SHANGHAI is made of migrants, my grandparents were one of those before the WWII. For me, I am indifferent about contemporary migrants, or so-called Wai-Di-Rens. Undeniable, Shanghai is one of the best cities in China and its human’s nature to go to places with better opportunities and living conditions, etc. That’s how towns become cities, cities become metropolis. And that’s what the American Dreams all about.
It’s fine if they wanna come. but they should accept what the cities offer, they should respect people, respect the cultures, customs. And if one doesn’t have an appropriate skill to survive, if not live a life, he/she should simply not come. No matter where are you going, you should expect to work hard if you want to have a decent life. It’s not like you go some place and pick up some gold brick so you can be rich. no, never, not even in a gold mine, if you don’t have the right skills.

please……i just wonder how can those people say it’s shanghai’s problems while all those shit were caused by non-shanghainese.

But still for those who have a properly job and earn their money by hard working, i respect them, regardless where they come from

Chinese continue to discriminate against fellow Chinese of different regions, except for the rare moments after 5/12 when all Chinese were in solidarity. Guess that was a rare exception when all men are brothers.

The succession of recent mass stabbings in Japan is spilling over into China. The similarity of too many mentally disturbed folks who can’t cope in overly competitive societies is shared by both countries.
