The shriveled corpse of a 14-year-old boy from Xinyang who went missing from his family for over 6 months has sparked an investigation by authorities. Wang Zhiqiang was discovered last October by Yangshan local police station, who put him in the care of a rescue center. Months later, he was sent to hospital where he was diagnosed with malnutrition, anemia, gastritis, hypoproteinemia, organ dysfunction syndrome and grazes. After passing away 2 weeks later, his father finally identified the bony corpse of his son, and demands to know why the center didn’t publish information about his son earlier.
