Food Oil Company to Prosecute Poster of Damaging Video

The original poster of a viral video featuring a Taiwanese tour guide revealing news of a food oil company’s questionable produce to mainland Chinese tourists has had a lawsuit filed against them. Dingxin subsidiary Kangshifu said that its mainland Chinese produce meets the required standards. The company has identified “Ke Xiaoyang” of Shanghai Oufu Communication Technology Co., Ltd. as the “culprit”, and has raised a civil appeal to Shanghai County Court, seeking 1.5 million RMB in compensation. Many netizens thought it strange that the video’s poster was being sued and not the tour guide.
