Often when people offer help to an old woman who has fallen in the street, for example, they end up being blamed by the old lady and held responsible for hospital fees. Some of my Japanese teammates had a similar thing happen to them after a fight broke out at a soccer match in Chengdu. There had been some (racial?) tension throughout and during the game a fight broke out in which the whole opposing team surrounded (clearing their bench) and isolated two of our players (Japanese), then repeatedly kicked them while they were on the ground. Not a pretty sight.
After, the Chinese team looked pretty smug about what they had done. More than a little embarrassing in my views (I’m of Chinese descent) since Japanese fascist propaganda in the 1930’s and 40’s used to claim it took 10 Chinese soldiers to equal one Japanese. Made me start to think Imperial Japan might have been right about something.
More likely, fighting in a mass helps to dispel guilt/responsibility.

In the beginning of the video (about the 17 sec mark) they smashed her head on the concrete…that would have done enough damage to seriously disorient most people even if it had not been followed up by some pretty viscous knee strikes/kick to the base of the neck. A similar incident happened in the U.S. a while back – a bunch of girls beat one poor girl and videotaped it, and within days those perpetrators were caught and jailed. I’m sad to say that it’s unlikely these girls here would be taught a lesson in the same way. I just pray that karma will come back to haunt them.
I never understood video taping a crime and sending it to everyone. It’s like saying “here officer, arrest me”. Photoshop that shit(or the video editor equivalent. I have just watched this horrible video. I only hope 1) that the victim is now well 2) that her tormentors have been punished very severely. Clearly, these criminals need psychiatric treatment, but, as I have said before, public humiliation (apologizing to the victim on TV) + a prison term, preferably with hard labor,also televised, are also needed to scare and deter other potential bullies.
Young people should be protected against violence, this should be a priority on any governement’s agenda, in China or in our Western countries. There are cruel people everywhere, including in my country, France, of course.

i have lived in china for three years. this is very typical street justice. i have never seen girls do it but i have seen many men beat their wives and many men beat one man. chinese are the most cowardly people i have ever seem. men will walk by a woman getting beat and not even look. each man i have pulled off a girl has said the exact same thing, “but it is my wife”
this is just sick. Before I saw this I used to think that a majority of Chinese people were disciplined, kind-hearted, and respectful, but after seeing those girls beat up that girl it….it just disgusted me. It’s obvious from the beginning that she has been beaten up even before that spineless bastard started filming the video. I noticed that she had no shoes or sandals whatsoever. In the beginning of the video. Maybe she fought back, or tried to run away and they beat her more then ever. I also know that the leader was the girl with the water bottle since she continually talked to her and gave her a few brutal blows herself. There is a limit to how far you should go in beating up the girl. If this was back in America 4 of the following things would happen:
1) Police would come and break up the fight.
2) The person beating up the other would of stopped after he/she is not even making an effort to defend themselves.
3)Someone(or more than one)would’ve broken up the fight themselves after they deemed it has gone too far.
4) If no one did stop the fight then eventually the police will find out and arrest you, charge you(if legal age) put it on the news and you will be shamed for as long as people can remember.
These girls are nothing but a bunch of lowly, dirty, putrid sleeze bags who rely and feed upon the fear they invoke in others to keep them loyal or as “friends” and when they step out of line they mercilessly beat them to a pulp, and the fact that no one did anything to stop it is a shock as well. The least they could’ve done was notify the police.
As for the girl who got beaten she is lucky that she is not paralyzed, comatose, or dead from those blows. I can literally feel the vibrations of the impact. Honestly that kind of force isn’t necessary. It saddens me to see how our world is becoming.
