Cantonese Guy Shocks Himself With 5 Million Volts

From Mop, “Mopper bought a 5 million volt electric shock rod! Live test! Not for minors!“:

Yesterday in Guangzhou, I bought a 5 million volt electric shock rod, and performed a human body test today:

Video also on Youku.

Chinese Lesson Time网友 = wang3 you3 = “web friends”, internet friends, or netizens.
In the video, a young (probably) Cantonese guy greets netizens, introduces himself as 风水步惊云 (”feng shui bu jing yun”), and demonstrates the electric shock rod he purchased in Guangzhou. He also admits that his “Putonghua (Mandarin) is not very good.”

The words at the end of the video say: “Afterwards, I was unconscious for 6 hours, and there was a small burn on my hand.”

Comments from video page on Youku:

It is fake, too lazy to say. 吐

He did not record the burn on his hand? Fake?

Are you crazy?
Haha LOL!
What a clown!
However, that moment where he shocks himself still scared me.
I thought after he lost consciousness he would suddenly wake up and laugh: “Actually, I am not hurt! Haha!”
But that did not happen…ruined my expectations.

Please permit me to call you: Hero!

If you do not live with 100% courage, then you are an idiot.

Niu bi!”

Why not spit some foam, this way it would look more real…

Comments from original post on Mop:

You motherfucking have a mental problem! I admire you!

Your Putonghua (Mandarin) is even more frightening.

I thought it was a foreigner.
Please speak Putonghua (Mandarin).

LOL, let me rest for a moment…
HAHAHAHA…

While this is hot, here are some of my photoshopped pictures:

I kept waiting for him to crawl back up, but in the end came the “six hours later” message, and also, right after he finishes speaking, he collapses! So cool!

HAHAHAHA LZ, you are too “niu bi!” Fuck! Haha! I laugh each time I watch it. Also, you should probably practice your Putonghua (Mandarin). Haha!

LZ’s expression looks like he is preparing to use that on a little girl!!! ~~~

HAHAHAHA! I laughed like crazy! Lou zhu, you are a motherfucking hilarious genius!

I was going to go to sleep but suddenly saw this post.
Laughed until my stomach hurt and now I cannot sleep…

NB! Do you know what 5 million volts means? NB!

Simply too “niu“, you godly person, how about using it to shock your dick?

Watched it 3 times, you are motherfucking crazy!

LOL!!!
Even if it was just an act, I still admire him!
If it was real, I really advise going to the hospital.

This is spreading to other BBS forums very quickly…

It is quite possible to survive 5 million volts, if it is high frequency alternating current. But, it is not possible for such a little device to produce any kind of 5 million volts. 5kV maybe, but 5 MV? In CRT TV highest voltage is 20kV made by device 5 time bigger.
Then, current flowed over his skin on his Chinese palm. I’m saying that ’cause Chinese skin have bigger electrical resistance. I don’t believe that 5kV over hand will shock Chinese guy for 6 hours, especially from Canton.

This thing have 5 million volts only if my MP4, bought in TianYa market, have 2GB

    never heard of stun gun?

    yes…but 6 hours? no.
He likely makes the device and this is a marketing ploy.
That small device lacks the current to put him out. The voltage can be as high as you like, but without the current to back it, it’s unlikely to do permanent harm. If he was out for any length of time he would also have had a cardiac arrest (henceforth dead, braindamage etc). I’m calling fakers on this one too, but very good acting.

Air have dielectric brakedown on 3000kV/m. It is about 100kV per inch. The same value manufacturers claims for 9V stun gun makes, but that voltage is lot more smaller after contact with body.

Also, there is some surface currents, that flows over the surface of stun gun, which lowers the voltage.

As I found, stun gun with highest voltage have 1,2MV, with electrodes on palm wide distance.

You can found 650kV small size stuns, but it is marketing trick.

As I heard, and I got convinced later, Chinese (and other East Asia people) have smaller number of sweat cells, so they sweat less than Caucasian and smells less than Caucasian people. So Chinese skin is dryer.

Side effect is that I couldn’t find deodorant in Beijing few years ago.
Also, side effect is smooth skin of Chinese girls that western guys like to touch.

Dry skin means better insulation. East Asian people smells less and conduct electric current worse.

I was told about it, and I found that after basket, I was only one who smells between 5 other Chinese players.

As I said, I was told that, but, look at this wikipedia article
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_odor, also

    I found this articles today.

Even Oprah had a show about that with guy called Mehmed Oz, which made lot of stir.

So if Asian people have less sweat glands and thus sweat less, does this also mean Asian people are less efficient at cooling down their body? The ramifications of such a genetic difference are huge! That makes Asians more susceptible to fevers and potentially less athletically competent! Oh noes!

OMGOMGOMG, I need to show my mom this. She was always adamant that if you had wet earwax, you smelled (my immediate family has dry earwax).

I guess there is something to her wisdom.

Yes, that’s why Chinese national football team will never perform well… :)

    I’m joking.

Not all Asians, just East Asians. I think there’s no direct connection between number of glands and athletic performance. Maybe it does matter in long lasting disciplines as football, marathon, cycling,… On other side, East Asians catch cold and muscle spasm less than others. As skin is dryer, they are less exposed to some diseases. And there’s a Tiger Balm for fever…

As we saw on Olympics, East Asians (dry earwax people) did better than South Asians (wet earwax people). Don’t forget that Japanese marathon girls are one of best in the world.

I’m sure that nature found way to compensate lack of sweat glands.

I don’t want this discussion to go racial, just wanted to back my opinion that Cantonese guy faking.

Which brings me to my question from earlier story: Why people lies about this things? If I’m not electrical engineer, and I hadn’t strait A’s from biology in elementary school, I would believe to this guy.

I am happy to touch skin of my wife as she have smoother and paler skin than any Chinese girl. Even beauticians in Beijing asked my wife what she using.

But, when I played basket with mentioned Chinese guys, they asked me:
Did you touch Chinese girl skin?
    Me: “No”
He: “I can arrange you to meet one girl…”
    I was stumbled….

kdr, body odour is mainly affected by what you eat. Westerners usually eat a lot more meat than Asians which makes us stink more (in more ways than one!)

Having less sweat glands would only mean that asians are less efficient at cooling themselves down, nothing else. Anyway I highly doubt it our sweat gland make up is any different.

Point is: less glands, less sweat, less moisture, more electrical resistance. Guy is faking (although funny).

Although, the voltage cannot be 5 million volts but I am pretty sure this isn’t a fake act, because a conscious person who is faking it, may lag for a while or will take time acting as an unconscious.
The way he presses/clicks the button and the time between he press the button and got unconscious is really small, all might have happened in milli seconds… This isn’t fake at all.
