November 24, Beijing Time, the Chinese Kung Fu [功夫, gong fu] vs. Professional Thai Kick-boxing Competition Organizing Committee issued a public announcement: The 2009 Chinese Kung Fu vs. Professional Thai Kick-boxing Competition will be held in 2009 December at Foshan in Guangdong. The competition will use Chinese wushu rules as a foundation, integrated with a portion of Thai Kick-boxing rules, allowing the two opposing combatants to use elbows and knee techniques to attack their opponent, with every match having five rounds and each round being three minutes.
Although this news should cause a lot of Kung Fu vs. Muay Thai discussion, many Chinese netizens are using this opportunity to express their criticism of the current and controversial Shaolin Temple leader, Abbot Shi Yongxin, aka “CEO Monk”.
From the 一个心灵需要自由的人 Tianya blog:
Recently, Thai boxing champions have become crazy, wanting to challenge the Shaolin Temple, even spreading around that they want to beat the Abbot Shi Yongxin onto his knees. The five champions of Thai Kick-boxing are: “神目杀” [shen mu sha], “鬼见膝” [ gui jian xi], “魔术锥” [mo shu zhui], “拳灭风” [quan mie feng], “屠龙肘” [tu long zhou]. This time, all five champions will appear, with their original motivation being to “destroy Shaolin”. When a journalist asked whether “destroy Shaolin” was putting things arrogantly, the boxing champion 考克莱 [kao ke lai] waved his right fist disdainfully saying: “Tell Shi Yongxin to come to the ring and then see!”
There was even a Thai kick-boxing champion yelling: “Even my woman can defeat Chinese kung fu!” Why did he say this? Apparently, there was an amazingly beautiful Vietnamese girl who had previously fought against Chinese kung fu, and that this Miss Ruan just so happens to be the girlfriend of one of the Thai kick-boxing champions organized to come challenge [the Shaolin Temple], thus explaining this kind of talk.
Shi Yongxin is the Shaolin chairman/director, Director Shi for short, and normally occupied with important matters, like being busy having meetings, driving BMWs, making mobile phone calls (very niubi, using both China Mobile and China Unicom), using the computer…though I’m not sure whether or not he still eats meat? …anyway, [he] is skilled in various kinds of combat, and I hear his “internal force” is strong, a master who does not reveal his abilities, and we can now finally witness his power!
What is Thai kick-boxing? I’ve never even heard of it before! Whereas Shaolin kung fu has, through movies, television, songs, etc. been indoctrinated into our heads, as amazing and awe-inspiring? What is worth celebrating is Director Shi finally stepping up, expressing official acceptance of the Thailand boxing champions’ challenge, holding a competition in Foshan of Guangdong in December. We believe that mystical Director Shi, who does not usually fight, will defeat the five big Thai boxing champions, beating them onto their knees the moment he does!
In addition, the five big Thai boxing champions originally wanted to go to Shaolin Temple to make their challenge because Thailand is a Buddhist country, where everyone believes and respects Buddhism. “But, we heard from our Chinese friends that many temples and monasteries in China have all been developed by ruthless businessmen into tools to make money from the ordinary common people and believers/followers. [They] are even forced to make purchases in the temple and monasteries, here fees must be paid just for taking photos. Especially that so-called originators of kung-fu Shaolin Temple. It is said that they can even make commercial investments, this is unbelievable. We originally wanted to go tell them to stop using so-called kung fu to deceive Buddhist believers.” Now upon hearing that the China competition is confirmed to be in Foshan of Guandong, there is some regret…[that it is not at the Shaolin Temple itself]
Here, the five big Thai boxing champions even insinuate that our Director Shi is a ruthless businessman! This truly is “if this can be tolerated, what cannot be tolerated?” (I remember posting yesterday that I could not tolerate anymore, yet I still tolerated)! Director Shi, please, flaunt your muscles, show off your kung fu, beat these arrogant people onto their knees, in defense of China, and for the glory of the people!
It is said that Director Shi is a master who does not reveal his abilities, but there is nothing in heaven or earth he cannot do:

Chinese kung-fu is world-famous, and Shaolin Temple martial arts is number one in China. Jia you, China, jia you, Shi Yongxin.
天涯网友(游客):
Destroy the Shaolin, I’ll be happy! Scum of the Buddhist world.
易心易:
As a religion representing peace, Buddhism must also adapt to the development of society. Commercialization itself is no cause for criticism, but the method of commercialization is arguable.

I truly hope
Thai boxing will defeat our Shaolin boxing.
It is not that I am unkind,
but with people like Shi Yongxin,
a beating would be good.
guanxui:
Our wushu is for health/keeping fit. We can compete in life longevity.
红太阳帽:
If the Thai boxing champions beat Shi Yongxin to death, then that would be getting rid of Buddhist scum for Buddhism! And ridding the people of an evil!!
有故事D人:
How many monks these days still know kung fu? Even if they do, they are still only for show, only going through the motions, and they may not even necessarily win if they ran into a country woman who does farm work. A while ago while watching the sports channel there was a program called Red Fist Competition or something, and after watching less than a minute, I could no longer continue watching. If that similar to Mongolian wrestling yet not as interesting as Mongolian wrestling is the so-called Chinese kung fu, then I would rather not watch, because I really cannot see how their fighting is any different from when I was small and fighting with the little kids next door. So might as well not watch and at least then Chinese kung fu could maintain some mystery in my heart. Otherwise, a good thing would probably just become bad.
不要骂我哟:
Blog owner, you are truly truly hilarious.
QQ785987977:
I saw the news report before, and in summary, if you invite Shaolin Temple to go participate in the performance, Shi Yongxin says, “Our Shaolin kung fu is not used for performances, it is used to defeat opponents”, but when our countrymen request the Shaolin Temple to go fight in the arena, Shi Yongxin once again changes his words and says, “Our Shaolin wushu is used for strengthening the body and health, to raise individual’s characters…over and over like this. There is definitely too much business/commercialism, making people suspicious.
水平天远1979:
This requires seeing where the fight will take place and fighting who. I have always been convinced that, on a bed, Director Shi as one person against several is not a problem.
我家可乐:
Defeat the Thai transvestites, stand up for the Chinese people; [though if] Director Shi were to fall, a fake Buddhist monk would be removed. Either way, a good thing will happen!

If they actually have a Thai boxing versus Shaolin competition, what will martial art nerds argue about?
Sofawolf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ha ha ha ha
fail
So close. So very close.
I’m afraid for the monks. If it’s under full contact rules, I pray to Buddha there’s a doctor standing by.
Muay Thai isn’t for the tourists and no amount of somersaults will protect you from a kick to the face.
Wham!
Ever see Ong Bak Muay Thai Warrior or Tom Yung Gung? Tony Jaa will destroy all Shoalin’s with ease! No fancy twirls just bone snapping compound fractures and devastating knees and elbows, not even a contest… I watched those guys train when I lived in Thailand, it is the most practical martial art in the world
A practical martial art where people develop deformities in their old age and horrible arthritus, Those guys train so hard because they try to compete to winmoney in a poverty stricken enviourment, they finish their careers’ by the time their 20
You are absolutely right about it.
Yeah, the problem is, you will see the “monks” spit out there mouth pieces or change the rules to be the “thai” invaders. The truth of Chinese martial arts is that NO Chinese has ever done anything on the world stage to any foreigner of any significance. They beat guys who are retired for ten years or C level fighters from nameless countries.
Even the people in Chinese martial arts acknowledge this. No Chinese in K-1, why? Because they would again be owned by Japs.
Snoogans
A Chinese fighter made it to the semi-finals of this year’s Asian K1 MAX qualifiers (that’s the round before the final in Japan). It was in Seoul in June or July – can’t remember. Not sure of his name, either.
The chinese fighters name is Xu Yan.

Yes it was an impressive win, but why didn’t you post the one where he was knocked out in 1:30 by the korean?
Sucks when someone does research
That guy call lew hai long shan da wang last time
There is a plentys of chinese on K1:

And opps sorry the Japanese don’t own you, the KOREANS do ahahhahahahaha
Here is an interesting one.
But nothing could compare to seeing my first live Muay Thai match at Rajchadamnern stadium, billed “Thailand vs. Kung Fu.”
In 1974, top fighters from Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia descended upon the Thai capital to break the myth of the invincible Muay Thai fighter. This was the heyday of martial arts. Enter the Dragon was released a year earlier and Kung Fu, Karate and Taekwondo were enjoying the height of their popularity. Billed as the fight of the century, many Kung Fu practitioners were expecting the Thais to be humbled; but as it turned out, nearly all the non-Thai participants were knocked out cold under 30 seconds.
What happened? The world was expecting to see the mysterious and mystical tiger claw, snake and white crane styles do their thing; but what they saw were the Thai’s efficiently and methodically chopping down their opponents like lumberjacks cutting down small trees. It wasn’t a myth after all; the Thais were the best fighters in Asia. I was a little disappointed; being raised on Chinese movies, James Bond and Batman, I had to grow up, it’s like the day you realize there’s no Santa Claus. In 1977 it was déjá vu, but this time the American. European, Japanese and Korean Karate people were humiliated. But nothing could compare to seeing my first live Muay Thai match at Rajchadamnern stadium, billed “Thailand vs. Kung Fu.”
why not just use unified rules and be done with it?
Anyone who trains hard enough could win, this has nothing to do with styles.
I would like to see bare knuckle. The problem with kung fu being used in a ring is that it’s designed to kill, not to knock out. something like wing chun, put 16oz gloves on and they can’t do their techniques properly, because of how encumberd they are, same with something like southern praying mantis, there are too many rules that hamper kung fu, for instance, in karate bare knuckle, no grabbing (rules out chin na, tiger claw and the grappling side of praying mantis), no punching to the head, rules out 80% of wing chun strikes.
Muay thai rules are more relaxed but there is still the requirement for gloves and so many strikes are illegal, pheonix eye fist for example, this also rules out tiger claw, I don’t dout that muay thai is effective and probably the best ring fighting style there is, and can also be very effective in the real world, but it’s the best *RING* fighting style, kung fu is the best actual fighting style. Modern wushu is only performance true, but kung fu can never truely be tested without there being the possibility of death.
do you honestly believe that shit you spewed
actually this seems to be a good overview. I have an idea about both and gong fu deals with pinpoint strikes to nerve centers with elbows, extended knuckles fingers etc. none of these things are allowed in the ring. there is a type of gong fu that is making it into the ring called San Da which is basically a longer form (longer kicks, wider stance) than muay thai. And one of the main reasons you never see gong fu fighters in the ring is because anyone who stuides gong fu seriously will not go into the ring. for real. after learning what your body is capable of and learning that qi really does exist, the real student will eventually head toward qi gong. gong fu is deeper than “defense” and “ring fighting” so … in a fight i would bet on the thai, in terms of who will live to see his grandchildren and stiul be able to play with them. i’d pick the gong fu master.
Zeven11
In my experience, having gone from “deadly” Wing Chun, to Muay Thai, I’d rather fight a kung fu practicioner of any style bare knuckle than a Thai Boxer. You can keep your pheonix eyes, snake fingers, and tiger claws, since the “sport” fighter will still punch a moving target much faster, harder, and more accurately.
Though I would like to stand with ShaoLin Kongfu, actually Kick-Boxing, which remains to be simple, direct and make full use of energy is more likely to win. But eventually there is much possibility that after several hours of “Fighting” the two master say both of them are too powerful that they can not judge who’s the winner…I really think so. And then it diaplays how harmonious they are.
However, there’s no meaning to compare the two type for superiority, indeed. Shi YongXin, go ahead to be ur businessman after the show. It is just a show.
BTW, if this was on Nov 24th, do we have the results?
“The 2009 Chinese Kung Fu vs. Professional Thai Kick-boxing Competition will be held in 2009 December at Foshan in Guangdong.”
Fat monk couldnt fight his way out of a paper bag.
A white belt BJJ player at my gym could choke him out.
Look forward to the fight just the same – hopefully the Thai fighters really are champions and not some fake chinese fall guys, which has happened before.
Could someone post the Thai names and provenance of the Muay Thai fellows?
Chok deee na khrap :)
Oh yeah thanks, I read the November 24th first statement. I also hope too they don’t get cans. It will be a shaolin bloodbath (Shaolin gets owned) if they have to face real thai boxers.
Please let this be on Youtube in HD. I can’t wait for Director Shi to remove his robes and flaunt his rippling muscles!
This all smacks of publicity for the Chinese Monks. I have no idea if the ‘Thai’ guys are actually Thai at all… please give us the names, or we will have to assume that they are actually just swarthy Chinos being asked to lie down for cash.
Being somewhat of an insider in the Chinese Martial Arts competition scene, I have seen plenty of dubious match-ups…novice fighters being billed as champs, last minute fighter replacements, fudged weights and fight records so that when the foreign opponent loses to the full-time state-sponsored fighter it looks as if KungFu has triumphed again.
I hope these are actually Thai Boxing Champs…hopefully actually from Thailand. In all the Muay Thai vs. Sanda fights that I have seen, the rules have been modified to eliminate multiple knees (if having any knees at all) and the elbowing rules have been totally changed. In all those fights I have only know of 2 Chinese nationals to win (Liu Hai Long and Bao Li Gao).
sigh. all true. a lot of this is all BS and hype and playing upon racist insecurities. *yawn*
Seriously, its about time someone kicked that crooked monk’s ass.
i am scared for the Shaolin Monks, i hope they can survive Thai death blows of elbow and knee that are like Tony Jaa’s Muay Boran/ Thai. Let us have faith, maybe China will have secret tactic to train monks and gifted children and win like in the Beijing Olympics. JIAYOU.
Oh boy.. “like you did in the Olympics?” oh I am sorry the “BEIJING Olympics”. Dude, 70% female medals and most of the events that weren’t ping pong, badminton, or diving were those that won by Judges decision, the only way China wins is CHEAT
Yeah because all Olympic medals won by the USA were from Michael Phelps and random Africans with American sponsored citizenship in track and field.
Maybe if you Chinks weren’t so stupid you could import some real athletes too. Unfortunately if you aren’t yellow with black teeth and a stupid look on your face you can’t be a Chinese athlete.
And you losers can’t even do anything IN track and field even on steroids. That’s why your bitch ass Liu Xiang limped off the feel much to my delight.
And dickface, please let me know who these “Africans” are please, because last time I checked they were mostly if not all born in country. A country that beat you in total medal tally despite not having a professional SPORTS SYSTEM geared towards nothing else but winning medals
You guys are serious losers and we will all see it in 2012. BTW, how many points did you lose to the U.S. in basketball? Remember that when we go to war
People still care who wins at the Olympics? Strange
Do I sense a hint of desparation in your post? Wait… you’re the kung fu guy that used to be a bouncer and claimed he got beat up wrongfully because of some Chinese woman right? That explains the racist indignation.
But wait… Did I also mention that if we remove track and field and swimming from the Olympics, the US is left with like 5 gold medals? Oh but if we remove the African imports from the list, the US is left with only a little more than 6, provided Phelps is still alive.
Your post was hilarious and desparate man…. Hating on Chinese because of skin colour and appearance. Making assumptions of steroid use despite effective and impartial drug screening (you have no evidence so you can’t talk shit). Giving an excuse for your joke of a country’s poor performance because “China has a professional sports system geared towards nothing but winning medals” is pathetic. Last time I checked, having an organised and diciplined sporting system is something to be proud of and any sports focused country would have government funding for that sole purpose, especially if they are seeking success or hosting the olympics, as China was in 2008. And to rephrase your third paragraph, uh… since when does a country’s sports system gear towards not winning medals?
Athletes from the US are the real losers and I’m sure we will see history repeat itself in 2012. Did USA even stand a chance in badminton, sychronised diving, weight lifting, gymanistics, rifle shooting, to list a few? The US even struggled in the olympics to get a basketball medal against some third world countries in the Athens Olympics. Don’t make me laugh Fcuk, you’re not going to justify your country’s poor performance so just give up.
@LOL
Poor performance? Um We WON the MAJORITY of medals. Desperation? Listen Chi Mate, you can try all you want to get me rattled. But I wake up every morning thanking God I am not Chinese.
So let’s go through your argument. Bouncer, yes, studied kung fu yes, switched when I got trounced by my Muay Thai boxing friend yes.
Ok remove track and field blah blah. Ok then remove gay rec room sports badminton, ping pong, and diving which no one in the real world understands why they are in the Olympics anyway and china has…. well… nothing.
Um I was there first hand for the steroid test WANG as I have stated before, it is a common fact that chinese cheat in everything from school, competitions, making milk, having slaves so please go tell your CCP wu mao guys to up your salary cuz its going to be a long day for your guc ass when I get done ripping you a new A hole.
Yes every sports federation strives for medals but my point is despite that you are still second place, can’t compete in any sports that have any really athletic prowess.
Still no one has presented evidence that we import Africans this is just another of your “let me find some random useless fact and rant because I am Chinese and I can’t use logic”
I don’t hate on chinese because of color, I like people from TW and HK just fine. I only hate brainwashed monkeytron DA LU REN because you guys are probably the stupidest people on earth.
Bringing up Athens, yes poor performance but still beat the Chinese team by what? 60 points? Who won gold last year? We don’t even play soccer and we are in the top ten in the world. America winners – Chinese losers
FDLR, we both know I generally ignore your trolling comments because I concluded long ago that you’re not actually as stupid as you indulge yourself to be on chinaSMACK, but sometimes…
Look mate, have you ever considered that you’re the MIRROR IMAGE of the “chimate” you so love to hate?
Nah Kai, I am just a bit frustrated these days so I decided to rant a bit.
Although I would like to see a fair fight with good fighters fighting in China to demonstrate how things need to change.
I don’t really care about the Olympics either, I am just stirring the pot a bit. I’m glad you dropped in, I haven’t heard from you for a while :)
The US won the majority of the medals in 2008? Yeah but mostly bronze and silver. China almost doubled the gold medal count and pfft.. no one remembers second place.
Trying to get you rattled? I just think you’re an an inarticulate idiot. Funny you came to the conclusion that I wanted to get you ‘rattled’, I really must have bruised your ego in the last post for you to bring up your feelings voluntarily.
Yeah, just remove pummel horse, weight lifting, table tennis, badminton, pummel horse, gymnastics, diving, volleyball, shooting, figure skating, boxing and China loses half its medals. The Olympics also happen to lose half its sports DUMBASS. Are you saying that the only sports the Olympics should consider are basketball, track and field and swimming? Remove Phelps and the US already loses more than 20% of their gold medals. HAHAHAHAHA!
Face it dude, you just owned last post; let me give you a tip, just take a deep breath and silently let go of the shame, no one is here to judge you. Saying that only sports which are 80% grunt and 20% intellect are ‘real sports’ is a classic example of white ignorance that being big solves all problems. And again, who cares about basketball, I haven’t watched that sport for ten years, you think I care who wins it in the Olympics? Plus, as you said yourself, the US team sucked ass in Athens despite boasting like a mutha$ker.
The good thing about trolling is that people often are able to write funny shit because they don’t care about the topic at hand. Seems to me like you are being defensive. Why in the world would you think I’m Chinese or that I even live in China? People from TW and HK are part of China anyway… I love giving them shit for it whenever I get the chance because they can’t refute it and well….. its fun.
You’re fun too because I’m sure you’re white trash that hates to be called ‘lao wai’. It must hurt to wake up every morning and realize you are walking into another day of racial prejudice every day of the year right? Pain becomes hate, and hate becomes, well… hopelessness? It’s sad that you have to stay in China purely for financial reasons. I’m sure it gets frustrating when the only way you can let out your emotions is on Chinasmack. Wish you had some real friends to talk to? I’m here for you man, you can cry on my shoulder. I guess when you’re as rich and educated as me, you can stay anywhere in the world and not confined to a country where Lao Wai’s are seen as secondary trash. Too bad you’re education is based in a financially unrewarding and inferior area of work.
haha whatever bro, I have my frustrations, but I am doing just fine.
You can defend the Chi Mates all you want but the TRUTH is exactly as I presented it. I hope while you are masturbating with your China flag wrapped around yourself feel good.
Later Chimatron
All I can say, is that this site is s’posed to be a debate about muay thai and shaolin gung fu, not racist pricks getting a chance to knock another nationality, so please in the nicest way, fuck off bigot.
Also please don’t turn around and bleat the bigot’s tune that you’re not a racist, coz you are, using derogatory terms for an ethnic group is being racist. People like you are why this world is fucked up you elitist skin head inbred prick, go fall of the planet.
ouch that was cold blooded the whole “you broke, gotta be in China part” coooolllddddd blooded, but probably true.
Man i live here and deal with all of the craziness every day and it can get to you for sure … enjoy the excitement and instead of hate try and “use the force” i find that communication.actually.works.
Hu Li,
Don’t be afraid of Muay thai. Watch Myanmar lethwei on youtube, you will find out Muay thai kickboxing is nothing at all.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALu9Cl99FWA
I’m not really big into fights. Just a thought. The stuff I watched on youtube all degenerates into name callings and that really turns me off to the whole thing.
if i was businessman Shi, i’d bet thai ftw & take a hit to the floor and collect my millions after the fight. who needs hand to hand combat when i got money for guns. YEAH! businessman shi for the lose.
also, how can someone who doesn’t eat meat become so big?
Shaolin monks are allowed to eat meat, genius.
Who allows them? I mean what is the teaching? I am not arguing, I am just curious.
http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/article.php?article=521
I wouldn’t be surprised if these will be “worked” matches. I’m sure that Shaolin Inc. will reimburse the Muay Thai fighters very well for taking the fall.
Yeah well, the entire Shaolin establishment today is more like a PR campaign office for the CCP.. a real damn shame. Even though I like kung-fu movies, modern fusion martial arts are probably the most effective.
Also: Do not feed nationalism with all the “Us vs Them” crap.
ISn’t this just
Shaolin Sanda vs MT?
It’s been done a lot before, and all the comments above are retarded.
when MT fights Sanda with Sanda rules, sanda wins,
when Sanda fights MT with MT rules, MT wins.
modern fusion martial arts? you make it sound like a dance style..
i think Mixed Martial Arts was the phrase you were fumbling for,..
and yes, MMA fighters would pwn those shaolin charalatans. no chinamen in the UFC – why is that?
No Chinaman, but a great Vietnamese guy on an another organisation Cung Lee and his style is chinese Sanshou. We asians are small, so you won´t see many of the asians there at UFC. And a real chinese kung fu master won´t fight on competitions.
I’d pay good money to watch Tony Jaa beat up a fat Chinese businessmonk
In a ring it is hard for chinese wushu to shine. Muai thai is used to fight in restricted space with all the restrictions. Chinese martial arts require more of an open space to move around etc. I am betting muai thai because of this.
wing chun is a restricted space art. and chinese last time i checked
Restricted? Any bigger than a boxing ring is called room to RUN.
Nowadays, Shaolin Kung-fu has reduced to nothing more than an acrobatic performance, with all the somersaults and flashy moves. It all looks good to watch, but in a real fight? Nah…too much unnecessary movements.
Thai Boxing on the other hand is just a pure blood sport, to harm and destroy your opponent in the most efficient way. Pure savageness.
According to my understanding of Chinese history, I believe China never got Thailand to pay tribute because the thai army was too tough for China. I can’t tell if those names of muay thai fighters are actual Thai champs or if they’re just some chinese kids pretending to be thai people.
I just think these inter-martial arts competitions are so fascinating. They’re more about pride than anything. I believe Japan still has Karate vs. Taekwondo fighters to this day. I think Karate has never lost.
In the end, I personally believe it’s all about the individual’s ability. I’ve even seen a novice BJ penn beat a blackbelt judo guy.
Siam was one of vassal states to Ming Dynasty, along with Japan, Ryukyu, Java and Malacca, during the reign of Yongle Emperor.
i think u got your history wrong… siam alongside others were one of the vassal states…
Whatever martial art they us, gun and nukes will win them all!
Yeah dude but it doesn’t always work that way, the last time I ever got into a real fight I was in a bar and unfortunately I didn’t happen to be carrying my suitcase nuke with me that day.
the only name i recognize is Kaoklai Kaennorsing. He used to be pretty good, a former champ in thailand at a famous stadium and did fairly well in K-1 against people 40-50 pounds heavier than him. But he’s past his peak. I hope the others are up and comers or at their peak, but it seems you don’t need the best of thailand to beat the charlatans…
but rules dictate fights. if you allow takedowns, sanda will do extremely well if the muay thai fighter didn’t do his homework. but then again, all these stand-up fighting styles will be destroyed by any wrestler who takes you down and pounds your face in.
Obviously Kung Fu has no chance. And this is why:
1. KF people train, but they don’t fight
2. KF people are not trained to take hits
3. MT is a league sport and has many active fighters
KF strategy has to be to avoid being hit. Remember
Muhammad Ali vs. Antonio Inoki? It was all about staying away from Ali.
I think this competition is stupid and so is the arguments surrounding it.
It is true that traditional martial arts these days is mostly for fitness health, discipline etc.
For some, Fighting is a sport while for others use it to try prove their insecure masculinities.
Arguing over which is the best is as dumb as UFC spectators who try to talk like they know everything.
The truth is, it doesn’t matter what style of martial arts people learn, martials arts progresses accordingly to how a individual develops from it and what they use it for.
It’s up to the practitioner personal ability.
If you train to fight then you willbe a good fighter, if you train to be fit then you will live longer.
Check says ‘if you train to be fit then you will live longer.’
I agree, unless of course you die in a fight with a person who trains to fight.
Swings and roundabouts.
All of these are no more than spectator sports anyways. Real fights on the street don’t last for multiple rounds, and you certainly don’t spread your legs as much as the two guys in the picture. Even in a karate competition, I saw a high-kicker lifted 2 feet in the air after someone slid under him on his back and connected vertically with a kick to his balls. Take away all the restrictions in these tournament sports, and you’ll see who will actually win in a fight. I’m guessing the guy who knows to attack weak points fast and hard. Real fights end in two hits.
Abot Shiyongxin is full of crazy ideas. Not sure what to think of him. Interesting I also posted something related to Shaolin Temple earlier this month (http://chinasundae.com/2009/11/14/the-mysterious-chinese-monks-i/). If you are ever interested, welcome to visit my blog.
I love the layout of your blog and of course the topics you talk about! Great work :)
Real martial arts is what they teach you in the army. Everything else isn’t for fighting, it’s for showing.
You know, this whole “real martial arts” and “street fighting” crap is a bunch of malarky. Ok guys listen. A lot of tough “martial artists” with their “death moves” get a rude awakening to someone who actually trains and gets punched in the face. There is no death touch, no iron palm, no twenty guys cant move me because my qi is so NB.
All these guys get a rude awakening when the first fist or shin hits them in their iron headed noggins. I will give you that a rock or a stick ends things more quickly, but a real FIGHTER knows how to take a hit and keep on coming. That is the difference between “Shaolin Martial Arts” and what’s going on in the rest of the world
You forgot the chinese have the Wushi Finger hold… ha ha
I dont know the history behind the animosity shown expressed here by the Thai martial artists to the kung fu master. But I love kung fu and have studied it for several years. Having said that, I have also studied Maui Thai boxing for just as many years and have to say that I feel sorry for those poor bastards going in the ring against the Thai boxers.
maui thai?
i call bullshit on your claims.
is is spelled MUAY THAI.
“is is spelled MUAY THAI.”?
Nice fumble champ.
come to beijing and put your call to the test.
I don’t want to appear rude, but most Chinese martial arts taught widely are performance based. However, unlike most people on here… I really think the real KF is extremely dangerous. It’s as if people think that kung fu doesn’t have knee and elbow strikes. It does. It also has many hand techniques. Again, if this is no rules… Real KF would demolish. People also claim that KF experts can’t take hits… Really? Has anyone seen the elite of China’s military combat training? Dudes can take major hits.
Yes, we saw the elite military strength of china when they won the war against Japa… er… kor… ummm.. Indi…. yaaa…Vietna…..
Ok maybe we didn’t but there are still masters out there that can break you face with their breath (that I am not kidding)
Don’t you know whenever a barbarian power decides to invade the middle plains they begin by cowardly poisoning the leaders of most righteous kungfu sects, kidnapping the daughters of others, and finally putting an alliance with the evil sects. If it weren’t for such underhand means and subhuman barbarism they could never be on a par with the sophisticated understanding of the righteous flow of qi garnered by the trueblood Han pillars of society. Don’t you watch ANY period dramas? I suppose you are also ignorant as to how uncouth the Westerners of yesteryear were. Whereas the Chinese had invented gunpowder and cannons for the purpose of hunting in accordance with Buddhist ecology and spiritual ceremonial firecracker offerings, the exceedingly ruthless white men actually turned them to kill. Only such animal stupidity explains the temporary demise of the braves of the middle plains. Geez!
Sorry brother, I my reptilian barbaric brain forgot that I am only a heinous simpleton void of culture. I bow to the greatness of the white lotus sects of the HAN greatness
actually u got it all messed up.. against the jap.. it was after the allied gang-up in 1890++… But china took it well… and she survived the onslaught till Japanese surrender in 1945.. Against Korea?? No– it was in aid of N Korea against the “might” of US and held US to a draw of the 38th Parallel…. Against India? It was a clear cut victory..
vietnam? It was militarily a draw… and they fought till Lang Son… A major city quite near to the capital of Vietnam.. before they unilaterally withdrew..??
wHy need to exaggerate.. yur claims??
Oh boy, here comes the Chinese “Actually we won”. Let me put this out here so you can see your error Jam.
“She survived the onslaught of till Japanese surrender in 1945″
Not to you, to the U.S. You’re welcome :)
1890’s China beat up. Ok you got me there, what year is it now again? How many people did you kill of your own in the last 70 years?
N Korea. I seem to remember the “allied forces” (not just U.S. a common misconception by retards) sitting on the Yalu River ready to re instate Chiang Kai Check (man you guys missed out on that one). Only to be pulled back. Stalemate yes, guess you consider losing 900,000 troops a victory and watching most of them repatriate back to TW. BTW, didn’t we kill Mao’s son ;) again, you are welcome
China’s invasion of Vietnam was withdrawn unilaterally?
The Sino–Vietnamese War (Vietnamese: Chiến tranh biên giới Việt-Trung/ 戰爭邊界越-中?), also known as the Third Indochina War, was a brief but bloody border war fought in 1979 between the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The PRC launched the offensive in response to Vietnam’s invasion and occupation of Cambodia, which ended the reign of the PRC-backed Khmer Rouge, and Vietnamese raids in Chinese territory near the border. After a brief incursion into Northern Vietnam, PRC troops withdrew about a month later. Both sides claimed victory in the last of the Indochina Wars of the twentieth century; practically speaking, though, since Vietnamese troops remained in Cambodia until 1989 it can be said that the PRC failed to achieve their goal of dissuading Vietnam from involvement in Cambodia.
HMMM seems you asians have a hard time deciding who loses. (except you vs Japan)
Ok India, I will give you a surprise attack victory against curry eaters but keep this in mind. I think it must only be China who gives away land when they “win” haha
“According to James Calvin, an analyst from U.S. Navy India gained many benefits from the 1962 conflict. This war united the country as never before. India got 32,000 square miles of disputed territory even if she felt that NEFA was hers all along. The new Indian republic had avoided international alignments; by asking for during the war, India demonstrated her willingness to accept military aid from several sectors. And, finally, India recognized the serious weaknesses in her Army. She would more than double her military manpower in the next two years; and she would work hard to resolve the military’s training and logistic problems. India’s efforts to improve her military posture significantly enhanced her army’s capabilities and preparedness”
See Jam, these are called facts, they help you when you want to make an argument. again, You’re welcome :)
Fcuk Da Ren is not your real name, I believe.
I believe your real name is American White Trash.
American army lost to China Liberation Army in the Korean war, I believe you fcuking failed your history.
And you know what, you are a loser but a good talker.
Your tongue is smarter than your sorry brain, Wa Lan eh!
I am ashamed to have a grandson like you!
Darn! I shouldn’t have fcuk that Amrican bitch!
I refer to your grandma!
Your regreted grandPa
I’ve never heard of the American army beating any of those either… I’ve heard of them bombing innocent civilians until the Japanese gave up… A good bully tactic I suppose.
Are you serious? They saved more lives with that than they took. The US Navy and Marines had pushed the Japanese all the way back to Japan…all by conventional means. This includes cutting their supply chains and helping you push the Imperial Army out of China.
Another thing that upsets me is that people ALWAYS say all KF is the same. It’s not. Shaolin is Shaolin.
However, I would love to see some Muay Thai guy take this guy down:
http://www.metatube.com/en/videos/17023/Kung-Fu-Scret-Deadly-Touch-Style-You-Can-Die-Even-if-He-Just-Touch-You/
To be honest, I think the toughtest are not showing off or trying to win money. The real tough guys are living secret and not trying to show off. Maybe, honor really exists?
Good job John…
Yeah, don’t mess with a Qi Gong master. It would be interesting though to see how a Muay Thai guy will do against a Qi Gong guy…
Here’s something interesting…
http://crane.50megs.com/index6x.htm
KungFu wins…
My opinion. In competition chinese kungfu will probably loose. Because a style like Muy Thai, the fighters can take so much damage. And we asians are small, we can´t compares to the big americans/europeens.
But in real street fight we have a great chance to win, because we goes for weak points.
Me self strike out a big american guy in Colombia, my weight is around 65kg and his 80-90kg by giving him a elbow on the solar plexus.
The Chinese Kung fu & Karate (except Kyokushinkai) the philosophy is take out an opponent without being touched. That we can´t say about MMA or Muy Thai.
The average career of a Muy Thai fighters is about 2 years, after that they can´t hardly walk, because they inflicted so much dammage so when they get old they have a lot of injuries.
There is a lot of exceptions of fighters too, a good example is the champion Mashida (Karate) at UFC, many fighters find him boring, but the percentage of him avoiding the opponent is the greatest ever.
But at the end it´s not about style, it´s about the fighter.
Look at Emin Boztepe the Wing Tzun master, he has a great physic and has never loose a bare knuckle fight and he has more than 500 fights.
I love MMA. The BBJ style is awesome, but try to do that on a street fight with 3 person, go down on the ground, you will probably get kick in the face while fighting one opponent.
The probably best combination to be a good competiton fighter are Boxing/Thai boxing and BJJ/Wrestling.
My opinion is just like Bruce Lee´s: Learn every style and you will have a good chance to win. He was probably the first MMA guy in the world.
Hey, Fai
Watch Muay thai vs Myanmar Lethwei on youtube.
Thai boxers are not used to fight without BIG gloves.
Thanks for tip, I will watch it.
I don´t understand why there is so much trash talk about Kung Fu and Muay Thai. Both styles are good.
But if you want philosophy, go for Kung Fu. If you want pure combat, go for Muay Thai.
I mix lot of tecnics from both style. And it´s for protecting my self, I don´t like to fight.
Wow, I watch video on youtube, never heard about this style before. Thanks a lot for the tip. They even use their head to knock out their opponent.
This style is brutal.
I think most people are going to be disappointed..I’m willing to be that it’s not going to be a monk trying to fight using traditional shaolin moves/acrobatics. Anybody ever see Shi Yan Lei? His specialty seems to be in hard qigong, and sanda. Whoever fights the Thai boxers will probably be somebody of similar expertise, it will probably be a kickboxing match.
Thai kick-boxer vs. Shaolin acrobat is like British boxer vs. Mime.
Tony Jaa v.s. Jet Li in prime… tough call
godzilla v king kong. tough call.
daleks v cybermen. tough call.
me v your wee sister. tough call.
Fuck thailand it’s a hole
great fighters come out of shitholes
A more fair and equal competion would be a Shaolin Kung Fu Champ vs. a Japanese Ikebana black belt.
Dear The John,
The DIM MAK?? Bwahahahahaha… seriously…he’s affecting their Qi!????
Bonjasky VS. Dim MAK, DIM WIT AND DIM SUM FTMFW!!!!!!!!
Wake up mate.
that businessmonk is awesome. nothing better than the CCP sponsoring an age old tradition like the Shaolin Temple.
These competitions are nothing but the best sanda fighters who train in the Shaolin compound area against some semi-pro Thai fighters. Nothing special.
The Thai guy will be paid to take the fall, if he won it wouldn’t be safe for his entourage to leave the stadium. Seen it before.
Yeah Great stuff here~!!
Let’s ask the Brasil Soccerteam play tennis against the American baseball team.
Or let’s have our chinese badminton team play volleyball against the Australian football team.
What a bullshit~!
Actually, fighting is one of the only sports where the objective can be compared inside different games. It’s more like playing baseball with both directions running, and 5 bases. :)
I am not convinced that any sort of competition martial art style can reflect actual real life fighting. Why should your opponent not kick you in the balls? Why should he not just try to grab onto your throat and squeeze as hard as he can? Why should he allow you to grab onto him, so that you can knee him or hold him down, while he should not squeeze/gouge/twist everything in range? People go down much quicker without padded gloves, so I imagine it’s much less about how much trauma you cause to their brain through fist pushing or how much you can bruise their face or how many times you can hit them, and much more about who is the first one landing the hit which will end the fight immediately or will severely cripple opponent’s fighting ability.
hmmm
landing that hit is the difference between FIGHTERS and MARTIAL ‘ARTISTS’…
Haha, I see they are “moderating” my comments now. I guess the truth is hard to see
Finally they are seeing the kind of garbage you are posting!
True, Chinese kung fu is just for show, flips and twirls, but essentially no power and no technique.
Whoever wrote that technique is not important has obviously never taken any martial arts or been in fights, technique is survival. Technique tells you where/how to strike, how to defend, how to hold/throw your weight and how to turn an opponent’s moves against them, among other things.
A BJJ/boxer or Muay Thai boxer would destroy an inexperienced fighter of any size. That being said, watch for the “Muay Thai” fighters to be underfed Chinese farmers gettin’ paid a year’s wages to step in the ring…
Chinese Kung Fu is strictly involves spiritual, a meditation thru a physical practice, and art and way how a person looks into himself and and nature. Civilized.
But Thai and other Japanese or Korean kick box is about killing other people. Difference of human and animal is human should live civilized way. That’s the spirit of Chinese Kung Fu, human should learn better, we are not animal. Can Thai, Korean and Japanese boxing style be an art form pursue and spiritual meditation? No. Only a civilization can develop and discipline thru such practice. Actually I am ashamed that even Chinese Kung Fu Association accept such invitation. So what about technique?! Can anyone beat a bear? kill a tiger with his bare hands? So what if anyone can strangle somebody in 3 minutes? what’s the point? That’s a reason I never respect Thai kick boxing, that’s the reason Chinese Kung Fu is better than all those violent practice, and for thousand years all their culture is nothing but killing, in nowadays world, only a few truly understand the true meaning of Kung Fu. I think Chinese already lost, because they accepted the invitation, if they really know Kung Fu, they would walk away like the Shaolin master, who truly has a heart and mind of Chinese Kung Fu, only animal fights animal, but human shall pursue art.
This is the best comment I have read on this subject. I do enjoy Kung Fu and I really appreciate your comment. I think that is the purpose of kung fu:
Cultivation of a persons character.
What is really sad though, is the fact that Thai Boxers have even forgotten their own history. The most important person in Thai Boxing is Nai Khanom Tom. He earned his peoples freedom by fighting in the ring. He should be a symbol of why Thai Boxing exists today. But, most idiots only see the violent aspects of the culture.
That doesn’t sound like fighting to win money and riches. It sounds like honor. Something that most “fighters” don’t have today.
From Wiki:
King Mangra granted Nai Khanom Tom freedom along with either riches or two beautiful Burmese wives. Nai Khanom Tom chose the wives as he said that money was easier to find. He then departed with his wives for Siam. Other variations of this story had him also winning the release of his fellow Thai prisoners. His feat is celebrated every March 17 as “Boxer’s Day” or “National Muay Thai Day” in his honor and that of Muay Thai’s.
Word. (i have to keep typing in order for this comment to be published so hey, how is everybody? i am eating truffles. mm-mm …)
That Kung Fu master is so getting killed by any muay thai fighter …
Oh, here we go… the KungFu ‘holier than thou’ speech. I guess if you can’t beat them….then you better be more ‘civilized’. It’s a fight competition…not a death match.
The ‘what if I gouge your eyes/kick balls etc’ retort is the domain of those that don’t actually train at all. In reality as you get into your super wide stance you get a muscle crushing shin to the quad muscle of your lead leg, followed by hard fists and maybe an elbow. Then a clinch or yolk is applied and the knees start. Good luck with your dirty tactics vs that.
Bhuddist monks should play at Peace not War
So if dirty tactics are clearly inferior to fighting that conforms to the rules, why do competitions ban it at all? If it is as you said that any dirty tactics will fail against your shin-fist-elbow-clinch-knee combo, why does MMA before it became regulated is full of fighters that only uses these supposed inferior dirty tactics? But I suppose you are the internet tough guy, I mean, super experienced underground martial artist, so I guess I must be talking nonsense.
Nice laptop, it has a twistable display.
The great enemy is within oneself, is the spiritual one that provokes oneself, not someone, a physically strong, or quick, or can kill someone in 3 sec.
I guess Thai boxing does not teach that, but Chinese Kung Fu requires that teaching, in ancient time, a master picks his disciple by valuing one’s nature, moral standard, and if anyone who holds idea that Fung Fu is about technique, then the master would not even accept him.
50 years ago, Shaolin Master Heideng used his technique to treat people who had cancer and other diseases, and he was young he could do 2 finger stand, and so many years he learned many set of martial arts, but he would walk away from any challenges, only Bruce Lee would beat the crap out of any challengers for he could not hold himself, but he was an Chinese American, so all entertainment and technique, about who is strongest physically, but while his time, there were a few Shaolin and Chinese Kung Fu masters who could beat him physically, but I bet they would never lift a finger, a Kung Fu master must hold his morality, not only his balls and guts. If anyone doesn’t believe it, join Thai, and any kick boxing, don’t learn Chinese Kung Fu, you might disgrace our tradition. What a master can do that he can even tame his anger or vainful name? So I only feel shamed that Chinese Kung Fu Association accepted them, don’t they have anything else important to do, I guess they only want money and entertainment. There’s Chinese old saying: “You may never provoke a great master to wrestle with you.” They should not be qualified to teach Kung Fu.
A lot of people are going to dislike you for saying that. But, it is the truth. Many masters in China don’t teach the real arts to people they don’t trust. They also do not accept stupid challenges.
Many foreigners come to china and they are taught performance art. Because, the masters know they just want to show off or fight someone. To be honest, it’s not ALL foreigners. Masters have even refused to teach local chinese people kung fu. I know this, because I studied Kung Fu. But, im not some super crazy guy, that wants to show his skill. Im not saying im a chosen one either. I think I had a purpose and my teacher helped me a lot. Also, I didn’t go the high, because it requires a lot of hardwork, patience and time. I didn’t have the time. What I respected most about my teacher is that he divided students by their purposes for learning.
We should also realize that there are MANY fake kung fu teachers in China. So, finding a good teacher is difficult. At least in my opinion….
Beimo competition
Wong Shun Leung became active in beimo (比武): semi-organised bare-knuckle challenge fights in Hong Kong (sometimes known as ‘kung fu elimination contests’).[18] There were no rules, protective equipment, or time limits.[3] As Wong recalled in an interview, “When I competed, it was in secret. We went into a room, and the door was shut and there were no rules. The government did not allow them. They were illegal, but we didn’t care. We fought until the other guy was knocked out.”[6] Beimo competitions were held anywhere that was found to be convenient. Some beimo competitions were held on the streets in Hong Kong.[19][20]
In the early 1950s, compared to other kung fu styles, wing chun was hardly known.[21] It was a style of kung fu practiced by a minority—mostly members of the Association of Restaurant Workers of Hong Kong.[22] Different kung fu schools met secretly with each other for challenge matches. At that time, the most active beimo competitors under Yip Man were Wong Shun Leung, Wong Kiu (黃橋), and William Cheung (張卓興). Wong was said to have faced opponents from many disciplines—”virtually every style of martial art in the colony.”[14] He defeated many opponents in beimo matches in Hong Kong between the ages of 17 and 32, and his reputation grew as he continued winning these matches.[2] Some have attributed wing chun’s fame in Hong Kong to Wong’s beimo reputation.[9]
Students from different schools sometimes visited each other’s schools and issued challenge to their top students and instructors. If a student was able to beat the main teacher or master of a particular school, the school would close down.[4] According to some of Yip’s first-generation students, Wong “reputedly ‘closed down’ quite a number of schools in that way.”[4] Reportedly, Wong won most of these contests within a few punches.[3][13][23] Wong’s prowess in beimo helped him convince his secondary school classmate, Wu Chan Nam, to become his first student—Wu witnessed his win in a beimo match.[24] In addition, he encouraged his junior fellow students and his own students to compete in beimo competitions and arranged matches for them.[9] According to Yuen Yim Keung (袁炎強), Wong’s student, Wong stopped arranging these matches because “his students were defeating not only other Kung Fu styles but also other students of Ving Tsun outside of the Wong Shun Leung family.”[9] Wong also reportedly had a beimo match with a much bigger Russian boxer called Giko.[3][14] John Smith (a student of one of Wong’s students),[25] reports that Wong defeated Giko,[26] and that Wong himself told Smith how he was able to achieve this victory.[26]
Wong was believed to have had over 60, and perhaps over 100, beimo matches and never lost.[6][8][9][10] This reputation earned him the name ‘Gong Sau Wong’ (i.e., ‘King of Talking Hands’).[10][11][12] Once asked if he was the best fighter in the world, he replied, “No, only the second best”; when then asked who was the best, he said, “I have not met him yet.”[2]
The above is just to be fair. While, I don’t think real masters would accept stupid challenges. That doesn’t mean that there have never been challenges in China’s history. Beimo sounds like a pretty gruesome event.
You are very articulate and have summed up what kung fu is about, thank you!
One more tip, Shaolin temple had a rule in ancient time, Any Shaolin monk who accepted Fung Fu match or fought outside for fame, he would be banned, and never allowed to enter the temple again. And their monks all must learn medicine and massage practice to help anyone on their way.
If anyone interested, go find out. Do any other kick boxing requires that???
The truth is that kunfu is not taught to beat down others with, it’s to relax the spirit within one.
The enemy in kunfu is not others, but oneself.
Real Kunfu destroys any other martial arts. K-1 is only kick-boxing
I bet Tyson would beat the crap out of those Thai Maury fighters.
But Martial Art is like sex, does technique really matters?:) or that you can get the job done fast?:)
But longevity is everything, and the art to make it more interesting:) lol
if I were a lady, I would go out with one who Shaolin style in bed, but please, no kick boxing, grow up:) ha ha
These crazy Muay Thai boxers should go to Myanmar(Burma) to fight with Myanmar Lethwei boxers. I’m sure Myanmar Lethwei boxers will kick Thai boxers ass. Watch Muay thai vs Myanmar lethwei video on youtube. You will find out how tough Myarm boxers are. Myanmar Lethwei match is without big gloves. That’s why Thai boxers are afraid to go to Myanmar. They will get kill in the ring.
Actually my family is kung fu family. my grandpa’s dad thought him, he thought my dad, and my dad past the technique to me, and I beat all my neighborhood boys, and high school boys too, every morning I practiced so hard, and never skipped any day, I am so fast and dynamic, strong and with energy efficient power… I can do it both hands and up and down 3 times per sec, when I masturbate:)
I challenge anyone, and I probably can take 3 rookies at same time:)
yeah,yeah,yeah…whatever…annoying troll
Hilarious post, hilarious comment.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kg7-dG8gWG8 china one of hope is he liu hai long
http://www.fantastic.cc for wu lin mi ji
Looks like the CCP has unleashed the five mao boys with the slew of “let’s change the subject of who beats who to “we are more cultured with our kung fu because it is harmonious”
However, if the Kung Fu Panda’s do win they will change their names and start ranting about the greatness of Chinese Kung Fu verses the western barbarians.
Just like “their 2008 Beijing Olympic Greatness” LOL. This country is so gay
(Whatever, Fcuk… no matter what you say, China’s gonna be the greatest and most important country, not forever perhaps, but almost certainly during your lifetime.) I think some comments here are quite good and deserve credit. Yes Kung Fu may not be the most efficient way of hurting someone…maybe Muay Thai is better…but the point is that Kung Fu embodies more than just hurting others; it embodies aspects of being an art form, a way to discipline and meditate the mind, a bodily exercise etc etc.. and it should be appreciated in its totality.
Anyways, there’ll be no end to arguing “who beats who”. Its like arguing which is better: South American football, or European football ? You can theorize how the South American’s would beat the crap out of the Europeans because they are fluid and stylish and passionate, etc etc. But the truth is, neither is better than the other. Sometimes the S.Americans win, sometimes the European wins. Its pointless to speculate whether KF or MT wins.
Well Fock you, I disagree with you in your theory that China will be the greatest and most important country in the world (you have to have class to be great, you have to contribute something to the world to be great).
And you comparing football is one thing, but when your Sanda Champions still get beat by American B level boxers using Sanda rules, I somehow doubt your prowess as a fighting super power. China can never compete in real sports because of your arrogant attitude that you are the best. Have a bit of humility and you might be able to accomplish something…
I think India is a better bet long term.
They’re cleverer and have a longer history than China.
Indian girls are hotter too.
i just spent three years in china, it is circling the toilet bowl and is failing, water, air, food, medicine, all toxic. sanitation, health care, useless
the only thing that works are cell phones
China, great, really?
why not write us a little essay about that. use these topics.
1) Military, government, police corruption.
2) Standards of education.
3) fake degrees and diplomas
4) freedom
5)employment standards, employee rights
6) transportation, trains,
7) air quality
8) water quality
9) diminishing agriculture land
10) public hygiene, toilets, restaurants
11) hepatitis, A, B, C.
12) tuberculosis
13) perception of land ownership
14) quality of hospitals and medical schools
15) value of currency on international markets
Fcuk Da Lu Ren, you grandmother Fcuker gay,
You come to China, I teach how to fcuk, I stick our Olympic in your asshoel and you know you are so gay.
I fcuk non-Da Lu Ren and Chen Sui Bian upside down, inside out in China.
You big talker in you full of gay little island province, and you know what I am Malaysian Chinese,
fcuk you again, non-Da Lu Ren!!You little bastard.
Your Grandpa, Ahem, ahem…
Someone is a closet-gaaaay.
All this talk about wanting to perform homosexual acts on people and Taiwanese political members with Chinese-Malaysian “Olympic”…this is what happens when you let your sexual repression reach critical levels.
I think Grand-Pa isn’t really insulting Daluren as much as he is crying out for help.
Jones,
Tiu le ah ma ke hai, get it?
Another arrogant white trash,I believe.
You can continue to be arrogant, continue to pretend you are righteous, continue to promote “humanity” to confuse some nations, continue to legalized gay “marriage” in your country, continue to call your grandPa gay..so on and so for,
but you can’t deny the fact that the result of the match was 4 to 1, CHINESE KONG FU WON. Get it? And there are fewer and fewer people buying your crap each day on the planet EARTH. Do you know that?
And one more thing, you and your son and your poor grandsons will have to work your sorry ass off to pay off your national debt! Amrican number one, my ass!
American dream, my ass again.
Change now, admit that White Trash can’t be number forever!
I apology if I am harsh, but I mean you good.
Are we still friends? :-(
Your sad GrandPa.
could you write in Chinese characters. what is this? Tiu le ah ma ke hai ?
not all white people are american and come from collapsed economies.
if the american economy collapsed 10 times more than it has, each americans standard of life would be 5 times better than those in china. the average income in China is about $3 each day.
haha Grandpa, you’re a hoot. I love how you brag about Kung Fu like you’re somehow responsible for it. You can try to insult me with your retarded, brainwashed, nationalist state of denial, but trust me dude…it’s hilarious.
Good job on kind of learning English. We’re not needing to learn Chinese here. I think that’s saying something ;)
the olympics recognize a host country but do not recognize a victor country. if you consider that your country has 1.5 billion people you in fact did poorly. China did not “win” the olympics. if you want to look at “medals per capita” some countries did 5 times better than China.
China did not win one medal in the “Manly” categories
All fighting style arts are equally dangerous. Gong Fu being the most lethal one. There is only one style of Thai kickboxing, while Gong Fu has many. Thai kickboxing history is short and wow, not so important at all. All who respect such styles as Aikido and Gong Fu know that these two are the two top fighting styles and have very rich and healthy history.. So Thai Kickboxers eat it, too many kicks in the head makes even Mike Tyson retarded son of a b…..
It also doesn’t matter what you know, it is how technical you are.. In the fight, speed determines the winner, not the power..
Everything you write is wrong
Well, at least he articulated a retarded statement pretty clearly. He can’t help it. He is a product of the “rigorous” Chinese Brainwa… er education system
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42v7l4UMMA0&feature=related
Second of all, Kung fu is by far more lethal than Muay thai, but of course in a “match” you won’t see people splitting other’s skulls…I don’t see Muay Thai fighters breaking bricks everyday.
Bricks dont hit back.
Wow… i have never seen such a thread with so BS.
1) this is not a thread about Chinese fighting other people…it is about styles of martial arts defeating other styles.
2) If A beats B and B beats C then A MUST beat C…. wrong!! The answer to excellent striking is excellent wrestling…and the answer to wrestling is Brazilian Jiujitsu…does that mean that the answer to strikiers is BJJ guys? NO. excellent striking is actually the answer to BJJ! So, round and round we go…
3) IG…the super ‘tactics’ of groin strikes and eye pokes are LOW percentage shots… you have a high percent of injuries when/if you land them (which stops the fight which is a spectator sport and makes other problems for people that you want to compete again) HOWEVER try poking the eyes of a man who is using his shin as a baseball bat on your leg/ribs/head.
4) Quickness is important but without weight/power is equally as useless as power with out quickness.
5)IG. I am far from underground fight expert or internet thug. However if you’d like to debate actual techniques and their effectiveness with me, you should start by actually USING them, in a ring, in practice AND competition. Until then I am wayyyy ahead of you in knowing what works and what doesn’t (whether it’s against me or for me …lol).
Talk about the best style of Kung Fu.
My favorite style is Drunken Fist,
that I do after Friday night club,
with a woman or two, whether her place or mine,
and I know all the spots to hit, from A to G:)
And some nights the woman got drunk too,
she would yell out:
Show me some Kung Fu!:)
I think we should all stick with basic technique,
the 4 universal poses:
missionary in West or Beginner in Chinese,
cowboy/girl in west or herding in Chinese,
doggy in West or tiger in Chinese,
Spoon in West or Snake in Chinese.
But you can try Shin Chi Shin Chi after had some Indian food, as Sat Night Live told:)
But no matter what you learned, it’s the same. And a true master, only his wife knows him the best:)
ultimate martial art concept:
never show your real move,
and we must always fake it,
Al Bundy’s wife knows all:)
Okay, some real serious techniques:
nipple pinching,
butt squeezing,
ball grabbing,
ass kicking,
ear biting…
Okay. This time really serious. Martial ART, Kick boxing are different concepts.
Does anyone know there are Martial pieces for instrument, Pipa?
Please go see the you tube Pipa Ambush by Liu Fang
Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtrthXXmKgA
Isn’t she a Martial Artist? She does Kung Fu Pipa.
That’s reason Chinese Martial Art is art expressed physically, others are just savagely killing.
I love the song “flowing water”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qC5oafRNE-4
Especially around 4:00 – 4:20 …so amazing.
There is another GuQin song I really love but I just can’t remember the name of the song though.
Will this event be broadcasted or filmed in any way, shape or famr?
This is a stupid promotion for muay thai. Everybody knows that those idiots won’t stand a chance if the Shaolin take the challenge.
I think this video presents a more realistic picture :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BeGyQMxwNQ&feature=fvw
both those guys are pathetic, untrained brawlers
If there will be matches between Shaolin kungfu and Muay Thai, it will be definitely awesome. If you lived in Vietnam then you may know that our superman Hachau, a member of Hongqi Shaolin has broken the leg of a notorious Muay Thai fighter with one stroke. Shaolin monks should do the same thing to these arrogant Muay Thai fighter, who never see a true kungfu man.
HAHAHAHAHAAHAH Mr. Cold thanks for being so gay that I just peed a little I laughed so hard
You sound like a tough guy, click the links to see if you can be tough like him, su phu Ha Chau:
http://honggiahachau.free.fr/image/coco.gif
http://honggiahachau.free.fr/picture.htm
By the way he’s more than 80 years old now.
The rumor is seriously off. The entire Thai kick-boxing challenging Shaolin thing is faked. Read the Chinese news here:
http://news.cnwest.com/content/2009-12/03/content_2618793.htm
Thai players never said “Tell Shi Yongxin to come to the ring and then see!” or their women can beat monks. Actually Shaolin is totally irrelevant. The competition (or actually “show”) had been held several times by the Wushu department of GASC and Guangzhou Daily newspaper and fighting rules in the competition will be largely based on Sanda (Sanshou). You will not see any players from Shaolin and real master never participate in competitive sports.
FCUKDALUREN, that link is priceless. The old dude just laid out a prime Sanda champ… wow.
Veerleft and FCUK DA LU REN
Heres a better picture – these 2 links are of Kung Fu vs. Revered Muay Thai Champions/fighters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FCDKabF7YQ&feature=related
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c75rK4Vvsb4
And heres the same Kung Fu Champion against a japanese opponent:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5N_vPPKNt60
Note that, the 2nd link was a pretty boring fight, but near the end of the video (Round 2) the Thai champion was knocked out.
I actually know some of the men involved…and the style has nothing to do with the ‘Kung Fu’. They are just really tough and hard headed kickboxers. Not much different than any other in terms of style. The Inner Mongolian guy in particular is very hard character. I mentioned both of these gentleemn in an earlier post as an exception to the rule.
Just wondering how do you rank these figghters. Not being too big on fighting myself so whenever people have these discussions they don’t really talk about the rankings. It is hard for me to judge who is better without some context.
I know who Cung Le is though.
Googling Liu Hailong…that’s fine.
But who the hell is Robert Kaenorrasing??? Fighting him means San Da beats Muay Thai? I don’t follow.
Same thing with what FCUK Da Lu Ren posted, provide some context (please FCUK Da Lu Ren I know you hate the chinks very much but please provide some context).
Ok brother let me break it down for you and even for Steven T. This is how the Chinese justify being the greatest fighters in the world.
Invite B level, or no name fighters to China to compete against their CHINA champions.
Never let them fight against internationally elite opponents unless you change the rules to fit Sanda (which is not a bad fighting system but is largely only popular in China) Then invite “elite” fighters and don’t tell them that they are fighting with throws. Consistently throw your opponent not doing any damage and win on points. Call yourself the best in the world.
Then if you lose in international competition block those competitions from being broadcast, written about, or able to have matches in China.
I’m sure the links that Steven provided show some Sanda Rules competition vs some “international” fighter decimating him and proving China’s glory!!!
The fact remains this: NO Chinese fighter has ever won a significant competition in the world. Not even one fighter in the UFC, Strikeforce, M-1, Dream etc.. Marginal wins in K-1 (see my above post) but nothing against anyone of any name.
And the best part of it is. They still believe that there is some kung fu master, somewhere that can destroy you with one touch. (although NO ONE, has ever seen it, EVER).
Listen I studied Chinese Kung Fu for years, have a lot of respect for its history, respect, and discipline. But the fact remains that no one from Kung Fu has done anything in the world or real fighting. That is just the difference between fighters and martial artists.
And dont think I don’t respect Chinese fighters. I train with them all the time. I believe they have the heart, the capability and the desire to compete and win internationally. I actually hope they do. The problem lies in a corrupt sports system geared towards black teeth, tea drinking officials who use these guys until they break. Don’t bother to change training and nutrition habits because they refuse to believe a “westerner” can teach them anything about “fighting”. And in turn they get left behind the rest of the world.
That is not just sports, in a lot of ways that is china as whole and that is what is frustrating. Its great you have shining buildings, cars, freeways. But don’t forget you still have a long way to go before you “teach” the world how “great” China is. That’s all I am saying
I don’t know who Robert Kaenorrasing is but the guy Bao Li Gao fought was the Muay Thai Champion at the time. I know this Kung Fu vs Muay Thai thing sounds totally exciting and fresh, but it has actually been going on for quite a while. Why do you think they have a committee around this? Back in 2003, the event was San Da vs. Muay Thai and these were hand-picked fighters from each respective country to represent.
Bao Li Gao is an awesome fighter. Whether or not that guy was a champion I am not sure, but the difference is BLG used NOT Chinese Kung Fu to fight!! He used thai boxing.
“Bao Li Gao is an awesome fighter. Whether or not that guy was a champion I am not sure, but the difference is BLG used NOT Chinese Kung Fu to fight!! He used thai boxing.” is this a joke? He is using San Da. San Da and Thai boxing obviuosly share some things in common but so does any martial arts. Are you saying just because someone punches, they are using boxing? ofc not!
Throughout the fight BLG stuck to the striking of sanda and not as much takedowns. IT IS STILL SANDA
I wish these fights were done under Thai rules.
Longer clinches, no nancyboy elbow pads… et cetera
The ref seems to favour the ’shanda’ cnuts in these fights too.
It reeks.
actually, as unfair as it may seem for muay thai, these rules are middle ground. there is no elbows and knees in wushu competition, while there is in muay thai. so allowing knees and elbows with elbow pads seem perfectly logical and middle ground.
I found it!!! The answer to thai boxing!!! Chinese Martial arts has solved the riddle!
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTM2MDYwNDc2.html
I especially love the little rabbit punches.
I was watching this youtube clips, and I cann’t tell difference between Muay Thai and Kung Fu. I was expecting more straight punches, blocks and combined moves from Kung Fu guys. There’s no fancy styles, poses, “silk thread”… Why is that? I know things on movies and in demostrations are highly exaggerated, but… Why years of training if all you do is swinging in the air?
KRDR…warning, don’t dare make sense!!!
The clips are of a son of Ghenghis whose KungFu hardly looks like KungFu at all. WHy? Because he actually has to FIGHT, not just punch air.
The question is not about Chinese (which he is ethnically not) as much as it is about the FIGHT TECHNIQUES.
Chinese or not, I never saw a real kung fu fight that looks like “kung fu” fight, even from great distance.
“KRDR…warning, don’t dare make sense!!!

If you know anything about Chinese history you would know that during the Khan’s invasion of China, many Mongols moved into China and many of them settled there. If you go to China, you will find that MANY MANY MANY of the Chinese people can trace their heritage back to the Mongols but still considered ethnically Chinese. So, BLG is indeed Chinese.
Also, to your (KRDR) statement of it not looking like Chinese Kung Fu. Here’s the counter statement: Yes, it is kung fu. It is YOUR OWN misconception of Kung Fu is what it doesn’t look like. The fancy “dances” you see is what I’m pretty sure you’re referring to as “Kung Fu” but those moves are just to develop the skills, stance and muscle memory. It is obviuosly different when you apply something in Practice to something in real life application.
Keep in mind also, that this is a COMBATIVE SPORT. It’s not even real fighting. Real fighting is what is referred to as “dirty play” in COMBATIVE SPORT. In a real fight, there would be eye gouges, striking to the limbs and kicks to the groin.
Easy, dude. My question isn’t related to gene counting. I don’t care if BLG is or isn’t Chinese, Mongolian or whatever.
It isn’t MINE misconception of Kung Fu. It is prevailing misconception of Kung Fu, spread by Jet Li, Bruce Li or Jackie Chen’s movies.
Read my first question again. Carefully. I recognized difference between “real” and “artistic” Kung Fu. What bothers me is why that difference exists? Why Kung Fu practitioners practice movements that will never be used in real fight?
If I asked a question, that means I wanted to learn something. Please, answer my question, don’t offense me.
The gene counting question was directed to VeerLeft as you may notice the quote isn’t one of your statement.
I don’t see how you have taken offense to my answer. In my honest opinion I don’t see anything disrespectful nor offensive in it. Here is a direct quote from my previous statement that will answer your
Q:”Why Kung Fu practitioners practice movements that will never be used in real fight?”
A:”those moves are just to develop the skills, stance and muscle memory.” As well as flexibility and even muscle strength.
A loose comparison of these forms are like shadow boxing. Of course, still very different.
Also, many of the kung fu styles don’t boast their skill to kill. Most, such as Chi Gung and Tai Chi boast their ’skill’ of improving your health.
By writing “It is YOUR OWN misconception”, etc… If you didn’t want tobe offensive, then it is my bad. Sorry.
Anyway, I would like to see more blocs or punch combination in this kind of fight. Some boxing or wrestling matches are far more attractive than this kind of fight. I saw some Baji Quan movements and how it combine movements. Is that applicable in real life? I heard that bodyguards uses that style.
PLEASE!!! SOMEBODY POST A PICTURE OF THIS MISS RUAN SHE MUST BE HOTTTT!!! ;-)
The latest news is that the Thai champs didn’t dare to sign the death agreement. Chicken, chicken,….
So, is the competition really happening ?
anyone else notice how biased the writing is on this site?
Just to let you guys know this happened in the 1970’s. If you were wondering all 5 Thai fighters won by way of KO. I think history will repeat it self again.
Updates! PLEASE!
Will this be broadcasted? What channels? Where can I buy tickets?
Hey people,
Sorry to disappoint you all, but the best of the best Kung Fu masters never reveal themselves nor show pride publicly.
They are true champions that do not trade their discipline for money and fame. They only teach their skills to proven and selective handful of students.
So whatever the result is between the Shaolin Kung Fu vs Thai Boxing means very little except for sponsorship money, increased class attendances, and media attention.
Then are you the best or NOT? True Master?
I also have a much better theory concerning Quantum physics than Steven Hawking…I just refuse to whore my idea out to the media. :)
Haha, good one Veer.. I love the “secret master” clause in Chinese Kung Fu. “no no, we are the best, we just can’t show it, its a secret” lol
100 bucks that the best fighter in China is a Mongolian cow milker
Not the Hui fisherman?
VeerLeft, your analogy is off the mark. It misses that displinary aspect, so you are not comparing apples with apples.
I am Buddhism, and i against whoever in this world using this religious as a business tools, commercialize its. If this is the true that this CEO monk driving BMWs…for his ” business” then we need to see his real heart.
I have been told by many Chinese-Americans that monks nowaday are created by their government, not by temple any more??…it is so said, politics occupied religions.
Good luck for both.
Fuck Da Lu Ren, you are a fucking racist who hates the people of the Middle Kingdom, hence your shitty comments and your last name, fuck. If you think you can do better, why don’t you challenge one of the least able students of a Kung Fu practitioner. I bet he will toss you around like a rag doll with his pants down, taking a crap, farting on your face and drinking a good cup of hot Chinese Jasmine tea at the same time. LOL I happen to have a few Sanda friends who are always interested in a good fight. If you are not up to the challenge and can’t fight, do us all a favor, shut the FUCK UP and go give yourself a nice hand job instead of pounding on the key board. Idiot.
to be honest, thai can win shaolin..because we’ve never seen shaolin in any of the competitions..they scare..maybe..that’s why they keep saying shaolin kungfu is for the body and mind..so funny..just take a look at that guy CEO monk Shi yongxin, fat motherfucker, we can see that this bitch knows no kungfu at all..hahhahahaha
If the five Thai boxers are so powerful, why won’t they sign the death match paper????? Think about it. They don’t want to be carried out of China in some body bags. By the way, Shi, Yongxin is a director, he doesn’t have to fight. He will send some tails after your ass, Mr. Judge to finish you and your big mouth off. hahahahaha… watch your tail, fool.
PREASE ME RAH JET THE NIGERIANS WILL WIN THE BATTRE WIF DERE GOOD ECONOMY
Rah jet,
Nigerians are not even invited to fight the mighty shaolin monks. But if you insist, you should first attend kindergarten to improve your English, specially your spelling, which has a lot to be desired. The English speaking people have a hard time understanding your writings. Then you should jet off in the room all the way to China to put in a request. If all going well, you can then register for the fight. There is loads of moola (money) you can win, so you don’t have to worry about the economy. May I ask what style of Martial Arts you will be using? Gorilla, Crocodile, Giraffe or the highly entertaining Lion King style? LOL…
but then again his english is probably better than your Nigerian.
Perhaps we can all be mature enough to keep the blog about martial arts… You want to call his style “lion king style” cool that’s your opinion, and you’re entitled to it. Since I don’t know anything about Nigerian martial arts I’m not going to comment, but seriously lets keep this about the martial arts and not attack each other.
To people like FDKR and da gong ji, please stop attacking other nations, people and cultural and sub cultural groups, it makes you look stupid. Someone commented that gongfu is like a faggoty ballet dancer, well I did ballet, I’m strait plus I was surronded by beautiful flexible women. Plus since I know gay people am friends and related to some, I’d appriciate if people weren’t derogitory about them, because they are amazing people and that’s the underlying factor here, we are all people.
so lets keep the topic on the martial art
Way to much comments to read but I’m just dropping my 2 cents.
Personally I believe the Thai Kick boxers will be pulling out a win in this one. I’m very skeptical about the ability of the Shaolin’s in an actually fight. To me a lot of their movements are skillful and very precise but I cant see if that would come in handy in a real fight.
I started boxing in 1963
I started asian martial arts in 1966
I am still training
I have fought in tournaments
I have fought in in some very bad alleys
I have been knocked out by many different stylists
styles do not win or loose, fighters do
the determining factors are discipline,conditioning,
and heart.
The quality of master determines the quality of the
student…in all styles.
I have been a practising Chan buddhist since 1968.
martial arts introduced many in the west to asian cultures. Perhaps the Shaolin will help introduce more
people to the Heart Sutra.
The amount of ego displayed in this thread points out
how badly this is needed.
I agree with foretop hand. Styles do not win. It is 90 % an individual thing. Factors which determine a winner are personal training, bravery or guts, conditioning, determination, confidence, mental as well as physical prepareness and to a certain degree, the quality of the trainer. To pass judgement before the match or tournament even begins is moronic, stupid and narrow minded. One should still remember the great BRUCE LEE. One of the world’s best, possibly number 1 martial artist. His style was not Thai boxing, Tai Kwon Do, nor Karate. He was taught Wing Chun Kung Fu which consisted of many moves from different shaolin styles and those moves were simplied. And later on it was developed into Jeet Kwon Do. His moves were refined, skillful, precise, and very practical and He can kick MAJOR ASS. Do you really think he is the only person of Chinese ancestry that had reached this level of skill? I don’t think so. Who will come out winner remains to be seen.
Jeet Kune Do is more than modified Wing Chun.
Lee incorporated fencing, western boxing, judo, filipino styles, jiu jitsu, karate… whatever worked.
bruce lee was an actor. there is little evidence that
he could actually fight
There’s a story I heard in documentary about Bruce Lee. Once, some extra said to him that he is not real fighter, just an actor. Bruce called him to have a match. Guy was knocked by 3rd punch.
It is story I heard on TV, so I cannot confirm that.
Well said by fortop:
not my entire msg was posted…odd. but either way i just tend to favor the simple yet effective methods of fighting. i cant really come up with any off the top of my head lols just saying.
Oh just a question for those who might know more about Shaolin than me:
Do they use those acrobatic moves in an actual fight? like those jumping spinning high kicks? Excuse my lack of formality lols
2nd if they do use those moves, do you think it would be effective? Because i’m very skeptical.
No, they fight using ‘San Da’ which looks like kickboxing, but with hip throws.
The Shaolin fighters wontbe using wide stances or flowery moves.
This fight isnt ‘as advertised’.
ghost_Mao, you are right that Jeet Kune Do incorporates
Judo, Karate, western boxing, jiu jitsu etc…etc….whatever that works. That will fall under the personal training factor I mentioned in the previous post. Bruce Lee simplied and adopted from various styles of fighting, but he never left his root, Wing Chun Kung Fu under the legendary Yip Man.
I like to remind students (at certain stages in thier progress)
You are no longer a cork in the stream but the stream itself
this is true in any legitimate master student relationship. ( master carpenter, apprentice)
The Art Of War is as important today as it was when first written
The Chinese tradition of applying “Intelligent” and
thoughtfull analysis to thier systems is thier great
strength and power.
Bruce Lee could never abandon Yip Man, Yip man could never abandon his master.
Jeet Koon Do is a philosophy of combat. The principles Bruce Lee was exploring are as important to the commander of an armored division as they are to a tourniment competitor.
oh for fucks sake, time to walk the rice paper grasshopper
No matter where I born. I wished to defend China.
Like to see how strong is Kick Boxing.
3 minutes is more enough to see how good is it !!!
so when in december is the fight gona happen
All we know at the moment is it will happen in December 2009. As to the exact day, I have no idea. Most likely we will know the result by January 2010. If I were still at my prime, I would surely register to fight those Thai bandits. I used to kick their asses to Timbutu Tibet and Bunk Fuck Egypt at my prime. No shit. What I used were internal (neigen) and external power, soft and hard , slow and fast, stand up and ground fighting, my whole body parts were my weapons, head, hands, elbows, knees, feet, shin, shoulders, teeth, nostrils, and my back. I was literally a fighting machine with endless energy. I hate to make it sound like boasting, but it is the truth.
Recently, there was a lot of talk about the Thai boxers challenging Chinese kungfu fighters. First, five Thai boxers challenged the Shaolin Temple, which declined to fight. Then the Ermei School came out to accept the challenge. But the truth is now emerging: This is an officially sanctioned commercial competition which is being hyped up by a pack of lies. The Thai boxers have never issued any provocative challenges, and no Chinese have offered to accept the challenges.
Lie #1: The team of the top five Thai boxers challenges the Chinese martial artists
According to the Chinese media, the top five Thai boxers are: Kaoklai, Fairtex, Singmanee Sor-Seesompong, Naruepon Fairtex and Singhyok Sor-Seesan.
On December 12, the Bangkok Post sports reporter Wanchai Rujawongsant said that the Thai media have not carried a single word about this challenge. He has never heard of a fighter named Fairtex. The only Fairtex that he knows is the name of a famous Thai boxing club. In the Chinese media reports, this fighting club even had very specific characteristics: born in 1986; 65 kilograms; 116 matches with 81 wins (including 36 KOs), 31 losses and 4 ties.
Wanchai Rujawongsant said that only Kaoklai out of the other four fighters is a truly first-class fighter.
Lie #2: The Thai boxing champion promises to knock out the Chinese fighter in seconds
Many Chinese media reports say that “the leader of the five Thai boxes is Kaoklai who said that they will sweep the Chinese 5:0. While the Shaolin Temple may have a long outstanding history, they are nothing compared to Thai boxing.”
According to , Thai boxing chamption Kaoklai is currently participating in a tournament in South Korea. According to his website, his next match will be on January 16 in Thailand. There is no China appearance in his schedule. There is no hint as to when (if at all) he ever said that “it would be an insult to ask him to fight Chinese champion Liu Hailong.”
Lie #3: The Shaolin Temple refused to fight the Thai boxing champion
Many media said that the top five Thai boxers want to challenge the Shaolin Temple. The reports said: “A reporter asked Kaoklai whether he was being over-confident to say that they will destroy Shaolin. Kaoklin waved his right fist and said: ‘Get their master Shi Yongxin inside the boxing ring and see’.” The reports then said that Shaolin refused to accept the challenge.
On December 1, Shaolin replied that they have never received any written challenge and they have never had any contact with any Thai boxing group.
… Actually the National Martial Arts Management Centre Free Style Fighting Division is supposed to be in charge of deciding who will be selected for the matches. These competitors have to be registered athletes in this completely commercial competition. The name of the competition is the “Sixth Annual Chinese-Thai Boxing Competition.” In the previous five competitions, China won all the matches.
The promoter behind this “patriotic” farce is Xu Rui. It is his typical style to invoke patriotism and nationalistic sentiments to draw attention to his events.
According to Guangzhou Daily, they have a huge difference in opinion with Xu Rui. Whereas they insists on “looking for the objective truth in order to present the bright spots,” Xu Rui uses the “typical entertainment news hyping to promote the event.” Xu Rui harangued the Guangzhou Daily reporter: “I spent so much time to come up with these ideas, but you have exposed them. Isn’t this like revealing how magic tricks are done?”
Good bit of research there – it deserves a follow up post. Xu Rui as a fool and nationalism is the last refuge of the scoundrel.
That said, Narepol Fairtex is a top tier fighter – he was on ‘Contender Asia’ and a Lumpini Champ. He was KO’d in the King’s Cup earlier this month, so i doubt he’ll be fighting again so soon.
Naruepol, Kaoklai, and Singmanee Sor-Seesompon are pretty high ranked in MT, though not exactly the best in their weight division.
Chinese Kung Fu VS Muay Thai Competition at
Lingnan Pearl Stadium,
Jihua 5 Road, Chancheng,
Foshan, China.
on Saturday 19th December 2009 at 8:00pm.
Phone Edited
Phone:+86757-8321 8490
Are the time, place, date, and phone number mentioned by Swiftlet actually for the Sixth Annual Chinese Thai boxing competition?
Yes, 8:00pm China time.
Can call for detail
Since Xu Rui was a scoundrel who made up all these lies in order to promote the fight, we should put him in the ring with five top tier Thai boxers and let them pound his face in, flatten his ass and maim him for life. If I were’t rapidly approaching 89 years old, I would do the job myself. It is a lesson he badly needed. Cheers, people.
DaGongJi,
Your post shows you are ignorant about Bruce Lee and thus Kung Fu. Bruce Lee was an actor and also a world renowned martial Artist who developed his own Jeet Kune Do style. He was possibly ranked the number 1 fighter in the world pound for pound. To prove his authenticity as an martial artist, you, the ignorant dimwit should challenge one of his students. I bet his student can flip you like a rag doll with his pants down, while taking a morning crap and drinking a good cup of hot chinese Jasmine tea at the same time.
bruce lee was not a ring trained fighter. he was a flowery graduate from acting school in america. he bombed out in acting in america and went to HK. He was never tested in a real competition. the “no hit” tournaments in america do not count as combat. he was a drug addict and died in his mistress’ bed. i have fought numerous gongfu practitioners who foolishly entered karate tournaments. they are the easiest to beat. then the gongfu club memebers always look shocked when their top students get beat.
gongfu is pretty but not effective. i studied gongfu for 6 months in china when i worked in sichuan. the club was in HanYuan. the Shiyi called it “village, no flower gongfu” after my 6 months there they had a tournament with another club and the entire club was afraid to fight me. not because i am good at gongfu but i was 2+ times their size.
china thinks gongfu is some sort of mystical martial art. gongfu is good for movies but laughable in combat.
like ping pong, badminton and such, it is for small men with shoulders the same size as their wastes. as long as gongfu fights gongfu, it is interesting, but when they compete with any other form, they lose.
bruce lees students, bring em on. my record is perfect so far, not afraid of some pansy gongfu artists
“bruce lees students, bring em on. my record is perfect so far, not afraid of some pansy gongfu artists”
Make sure you bring your keyboard with you too.
Kung Fu is the mother of all Martial Arts. In other words, all martial arts originated from China. I have been studying Kung Fu for years and a personal acquantance of Wong Shun Leong. I am fast approaching 90 years old and still beat challengers half of my age. Yes, I still do “Beimo” (accept challenges) and I feel like a young person in his 20’s. I attribute all my health benefits and my prowness in fighting to the practice of Kung Fu. Real Kung Fu is the best, most lethal and most beneficial marshal art in the world. -end of discussion-
gongfu is an inferior martial art. it is not the mother of all martial arts either. gongfu works for 45 kg men fighting 45 kg men. bruce lee was an american, graduating from a b ranked university, in, yes, drama and acting. he flunked out in american acting and went to HK whose standards were abysmally low. his efforts in american non contact and controlled competitions is laughable as a standard in martial arts.
he, like almost all asians, is too small to be competitive in world competition. gongfu is pretty, but of limited use.
one of his students, what a joke, i have lived in china long enought to know that everything is famous and everyone town has a famous dish and everthing chihese is the best
Winjun VS da gong ji
Not Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu vs. Thai Kick-Boxing :D
Maybe both of you can train a students than try to fight on street not in the ring.
In the ring too many rules.

Congratulation to all Chinese fighters !!!
Chinese Kung Fu Wang Sui Wang Sui Wang Wang Sui
Chinese Kung Fu May Live Another Ten Thousand Years
Where can I download the video of the entire competition?
I have yet to know any scoundrel can stoop so low as to lie and twist the facts about Bruce Lee and the Chinese Kung fu until I read da gong ji’s postings. Bruce, majored in philosophy and minored in drama and arts, graduated from an accredited University in the US before he went to Hong Kong to further pursue his career as an actor because he was going no where in Hollywood. At that time, there was much discrimination against the asian and only the worse kind of roles such as restaurant waiters, slaves and door men were awarded to the Chinese and the pay was lousy. He was not a drug addict, far from it. He was a loving husband and affectionate father who died in a friend’s house due to the taking of a head ache medicine which he was allergic to. Any sane martial artist can tell you he is one of the world’s greatest and the best of the best. He was trained in Wing Chun and later incoporated many styles of fighting and developed Jeet Kune Do which had many folowers including but not limited to the Karate Champion, Joe Lewis, Ted Wong, James Couben etc etc….the list goes on and on. His style produced many world full contact champions. Putting all the history aside, Kung Fu as I have predicted before, wiped out the professional Thai boxers 4 to 1 yesterday, December 19, 2009. In the match of Cheung VS his thai opponent, he reportly knocked the thai boxer out cold and who had to be carried out of the stage on a stretcher. Kung Fu and Thai Kick Boxing are the two most respected and effective fighting styles in the world. Kung Fu, being the better of the two, prevailed in this match. This fight also served as a slap-on-the-face for Da Gong Ji’s postings which down graded The Chinese Kung Fu being an inferior martial art etc etc… Mr. Da Gong Ji said he weight 2+ times the Chinese. An average Chinese weight about 150 lbs. That would make him over 300 lbs, an morbidly obese slob to the Chinese standard. Sure the Chinese didn’t want to fight him. He could die of a heart attack during the fight and blame the Chinese for it so his family could collect a large sums of money. The Chinese, being very intelligent people, would not take a chance on him. Sure anyone can claim perfect record in fighting. My 4 year old grandson said that too when he was 3. LOL.. Anyway, my heartfelt congratulations to the Chinese fighters. And long live the Shaolin Temple. May its martial art influence to the world last forever and ever.
Thats not true about KF being superior. Its not about the style most of the time, its mostly about the amount of training, conditioning, and ring experience beginning at a very young age. I would be hesitant in fighting anyone that is physically fit, conditioned, and technically proficient at ANY particular fighting style.
“The Chinese, being very intelligent people”
lol..You must be out of your mind
Chinese men are the shortest men in the world next to their neighbours the Filipinos, who are ½ inch shorter. The primary cause of their diminutive stature is malnutrition from inadequate protein intake. A reflection of the overall poverty of China.
China also suffers from lying to make any statistic to support their country sound better.
http://www.disabled-world.com/artman/publish/height-chart.shtml
Canada 174 cm (5′ 8.5″)
China (PRC) 164.8 cm (5′ 4.9″)
The average BMI of Chinese men is enviably low at 18.
65*65=4225
4225*18=76050
76050/703=108 pounds
The average healthy adult Chinese man is thus 108 pounds, or about 50 kilograms. Given that I weight 100 kilograms, that makes me twice the size, doesn’t it.
China suffers from a 150 year old inferiority complex.
Chinese gongfu is an inferior martial art. Many here have said training, commitment, and so on make the artist. This is only partially true, technique is the equalizer. This fights that you have included links to are pathetic. Any good street fighter would destroy them as you do not have the leisure to dance around like a faggot ballet dancer in a real fight.
Gongfu works for Chinese little men who both use gongfu. Armed without proper kicks and long range attack strategies, gongfu is pathetic. I have been tournament fighting since I was 17 years old and have never seen a gongfu fighter get through eliminations. This included big north American men in my heavyweight division.
One good hard sidekick will take out either of your fighters from at least a metre away.
Bruce Lee died with marijuana in his stomach, he preferred eating it, and died in the bed of a female actors bed who was not his wife. He was known to be one of the first athletes to abuse anabolic steroids and he suffered from “roid rage” and was well known for his violent outbursts on steroids.
Tiger Woods was a great family man and role model, right?
You respond like all Chinese respond when confronted with facts about their country, anger, denial and immature responses.
China is what China is, a desperately poor third world country killing itself through greed and self promotion. Sure your national income has doubled over 15 years, it is now just over 10 kuai each day, average.
Gongfu is pretty but not of use in real fighting, gongfu has pathetic blocking techniques, but they work for 50 kg men taking amusing animal based strikes against each other, yah, slay me with some drunken fist or praying mantis strikes, and the snake, very dangerous.
I love living in china, it is fun and amusing. The world will get to watch the destruction of a society within our life times.
“His style produced many world full contact champions.”
Umm, name five, who fought using gongfu in world open competitions.
“An average Chinese weight about (110) 150 lbs. That would make him over 300 lbs, an morbidly obese slob to the Chinese standard. Sure the Chinese didn’t want to fight him. He could die of a heart attack during the fight and blame the Chinese for it so his family could collect a large sums of money. The Chinese, being very intelligent people, would not take a chance on him.”
Typical Chinese closed mined thinking. You are thinking in terms of the Chinese girly man structure, waists and hips and chest the same size and a 3 inch penis. Think 56 inch chest and twenty inch biceps and 5 ft 11 and 220 pounds.
And Chinese families don’t have large sums of money unless they are corrupt government employees, as china is the most corrupt country in the world that is not at war and has one government.
And Chinese intelligent? Large areas of your country have no schools or schools and no teachers. Jackie Chan regularily builds schools in rural areas as the Chinese government cannot afford to, but they can put men in space, right? Your highest ranked university ranks #239 in the world, using Chinese standards developed in china.
now come on, say it “go home lao wai”
Wow even the famous thaifighter Kaoklai entered that competition. He is a really good K-1 fithter, he did the best knocked out ever on Mighty Mo. Those thaiboxer who entered this competition are real pros/champs,thaiboxing is there fulltime job. They are among the best fighters in Thailand for the moment.
Impressive that so many chinese fighters won. Even me had a doubt about it that the chinese could win.
I´m proud that the chinese won 4-1. But more important that they had good sportsmanship. At the video I saw, they showed both highlights of the both fighter. Not like before only show when the chinese done something good.
What I even feel better about, are that we chinese don´t talk shit about thaiboxing. One of the thaifighter said: chinese kungfu is for girls and we will win 5-0 if the chinese accepted the challenge. :-D
http://v.youku.com/v_playlist/f4024943o1p0.html
Thanks for the link Swiftlet.
Whatever the outcome was, personally i think it was a victory for the thai style as all i really saw were two men kickboxing. The Chinese fighter was clearly adopting the thai stance using thai strikes.
However, respect to the winners. I’m sure that’s all they really care about.
Alright, I was going to fully retire from Chinasmack, but I had to post my last one for this garbage. If any of you guys really think that the Chinese actually did not pay the thai guys to lose these fights look at this link.
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTM5NzI4MzY0.html Then look at the kick Kalokai throws at 22:44 minutes in the fight. Then compare it to his highlight reels
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNDIxOTAwNA==.html
Its obnoxiously obvious that all these guys threw fights. I have even LESS respect for China now then I ever have. If you guys think you really won those fights please go to war with the US any time soon
It doesn’t really make sense that they would accept a bribe to lose a fight now would it? Since they were the ones that were trying to PROVE that Muay Thai is better than Shaolin Kungfu.
Accepting the Bribe would have meant that they have no loyalty, respect, nor dignity in their martial arts, which is even more of a disgrace.
No, it would mean they are Chinese haha!!
Many people in Thai fight to bring food on the table, and this is just one of the many reasons for people to throw away fight.
I doubt this match mean anything to their world standing or whatever belt position in their county. Simply said, this match have no effect to anything whatsoever. Loyalty to country, respect or dignity in their martial arts whatever doesn’t really seem important if you have started professional boxing to earn a living.
Furthermore, whatever “noise” or things that they do before the match may simply be accounted to making this match seem more important than it really is…
Equate More Impt = More $$$
Fcuk da lu ren is funnier for everyday. Do you think the K-1 star will lay down for money to ruin his pro-record?
And now talking about go to war with US. I don´t think USA want to have a war with China.
Yeah USA is the best, that´s is what you think all the time right? Good for you.
It´s about thailand and china, why do you bother to mind anyway. It´s guy like you who gives all americans bad reputation.
I concur, i would like to add the point that…
Also just because that one guy missed a couple of punches, or his punches were thrown in differently, does not mean that he purposefully did it. Factors such as loss of balance may have been an influence, since he did get hit pretty hard on the side of the head.
The hell are we talking about “USA and China going to war” for? Seriously? I thought this was Muay Thai vs Kung Fu. What does this have to do with the US? Christ.
Fai, are you saying that all Americans have a bad reputation? I have a bad reputation? You don’t even know me. It’s guys like you…
And you’re a bit optimistic about people’s ability to do things for money. I’m not saying they threw the fight…but you know people will do anything for large amounts of money. It’s pretty much a standard Chinese business practice to throw bribery at a problem, and standard Chinese government practice of showing Chinese win some competition for nationalism purposes.
No, I say that I feel sorry that FDLR gave american people bad reputation, because not all are bad. I have nothing against america. Do you understand now what I mean? Did I use the wrong gramma or something???
For example, if I go out and act like a shit every day here in Sweden, of course it will give the chinese people bad reputation. What part don´t you understand?¨
Sometime I can´t undestand why so many americans are so hostile. I was actually helping the american people to say not everyone is like FDLR.
Mr president Obama just won the nobel peace prize, he would never want to have a war. Not every american is like FDLR.
No, that’s the thing that I’ve noticed in China or with Chinese people here. You are not an ambassador to your country. Not officially. No one is going to know if you’re Chinese or not unless you somehow say so. So, if you go out and act like a dick, then people will generally just think YOU’RE a dick. Not the entirety of the Chinese population. Trust me, China has assholes and nice people, just like every other country in the world. Except for the US, we’re all nice and handsome/beautiful (yes I’m joking).
Congratulations to all the winners!
And thank you to all participants, training,
dedication, and courage, are also required in those
that did not win,… this time.
Comments, like some above, ONLY tell us about the
commentator,unless we were there.
This just shows me that you guys know NOTHING about fighting. All of the movements of the thai fighters were flat footed and with NO POWER. At one point the Chinese fighter fighting Kalaokai elbowed him and then apologized..
I love all these guys posting now saying that “how would they do this after they said all these things about muay thai, blah blah” This fight counts NOTHING for their professional records as it is a no meaning Sanda fight in CHINA. And, here is something else, they fight for MONEY.
Shaolin recently IPO’d for 2 BILLION RMB. this was marketing. All you have to do is watch any of the other fights that these thais have fought and look at the difference in movements. Not to mention that for the most part the Chinese fighters still didn’t look like they won half of them even though they were still throwing the fight.
You wu mao guys can talk all you want but people who know China, know fighting, and know fighting in China know this was all a fix. Say what you want but even a great deal of CHINESE on the blogs in YOUKU recognize these were fixed fights. You need to feel good about yourself go ahead. The truth is still the truth
I think regardless if the Chinese fighters won or lose, there would be people talking. Either “I told you so” or “They cheated” which is what we see now. I say just enjoy it for entertainment :D
Well, people ‘throw’ fights all the time in this country…I KNOW. So please stop with the ‘impossible’ theme. They had a few sparring matches that had a victory awarded in the end. This exhibition match doesn’t even go on his record I’ll bet.
How odd that vs Muay Thai in China the Chinese are victorious 90% of the time while in International competition ie… K-1, their record is far,far worse…
Weird!
FDLR, I saw the Kaoklai fights…and he mailed in this fight for real.
We have established long ago that I use this forum to vent my frustrations and yes I think at times it gets carried away I myself admit that.
But come on guys, any of you guys who have lived here can ding me on this. Don’t you get tired of seeing the just rampant ridiculousness that is the national pride of China? I mean come on, I would love to see a day when Chinese fighters can compete on the world stage and do well TRUST ME.
But when 1. None of these guys were Shaolin Monks (all professional Sanda Fighters) 2. It was obvious to anyone who knows fighting that the thais were barely kicking and using NO POWER. 3. If you know anything about this place, you know that they will pay to win for PRIDE.
I mean it just gets old, seriously… I have seen guys with 4 amature fights beat professional Chinese fighters. You mean to tell me that these guys who have beat international heavy weights (elite level fighters), came to China and got dominated? If these Sanda guys are so awesome, why aren’t they fighting outside of China? YOu mean to tell me that they just came out of secret to beat some of the world’s BEST fighters? Its kinda hard to believe dont you think?
Im just tired of the facade and having to hear how great China is from every single Chinese person, when you know that 80% of it is bullshit. Just like this competition was. If it wasn’t, do this. Hold it in Japan, with the winner getting the purse, allow throws, but allow knees and elbows. Then see the result.
Not in China, with chinese refs, payment from the Wushu federation. Cuz guys, these Thais did not come to China to fight for free or national honor. You know, none of my friends in thailand knew this competition was even going on? And they are fight promoters. Do the math
What the hell are you talking about? there are Thailand v France, Thailand v Holland, Thailand v Japan tournaments being promoted just about every year. Hey all of them end up being nationalistic wankfests with controversial results. Don’t get your panties in a knot. Fuckwit.
I think is stupid that many people is talking crap about different countries because of this thread. This is only martial art and it´s not the most important thing. We asian here in Sweden, we are all friends and respect each other.
My experience here on this site, the american people here are very hostile. Even when I say good things about them.
Finally they have a nice president, hope one day they can learn something from him.
I love how…in two short paragraphs, you contradict yourself completely.
“I think is stupid that many people is talking crap about different countries because of this thread.” + “the american people here are very hostile.” = ingenious
Absolutely amazing, Fai. Brilliant use of contrast.
Welcome to Chinese logic 101 bro.
“We the chinese are angry because you Americans refuse to give us nuclear and advanced technology!!! We support your whole economy by giving you cheap shoes! How can you do this to the Chinese people”
dont be upset your wife left you, it’s not the chinese people’s fault that she prefers them over you!
Your brains are crap and you think with your ass when you can even entertain the thought of winning a war when you are losing two and going bankrupt. But I’m not surprised! I have met plenty of shitheads like you through my years in the Midwest USA. Bankrupt nations have the less to worry about waging wars. Heard od Mutual Assured Destruction or are you too stupid to understand your own language, shithead! I pity you for the arrogance you display in broadcasting the limit of your subhuman intelligence
Canada gave the chinese nuclear reactors years ago.
Most of your american nuclear technology was made in canada, including the nukes used in WWII
I just watched Swiftlet’s video and I cannot tell difference between to styles. So, can someone explain difference to us, less versed in martial styles.
Lame… it’s just a normal fight . no matter who win. it doesnt show how lousy shaolin are , or how lousy thai boxer are . there are diff people with diff abilty and also the amount of luck to win this fight . shaolin may win the first fight , may also lose if thai boxer use another player . there is no higher or lower skill in fight . all fight are resulted by luck . so guy go watch world wresting entertainment ! all the best =D
All what I saw is not a good fighters.
Only a good martial art performer inside the ring.
Good fighter just like Mike Tyson.
When bell ring & begin fight until one of them carry out.
Not win by points.
Good fighter can prove in one or two rounds in more then enough :D
Why Chinese Shaolin fight in Thai Kick-Boxing style and not Thai fight in Chinese Shaolin style ???
God Bless You All & “Merry Christmas”
Look,t like to point something out… everyone who is trashing gongfu, Please read and consider this… Sanda is a increadibly simple version of gongfu. Infact, it’s a kick boxing version. It is not Shaolin. The Shaolin utilize, today both northern and southern styles. When they go interstate and international, yes they use the pretty performance and dance movements. However that wouldn’t be how they fight. I’m five feet four inches tall and do gongfu, Jow gar and I can take out 1st dans in other styles who are twice my weight (I am 65kg) against people who are 6 feet to 6 feet four inches tall. I’ll also point out that there are over 400 styles of gongfu. I dare whoever that says gongfu is shit to try to fight a couple of Shifus that I know. 1 Randy Sullivan Benett, 2 Nathan Head and 3 is a sigung, Henry Sue. In order of their martial arts, 1 jow ga, 2 jow gar, 3 southern praying mantis (which is a style form the shaolin) also go onto youtube and type in dong gon chow gar tong long (thats the SPM) they use a lot of open hand strikes put the power from it is gargantuine.
did you really say “speak Nigerian”
the official language of Nigeria is English
usually only americans are so ignorant of other countries
The “lao Wais” dickheads here are cast aways from their own countries and have to move to China to make a 2nd class citizen’s living. They feel that they are being discriminated against, stepped on, spitted on and have no way of telling anyone because they are not intelligent enough to learn the Chinese language. The only way to vent their hidden anger, frustration is to trash the Chinese way of life, the people, their culture thru this forum in public and to wank off privately.
All that jealousy, prejudice and narrow mindedness are revealed by their comments here, only because China won the match against Thailand kickboxing. No matter what they think or write, they can not change the fact that China comes out on top in this competition. The supreme skill of the Chinese Kung Fu fighters, their technique and power can not be underestimated. Yes, Chinese Kung Fu will reign for a long long time to come wether you like it or not.
Mr. Da Gong Ji mentioned about his 57″ chest, 21 ” biceps etc,etc.. quite impressive, but he forgot to mention about his 42″ boobs DDD cup and an 80 inch butt. His gay lover loves him for that except can’t get any satisfaction from sucking his boobs (no milk, can’t quench thirst), also his 9 ” snake between the thighs suffered from erectile dysfunction, though long, can’t insert in his faggot lover’s ass to satisfy his ramming pleasure. Should Mr. Da Gong Ji wear a dress, he looks drop dead gorgeous from behind, but do hide that face of yours only your mother can love. Mr. Da Gong Ji think he could challenge the other Kung Fu Club after 6 months of training. 6 months of Kung Fu training won’t make you a master in your farting horse stance, I can tell you that. Funny you talk so badly about Kung Fu, but turn around and enroll in one to learn. You appear to be a little unstable upstairs. Chinese people, though shorter and thinner, but they enjoy the longest span of life. Big, tall, heavy, too much protein in the body is not a good thing. These people live briefly and get invited to St. Peter’s welcoming party. My american friend, 5′9″ tall, 243 lbs, just had a heart attack. Heart valves were not working properly and had to be replaced. He was on the verge of dying on the operation table but fortunately survived , but is disable for life. Doctor gave him 5 years to live. This seldom happens to the thinner and a bit under wight Chinese folks.
Also, you want to fight one of Bruce Lee’s students. Make sure you shop for a good set of casket and bring it with you, so you will have it readily availabe when you get knocked out, in a coma and never wake up again.
Your comment “one good hard sidekick will take out ….”, but don’t you think you need to practice kicking out of a paper bag first???huh?? LMFAO….
*rolleyes* Why are we talking about each other? Talk about the fights please.
I have trained for 37 years and hold higher than black belt rankings in three martial arts. I went into a locked in 6 month training in china for the experience, 1/2 a day out on sunday, in which the shifu and shiyi drank, smoked and went to brothels.
I am also fluent in Standard Mandarin, unlike most chinese, in fact I have worked in areas of china in which I am the only one that speaks mandarin.
Most of the training equipment in the gongfu school i attended in HanYuan, Sichuan, I broke within the first week as it did not stand up to real hits, including welded equipment.
All the matches I had within the club ended in less than 10 seconds, those who were foolish enough to come flying at me got kicked mid air. those who were foolish enough to get in close got knocked out with round house punches to the head.
After the first day the shiyi told me that he would not fight me as it would shame him in front of his school.
He told me that gongfu worked for small men with short legs.
the biggest challenge was not training but avoiding all the students who wanted to see my cock. this is a common phenomena in china. me two sons were there with me and could not go into the disgusting trough toilets alone as the chinese boys would stand and stare at their cocks. my sons slept in a dorm with the chinese students and the chinese boys would have circle jerks each night and they even had circle jerk songs they sang while jerking each other off.
if you want to feel like a porno star in china just go to a public shower and all the men will stand at the opening of your shower and point and talk about your cock.
chinese people certainly do not enjoy a long life. endemic hepatitis A, B, C and horrible health care during the cultural revolution and the great leap forward have left two generations of sick people.
any health care statistic in china is viewed with suspicion.
perhaps your greatest and typical ignorance is that all white people that speak english are not american. i am not a big fat ignorant loud mouthed american, i am canadian. we enjoy a substantially higher standard of living and one of the best health care systems in the world. america is ranked 19th by the UN.
China is ranked #82 in life expectancy
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_life_expectancy
Zeven11,
To the uncivilized, uncultured barbarians, you speak the uncivilized, uncultured barbarian words, using the same medicine against them as they against you. I meant no harm to any third world countries and their English abilities, nor any person’s sexual preference. I do however feel antagonistic about the two dickheads you mentioned in your postings, who put down their host country and living there as parasites.
Winjun, I’m unsure about exactly what you mean when you say that I’m using the “uncivilized, uncultured barbarians words” I wasn’t accusing you of making fun of other peoples’ sexual prefferences, which is why I addressed it to the two dick heads. But in my defence it does seem like you were being condesending to that guy, if that wasn’t your intention, or you weren’t then I apologise for my attempt at chiding you.
Kung Fu is not used in MMA. There is a reason for that. Kung Fu is a holestic exercise, not a fighting method. If Kung Fu was an effective martial art in actual fighting MMA fighters would employ it. They don’t.
AMERICAAAAAA FUCK YEAAAH
Zeven 11,
“uncivilized, uncultured…..” those words were not pointing at you, but at the two morons mentioned in your posting. I should have made it clearer, but I just wanted to make it short, hence the confusion. My apologies.
DaGongJi’s queer boyfriend needs to bitchslap him silly for making up all these lies. Yes, he holds higher than black belts in three martial arts, 1. giving blow jobs, 2. ass licking 3. wanking artist. He is probably a young punk, Bruce lee want-to-be and a keyboard warrior . He claims he speaks fluent standard mandarin, but the Chinese people can’t understand a word of what he said. He mentioned his two sons slept in a dorm with the Chinese students. They would circle jerk while his two sons opening their mouths and waiting to see who can swallow the yellowish, sticky stuff faster. They would have a match between themselves. Very interesting. hahahaha…The two sons put on a show much more interesting than the Chinese boys.
I went to Canada just recently for vacation. Expect to see a nice country and decent people. But much to my horror when arriving Vancouver, passing downtown east side on Hasting street, to see the dilapidated buildings, hundreds upon thousands of homeless people and drug addicts sitting and lying down on the sidewalk all the way from the front of Patricia Hotel to the other side of the block and the prostitutes run rampantly day and night, selling their tails for as cheap as 5 canadian dollar a piece. Some young canuck girls in their teens, wore sighs and beg for money just to get a piece of pizza to feed their starving, skeleton like bodies. They are much thinner than the Chinese people you so love to discredit. It was a pure eyesore, a dump and it has gone downhill since the 1980s. The coming olympics will expose it for what it really is, a dump. Sure they would show the good things on TV, but the protesters will make sure the world sees the rest. What’s with the drug dealers and hookers??? Every big city has these kind of problem. But the extend of this problem in Canada is ranked number 1 worldwide. I have yet to see another city worse than this and I have travelled around the world 2 times. It has been going on for decades and the Canadian Government did nothing for these people. This fact contradicts numb skull da gong ji’s claim “Canadian enjoy a substantially higher standard of livings and one of the best health system in the world”. Most canucks I came cross are peaceful, but some are very nasty, possibly on drugs. When they are nasty, they are very very loud and nasty. I took the airporter bus to go to my hotel from the airport. The bus driver , a young canuck in his early 40’s, almost hit a pedestrian, Yelled out loud inside the bus so all the passengers could hear ” Good for you, you fucking XXXXX, make sure you look before crossing the street next time……..”. When answering a question from one of the passengers, he kept fanning his face with his hand and said stink…stink..I don’t know what he smelled, probably his upper lip…LOL… If he worked in my country, he would be reported and fired immediately. The dimwit Dagongji acts online exactly like this driver..When you behave like a jerk , everyone will treat you as a jerk. Shame on you to give your country a bad name.
Vancouver is constantly ranked as one of the top 5 cities to live in worldwide. Currently ranked number 3. In fact, Canada has 5 cities in the world top 25; Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver. The USA does not have one in the top 25 and has not for decades. Honolulu comes in at 29, a city economically inaccessible to continental Americans. The quality of the city is perhaps at least in part due to the immigration from other countries and the distance from continental USA and all of its social problems, and the lack of Caucasian Americans (19.67%).

Most taxi drivers in big cities are immigrants or refugees, they bring their culture into their cabs with them.
Those websites quoted above contained much inaccuracies and outdated information, whereas what I saw as an eyewitness in Vancouver, British Columbia just two months ago were current events and undeniable truth.
these statistics come from the UN and world recognised statistics. including american government. the oldest statistics are 2008.
drugs were not a problem until hong kong split with britian and large numbers of HK chinese came to Vancouver bringing heroin and crystal meth with them. the chinese triad organised crime families have invaded Vancouver, Canada is the most sought immigration destination in the world. we bave very liberal immigration policies.
Rather than taking responsibility to correct the drug problems, it is very easy to point your finger to someone else, “He did it, not me” or “The HK Chinese brought it in, not us. We are innocent” Canada has a really good customs department. You really think it is that easy to bring drugs in without some sort of Canadian collaboration? Once get caught smuggling drugs to the country, the immigrants know that they would be banned from living there. So they would be very afraid to do such a thing. In my opinion, immigrants are the least likely culprit to blame your drug problem on.
I personally would not want to live in Canada if they pay me a million dollars. (Come to think about it, for a million dollars, may be. LOL) I don’t want to deal with so many social problems: drunkards, homelessness, prostitutes, drug dealers, badly starving people, lack of good job opportunities, bad mouthed nasty assholes who are indefferent to others’ feelings just to name a few. I have too much to live for and I am happy living in paradise.
Dagonji is a genius, First, he attacks the third world nation. Second, he fends off the counter attacks by making up all kinds of stories and lies, misquotes and sorry ass excuses. When all fails, he resorts to his last weapon, pointing fingers.
My 4 year old grandson when caught stealing candy, often said ” I didn’t take the candy, charlie ate it”
Dagongji is employing the same technique. ” We are innocent, the Chinese dit it.”, not knowing that a four year old child’s technique will not work in the adult world.
I am done with this blog. Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year to all.

The UN Human Development Index (HDI) is a comparative measure of poverty, literacy, education, life expectancy, childbirth, and other factors for countries worldwide. It is a standard means of measuring well-being, especially child welfare. The index was developed in 1990 by the Pakistani economist Mahbub ul Haq, and has been used since 1993 by the United Nations Development Programme in its annual Human Development Report.

the american economy, do we need statistics?

srsly whats with the conflicts? can any1 jsut tell me ahve they fought yet???
yes, they fought, like bitches
SO WHO WON TELL ME!!
Da gong ji needs to stop being a faggot
seriously. The Thais lost, get over it.
You say it was a rigged match, well then you are just insulting the integrity of the thai fighters lol. What asshole would insult the other team, challenge them to a match, then take a fall? Plus they did it to “defend” buddhism so it would be even more of a failure if they threw in the match.
Doesn’t mean you start bashing the Chinese. In Canada, this is called racism and being a bigot. I don’t know why you would start insulting the Chinese people over a fight. There is absolutely no reason unless you are just being a douchebag.
I am Canadian. And I am insulting the Chinese people. I am racist. They can never see the fucking forest for the bamboo. I have lived in China 3 1/2 years, this country and their way of thinking is fucked. They are dooming themselves as a civilisation as they are so fucking ignorant. They believe exactly what they are told and see no other position. China is doomed, a big fraud. It is a desparately poor third world country trying to fool the world into believing that they are an emerging player. When I lived in Nigeria, they thought the same way. They thought they were a military super power.
i am not insulting china, i am insulting gongfu, the martial arts of faggots and fairies
he is not a real abbot just put fake abbot from beijing goverment bullshit ! shaolin propaganda controll from bj more then 10 years now sence old abbot dide
Doesn’t matter if he is a fake or real abbot. Presently, he represents the head of the Shaolin Temple. That is all it matters. Your English and Grammar are so bad, Yung. Had to read your post 5 times before I understand what you are saying. Good grief. Couldn’t find my reading glasses anywhere either.
i watched a clip but they were fighting in a ring. Was this it? also the chinese person was not monk can you guys explain to me?
Again, does it matter if he was a monk or not? The name of the game was Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu against Thai Kick Boxing, NOT Chinese Shaolin monks against Thai kick Boxers.
i c thank you for your explanation.
Kungfu is near useless in street fighting. He is what you should practise to actually defend yourself.
If you are a beginner, just take boxing and learn how to throw a punch. That is the quickest way to learn how to defend yourself.
Top fighting styles worldwide from best to worst.
1) American MMA (Combination of 2,3,5,6)
2) JiuJitsu
3) Muy Thai
4) Chinese Wushu
5) Greco Roman Wrestling
6) Western Boxing
7) Tae Kwon Do
8) Chinese Kung Fu
a. American MMA – made up of wild punches and take downs. Chinese Shuai Jiao will kick its ass to Timbutu.
b. Jiujitsu – JJJ originally came from Chinese Shuai Jiao (mother of JJJ). From JJJ it went to BJJ. Need I say more.
c. Muay Thai – Just got wiped out by Chinese San Da Kung Fu 4 to 1. One thai boxer got knocked out.
Emphasize on simple elbow, knee and kicking attacks that are part of the most basic Kung Fu movements.
d. Chinese Wushu – pretty and flowery parts of Kung
Fu that are intriguing to look at and suitable for public performance. Can be used for fighting if needed.
e. Greco Roman Wrestling or (Gekco wrestling) –
Shuai Jiao Kung Fu will kick it’s ass to Bunfuk Egypt. Useless for actual fighting.
f. Western Boxing – Simple punches and blocks. Can’t defend kicking or long range fighting. Can’t come close to Kung Fu fighters, hence can’t use their combinations. Western Boxing has power like a grain of sand as compared to Tai Chi fajin. The power of which is like an asteroid hitting earth.
g. Tae Kwon Do – Not much, mostly fancy high kicks with karate rigid hand blocks. Wing Chun Kung Fu will clean them up in a heart beat.
h. Chinese Kung Fu is a well rounded martial art that provides all of the techniques required in a fight for self defense plus many health benefits. With the exception of d. above, none of the other martial arts provides health benefits. Their intention is to hurt, to maim or to kill like an animal. It has no redeeming value whatsoever. Their ultimate goal is violence, which can be easily defeated by “gunate”. Because of the above reasons, I rank Kung Fu as the number 1 martial art in the world.
I just want to set the record straight by providing the facts of each martial art.
Confucious said, “Person knows refrain from speaking. Person doesn’t know farts with his mouth and speaks thru his ass” like some of the (Wai Kwo gwai zue) do.
You forgot Texas Kung Fu. It includes tactics revolving around the firing of a shotgun at the target. Very difficult to block it’s attacks.
MMA has been used time and time again in actual fighting in every part of the world. That is why it has become the style of choice for a lot of people. I have never seen Chinese martial artists have any real success outside of light contact tournament matches against other Chinese martial artists and questionable matches in China. Your just doing all their fighting on paper then expecting it to mean something. It doesn’t.
Bruce Lee has more credibility then any Chinese Martial Artist ever and even he called classic Gung Fu a classical mess. He also said that no amount of land swimming can prepare you for the real thing.
Sun Tzu said “Avoid the enemy when he is strong.” Yeah that’s Chinese Gung fu in a nutshell.
1) You missed the post in the thread that proved that the Thais never said anything, and that the promoter is in league with the Shaolin Monastery (WHICH IS A BUSINESS).
They had just IPO’d and held this tournament to drive their stock up. Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes.
2) Dear ChinUsa, Shuijiao is one of the more useful styles in Chinese Kung Fu. However Brazilian Jiujitsu didn’t come from Shuijiao anymore than Porsche 911 came from Model T. One is clearly about 3 steps beyond the other in terms of evolution.
3) Just because you as an ethnically Chinese person would like to claim rights over ancestry of all martial arts, doesn’t make it so… in fact it’s kind of sad. Karate is already a better KungFu…Bruce Lee already told you that Classic Kung Fu was largely useless, but he would have been boo’d off of the bbs by the nationalistic youth.
Traditional Martial Artists that disparage MMA are just concerned that fighting may finally be the domain of warriors and real athletes, not just History buffs and nerds in pajamas.
you are fucking stupid. Don’t put words in Bruce Lee’s mouth. Bruce Lee had huge respects for traditional kung fu. Just not their ideologies of secretive practice.
“Karate is already a better KungFu” ummmmmmmmmmm wrong. They’ve been doing fights similar to this event but with Karate and Kung Fu fighters. But they weren’t all about money making like this one was. It was actually a legit fighting event worth watching. Kung Fu won. 5-0.
Also, even if what you say WERE true, just because it is better doesn’t mean it can’t be evolved from a ‘weaker’ art. Current Humans and Apes are way more evolved and adapted to our environment then primates are. Doesn’t mean we don’t evolve from them.
“Traditional Martial Artists that disparage MMA are just concerned that fighting may finally be the domain of warriors and real athletes, not just History buffs and nerds in pajamas.” MMA IS A RING SPORT. RING SPORT. SPORT.
“ust because you as an ethnically Chinese person would like to claim rights over ancestry of all martial arts, doesn’t make it so…” It’s not just claims, there is historical evidence. Ask any historian regarding Asian history. – oh, just becuase your stupid, that doesn’t mean asian historian, it just means a historian who’s field of study is Asian History.
“Brazilian Jiujitsu didn’t come from Shuijiao anymore than Porsche 911 came from Model T. One is clearly about 3 steps beyond the other in terms of evolution.”
Shuijiao > JJJ > Judo > BJJ. Can you do a simple trace the steps? or are you to fucking stupid to?
Anyone who calls someone stupid by saying “your stupid” or “to fucking stupid to” is absolutely hilarious. Wow. What a winner. Don’t take it so personally, Steven. When you get so upset that you start throwing around ignorant, pathetic insults about a person’s intelligence when you make spelling mistakes in the very same sentence, you’re not helping yourself prove a point at all. Even if you did actually take more than a half-assed attempt at rebutting Veerleft’s comment. Which, by the way, you didn’t. All you said was to go ask historians and make some vague reference to some fight between Kung Fu and Karate without actually providing any real evidence. MMA, as far as the title of “MMA” is concerned, is a sport. However, don’t think that an MMA fighter couldn’t annihilate an opponent in a real fight. That’s real blood, lacerations, and fractured orbital bone structure you see in that ring.
Martial arts styles are more or less effective depending on the abilities and physical limitations of the person using them. Perhaps Kung Fu might benefit one man while Judo benefits another. Perhaps a man who’s built and has the physique perfect for Muay Thai would destroy someone who has practiced Kung Fu for years but wasn’t exactly built physically or mentally for it. Get what I’m saying? Part of the martial art is the person himself/herself.
Different martial art styles are better in different situations and settings.
Gongfu evolved for men weighing 108 pounds. the laws of physics cannot be reaarranged with magic, a 108 pound man cannot generate enough force to injure a 100 kg westerner. boxing, which you ridicule, is a very lethal sport, if you take one of those gloves off and take a shot to the head from a competitive boxer, you are finished. if you want to use some praying mantis or snake blocks to try and block a heavy weight boxer, good luck.
and break a leg with gongfu or muy thai, sure, an asian girly chicken leg. again, force = mass times acceleration squared. asians are too weak too generate significant force.
the fatal flaw of china is its entrenchment in believing that china is so great and powerful. this has been the downfall of many civilisations.
Kung fu generally will not stand up to a 6′3″, 250lb man running at full speed with the intention of football tackling you. There’s no kick or flip that helps you dislodge yourself from this sort of thing, thus resulting in your face being punched in.
what NIT WIT would run full speed to tackle someone? that someone could move out of the way in a split second sending the FAT guy tripping, rolling around, and ending up hurting himself. besides, one kick in the groin is all you need, and a phoenix-eye-fist in the neck will easily take the guy down
The easiest part of your argument to get right, regurgitating the equation for force, would get you kicked out of first semester physics. You have undermined your own credibility by attempting to form a chain of reasoning around a subject which your own words prove you don’t understand.
Huo Yuanjia didn’t “rearrange physics with magic”, he rearranged the faces of all competitors regardless of their martial arts origins, using a system which you say is only effective in the case of one twig vs. another.
When theory collides with reality, reality wins every time. Which leaves you the option of building a new theory, or clinging to your ignorance.
I did not see any damage done, girly fighting.
i think there are such things as “pressure points”, using opponent’s force against them, oh and being heavy doesn’t make one strong….and for a more satirical comment, bony people can do some damage jabbing people…like when my bony cousin jabbed me his with his bony elbow
kung fu(flips, kicks, punch, uppercuts, etc) looks a lot cooler than boxing(punching, kicking….i guess that’s it)
http://www.chinasmack.com/videos/guangzhou-kung-fu-master-fights-young-man-on-bus/ i guess the skinner man beat the bigger guy in this match
““Brazilian Jiujitsu didn’t come from Shuijiao anymore than Porsche 911 came from Model T. One is clearly about 3 steps beyond the other in terms of evolution.”
Shuijiao > JJJ > Judo > BJJ. Can you do a simple trace the steps? or are you to fucking stupid to?”
Is the arrow a ‘greater than’ symbol? Or represent some sort of chronological order in which things evolved?
No matter, either way you are wrong.
You miss the meaning of the analogy, which in itself is a trap. There are many steps of evolution between the Model T and the Modern car. And the modern car is better than the Model T in EVERY way.
By attempting to block EVERY ‘perceived’ attack in this argument you have in fact lost sight of the true nature of the attack (Similar to Wing Chun vs. Muay Thai hahaha) and hence positioned yourself poorly in the fight itself.
Nobody minds that Shuijiao is the australopthicus to the BJJ’s homo sapien… but let their be no doubt as to which is more evolved and more effective.
Steven T, do you by any chance ‘practice’ any of this wonderful Shuijiao yourself?
Cung Le, half Chinese and half Vietnamese, uses san shou (San Da) Kung Fu together with Shuai Jiao ground fighting is an unbeatable MMA Champion fighter. He broke Frank Shamrock’s arm with one spinning back kick, Fu mie gerk, in Chinese meaning tiger tail kick. His power, moves and throws are phenomenal, all attributed to the Chinese Martial Arts. Because the businessmen do not sponsor those Chinese fighters, you don’t see too many of them in MMA. But this will change, there already are many San Shou, San Da schools around in China and in the States. Soon these people will be in the MMA Competition and you will see major ass kicking just like Cung Le. Search online to see Cung Le in action if you dare. Shuai Jiao compared with BJJ is like a professional wrestler wrestles with a 3 year old child. BJJ is only a Child’s play. A good Shuai Jiao 120 lb female could beat any BJJ wrestlers with no problem whatsoever.
“Shuai Jiao compared with BJJ is like a professional wrestler wrestles with a 3 year old child.”
So, it’s like child molestation? ;)
He got knocked the hell out last weekend by Scott Smith (who is not in the top 20 worldwide in his division).
If I dare? Tell you what… ‘IF YOU DARE’ bring the toughest Kung-Fu guy you know by here for a sparring session. We’ll fix him up good with someone roughly his size. And I’m in Shanghai, we have no UFC level fighters here, just a few decent guys who do have.
And if you know any Shuaijiao females, bring them too, because we’ll give them some submission training and some Muay Thai and turn them into the Chinese version of Megumi Fuji.
Supposed to say…’do have a bit of training.’
The Texas Kung Fu founder was probably the deceased David carradine. LMAO
Nah, he was from California. Not entirely sure what other relation to Texas you could make from him. However, they’ve been perfecting this martial art since the 1800s.
ChinUsa, you obviously aren’t up on current events concerning fighting…but check Youku (we don’t get youtube freely in PRC, but of course you don’t know that)… Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida, Georges St. Pierre, BJ Penn, Fedor, Aoki…
These people are using 21st century Kung Fu… which is a mixtures of styles, tailored to the individual and his/her abilities, limitations and inclinations.
THE MONEY is in MMA. There is NO money in SANDA, SHUAI JIAO etc… and you are trying to tell me that if a Chinese fighter could do it, they wouldn’t? Gimme a break.
To Fcuk Da Lu Ren, I am very curious where you were born and brought up. You sound very insane and desperate, like having been sexually molested by some Chinese people during childhood.
Can you share with us your life experience?
Jones, you are right that shuai Jiao VS BJJ is like child molestation. BJJ is too weak to be resistant so Shuai Jiao fighters can do anything they want on top of them including molestation or shove a red hot burning steel rod up their ass. LOL…One moron made a stupid remark that Kung Fu is only for small asian people. What imbecilic inbreeder would make such a remark??? Kung Fu is an art and a skill. If it works for a small man, more so it will work for a bigger or heavier man. It is just like saying Engineering only works for an engineer over 200 lbs, it won’t work for those under 200 lbs. That is bullshit. That is why I said those “wai Kwo gwai zue” know nothing, only talk thru their ass.
Veerleft, Cung le dominated the whole fight kicking, and punching Scott Smith like a punching bag, waiting for the kill. But like any boxing match, Scott Smith, the underdog, got lucky, executed a blind punch when Cung Le was down and knocked him from behind to the face and made him bleed. That was the reason why the fight was awarded to Scott Smith. This fight was the first fight after Cung le had laid off for 2 years. Scott Smith won’t be so lucky the next time he fight Cung le I will tell you that despite the fact that he has a steel chin and ab.
Like I mentioned before, there are many San Shou (San Da) school open up in China and in the States. They don’t have business sponsorship right now, but things will change. When they do come out to compete in the MMA match in the near future, you will see guys trained in San Shou, San Da and Shuai Jiao pound the shit out of the rest of the competitors into submission everytime, I guarantee you because the Chinese martial art is much more superior than the rest.
To spar with a few weaklings in your group, a smart Kung Fu beginner will do the job whooping your ass. There is no need for any good kung Fu guys. It is more convenient for you to find your self a sparring partner in the Shaighai park and get your ass kicked there. Better yet, video tape it and upload it on youtube for all to see and laugh, idiot.
Fcuk Da Lu Ren is another imbecile whose mother and father are brother and sister and was molested and gangbanged by the Chinese at the tender age of teens. He was holding all these anger inside till now to manifest it online.
1. Cung Le WAS dominating…I never said he wasn’t. You said he was unbeatable and undefeated. I proved you wrong. I like Cung Le, but facts are facts. And fact is that he is not the best guy and not in the best org. So…do the math. Being that Anderson Silva is in the same weight class=NO CHANCE.
2. “Kung Fu is an art and a skill. If it works for a small man, more so it will work for a bigger or heavier man.” – Agreed. I cannot speak for others on this board but do not lump me in with them.
3. Nevermind any weakling, you and anyone that you know, are invited most cordially to spar with me. This is less about proving a point and more about me needing more variety in sparring partners (especially of Chinese style, since many or my opponents are from SJ and SD. Seriously…I doubt you will find many takers though.
4. The state sponsors every kind of athlete that it believes can win and bring glory to the Mother. The best San Da and Shuaijiao fighters in China are training for MMA… and their weakness is the submission game. Ask Tie Quan and Ao Hai Lin what their mainstay in matches is these days…they will tell you BJJ.
As for talking out of his ass, seems that YOU don’t know what you’re talking about, and likely aren’t even in CHINA at all.
*if you really feel this hostile towards me because I have a different theory towards the implementation of martial arts, then please bring ANYONE that you know between the ages of 18-80 years of age, and 90-100kg that you consider a ‘Traditional Kung-Fu’ expert. Would be better if this person was you, but I suspect you are more the ‘record and put it on Youtube’ type than the take a shot at it yourself type.
Anyway, I promise that I’ll be a gentleman and not gloat.
BTW…How did Cung get to the ground? Hint…he didn’t trip and fall.
I know what fighting is, you seem to think it is a videogame and we are arguing over which controller configuration is best.
Ohhh…I almost forgot. Did anyone here watch WuLinFung (CHinese K-1) last saturday night??
Cung le was undefeated up to one point. That is why he was the middle weight Champion. I couldn’t guarantee anything in the future. Any boxing champion could lose at one point in their live. It is not usual. They are not god, but they are still the champion.
“Kung Fu is an art and a skill…..” was directed to Moron Da Gong ji before it was addressed to you, so if it does concern you, skip it. My previous posting was addressed to several persons, not only you.
you think I am afraid of some flimsy, lame, striptease Muay Thai dance movements or some BJJ submission ground fighting effective only when you are riding on your girl friend?? Think again. Come to California southern Tong Long school, I will have my black belts play with you and show you the real Kung Fu. See if you got a steel neck. Don’t expect to see a 120 lb Chinaman, We are way over that.
When I mentioned about the state. I didn’t mean the China state. I meant the United States, Idiot.
Cung Le got to the ground when doding a punch from Scott Smith, lost balance and fell.
should have said “it is not unusual”…
Would any of you guys like to come to CHINA to show them how it’s done?
What would it take? A plane ticket and a bit of cash? If you are not totally adverse to the concept of MMA then it might be a go this summer. We always need to diversify the card.
i watched the cung le films, that is 100% TKD.
Veerleft, where is your club, lets have an address
Hey, Dagonji,
Ngo diu nie ah ma gek CHOU, LAN hai. Sounds good and it rhymes, so one more time. Ngo diu nie lou mu gek CHOU LAN hai. Don’t forget the CHOU LAN. That sounds so much better. …. hahahahaha….Why should one write little essays on China political, economical, financial subjects??? The subject right now is martial art. China is based on a system totally different from the West or Canada. Yes, they don’t have much material things, or money, but they do live a very happy, contended simple lives. The westerners or the Canadians on the other hand have a higher suicide rate than China in spite of the fact that they have more money, material things. Money can’t buy love. Money can buy happiness only to a certain extend. To compare China with Canada or any other countries is like comparing apples with oranges. THERE IS NO COMPARISON. You got so much negative thinking about China or previously Nigeria. Why not just pack up and leave the country while you still can to save your sanity, no one is holding you back. DOLT, BLOCKHEAD, HALF-WIT, MORON, FOOL, idiot……feel free to choose one…hahahahahaha
i live in china and love china but the people and future of the country are fucked.
the suicide rate in china is very high and like all embarassing chinese problems, they oppress it so others cannot see. china makes great effort to deceive the world about all of their problems. if you are ethnic han chinese or PRC chinese you have never seen the truth about anything, you make 1200 kuai a month, get 3 days off a month, and can never afford to leave your big city as you have no time or money. you spend your life savings on chinese new year and ride a train with 500 people on each car to your shit hole village.
shit does have official statistic websites, they are obligated under commitments to the UN and WHO. but you cannot access all of them, ironic isn’t it?
http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2007-09/11/content_6095710.htm
I am sure you read the China Daily newspaper, i do. or can you afford it? here is an article written by people in your country about chinese people, under monitored press laws.
China’s suicide rate among world’s highest
By Xie Chuanjiao (China Daily)
Updated: 2007-09-11 07:22
China has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, particularly among rural women, an expert on suicide prevention said Monday.
Yang Fude, vice-president of Beijing Hui Long Guan Hospital, said China is the only country where suicides among women outnumber men.
“It is also one of the few countries where rural suicides outnumber urban suicides,” he said on World Suicide Prevention Day.
Recent statistics show more than 287,000 people end their own lives every year on the Chinese mainland.
Stress and depression cause 70 to 80 percent of suicides in urban areas, where many of those afflicted jump off buildings, according to data released by the Beijing Suicide Research and Prevention Center.
Half of the suicides on the mainland are of women in rural areas, who commonly drink pesticide to end their lives. They may do so because of family disputes, low-educational levels and restricted social communication.
More than 58 percent of suicides by females and 27 percent of attempts in rural areas used pesticides.
Though suicide ranks fifth after cerebrovascular diseases (such as a stroke), bronchitis, chronic emphysema, liver cancer and pneumonia, it is the leading cause of death for people aged between 15 and 34.
A two-year survey by researchers at Peking University found over 20 percent of 140,000 high-school students interviewed said they had considered committing suicide. And 6.5 percent of the students surveyed said they had made plans to kill themselves.
“Compared with Western countries, suicide in China is an escape from immediate problems and not related to mental issues as much,” Yang said.
“Here suicides are more often spur of the moment.”
Yang called for more attention to be paid to potential suicides of young women in rural areas and senior citizens in urban areas.
“As the nation ages, more elderly people are left at home with psychological and physical problems,” Yang said.
Zhan Chunyun, dean of the Guangzhou-based Kangning Psychology Hotline, suggested counseling and prevention services should be more accessible.
“The number of suicides can be drastically reduced if more medication, hotline and counseling facilities are available, particularly in the countryside,” Zhan said.
Currently, the country has just 19 professional suicide intervention institutes registered nationwide. These provide depression hot lines staffed by nurses, depression-awareness campaigns and psychiatrists in emergency rooms.
The central government has gradually realized suicide is becoming a public health issue that happens to all groups of people.
Research has been launched to investigate the reasons for young people committing suicide.
chinese people are not happy and never have been happy, the history of the country has been oppression of the working class and a special life for the priviledged.
odd the high number of girls killing themselves, but if i had low education and had no option except to marry a dirty garlic breathed pencil dicked chinaman i would consider suicide.
so funny whenever i confront a chinaman about social problems in china they spew the same “leave the country’ rhetoric. part of being chinese is denying social problems. i am here teaching your incompetent doctors advanced surgical techniques.
look nigger, if you want to communicate, use chinese characters,
like all medical problems in china, most assistance comes from international aid, china cannot afford to give medical care to its own people,

what i marvel at is how ignorant and typcially chinese you are. “happiness” are you mentally fucking retarded? chinese happiness not based on material wealth, holy fuckin cow, china is the most materialistic country in the world. the fact that people own very little does not mean they do not want it. China is even making a happiness scale so t hat they can show the world how happy they are.that will be an honest survey, right?
manulife.com/public/news/detail/0,,lang=en&artId=145493&navId=630002,00.html
I can not agree with Da Gong Ji more. There is simply no future of our country.
I saw in this website people are surprised that Chinese are racist, I dont deny it, but I have to explain that this is because they never see a person with color in their life before so they dont know how to accept things that are different and dont know how to open their mind.
All the misery and ignorance of Chinese people coming from the country’s dictatorship. If people are denied access to outside world, how people can learn the fundamental concept of democracy and human right?
We have made great effort to be in line with the west, but this will not happen until all Chinese people understand what their rights are and what democracy means.
Chinese are materialist because they have been taught to not be involved with politics and mind their own business, so money becomes the only stadard of their happiness. This is just so sad. I have also been taught I am just a normal person and better just live my own normal life without trying to change anything in vein.
Image how comfortable you feel if people in a train station circle you and take pictures with their cell phone cameras and call their friends and tell them they have seen a laowai.
Business men stop their car so they can have a picture with the laowai.
i love china and the chinese people but there is a critical battle between demand for growth and pressure on limited resources
however 加油
Dagonmon,
Look it here, asshole, you as a “lao wai”, (ngo diu nie gor mui or gar jet gek dai fee hai.)came to China from another 3rd world country, Canada, critizes everything Chinese, the people, their ideology, political views, financial and economical condition, social and enviromental factors etc..etc…and you turn around suddenly and said you love China and its people. You have to be the biggest hypocrite I ever seen. What is your real intention of staying in China? To stir up trouble for the Chinese people? to rule China? or to live in China as a their so called counter-revolutionist and a spy? huh? My ass you go to China to teach their doctors the advanced surgical techniques. Their surgical techniques or Medicine is already far more advanced than any third world countries inluding Canada. Admit it, another reason why you came to China was to get a brain surgery, to tighten some screws and connect some loose wires in your head in the hope that it would cure your insanity.
By the way, in case you don’t know, Dagonmon in Chinese, means BIG ASS HOLE.
Let’s keep Martial Art forum Martial Art, not some warped prejudiced political views. Keep them to yourself. We don’t need all that prapaganda here. We don’t want to hear it, Bak gwai (white devil) or white trash in your country. You will be happier living on E Hasting street in Vancouver as a homeless person than in China once you get thrown out of China.
Daphie,
I don’t know if you are male or female, but you do sound like someone who would spread his/her thighs every night to make a few yuens to satisfy your materialistic needs. Just because you and your family are materialistic, don’t put words in the billions of Chinese’s mouth that they are too. Far from it, billions of them are happy where they are living simple lives with simple needs. Happiness is a state of mind, is not measured by how many dollars you have in your bank account. What do you mean they have never seen a color person? They are color (yellow race) themselves. You sound like a fucking ignorant ass kissing individual and don’t preach about human rights, democracy, dictatorship here. Again this is a Martial Arts forum not some fucking politic forum. You want to kiss “lao wai”’s ass and suck their dicks every night. That is your prerogative. It is people like you who makes China weak. The Chinese got a name for you “My gwok Zai”, TRAITOR.
To Malachi, I and my family are just normal people, and we are not materialist. But I do think overall it creates a bad image of us Chinese people when we attack whoever has a different opinion, and his/her family. My family can not decide how I think.
I dont blame you for your way of thinking. We are all brought up by this system, and we can not see the problem of the system if we dont stand out of it. One problem is all these years of progess, has been made by a expansive price. We lost our tradition and culture, it has all been replaced by the determination to get richer. When I was in Shaolin this year, I feel really bad to see it has filled up by monks that do not look real, and it seems they just want to make money here in this Buddism temple.
There is just too much to say. I hope things can change.
Daphie,
The problem with you is you assume everything. First you assume the Chinese people are taught not to get involved in politics, just mind their own business and money becomes their only standard of happiness. Then you said “we lost our culture and tradition, it has all been replaced by the determination to get richer”. Are you out of your mind? How did all the Chinese politicians come about if they were taught not to get involved in politics? As I said before, happiness is a state of mind, it is not measured by how large your bank account is. The Chinese culture and tradition are all alive and well. They have not lost anything of importance. The determination to get richer has no relationship to the lost of culture and tradition. Tell me who IN THE WORLD does not want to get richer? That goes to America and the European countries. Do you want to get poorer so your can preserve the Chinese culture and tradition???? And then you assume I am brought up by your system because of my way of thinking. There is no fucking way. I don’t live or am brought up in your country, my thinking is strictly independent like an independent auditor auditing books. Although I must admit I am an excellent linquist and a genius.
You seem deranged and illogical in your thinking, you need psychiatric help as soon as possible, so does your friend Dagonmun, BIG ASSHOLE in Cantonese.
Look, when you ASSUME, you make an ASS of U and ME. I don’t mind you make an ASS of yourself, just do not assume anything for me and make me an ass as well.
First of all to do businesss is far better then fighting.
Second, everything should be done under basic moral standards, such as if you gain you should share.
Third, its human nature to be compete, but in order to satisfy the humans desire why we need to act like animals.
Let them compete and survive a japanese action game show or something- that’s interesting. By the way both fighting styles deserve respect.
