I read or heard from some psychologist that emotional response to cheating is slightly different between males and females. It is natural for males to dominate and expand his control and it is natural for females to secure a single provider of support. So males will feel insecure if any of his female partners have sex with another male. Females would only feel insecure if her male partner is devoting much need attention to another women. It is very possible for a female to feel better about herself if she finds another man for her, but the reverse is not always true. Because it would be impossible for a male to feel good when any of his female partner is sleeping with another male.

ps. I am obviously referring to real couples with real emotional ties, I am not including prostitutes here.

The reason I dislike her is because her temper is too bad. (don’t think this is correct)

“Reason” explains, in this case, why I dislike a person (her temper is too bad).

“because” means that something is “caused by”, i.e. what causes my dislike for the girl (her temper is too bad)

You can use either ‘reason’ or ‘because’ to explain why you dislike the girl. But to use them together in the way it is written above is to give the reason for the reason, rather than the reason for not liking the girl. It would sound like the girl’s temper is itself a reason for the reason for not liking her. If you don’t quite get it, please read the following:

Judge: Well, we have ten witnesses who saw you steal.

Prisoner: Maybe, Your Honour, but I can give you twenty witnesses who did not see me steal it.
