Earth 2.0 Found 1400 Light Years Away, Netizens React

Recently NASA announced the finding of Kepler 452b, a planet very similar to our own. It is the most similar planet to earth that has ever been found, and scientists say it could have an atmosphere and flowing water.Sarcastic netizens took to the comments to make jabs at government policies. One highly up voted comment mocked the Hukou system and its bureaucratic rules, asking “Can people registered in the countryside move there? Do you need a certificate? If so, which government office to I go to to get it?”. Another top rated comment said “This planet has belonged to my country [China] since ancient times!”.

Love the netizin coment about it belonging to China since ancient times…who says Chinese aren’t sarcastic.
I miss netizins coments.. used to be damned interesting.

People who claim that chinese not able to understand sarcasm is xenophobic bias.

Lets just say they are ignorant and not put it down to reasons of prejudice shall we?

I figure the odds of life out there are almost certain. All those stars, all those planets, what are the odds Earth is the only place things materialized? Not sure if they’re doing things like surfing the internet though, haha.

I think there is very likely life on other planets. . but I think intelligent life is just a fluke that only happened on earth.

      • KamikaziPilot

I believe that’s a distinct possibility. Things like bacteria have a far greater possibility of existing outside our world than so called “intelligent life”. Then again, if there is intelligent life out there they may be thinking the same thing you’re thinking.

Well billions of years have passed. Odds are the fluke could happen again.
