Audit Office State Enterprise Spent 17 Million on Alcohol

The 2014 annual report issued by the Audit Office has revealed questionable tabs left by various state-run enterprises, reporting that affiliate companies of China Power Investment Corporation spent 17,536,600 RMB on high quality alcohol last year. Electricity company China Guodian Corporation also left a 1,435,400 RMB tab for alcohol and tobacco, claiming the costs to be, “meeting expenses”. One netizen commented, “No wonder electricity bills are so high.”
