Elderly Man Heists Cash Delivery After Refused Service At Bank

An elderly Jiangxi man surprised bank employees when he decided to rob them. In a hurry to withdraw money, the man wasn’t satisfied when the bank teller informed him that the bank was closed and they were unable to serve him. The man, who is over 70 years old, refused to leave, staying in the bank until he saw an opportunity as the bank was preparing to make a cash delivery, and seized the cash box from the armed guards. Taking into account the man’s age and realising he may have mental issues, the police let him off with a warning and called family members to pick him up.

In USA I doubt he would have gotten off with a warning…

      “Warning shots” perhaps.

In the U.S., he would have been shot at least a dozen times, after being tased. Praise must be given to these police who showed empathy rarely ever seen in China, or perhaps anywhere else in the world.

Kudos to the police for using common sense and to the armed guards for not using their weapons (which really should be common sense too but unfortunately not universally agreed upon)

    • You do know they use blanks, don’t you?

I wish he’d gotten away with it.
