It’s great to be an entrepreneur and succeed, but society always pays a price when wealth begins to get concentrated in the hands of a few, they start to get drunk with power and to get increasingly selfish. In the US, the rich have completely subverted the democratic process and control the media, without the information needed to think critically, Americans become fearful, ignorant and easy to manipulate. Competition is necessary in the world, inequality too, but shouldn’t it be limited and regulated to benefit society as much as possible, instead of letting it get completely out of control? Too much power in government or corporations… always a bad thing… Let the successful succeed, but let’s not go make them despots and emperors…

It’s funny how each year Forbes announce China’s top ten richest a few of these ‘titans’ then begins to fall (I mean fall to the point of interrogation and scrutiny).

If you look at some job advertisement in China. Normally one of the essential requirements is you have experience and good relationships with the government agencies or regulators.

It is no different from the U.S. such as those old boys club from the Ivy League Universities or Treasury Secretary Paulson hiring his ex-Goldman Sachs buddies to treasury positions.

Just look at the biographies and backgrounds of the ex-Goldman people Paulson has selected for his bailing out of the Banks.
