Can you believe what the blind says? A poor area won’t suffer that much loss, they intentionally exaggerated [the situation], so that rich people will show off by taking out their wallets and donate money.
A moment of silence for our compatriots who have lost their lives in the earthquake! A prayer for those injured by the earthquake!
Why didn’t this take place in the island country [Japan]!!
Whenever an earthquake happens, all I see is that China is where houses and buildings collapse the most!
I beg you guys, post less of this kind of vexing news. I have no problems with donating money, I just faintly wish I could know where my money goes.
Every time when I see news about an earthquake or see the homeless people, there’s a sadness I feel that can’t be put into words. Nor can I help them. No matter where an earthquake happens, they are all innocent people, all very ordinary people. It might be that they have different dialects, different lifestyles, but I hope that in our hearts we all wish for peace in the world and between people. I hope people in the disaster area can get help from the government and can all eat well and sleep well.
Where is the Red Cross? Are they no longer showing their faces now that money is hard to collect?
A prayer for all those affected by the disaster.
A prayer for the people who are affected by the earthquake, be safe.

As of 12 noon of September 9, this earthquake has caused 81 deaths and 821 injuries in Yiliang County. This picture is of people waiting to get the freely provided instant noodles.

Is the Black Cross [referring to the corrupt Red Cross of China] hiding in delicacies or qi bi miniskirts?
[Note: A qi bi miniskirt is a kind of skirt so short that one can almost see the wearer’s underpants.]
One one side is Maotai, and the other side potatoes.
[Note: Maotai is a famous but very expensive Chinese liquor brand that government officials are fond of receiving as gifts, this comment meant to juxtapose the lifestyles of government officials with those of the poor in China.]
The sign of a rising great nation!
How can we get millions of houses to shelter all the poor so that they can be happy?
A charred potatoe, a pair of aged hands, an expression of helplessness, a saddened heart. These are the special characteristics of a socialist country.

When I was watching the news that day, they said they were getting three dishes and soup [for each meal], had clean water to drink, and the living conditions seemed even better than before the earthquake.
China on the tip of the tongue.
[Note: This is satire of a recently popular Chinese TV show that introduces delicious food from all around China.]
Those high government officials are still eating delicacies!!! They don’t care about that much at all.
It’s a disaster zone, are they supposed to be eating shark fin and birds nest [expensive Chinese delicacies]? The government and the Red Cross can only do what they can, provide for the basic needs of the disaster victims. “Good” is not the standard involved here, just “suitable”.
What’s wrong with potatoes and instant noodles? What’s the meaning of satisfying one’s hunger???
It’s already very good, don’t be ungrateful.
