what was a biased statement.
@Trobert
I never claimed NOT to be an asshole. In fact, I would consider it an insult to consider me anything but.
That being said, I was responding to his “Typical anti-male modern statement from Steve Jones.” bullshit, which is bullshit, and I’m (slightly) interested in what makes you think my statements describing my first-hand observation are “biased”? I was simply describing what I saw, and his snarky comment was replying to what I saw with some kind of fake-astonishment. I never said he’s an asshole, so “you’re the one who is” isn’t really valid, and You can fuck off too. :)
@Rick
I think the biased part comes when you said
“it’s taken very lightly by men, in general, and you can see it in their nonchalant expressions while their girl’s bodies are pillaged.”
When you say “in general” there, you’re no longer describing what you saw, you’re taking what you saw and applying it to everyone.
I agree you never said everyone was always texting, but you do seem to be making a general anti-(Chinese) male statement there.
Please don’t tell me to fuck off, I’ll be crushed. ;)
@Fuller
Describing an event I have seen first hand and labelling it as evidence to support an “in general” (as clearly indicated, not just implied) suggestion is far from the pseudo-quote which clearly omits the “in general” and replaces it with an “EVERY”. There-in lies my reasoning for the reply I had left.
@Rick
Point taken. Can I ask how many times you witnessed these things? I hope it was a lot more than once, since even taking something you witnessed once and then saying it applies in general is still a little unfair.
Rick,
Chill man. I’ll edit.
Yeah, I am sure boys who wait are just sending text messages and are totally cold, in general. Typical anti-male modern statement from Mr. Jones.
@Fuller
Just once, but I talked to some other guys about the situation and they said they saw exactly the same thing..if you do go to a hospital that does these things, suggest walking to that area, it’s really a cold, dead feeling – not only from the hospital’s lack of warmth in decor and comfort.
Ricky, Rick…How many times have I told you NOT to be a little bitch? If you don’t stop acting up, we’ll have to tie you to the bedpost again and pull out the studded whip….You know you always fantasize with me about text messaging the boys!
I think that last poster should just marry a lesbian girl, and then they can both be putting on a show for their parents, while going off and finding other partners. That way he wouldn’t be doing a woman wrong by marrying her….
haha..just a thought
