Got to love how banks all over want to charge you for not having any money. Its like they want to discourage poor folks from putting money into their bank and thereby deprive themselves of the extra capital.

I would like to see the math on this.

    • bujiebuke

      LMAO, I bet you would…

We get it, you don’t like me. Are you ever gonna make a reply to me that relates to the topic, or you are just gonna troll?

        • bujiebuke

Sorry I couldn’t resist and I don’t hate you. I just think many of your comments are amusingly shallow.

Look, google compounding interest formula and you can use it to calculate how much interest the bank was charging the guy. You’ll have to make a guess on the frequency of the interest – monthly is reasonable in this case. It’s not that difficult…

Someone already posted a reply giving me the information I wanted. By what he said it would have to be 15% monthly interest, which is insane.

    • jin

      (12months x 6 years = 72times) If you calculate it like this 0.60 × 15% interest a MONTH = 0.69 × 15% = 0,7935 x 1.15 = 0.912525 x 1.15 and so on for a total of 72 times. You will get around 9k.

      • Jahar

15% a month for an overdraft? That sounds pretty high. I don’t think the mafia even charges that much interest.

Overdraft fees is such an evil predatory injustice it should be illegal and whoever put those protocols into place needs to be hung from their testicles until they die.
