Diner Posts Complaint, Waiter Pours Scalding Soup Over Her

A woman in Wenzhou who complained online about a waiter’s bad attitude ended up being scalded with soup by the man. After diner Ms. Lin’s request for a water top-up was declined by waiter Mr. Zhu, and an altercation began. Shortly after, Lin posted online the comment, “The waiter at ‘Mr. Hotpot’ has a vile attitude”. Confirming with Lin what she had just done, Zhu came back with a bowl of scalding-hot soup, and poured it over her head. Lin required treatment for severe burns over which the restaurant has advanced 20,000 RMB. Zhu has since been arrested. Netizens speculated the incident would end the restaurant.
