China is a shame society – most western countries are guilt societies.

SHAME comes from outside oneself – others recognizing that you did something wrong.

GUILT comes from inside oneself – knowing that what you did was wrong.

If he sucessfully claims he did no wrong, that it was all a misunderstanding, – there is no shame (or loss of face).

WE know he did wrong.

HE knows he did wrong.

BUT if he sucessfully claims he did no wrong, then he is not shamed.

OF COURSE he claims he did nothing wrong – why would he want to shame himself?

OF COURSE the Shanghaiers want to claim it’s all other people’s fault – why would they want to shame themselves?

The only thing I found surprising is that the camera people were so foolish as to think they could get him to admit he did wrong on camera.

Being a dodgy train patron is nothing new. As China is bracing for slower economic growth, expect more people to try and scab a free ride.

It happens in every major city with a metro subway. Thing is, Shanghai people should stop finger pointing at non locals and grow some balls man.

What have Canadians to do with Mexican Immigrants in the USA. Exactly nothing. Canada is North of the US and Mexico is South or the US. Jayman must have missed some Geography lessons. But it is never too late to learn something.
