universal health care ain’t free. You pay for it through taxes so you really aren’t taking advantage of anything. you Chinese can line up in hospitals all day, but is it really worth the lost wages u incurred during these ‘advantageous’ sick leaves? besides, its not like China did not have a health care scheme, back when it was still communist. many older generations now, i believe, regard the current system as a step backwards from the communist era.

on the other hand, your proposition of a worker compo scheme can actually be exploited easily by dodgy workers and requires large amount of workplace reform and government supervision. its a good idea, considering the terrible Chinese work safety records, but its not ‘very simple’.

Universal healthcare in China is realistically going to be a long way off. I was trying to say many countries in the world aspire world class health care similar to that of Europe. Now, although it is expensive from the point of view of levying taxes are high, people in those countries generally make use of it and are grateful.

Now some conservatives which they are many perceived this as a ’socialist system’ and its not the government’s burden to provide that sort of service and should leave it in private hands. Now that can be debatable… depending on which side of the Atlantic you are from. Some people believe its the government duty to look after the people. Others think its their personal responsibility to look after themselves and have choice.

In the other extreme end, you have the US which does not have universal health care but have a strong private health care system. It sometimes work for minor health issues, sometimes it doesn’t work out good for the patients because patients are left high and dry with gap expenses which the health funds don’t cover.

Back to your question about China’s health system. China has a range of options to see what kind of health care system it wants in place and the cost. Having a universal health system will be take decades. But to have something in place that can get the process going, maybe help kickstart the private health industry so that people who work or who can afford, pay private health insurance.

This will relief pressure from the public hospitals and public purse strings.

you started the war. I was not critical of china. you started it. i was only talking about the health care system.
If you are not a chinese and does not belong to any of the minorities there, you have no right to speak for china. you refused to reveal your nationality which goes to show that your own country has nothing to shout about.

Son, I am a pure chinese. my late father is from guang dong. I have step brothers from there. do you really think I wish to run down my mother country. to you, china is only your adopted country. I was only talking about the health care system which the chinese themselves agreed there are flaws there. you started talking about those who have money don’t go to K.L. hospital. your argument reflects your mentality and maturity.

We are not the oppressed lot. we don’t shoot people for corruption. I am still proud to be a malaysian. I own three properties and drive a camry. I can visit my step brothers anytime I want. can I do so if I am victimised by the goverment.
