Same here. I see the ME ME ME attitude everyday in China and it makes me think of undisciplined kindergarten children in the USA.

…on a public bus in Qingdao, a 20-year-old girl refused to give a disabled elderly her seat, drawing the scorn of those around her. A male passenger took our a 100 yuan note and furiously used it to slap her cheek: “100 yuan bill is your’s, will you give up your seat, will you give up your seat…”

Why didn’t that guy just give the woman his seat?

C,mon you indignant Chinese people.
I am an International Visitor (the term “Foreigner”is actually quite rude),living in Guangzhou.
I frequently travel on buses.I have seen old ladies pushed out of the way by mature (in body,if not in mind)Males,in their rush to be first on a bus.
I have given up my seat to an obviously pregnant lady,holding a child about 2 years old,accompanied by a boy of about 12 years old (so much for the one child policy).
But I digress – the point is,I gave up my seat for the Lady,and….you guessed it,she gave the seat to the 12 year old boy.not the 1st similar incident.
News flash for Chinese Males – Ladies are becoming more educated and empowered -SHOW SOME RESPECT.Dongma?
