Beijing University VP Wants To “Insert” In Female Student

From Mop:

A man claiming to be a Beijing University vice-president recently planned to use promises of benefits/favors to take sexual advantage of a female university student. After being stopped by the police, this man not only refused to cooperate, he threw around his title.

On February 26 around 11pm, Zhengzhou City police received a call that a girl was being assaulted/attacked in a hotel. pol.ice rushed to the scene and after understanding the full details of the situation, the assailant — also the victim’s boss not only refused to cooperate, he actually threw around his title, saying to the pol.ice: “I am Beijing University’s Minglun College’s Vice President, I am Wang Zihan!” Afterward, he repeatedly referred to himself as “a public figure”.

After investigations later, Beijing University’s Minglun College’s Vice President is indeed a person named Wang Zihan, whose appearance  indeed looks strikingly similar to this “Wang Zihan”.  However according to pol.ice: “He is only someone who comes out to give lectures, and cannot be considered a public figure.”

In view of this matter, the police* reminds: Female university students should draw a lesson from this. Girls should not so easily trust certain so-called experts and scholars. These people are strongly deceptive.

This is the news video report about this incident:

Translations of the main highlights of the video that most Chinese netizens feel are very funny:

0:09 – 0:22

Girl: “He undid my bra. He planned to sexually assault me. He said ‘I am no less/inferior to any of your other guys. Do you consider me too old [for you]?” He was going to, then he said ‘I want to insert [插, cha] in you.’”

0:30 – 0:45

Girl: [Explains that the man promised to give her benefits or help her with her career.]

0:50 – 0:55

Man: “I am Beijing University’s Minglun College’s Vice President, I am Wang Zihan! I am telling you [pointing at the camera], stop filming.”

1:00 – 1:03

Man: [pointing at camera] “I am a public figure, give me some face, okay?”

* The original post above included most of the details from the video news report, but there was a mistake: It was the girl’s father who said this on the phone, not the police.

This is the picture of Vice President Wang Zihan from Beijing University website:

Public figures also have normal physiological needs, but going to other people’s houses late at night to play hide and seek [duo mao mao] is not right.

Haha, by day he is a “jiao shou” [professor], by night he is a “qin shou” [beast]. But behaving like this is also too shamelessly open. Let’s see what happens to him after he gets out from this.

紫色2009:

I bet the female student and this bastard went to open a room, and something simply unexpected happened. Both are TMD no good.

宇时空间:

At the very least he should be charged for attempted rape. The police were also TMD letting him go because of who he is!
Fuck!

星飞影落:

It would be good if he is not from Beijing University. If he is from Beijing University, then it really is disappointing. Their [good] image would be lost.  Nowadays there are a lot of people from who knows where pretending they are from some [well-known] university, which is really bad. When outside, be careful!

This video’s highlight is that MM saying the “insert” word.

I don’t know man. The girl went with him to a hotel in the evening. What did she think was about to happen? A friendly game of Majong? No respect for the professor but if a chick goes to a hotel with the guy in that manner she shouldn’t act all surprised and start screaming rape when he makes a pass at her. On the other hand I suspect it could be hard for a girl to turn her professor down since the guy could basically f_ck up her studies for good if he wanted. Viewed in that light I definately think the professor should be fired for his not-so-subtle approach, but girl,, don’t think that you are totally in the clear here.

If she hadn’t gone to the hotel with him, he would have given her poor grades. There would have been no public outcry, but her future would be at risk.

She most likely went with him because she couldn’t say no to him. She most likely was too scared of offending him to say no. When the issue became real rather than just theoretical, then her self-preservation instinct kicked in, and she finally spoke out.

Blaming the girl will stop other girls from speaking out. Unless you any concrete evidence that the girl wanted to do this – which you don’t – then you should not blame the girl at all.

  17. Haha! I don’t understand why he would say that on camera. If I were him I would blocked the damn camera and no comment the hell out of there. Know what I mean?

Most people driving military vehicles are not military unless they are in uniform, or if they are, are not licensed military drivers. Police have the right to stop and even (I think) arrest non-military drivers of military vehicles, they HAVE to be licensed BY THE MILITARY to drive Military vehicles, specifically, and can’t just roll about in their friends truck. In fact, there was a lot of corruption around military people allowing non-military people to use their military vehicles so they could drive around ‘above the law’ and get special privileges, in exchange for business benefits for the military person who was responsible for the vehicle.

Yeah, this sounds like the police are taking two things very seriously here.
    1. Bribery and unfair grading
    2. Use of leverage “as a boss” to demand sexual favors at a subordinate’s risk – ie sexual harassment.

VERY seriously. This shit goes unnoticed all the time in the U.S. If a girl sleeps with her professor for better grades, people just shrug “what you going to do right?” because the courts here suck and don’t take it seriously that the professor’s power could make it coercion, because they assume it is ALWAYS entirely free will and the girl having other good options. Courts here are no good. Always say it is “her fault” and “she wanted it” – yes that is true many times, but what about when it is not.

    Looks like Chinese police either
    A. Take it very differently and see the leverage and power difference and assume the girl is unable to give consent in this case *before* they find out the facts and what power this guy could/would’ve used to screw her career over.
    B. Or they just wanted an excuse to “plant” this guy – “set him up” – take a violation with a student (which, again, maybe was consensual, maybe was not) and use it to ruin him. Other posters are right. Something very fishy about just how seriously they are taking this and the way it was addressed.
