Company at Heart of Tianjin Explosions Exposed
The background of the company at the center of the Tianjin explosions has been revealed by Beijing News. Tianjin Binhai New District Ruihai International Logistics Co. Ltd. was set up in 2012, and says it mainly provides transportation and storage services for all kinds of hazardous chemicals, permission for which was obtained in May 2014. Despite this, an environmental impact assessment issued in 2013 acknowledged the danger posed by the company’s “hazardous and flammable materials”, but said it was “within acceptable limits”. One netizen said that any license could easily be bought.

I don’t like how they are quoting that what they did was allowed under environmental guidelines by the sound of it.

    According to

“Chinese law for businesses involving dangerous chemicals states that
storing such materials should be at least 1,000 meters from public

In China the EPA is just another government arm to get “grey income”. They don’t care about anything relating to their job. The Netizens are very right in that any license can easily be bought in China.

You know of the live news report where a Chinese reported commented on this very issue the live news was quickly shut off and when it returned no further mention about any such things happened.

Several of us are rather impressed with that young CNN reporter that keeps getting removed from reporting on live TV and always they come up with some silly response as to why. Got to be quick though, that news gets harmonized very quickly.

Yes, I watched that vidoe also, and it has been deleted from most Chinese websites. Thanks to CNN and social networks, at least we can know something true…

I was wondering which official owned this company. Close enough.
