Dance performances are common for many big events or parties at Chinese company and school events. Here are some popular videos of funny performances that have been watched many times by Chinese netizens, including one by PricewaterhouseCoopers. It is less serious than many of the bad news on BBS forums.

Tianjin Hebei district Post Office, you guys ROCK!
I almost spewed juice on my screen!
Our company has these annual craptaculars, at which managers used to do this sort of stuff, basically acting the ass in front of their staff after a hard year.
Then some of them decided they didn’t like being laughed at, so now its just all boring ‘American Idol’ rip-off singing contests.
The company I used to work for did something similar. I found it painful and could not enjoy it because it was the overpaid top guys prancing around and encouraging us to join in (and who wouldn’t… your boss wants you to so you must… and with a smile). All the while I was angry about mistreated employee friends (one with cancer who they would not reduce her workload… saying, “when you get better we can talk about this” but she’s telling them that she’s not getting better and will die in a few months and they won’t listen), the company’s unfriendly policies towards it’s own workers (after being attacked on the job by a crazy person I was informed that my injury claims were not going to be covered by the company… I had to fight this and I won but still), tight pay, slow reimbursement, etc.
A small example of a minor irritant… they had a special, “celebratory” employee discount on coffee mugs with the company logo… only $10 each. Wow… such generosity. Then they hold a festival like this and expect us to hop and prance with joy. Ugh.
its only funny the first time, and a bit gay.
silly…..
